The Best Restaurants In Burien - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Queso doesn’t get much smoother than Centro’s. The thick, crunchy totopos on the side are also perfect for swiping through black bean dip or smoky cascabel salsa. We’ve never been steered wrong by a burrito or tacos here. And for the margarita enthusiasts, they sell a half-gallon of their margarita base to take home—it costs way less than a bucket of limes. Just add tequila." - nate watters, gabe guarente

Centro - Review - Burien - Seattle - The Infatuation

"Queso doesn’t get much smoother than what Centro serves. The thick, crunchy totopos on the side are also perfect for dragging through black bean dip or smoky cascabel salsa. We’ve never been steered wrong by a burrito or one of the many taco options here, and the vegan options are quite tasty, too. Best Restaurants in Burien, Washington - Eater Seattle

"This modern taco spot treats its veggie offerings with the same reverence as the classic asada or chicken tinga. Florets of roasted broccoli and cauliflower are topped with pickled onions and a smoky chipotle-cashew dressing that evokes the charred flavor of meat off a plancha (grill). The bottled homemade margaritas are strong and perfect to stay or go." - Alana Al-Hatlani

Nice little Mexican fusion restaurant in the heart of DT Burien. Smaller restaurant with outdoor seating available. The menu is smaller than most authentic Mexican restaurants that you’ve probably experienced, but that could be a good thing if the options are done right. I was taken back a bit by the price of a single street taco at $7–10. So I opted for their burrito. Decent sized burrito but found it to be mainly rice in a four tortilla. The chips and salsa flight was pretty good and the queso type dip was the best of the three salsas. But I’d still prefer going into a Mexican restaurant and get endless fresh chips and one really good salsa. My wife got the enchiladas and said they were tasty. On food alone, we thought it was tasty but not something that made us say we’d be back. The presentation was nice, the restaurant itself is clean and nice. Wife and I agreed that this would be a great first date place where you want Mexican, but don’t want to eat a large portion and have food coma. 2 enchiladas, burrito and chips and salsa was little bit over $50. Most likely would pick any of the other nearby Mexican options for food, but this place is a good option for a date.

A quaint and cultured set-up snuggled between small shops and eateries, this café offers great homemade chips & salsa (that has to be ordered as an appetizer), fresh tortillas used in their dishes and some pretty great tacos. I gave a four on the food only because I thought maybe chips and salsa would at least be free for the first batch. Or come with your meal or something cheesy like that. This might just be the practical person in me; though. Our order consisted of the following tacos: Grilled Lime-Cilantro, Rajas Con Queso, Fish and Carnitas (see picture for description of tacos). The sever was quite attentive and although seating was limited, she never pressured us to leave or rushed us at all. The drinks of course were delicious as well.

Google
We got two outstanding dishes: the Brussels sprouts and the barbacoa nachos (barbacoa is Mexican brisket). They were both soooo good. Both came in healthy portions. We had leftovers. The Brussels sprouts were super flavorful, fried with Cotija cheese and thick chewy bacon (we added). I little oily. The barbacoa nachos were simply delish. I loved getting the perfect bite with the barbacoa and guac on the thick chips. So good!

Google
The nachos here are really amazing. The vegan cheese cake is great and a good size for two. The restaurant overall has great Tex-mex food. This was our second visit. The flavors are a little more elevated with vegetables. The waiter was very nice. The location is super cute. There are lots of gluten free and vegan options. However, if you’re looking for authentic Mexican flavors or a romantic setting, this wont be the right fit. It’s very kid friendly and very popular!

Google
Centro Neighborhood Kitchen seriously hit the spot. The fish tacos were super fresh, and the barbacoa and carnitas were packed with flavor. Fried brussel sprouts? Insanely good—crispy and addictive. The cauliflower nachos were a fun twist and totally loaded, and las papas were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside—perfect. Everything felt thoughtful but still super chill. Definitely coming back.

Google
We had a great experience at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and the menu had a fantastic variety of options. The service was friendly and attentive, making the overall experience very enjoyable. Although the chicken was slightly burnt, it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed our meal. We’re already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes! Highly recommend.

Google
Centro was delicious! We visited on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and had a great late lunch. The variety of salsas and queso was awesome to see, and the chips themselves were tasty too. Our quesadilla was large and stuffed with protein. Service was also fast and congenial throughout. Absolutely would come back.

Google
We really enjoyed the food here and were very happy with how family friendly it was. We’ll definitely be coming back! Everything we tried was delicious, and the nachos were particularly great. The thick house made chips ensured they held up really well and didn’t get soggy, and had some very tasty toppings. The cocktails and margaritas we tried were great too- although could have used more mixing before being delivered to our table. My only annoyance was that all the food arrived around the same time, despite saying we’d like to start with X and Y. Relatively minor in an overall great dining experience.

Yelp
I LOVE EVERYTHING HERE!!! Fast friendly service, cute dining area with an enclosed patio. The food was the best most authentic and fresh Mexican food that I've had in a very long time. I appreciate the vegan options that don't disappoint. We ate so fast I didn't get any pics. I will be back

Yelp
My husband and I went to Centro for dinner -- this is a place we visit often. We ordered the Tres Chiles drink, the Centro Bowl with Angus beef and jalapeño crema, and the Tlayuda. The Centro Bowl is consistently satisfying and never disappoints. Great flavors and a solid, reliable choice every time. The Tlayuda, however, was a bit underwhelming. It was difficult to eat and the portion felt small, leaving us wanting more. Overall, we still enjoy Centro for its atmosphere and dependable dishes, good service. We'll definitely be back, and the Centro Bowl will remain our go-to order.

Yelp
We loved this little Mexican restaurant in the downtown strip. We were visiting some friends and the recommended Centro. Good choice. This is elevated, or chef'y Mexican food, very high quality. Chips and salsas were fresh, with unique flavors. Individual tacos are a good choice and couple can make a good lunch. My burrito was huge, with tender juicy carnitas. Service was fast and attentive. Recommend.

Yelp
A small restaurant with delicious food. My friend and I opted for tacos. I had the line chicken and queso, poblano peppers and mushroom tacos. While my bestie had carne asada and carnitas taco. Each taco had a different kind of tortilla. So I got to try a flour and corn tortilla. Both house made and delicious. I prefer the corn tortilla. We started with the salsa trio and chips. All home made and super tasty. I could have eaten so many more. Pacifico on tap was the perfect thirst quencher for this meal. Next time I'll be sure to try one of their speciality margaritas. The service was friendly and good vibes. Highly recommend this place! SYOY!

Yelp
Everything was perfect! I sat outside waiting for a friend and met the locals! The outdoor seating is perfect on a day like today (sun out, phones down). I have been here a few times, so it seemed fitting to finally write in! Lots of changes since my first experience which was new and not tasty. Today, I had the most amazing experience ever! What did I order.... the cauliflower nachos and I was impressed and also excited!!! What a tasty delight, great combo and the cheese was sooo tasty! I KNOW what you're thinking (but, I like meat), great you can add it!!! But for real, message me after you have them, and tell me you don't like them. They're just powerful in flavor, they blend well, not too hot (remove the jalapeños if you're anything like me - can't stand a lot of spice). However, I did eat a few and they good. Excited to hear your experience, enjoy!!!

Yelp
MEXICAN FUSION, and one of my go-to spots in Burian. It is a small place on the main drag. The food is always great, and the service is excellent. They have beer, wine, and margaritas! Get the flight! Mmmmm. Cheers!

Yelp
Outstanding flavors, friendly service and excellent beverages await you at Centro! Don't miss the elotes and that famous chicken appetizer everyone is snapping photos of: it's as good as it looks! The vibe is upbeat and neighborhood, and it can get busy here. Be prepared for a wait at peak times. The taco variations are delicious and interesting, though the tinga was a little dry. The res and carnitas were delectable. And giant frosty glasses of beer for the win! We'll certainly be back for more! Recommended!

Yelp
Centro Neighborhood Kitchen! Let talk! We came up to burien because we were gonna go to a haunted house. We had people in our group who didn't eat meat so we wanted to find a place that had vegan menu mixed with other food. This place was it. We started off the with cauliflower nachos, the Doritos (enchiladas/chimichangas), street corn and the salsa platter. Everything was delicious. We could have stopped there but decided to order more food. I got a side of Brussels sprouts which were the star of the show and wings which were amazing. My partner ordered the enchiladas which were okay. Another friend ordered the quesadilla which again okay. The fav of the quesadilla was birra quesadilla with the sauce. That was good. We also got a prickly pear margarita and an orange margarita. If I were to come again I would stick to the nachos, Doritos, Brussels and street corn and the birra quesadilla. Very good spot.

Yelp
Small neighborhood restaurant with authentic Mexican food. Interior is airy, and nicely decorated. All of the dishes were beautifully presented. The poblano sauce was really tasty and enchiladas were well filled. Could have used a bit more sauce as the filling got a bit dry towards the end. The tacos were all delicious. I ordered three with was more than sufficient. The corn tortillas are homemade and instantly connected me to my favorite spots in LA. Terrific flavor and texture. Raja con queso: solid vegetable filling with great textures and spicing. Fish: not very much fish, but the cabbage and pickled onions are brightly flavored and delicious. Barbacoa: always have to try when I find on the menu. This did not disappoint. Juicy meat, and lots of it. The tortilla was crunchy and the accompanying avocado sauce was perfectly tangy. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area. I want to try some of the cocktails and bring some tortillas home.

Yelp
This was a good "Mexican " style food. Not authentic but yummy yum. My bowl with the lime cilantro chicken was good but the bowl is too small it makes it hard to mix the ingredients. I would find a little bigger bowl. The nachos were a big item and a good meal. Check out my photos for the meal we got.

Yelp
Tried brunch for the first time this weekend and it did not disappoint! The avocado slice was delish served on a sweet potato slice. The service was friendly, quick and nice! Great little spot!

Yelp
Great place to grab food, especially after hiking around Seahurst. Lots of vegan and vegetarian options as well. My friend and I came during happy hour and ordered the doraditos (chicken tinga for me and potato and black bean for her) and crispy Brussels sprouts. I also tried the pickle picoso margarita, which was the perfect amount of brine flavor for me!

Yelp
What a find! This restaurant serves authentic Mexican food in a charming, cozy little place. The service is very quick and we were in and out in one hour. To start with. We got a tamarind cocktail and a blonde ale. The cocktail was spot on and my partner enjoyed his beer. We got the salsa flight that came with three types of salsas and some freshly fried chips. The cascabel was my favorite. The Doradito with potatoes and black beans was one of a kind! The rajas con queso taco was fantastic. I especially loved the authenticity of the dishes - just enough cheese! We also got the habanero enchiladas that were packed with flavors, an absolute delight for my tastebuds! We also had to try the veggie Tlayuda that was reminiscent of the ones we had in Tulum. Overall, service was quick and the food was mind blowing. A little bit of a drive to Burien, but it was worth it! We will b back.

Yelp
The food is grubbin, and the service is ok. It's a small place and they don't take reservations. That matters if you have large group but it's worth the wait. Centro is high on our rotation.

Yelp
Came here on nice warm fall night with friends and was able to sit outside. The food, drink and service were all on point. I think to start I had a Blueberry Margarita that was properly sweet and stiff. We shared the loaded Totopos nachos. They were hot, covered with salsa and cheese. It was great, very shareable between 3 people and was a great starter. Also had some of the Brussel sprouts which includes garlic aioli, goat cheese, red pepper flakes, citrus flavor. I believe I had the Birria Tacos, a favorite of mine lately. They were hot and hearty and full of flavor. The staff was pleasant and offered recommendations which of course is always appreciated. Having never been to Downtown Burien, with plenty of choices it was nice we settled on this. I'd recommend and consider returning here to get a repeat of the more eats and drinks here.

Yelp
I had a very good burrito there. There are some interesting creativity going on with their menu. That's very well done

Yelp
Ordered a strawberry margarita and it didnt taste like it had any alcohol in it. I brought this up to a server that it tasted like a regular strawberry lemonade and she responded that she was certain it was a margarita. She said she didnt make it but saw it being made. There was no offer to remake a drink i cleary wasnt satisfied with. I dont think ive ever been to an establishment where the business didnt try to make it right. Not sure i should have explicitly stated i wasnt satisifed but me getting up to find a server should have sufficed.

Yelp
My wife and I received a gift card from a friend that has been known to get us gift cards to good restaurants. Centro kept this tradition going. It has an intimate dinning area inside and out. We arrived around 5 pm fortunately before the rush. We started off with the salsa taster and chips. Then had an assortment of tacos for our main course. I had a beer and my wife had a cocktail which was really good. Service and everything was top notch. Will be back.

Yelp
3.5 stars. Rounding up to the PNW taqueria curve. We are serious burrito snobs. We came to Centro for that experience. We ordered a carnitas and an al pastor (or the like). Plus chips & salsa (at an extra charge). And one soda ($54 in total, plus tip!!). We dined-in. Burritos were served very quickly, just after the chips arrived. Impressions: were not wrapped in foil. They were surprisingly small, and I'm no burrito size king. Wrapped without much tortilla tension - but not too flaccid. Contents lukewarm. Mouthfeel and flavors were pretty nice. Very "fresh" tasting. Quite subdued: flavors. Mildly spiced. No lingering greasiness, like is found at many of the SW Seattle taquerias / roach coaches. A pretty OK basic burrito. If it were not nearly $60 for a causal lunch in Burien, we'd probably visit again. Mostly notably positive was their creamy habanero salsa. It was almost a cross between a queso and a salsa. Heat hit perfectly. Nice work. Service was snappy and friendly.

Yelp
Ordered Centro Bowl. Salad sitting in a pool of water was unpleasant and gross to eat honestly. Do not order this. Expect a long wait and plenty of Toddlers during busy dinner hours.

Yelp
I really really wanted to love it. I felt like maybe it was an off night. We came on the day after Valentines day for a weekday dinner. The restaurant was crowded, but we didn't have to wait. We were seated and given menus, and our server came promptly to see what we wanted to order. We hadn't really looked at the menu, but I tried to engage on margarita options, but really got no recommendations. Our server wasn't friendly either. I don't think we ordered well either. We decided to share and each ordered a taco, and for some reason thought it was a good idea to get the charred steak & broccoli appetizer (not a typical mexican appetizer, yeah, I know). My husbands fish taco was flavorful, that was the hit of the night. The tinga taco wasn't really flavorful. It was just meh. The charred steak & broccoli was over-the-top salty. It was alot, and I really like salty food. We didn't finish it. Cute restaurant, I think it has a good neighborhood appeal. Maybe the staff was exhausted from the Valentines day crowd? Just a hunch. It wasn't our best experience.

Yelp
The food was amazing. The ceviche was on point. The enchiladas with habanero sauce very tasty.

Yelp
I was having a child-free solo moms day out and Centro had been on my list to try. I walked into this quaint location and knew it was good based on how many people were inside. I usually feel slightly weird taking up a whole table for myself, so I was happy to see a long bar top by the front window with individual stools. I was promptly greeted with water, placed my order, and received my food timely. The spicy jalapeño margarita was yummy, and my seat delivered great people watching oops. But my favorite part was listening to the server. She spoke with each table and struck the perfect balance between being a sincere conversationalist and not overstepping and leaving them to eat. Her joy was infectious and you could tell she was very experienced. Pro tip: if you order any tacos, get a side of consomme to dip them in. You won't regret it!
google avatar

Yelp
The food is always delicious. I had the poblano enchiladas with sweet potato and cauliflower. Wow absolutely amazing! My husband had the Centro Bowl with Barbacoa; never disappoints, always incredibly flavorful, & such generous portions! The service is friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere is perfect, especially outside on the patio, for a sunny day.

Yelp
As usual, my expectations were high, but I came in here feeling like I may not be as impressed as previous reviewers. People made it sound like this was life-changing food and that just wasn't my experience. My intent was to come for happy hour, but those hours are just too retrictive for me based on traffic. I was most shocked walking in to see a place and space much smaller than expected. The website is very well down, so well that I thought I would be walking into a large upscale eatery. There were two women working Our server was friendly and kind, however, she wasn't real attentive, we had to flag her down to have out water refilled more than once, Considering the glasses were only about 6-8 ounce, it only takes two sips to empty your glass. I had the salsa flight and a single taco. With 3 salsa, I has hoped one would be hot, but none of them were spicy in my opinion. The one that was habanero tasted more like queso than it did salsa. That was the first time I've ever tasted a mild Habanero anything. Each salsa was ok, but they all needed salt in my opinion, but there was no salt to be found. The taco was large and for almost $7, it was probably twice the size of any $4 taco from a truck. I meant to order mine with a flour tortilla, but it slipped my mind. Like the salsa, the taco was ok, but again, I think the meat would have benefited from some salt. As I report often, more and more people appear to be allergic to seasoning, so restaurants cut back on salt, because almost no one uses it at home anymore. I think these are honest hard-working people. With a little more flavor, I probably would have been won over, but I've had the same order at El Cabrito around the corner and love the tacos there far better. They only have a single salsa there, but again, that place just has more flavor in their food. Truth be told, this was a 2-star experience overall, but I am going to give them a bonus star for being so kind.

Yelp
Came to Burien to meet up with a friend and there was also a special lights festival going on at the same time. Fortunately the weather was just perfect and we were glad to sit outside and take in the festivities while eating. We were recommended this spot by friends and it did not disappoint! We all started with one of their special cocktails, I had the paloma. I'm not a big fan of margaritas with the salt rim, but the paloma is sweet and refreshing. For food we decided to share the nachos, which are huge! These were amazing. I loved all the avocado and red onions on top. Also, the brussels sprouts are not to be missed if you are a fan. I loved the creamy sauce they covered them in, which were roasted to perfection. After this we weren't all that hungry, but they have individual taco options, so I opted for the carnitas. This was also very tasty and had plenty of meat for 1 serving. Overall the staff were very quick here and the drinks were strong!

Charlene E.

Yelp
The crusted fish tacos were sweet! Who serves sweet fish tacos. Add insult to injury, they charged me a $1 for hot sauce. I've eaten here before and the food was pretty good, the tacos were a major disappointment.

Yelp
Nice upscale tapas restaurant with delicious cocktails, crispy homemade chips, fresh guacamole, and a creative menu. Don't skip the guac with the homemade chips, great app and glad we started out with them before the main entree! Wish the side of guac was a bigger. The veggie Calabaza Quesadilla was very flavorful with black beans, sauteed onions, mushroom, zucchini, and Oxacan cheese topped with crunchy pepita seeds and spaghetti squash with sour cream. I'm not a big fan of ordering a quesadilla (I make a killer quesadillas at home!), but the quesadilla delivered on all levels! Wish there was a side of guac to go along with it! The Lime-Cilantro rice is very flavorful and had some of hubby's. Will def order a side of it next time! The creative and whimsical margaritas were fun to try! The Hibiscus Margarita was my pick over the Rosemary Rhubarb Margarita. I really enjoyed the flavor of the hibiscus. The restaurant is a bit tight and compact, sadly no room for strollers with mostly small tables. There's outdoor seating. The restaurant usually opens its front door, so be prepared to bring a sweatshirt! One of the few restaurants open on Mondays and will come back when we're in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
The food here has never disappointed! It's amazing! I love all the vegan options and even my non vegan friends and family members also enjoy the vegan nachos, so good! Staff is wonderful I always see the same people, it's a great neighborhood spot. But if you aren't in Burien it's worth the drive to try it.

Yelp

Yelp
These tacos are good-sized, but too polite! *** - very serviceable! (I'm only reviewing the food. Service was personable, very quick, and accurate!) They do a great job with textures, but for the most part it felt like we were eating competently-made healthy tacos; the flavors are fairly simple and light, with not a lot of seasoning or marinade, and we wished there was more sauce on everything. The house-made corn tortillas are great, too! ... Got 4 tacos: Cruciferous, sweet potato/black bean, papa, rajas con queso Firstly the Rajas con queso! S-tier, far and away the best of the four. Packed with flavor, spiced and saucy. Wished we'd got 4 of these dudes! Papas - Great texture contrast with the fried shell and soft potats, slaw was crisp, but it just tasted "fresh", and the whole thing needed some salt. The cruciferous and black bean/sweet potato tasted fairly similar, and we wished they had more of the sauce. When I ate the hibiscus onion by itself I could taste some pickle, but it kinda got lost in the shuffle when eaten with everything else. And again, a light hand with the salt and seasoning. ... We weren't at all mad at what we got, but we probably wouldn't go back based on what we had. They have some great ideas, here! Just wish they'd develop their flavors, more. The rajas con queso is where we'd love them all to get to, but with their own profiles. Stronger pickle, more aggressive char, marinade for the veggies (especially the beets!), etc.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was ok. The quesabirria was good as was the blood orange margarita. My poblano enchiladas tasted good and had lots of meat, but they came alone. For the price a bit of beans and rice would of been better. The steak bites were good but the broccoli was not. It had a strong sour taste.

Yelp
I loved this spot! It's such a gem. From the friendly waitress/service to the delicious food, I would love to come back. I arrived during happy hour (2-4p) and got a Sauvignon Blanc with the Cauliflower Nachos. The nachos were delicious & I appreciate all of the plant-based/veg options on their menu. The nachos were delicious with what appears to be housemade, quality ingredients & a very generous portion size. The vibe of this spot is laidback & friendly. Highly recommend visiting!

Yelp
Food was good and flavourful. The only star I would take away is for using the wrong size dishes that makes it difficult to enjoy the food. We would definitely go again

Yelp
152nd St in Burin is awash with good restaurants and Centro has joined the club of the ones we have tried. We arrived a bit after 5PM on a rainy Sunday. The place was packed and we sat on some uncomfortable stools at the window bar until a table freed up after a short wait. While we were waiting, Joey brought us some water and took our order for margaritas. When Our table was ready, are margaritas were sitting on it. The food was interesting and unique and we enjoyed it very much. I did not take a picture of the decedent churros we had for desert but they were wonderful. Service was attentive. The only reason I did not rate this restaurant 5 stars was because it is very small and crowded and the chairs are unpadded hardwood. The food will bring us back to plow through all the other items on the menu.

Yelp
A small homey place, Centro is the type of restaurant that you want to return to countless times. It is always buzzing with excitement and hopefulness for the food, which is superb. Firstly, they put a little spin on each of the classics from Mexican restaurants, all of them with so much depth of flavor. The chips and assorted dipping things are perfect and exactly what the classic appetizer should be. The queso is also exceptional. The best I have had. However, where Centro really shines is in its tacos. The shredded pork taco is juicy and packed with flavor. You can tell it had love put into it. It is my personal favorite. Then, there is the fish taco. A perfect harmony of fresh and traditional flavors that create one of my favorite ever tacos. Lastly, the Barbacoa taco. The taco is smoky with all of the best ingredients put together perfectly. The service is also superb. The wait staff are all so kind and helpful and want to help. Overall one of my favorite neighborhood eats and is a must try in burien.

Yelp
Such a cute little place. The interior is well decorated and welcoming. It was a little busy at about 430 on a Wednesday and they only had one person in the front of the house so understandably we had to wait a little bit for service. We ordered a fish taco, chicken taco and the cauliflower nachos. Hands down the fish taco was the best thing I tasted. So delicious!!! We also had churros for dessert and the dulce de leche mousse was different but oh so incredible! Overall a very great experience. Little gem in burien.

Yelp
In the mood for something new, I sought out Centro Neighborhood Kitchen. Located on a stretch of S. 152nd in Burien that has become something of a restaurant row, this little place came highly recommended. "Little" is an appropriate word. Inside seating is limited to six four-top tables and six stools at the window bar. In addition, there are a few stand-up tables outside (with space heaters). Centro's website says it is offering a "new take on Mexican cuisine." It boasts of "freshly made tacos and a craft margarita ... honoring tradition while cultivating innovation!" Arriving before the end of the 2-5 p.m. happy hour, I started with a scratch margarita, made with tequila (of course!), house citrus, and simple syrup. Served in a tumbler with a salted rim, it was definitely fresh but the "new take" caught me by surprise. When I asked the staff about the "house citrus," they revealed that it is more than just the traditional lime juice. They admitted it also had some lemon juice, and I thought I tasted some orange as well, which would not have been surprising as they do not use Triple Sec or any other orange liqueur. While the staff member called it "more of a Whole Foods take" on a margarita, I would have preferred something more traditional. For my solid food, I started with a Salsa Flight of habanero cream (looked like chili con queso), red cascabel and salsa verde. Served with fresh, thick tortilla chips, it was a great way to start. On, then, to the Doraditos - crispy flour tortilla rolled with melted cheese and a filling. I chose chicken tinga for the filling, but potato and black bean was also available. Something akin to a chimichanga, the stuffed and rolled tortilla is cut into three pieces, deep-fried, and the pieces topped with jalapeno-lime crema and pico de gallo. Absolutely delicious! Even though it's a small place, there were enough patrons to keep the two servers hopping, though they never hesitated to stop and talk when I had a question or needed more information. If you're up for that "new take" and not wedded to traditional Mexican fare, absolutely give Centro a try!

Yelp
Cozy & homey lil cafe. Feels humbly decorated yet charming in its own way. Warm days they open up front patio. You can tell it's awesome food that's made fresh and exudes home-grown quality. Great variety of vegan options. I've tried a variety of the starters, tacos and sides. Whether you want simple or fancy, you can do what you feel. I've had days of just the rice & tacos, for example. I need to try the vegan nachos and soup some time as well as their NA beverages. And the staff is kind & chill.

Yelp
I would give this restaurant a five starts if it weren't for the last visit customer service. Good food always no fail we're here three times a month minimum. We love the tacos and order two appetizers each time with the brussel sprouts being a must have super deeeelish top dish During our last visit on Saturday, my husband spit a tiny rock in his food and when shown to our server she couldn't CARE less. I think she just said oh if I heard right. Typically their service is better and this one server is prolly untrained or un something. We will continue to go there for the delicious food but hey some customer care and appreciation would be great.

Yelp
This was a nice find. We went for happy hour and the food was fantastic. I did not care for the flavor of the Tonga chicken but my wife liked it. The habanero Mac with Barbados was fantastic along with the salsa flight and chips. The tres chiles margarita was very good. Service was excellent and generous portions. Definitely going back

Yelp
Meh. I heard a lot about this place, finally got a chance to try. Fish in taco was hard and dry and flavorless. Rice and beans feel like an afterthought--no seasoning at all. Margarita was tepid (no ice?) tasted watered down--also lacked flavor. The Brussel sprouts were the best part of the meal--charred and spicy, cooled with goat cheese which was a nice twist. Service was sloppy and haphazard, perhaps because they were receiving deliveries the entire time we were there (odd--6:30 pm, during dinner service?) and hand trucks with big boxes were going in and out through the front door. I ran out of water twice and had to flag someone down for more both times--other tables were given a bottle for refills. Not sure what all the hype is about, hoping this was an off night?

Yelp
An incredible experience with great food and service. My wife had been here previously and was excited for me to visit the restaurant as well. I can now see why she was intent on us coming back. Just a great meal. We started with a scratch margarita which was perfect. Then we had an appetizer of the Dip Flight. Wow. I was shocked how many tomatoes were in the guacamole. The creamy queso and the the seasoned refried beans were full of flavor. Then to finish off the tasty fun, we had the tacos. Best I have ever had. So full of add-ons. My wife also had the black beans and the lime-cilantro rice. The rice was so light and flavorful. The service was timely and genuinely friendly. The patio setting was perfect as well.

Yelp
I am obsessed with the Cauliflower Nachos at Centro. At first, I was skeptical when my friend brought me here and suggested we order this dish. But when it came out, I was blown away and was impressed with the flavors. Who came up with the idea of adding cauliflower on top of nachos?! They should get a raise. I've been here for Happy Hour too, which is superb. So if you're itching to try multiple items off the menu, it's a great time to do it. I've tried the chicken tacos, which were pretty huge and filling for me. Centro is a small and cute restaurant off SW 152nd St. and it would be the place I'd bring friends if they haven't been to Burien before. If I find the other photos I've taken of other dishes, I'll update and include those in this post. I would 100% recommend this place!

Yelp
CNK is a very cute, bistro-like Mexican spot on the main drag in Burien. The food here adds a modern twist to traditional dishes you find at a traditional Mexican restaurant. One of the reasons this isn't 5* is because the service is usually really slow. I don't know if they are consistently short staffed but every time I have been here, the dining experience is over an hour even if you only have one drink and one appetizer. Having a full meal usually takes about 2 hours and they are pretty much always busy when they are open. Definitely a place I eat but only when I know I have the time to hang for a while!

Yelp
Was walking through Burien and saw this place with outdoor seating so I gave it a try. They're really good! It was hh, I got tres chiles and rosemary and rhubarb for drinks. Good flavors and not too sweet. Got the brussels, black bean dip, and beef taco and they all tasted fresh and well seasoned. I will def be back for another hh! The service was friendly too.
