Cenote is fine for a quick work lunch, but not much else - Review - San Francisco - The Infatuation
"Cenote’s food doesn’t blow you away, but that’s not the point. This FiDi counter service Mexican spot is built more for efficiency, cranking out burritos, salads, bowls, and tortas in minutes to keep the people escaping their nearby desks for lunch moving. With so many great burrito options in the city, you should skip Cenote’s and focus instead on the generously sized bowls and salads. They're just okay, but enough to keep you fueled through your afternoon Zoom call. If you have time to linger, the sun-drenched dining room—with its tiled walls, hanging plants, and shelves of decorative tequila bottles—could be a nice venue for your next one-on-one.

Yucatan Bowl
A sizable portion, but the cilantro lime rice is a bit bland, and the beans and vegetables don’t add a whole lot of flavor. Thankfully the heavy drizzle of salsa roja helps compensate. Add on protein for a few dollars more, including a solid vegan taco meat.

Avo-Cabo Salad
We appreciate how each leaf is heavily dressed in the poblano-lime dressing, but it’s also a bit dull. Add the chicken al pastor for a much better experience.
Burritos
There are two types of burritos, the main differences being the type of rice, beans, and sauce. Opt for “cenote style”—it has more flavor thanks to the chipotle crema." - Patrick Wong
