I haven't been to this venue since it was Howl at the Moon (RIP), but I always loved this huge space. I went with some friends right then they opened around 4:00 pm on a Thursday.
It was empty (understandably for a weekday at 4pm) and the bartender was super attentive. I asked for a cocktail menu and she said they didn't have one. I would have easily ordered a higher-priced cocktail, but since I didn't want a basic well drink, I ordered a cheap beer. I would recommend creating a cocktail menu to entice people to order higher-priced drinks. We asked about ordering some food, but they said that the kitchen wouldn't be open until at least 5 pm.
They have a ton of pool tables which was super exciting because I love pool. We were directed to a small closet area where an employee as in charge of renting out games/tables. To my surprise, a pool table rental was $8 per person per hour so for the four of us, it was going to be $32 for on hour. To me, that is INSANE. We asked about a happy hour deal since it was dead inside, and they said no. I mean, maybe if the tables are busy on the weekends, it could make sense, but when the place is absolutely dead? That seems ridiculous. My sister really wanted to play, so I paid it, but I felt like I got ripped off wholly. To play a board game was $2 per person per hour.
My other friend was able to order wings and fries and, omg, they might have been the best french fries I have ever had. They were so crunchy and crisp and the dipping sauce was delicious.
Overall, the vibe is great, I wish they had a cocktail menu, the fries were out of this world, and the pool is WAY OVERPRICED. I would go back, but I would not play games or pool.
