Cedric's is a restaurant attached to "The Shed," which I thought was a hipster hotel lobby on steroids but turns out to be a fusion of art gallery and "creators' space" in Hudson Yards. Cedric's arrives with a lot of hype, but Meg R., Bianca S., and I weren't falling for that; we just needed to eat at like midnight, and this place was open.
Stuff is pretty good, I have to say, and I'm someone who is really suspicious of celebrity chefs. We had two orders of the crab dip, the pigs in a blanket (a sausage wrapped in bread), and deviled eggs. Pigs were OK, but deviled eggs and crab dip were delicious, so much so that we had to double our order of the latter. Atmosphere is also really relaxed, and you can chill and talk into the late hours. Bartenders were very chatty, friendly, and jovial without being intrusive on our convo, which centered a lot on relationship issues and other human drama that is the stuff of millennial life.
