Cedric's at The Shed

We hung out here while waiting for the rest of our party for Viola’s room, but now plan to go back just for Cedric’s. What a great place. Clean, spacious, good vibes, great cocktails, a nice snack menu. They have board games. The bartender and the servers were super nice.

Beautifully designed, high quality, efficient and approachable bar/lounge in contemporary setting within modern Artspace which itself is part of Hudson Yards. Which itself is a groundbreaking contemporary multi-use development which raised the bar for similar new developments going online. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Hudson Yards and surrounding area who wants an elevated experience.

Nice happy hour menu, salad was great as was the turkey sandwich, the guongdaou chicken was okay, as was the hummus. Very nice service and exceptional atmosphere.

Nice bar located in the lobby of the Shed. Good place to rest after being to the museum. Comfortable chairs. A smal, but good selection of beers. Not overpriced, like some similar places are. They also offers something to eat. Cool, relaxed atmosphere, but I could do without the music.

Cocktails were AMAZING. SERVICE was outstanding Food was terrible. My flatbread was insanely thick like a deep dish pizza and it was hard as a rock. My friends grilled cheese was also crazy hard.

This is a great place to work from home, grab a quick coffee or drink with a friend. Or snuggle up with a good book and drink. Personally, in this area, there’s not many coffee shops in general - especially ones that aren’t saturated with tourist. This is a great place because it’s nice and quiet, the loudest it really gets is when there’s a show and people are waiting to get into the show. That usually doesn’t last very long and it’s not very loud. I’m able to take calls here, I’m able to switch from one area to another. There’s outlets, but…. The free wifi is AWFUL. I use my hotspot for the day, but that means I can’t come in as often. They have a cute little happy hour, where you can get very discounted bites. So you can definitely come here for small food because it is great. I totally think this could be a staple in the area if they opened up a little earlier. They open at 11 and I really so badly wish it was 10. I end up getting breakfast at kossars waiting for it. I also think this could be a very cute low-key bar in the area. Its so easy to walk by - by accident because its hardly advertised, it looks very private and not inviting. I wouldnt have come in had someone i know not tell me it wasnt private. Its cute, its quiet, do it.

Very pleasant. Only person there at noon on a Saturday - what a delightful place to read a book or have a chat with friends. Nice and well priced non alcoholic options.

The place is on style. Cool music. Prices for cocktails 16-22$, beers 8-10$, coffee and teas 5$.

Friends found a new cool place for drinks after work...though no HH specials. Drinks are quite strong which is good for price one is paying. Ambience and space is cool and fairly spacious. Located at The Shed...so grab a drink before the show. Golden Hour was pretty good - bourbon, honey and and lemon Smoke and mirrors looked pretty cool - pretty to look at. Salt and vinegar popcorn was ok... Menu has a variety to chose from if want a snack or something to eat before heading to a show. Service was good. Restrooms located past the bar, straight down and make a left...

Our experience here was fabulous! We stopped by after an in-house performance. The place was bustling with a company holiday party going on at one side so we we lucky to be able to grab a couple seats at the bar. Despite the crowd, we were able to place an order during Happy Hour with the friendly bartender (the same one named in another recent review). I had a Pinot Grigio and my husband had a hazy IPA (not on the Happy Hour menu but still reasonably priced). We also placed orders from the Happy Hour menu for an asian-inspired Sesame-Crusted Eggplant Sandwich and a Smoked Turkey Sandwich. Both came with potato chips. For $8 each, we felt they were a bargain! We had a great time and a decent meal with good service. We would definitely stop by here again.

Cedric's is a great place to hang before/after going into see art exhibitions. Located at The Shed by Hudson Yards (you can't miss it! you'll see a sign on the building), Cedric's offers drinks and food. There were comfy seats by the bar and couches to lounge on. Staff were friendly and attentive too. I only ordered drinks, but will try their food next time!

This is a bar located below the Shed on 30th St and has nice seating and areas that can be reserved for groups. They have great salt & vinegar popcorn and the other food is rather limited... you can tell they aren't a bar so much as a fancy hangout when a majority of the menu (7 or 8 pages of drinks, one of appetizers) accommodates vegetarians instead of having wings or sliders. Drinks ordered and put into an electronic device, which drinks came out was a random mix of whatever the bartenders wanted to do first (instead of in sequence of orders). The snacks tried included the carrot and chickpea hummus w/vegetables was ok (needed some pita), crab dip had bugles instead of something more firm, the veggie lettuce wraps and green sandwich were disappointing to go with drinks (felt more like a healthy snack for a different type of crowd), and the beef in a blanket cut into 6 pieces, but was delicious. The deviled eggs were ok, the olives were better (not too salty). Turkey sandwich had too much of the fancy mayo, and only a single thin slice of turkey in it. Too little. Guess people come here for wine and a few light appetizers but not much in the way of late-night drinking as we did after the conference meeting. People were debating ordering Ubereats to get something more sustainable.

Sumptuous space at the shed with very thoughtful bar bites! This is Union Square Hospitality after all #DannyMeyers. Down the block from Mercado with couches bars and tables. Have a cocktail or wine and chow. Ate: Favs bean hummus Drank Pino blend Total: $31 The crispy veg action and slightly spicy hummus with Anaheim chilies was a knockout! Amazing service natch! Nice wine to compliment! A tad pricey though tips are included, and i Loved it! PS 25% discount till this Friday

Shockingly poor service by the host/security. Walked in to meet a friend for a drink after work - told and escorted to leave "because there was a private event" within 10 seconds of walking in. There wasn't actually a private event and my friend at the bar had to get security to let me back in. This isn't how you treat people. Not coming back.

Cedric's is convenient if you work at HY. The service is slow, the bartenders seemed nice and friendly. The head bartender was "testing" new drinks and let us try a Paloma that he was working on. Later on, this "test drink" that we never ordered showed up on our bill. That left a bad taste in my mouth and i probably will never return. Super lame way to pad the bill.

Stopped in & grabbed the Turkey sandwich, with a Shrimp salad and the Pizza beer. Everything was good,no complaints. What I loved more than the ambiance, was the relaxing environment. Great place to unwind after a ruff week.

Came to Cedric's for an afterwork event. An interesting location, there really are no barriers or walls discerning where the restaurant begins and ends and takes open space to a new level. However, for an afterwork event, the appetizers were really good and the service was fast and courteous.

The worst wait staff I have ever seen. Waitress didn't know the menu and constantly served the wrong drinks. The security wouldn't open the doors and made a party of 30 walk around the building only to come to the same door. Worst bar and food was poor.

Ok place for a drink or two. Bit pricey as i It would be in Manhattan. Long wait times at the bar.It was " OKAY " Meh. Came here to kill time prior to going to Marquee.

Stopped by here to finally check it out and was definitely satisfied! Located at the Shed near Hudson Yards, its bit of a mystery on getting here and looking for signage. Once you get in you are in an open space with a bar and lounge area. I only had one cocktail which was made with reposado tequila and some Italian liquers. The cocktail was very delicious and balanced. I had the salt & vinegar popcorn, which was very addicting. Definitely want to go back and try more items from the menu.

This was SUCH a great place to have a birthday drinks and snacks get together! Plenty of space and comfortable but classy atmosphere. Delicious and inventive cocktails. GREAT service. We really enjoyed our time there and can't wait to hang out there next time we're in the neighborhood!

I enjoyed my visit to Cedric's after a trip to The Shed to see Richter Reich and Part. It was mellow and relaxing on a weekday mid-afternoon, just what I wanted. My big complaint is that I ordered a Caesar Salad that was riddled with roasted red pepper....nary a pepper was mentioned on the menu, so I thought that was really odd. Especially since I don't like them. I'd go back, but I guess quiz them on ingredients? That seems tedious.

Cedric's is a restaurant attached to "The Shed," which I thought was a hipster hotel lobby on steroids but turns out to be a fusion of art gallery and "creators' space" in Hudson Yards. Cedric's arrives with a lot of hype, but Meg R., Bianca S., and I weren't falling for that; we just needed to eat at like midnight, and this place was open. Stuff is pretty good, I have to say, and I'm someone who is really suspicious of celebrity chefs. We had two orders of the crab dip, the pigs in a blanket (a sausage wrapped in bread), and deviled eggs. Pigs were OK, but deviled eggs and crab dip were delicious, so much so that we had to double our order of the latter. Atmosphere is also really relaxed, and you can chill and talk into the late hours. Bartenders were very chatty, friendly, and jovial without being intrusive on our convo, which centered a lot on relationship issues and other human drama that is the stuff of millennial life.

I'm extremely satisfied with Cedric's. Reasonable rates for the area. I like everything I have ordered here. Everyone was very friendly. Certainly recommending that place to my friends!

Great space and wine and drinks menu as well as small plate food offerings. I wasn't very hungry so I thought a side salad aka seasonal salad would be fine. Great glass of Rose, salad not so much. Maybe it's me but a side salad is basic greens, tomatoes, radish, etc but what I got was a plate of lettuce. I ate my plate of greens and drank my Rose. When the waiter asked if I enjoyed it, I said it could have used a tomato or two. Granted, it wasn't costly but for 7 bucks, I could buy multiple heads of lettuce and garnishes for a side salad. Just indicate for a description - this is just lettuce!

Super awesome spot. It is located in the ground floor of The Shed. A really great open space with great decor - sort of a mid-century modern vibe, delicious drinks (squeaky wheel Negroni, for the win) and tasty bites. The staff is on-point and our group was seated and attended to right away. This is definitely a must if you are in the area of hudson yards or going to see some art (pre-game, post-game or both) ;)

Two of us arrived at Cedric's at 7:20 PM. We let our server know we had tickets to the 8 PM show upstairs at The Shed. We each ordered 1 cocktail (2 total), and we closed out immediately after ordering, (we finished ordering by 7:25 PM). We waited for our cocktails until 7:50 PM, until I reminded our server that we were going to have to go to be seated for our show. He told me they were short on glassware, and that was the hold up. (That's kind of absurd. Just choose a different glass, and explain it to us. That would have been better.) At 7:58 PM, we were handed 2 cocktails that came to $20 each (with good tips that we had prepaid) that we were expected to pound, I guess. No concessions were made for our waiting. We had to get to our show, so we had to abandon the drinks and didn't have time to fight about it. Overall, I really enjoyed The Shed, but I was very disappointed with my experience at this bar. The drinks were probably fine. They looked pretty, and we had sipped them, but a wait that long for drinks when it wasn't even crowded was really crazy. I'll probably see more shows at The Shed, but I will definitely never rely on Cedric's for a pre-show drink, and neither should you.

Exceptional service, sneaky good food and top notch cocktails. I went with the Peacock Buck cocktail. Why? Because I was feeling naughty, nice and wine with ice. THAT'S why. Any questions? Didn't think so. We paired that with the Turkey Sandwich (I guess it was a snoods and plumes kind of evening), the Curry Deviled (I told you I was feeling naughty) Eggs and the ("I smell like") Beeef In A Blanket. I'm definitely coming back for the turkey sandwich... just watch out if I'm in a Wild Red Snapper mood! ;)

We arrived well before a performance and had a lovely light meal. The food and service were excellent and reasonable. However closer to the performance when the lobby became crowded the staff were overwhelmed with too many people wanting service. But if you arrive at a quieter moment this is a nice place for a light meal. And the perfect place if you're going to a performance.
