Deceptively large patio in the rear. Greeted by a very friendly employee who invited us to look around before we decided to stay or leave. Great chips, salsa and guacamole.

I'm just leaving this place, and I have to share my experience with all of you! Cescas Margarita Bar and Grill is truly a place of authentic Mexican cuisine, offering a culinary experience that transported me straight to the heart of Mexico City. My visit here was an awesome journey through flavors, ambiance, and hospitality. The Enchiladas de Mole were the highlight of my dining experience, a dish that perfectly encapsulated the chef's deep roots in Mexico City's rich culinary traditions. The mole sauce, with its intricate blend of spices and chocolate, was both rich and elegantly balanced, providing a luxurious coating to the tender chicken-stuffed enchiladas. What elevated this dish further was the generous topping of Queso Fresco, adding a fresh and creamy texture that beautifully contrasted with the complexity of the mole, creating a harmonious interplay of flavors. Accompanying this exquisite dish was the Margarita Clasica, a masterpiece of mixology that showcased the rare and high-quality Tequila Hacienda, a reposado Cristalino, not commonly found in Chicago. This premium tequila, combined with lime juice, agave nectar, and an innovative touch of edible charcoal, resulted in a drink that was both smooth and deeply flavorful. The addition of black salt on the rim added a visually striking and flavorful twist, making each sip a memorable experience for me. The ambiance, along with the attentive and warm service, created an inviting atmosphere that mirrored the vibrant spirit of Mexico City. Atmosphere is fantastic. Service is amazing all very welcoming and nice. The food is 10/10 our group had different plates and everyone raved about the food. They have amazing vegan and gluten free options. The drinks are also fantastic. Can’t wait to go again.

Overall I wasn’t really impressed with the food or the drinks here. I heard great things, but the drinks were really sweet and the tacos were small and didn’t have a whole lot of flavor. The shrimp taco was the best of the bunch. Their patio seating is really nice & our server was great!

The back patio is obviously a big pull, but all of the food we have tried has been excellent. We had an issue to two during one of our many visits and they quickly and graciously solved the problem. We will continue to go regularly!

this place is really fun and comfortable. you can come solo and sit at the bar, too. the bartender was really sweet. their house margs are a great deal! and they use real fruit juice in them, not some sugary mix. i got the mole enchiladas and they were delightful. really good house made chips, too! will def come back.

Hostess did not understand me when i said we were with a group, had to get interpreter. Fish on my tacos was pulverized, not good. Had to ask for silverware. Service was slow. Would not do separate checks. Drink prices were ridiculous. $90 for two people and I left hungry. Everything was sub-par. Not inclined to ever go back.

The food and service was amazing! The staff is very kind! The outdoor patio had the best vibes and I will definitely be returning! Such a welcoming environment as well.

I enjoyed my time here. Came to visit on a host Saturday evening without reservations and we were seated immediately (on the patio, too!). Our servers promptly checked in and offered water. The patio was surprisingly loud for an open-air space (noise from other groups felt amplified). After ordering, it took a while for the food to come out, but the order was correct and delicious. I felt that the portion size for nachos was a bit small, but still tasted great. Mole is SO GOOD here :)

First time here, and it was pretty quiet for 5pm on a Saturday. We ordered 2 sodas, an appetizer, and two entrees. It had good taste, but it was not anything memorable. I would give it 4 stars if the price point was a bit lower. The portion sizes for the entrees were sufficient, but the chips and salsa appetizer was small.

I'm beyond grateful for having stumbled upon this gem! This inside is absolutely gorgeous!!!! Music is at a perfect volume and the service that was provided was perfect!!! The food!!!! THE FOOD!!! D E L I C I O U S!!!!! Every single bite was just so mouth watering and full of flavor!!! Shrimp was NOT over or under cooked! It was literally perfect. We order total of 3 tacos and ended up getting 4 more because of how delicious they were. The tequila flight was a bit much for me, only because of the Smokey flavors it was giving but my honey loved it!! But the jalapeño drink was the bomb!! The bartender was very good with her mixes. Only issue I had was the ridiculous parking! Ugh... it's Chicago parking for you though! I had to pay $7.50 for three hours then had to go and pay again and again because we ended up staying on that street and the max was 3hours but there was literally no parking anywhere went over and bomb! got a darn ticket for $60 ( crying inside). But other than this, the restaurant in whole is just amazing and beautiful place and full of mouth watering flavors.

I'm a Californian. My love for spicy margaritas and fresh salsa is endless. I crave the closest thing to the border. The spicy margarita included fresh jalapeño and lime juice. The salsa and mole are solid. The suggestion is more cilantro in the pico de gallo! Our waiter was the owner of the restaurant. The owner is from Mexico City, Mexico. Each dish is authentic and made with fresh ingredients. The owner provided the list of ingredients in the mole and how the mole is prepared. Fabulous! The ambiance is good. They offer Indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is quiet and clean. The indoor seating is cool with beautiful Spanish artwork on the walls. I didn't snap photos because my phone was dead Highly recommend!

Its fine, and the patio is nice, but $28 for an extra large frozen margarita is crazy for a super casual joint.

This was my first visit and I haven't had the best luck with finding good, authentic Mexican food and great margaritas. Though it's a small restaurant the atmosphere is calm with beautiful Hispanic art showing culture and nice music to listen to in the background. Though a Cadillac Margarita was not on the menu it was requested and the server knew how to prepare it. There was an array of tacos to select and I was able to select corn or flour tortillas. I tried the Shrimp taco, Chicken tinga no queso, Costillas en salsa verde. My favorite was the costillas en salsa verde the meat was tender and the salsa was perfect. The avocado on my shrimp taco was the freshest veggie I've had in months. The prices were pretty good for a Chicago spot so I will be back tomorrow!

My friend and I really enjoyed the outdoor patio and the food selection. However, the margaritas are not the best. We ordered classic lime margaritas and they tasted very artificial like sweet and sour mix or cheap margarita mix. Very good food but we wanted to switch to beer because of that. I definitely recommend eating there on a sunny day with a nice cold beer.

This place really went downhill 22$ for a well tequila margarita , I know times are not that hard your ripping customers off like this, probably the last time I'll ever be here and food sorta fell off as well.

Our night began trying to go to Fernando's. Closed. On our way to Mas Alla I double checked. Closed. Cescas has been on our yet list (as an haven't tried it yet. "Bucket list" is such a depressing term. I prefer to be hopeful ). Don't forget to ask for a spoon to scoop out strawberry pieces from their delicious margaritas in the rocks. With more than two people of the mini burritos would be a lovely appetizer. My husband and I need a food show to highlight places like Cescas. To "Neil Diamond, so good, so good, so good!

Came for a patio on a gorgeous day and walked right past because the patio is hidden in the back! The Dulce Escoropion margarita with mango and chamoy was my favorite but there really isn't a bad one in the bunch. The spinach and cheese empanada was delicious and smothered in a sauce. I also really enjoyed how tender the grilled fish was on the taco I had. We definitely stayed longer than anticipated and the servers changed hands leaving us forgotten for a bit which sucked. I would definitely go back to enjoy dining al fresco though!

I cannot say enough good things about this place! I get the same thing every time I go because I just can't help it. The fresh made tamarind margarita is outstanding! I have tried a lot of their tacos, but my absolute favorites are the rajas con queso, the chorizo, and especially the pollo con mole. The best mole I've ever had! The depth of flavor is amazing. In addition to the tacos, I highly recommend the steak enchiladas with the mole. The ambience is great with the Spanish music playing. The patio is amazing but even sitting inside when it's cold out, is still a nice vibe. The staff are always friendly and easy-going and drinks and food get delivered pretty quickly. I love this place in my neighborhood and visit as often as I can!

Went there today according to their opening hours at noon. Saw cooks in there, but nobody came to the door. I called the restaurant as I was standing outside and he came to the door. He told me they opened at 1:00p instead of noon. Why do you have the hours posted opening at noon? The sign outside also says noon. If hours have changed you need to post the correct hours on your website as well as the sign outside. Very disappointed.

I was driving down Clark and was looking to enjoy drinks and food at a place with an outdoor patio. Happened to stumble upon this place and was not disappointed. The patio is very spacious and nice good Latin music. I had the guava jumbo margarita and it was tasty and refreshing. They had $3 tacos on Tuesday which it was Tuesday the prices were reasonable and affordable. I ordered a shrimp, steak, and chicken tinga taco. They were all very delicious and flavored perfectly. The tacos are smaller then your usual taco but still very filling, my favorite was shrimp and chicken tinga tacos. I highly recommend this place!!

Excellent food, drinks and service, even for a large party that didnt have a reservation. My steak finger burritos were delicious. I was told that the mole was very good. There were a list of margaritas to choose from.

The chicken mole enchiladas were amazing! Sweet hot sauce that was just wonderful, and a portion that you can't finish! The grilled carrots were crunchy and fresh and the rice and beans tasted like Tia Susana made them! Highly recommend! Cannot wait to go back!

I went out and dined for my birthday at Cesca's for apps and margaritas and the margs were to DIE for. Truly so so soooo good & strong I will not go anywhere else if I want margs. They use frozen fruit to blend and it makes the WORLD of a difference. I'm not a drinker and can't stand the taste of alcohol but they went down dangerously smooth. The nachos we got were absolutely delicious. I also ordered takeout from them as well and got margs to go and they were packaged so nicely and everyone who works there is so sweet. Thank you Cescas!

Cesca's is good if you go in with the mindset that you aren't going to get the most authentic Mexican food or anything super complex with flavor or spice. Its a bit pricey, but the portions are pretty huge and the bottomless chips and salsa are nice. The margaritas are actually pretty great -- especially blended ones. And the back patio is really beautiful and large/a fun vibe for a late Saturday or Sunday afternoon. I usually get the Shrimp Fajitas -- huge portion, but def needed to use extra salsa to get flavor. Overall it's a good staple in the area if Hopleaf or LBW are too crowded, but a little too expensive to be a regular spot.

I am giving this place 4 stars for service, food 3.5, so I am splitting the difference. Yelp we need half star ratings now. First the service. Started out shaky as there was no indication of a host/hostess. We were going to just seat ourselves when someone noticed that we had come in. Our waitress Juanita was amazing. Very friendly and she kept checking in on us. She was very cute and pleasant...that is why this review is getting 4 stars. Food was good. Dr M and I both got the Enchiladas Suizas (I got pork and he got chicken) and split an order of the quesadillas (Steak). On the recommendation of Juanita, we got them with the red sauce. Wise choice as Juanita stated that the green was very hot. Most places I go to, it is the opposite, so I am so glad she made the recommendation. Dish came with lots of melted Chihuahua cheese, sour cream and rice and beans. Very good dish. Dr M got a margarita and he said it was delicious, which is saying a lot because he normally doesn't order drinks like that. I ordered a beer (sticking with the bubble train) and Juanita brought out a cold glass for me. So why 3.5 stars you ask? Well I will tell you. I can't eat Mexican food without guacamole, so of course I ordered some. It came out in a little bowl and definitely did not look like $8 worth of guac, but what can I do as I need it with my food. For the serving size, they need to drop that price down to at least $5. Guacamole aside (not a deal breaker), I think I will be back here as I would love to try the Costillas en Salsa Verde (half a slab of slow cooked ribs smothered in tomatillo salsa, cilantro, rice and beans. Would also like to check out the patio when the weather is nicer.

Delicious Mexican food. Came here on a Sunday, mid-morning. The food and ambiance here is so great that I should have had to wait in line to get in. But there wasn't anyone in the front of house. I'm shocked because I had chilaquiles and they were bomb. I loved how the tortillas were chopped so that the dish was easy to eat. Service was also spectacular.

Two stars because we went during a street fest however everything else was HORRIBLE. one bar tender and maybe 2-3 servers. Everyone is short staffed so we tried to be understanding. We ordered 6 margaritas which we waited merry 40minutes. Being understanding we figured it was just very busy even though the front of the restaurant was empty. Once we approached 40 minutes I asked to cancel and be refunded however the bartender (who regularly left the bar to seat customers) assured me he was making them right now. We received styrofoam cups (figured because of the street fest) and the bar tender filled them with a margarita from a jug. You'd think a margarita joint would at least make them fresh in house! 6 margaritas went straight in the trash, they weren't drinkable. We canceled our table reservation and went to Fiya down the street where James took great care of us and we had a great time!

I'm giving this place 2 stars. This was a suitable neighborhood joint. The service has always been slow. The food has been mostly good. Margaritas great. This is why I am giving them 2 stars rather than 1. For our last visit I would give ZERO stars! We were seated quickly by the friendly host and immediately received chips and salsa (always delicious). The server came by a few minutes later and took our order... drinks and food (we made sure to be ready for food as well, knowing service can be slow). We waited for 30 minutes. No one came by the table or checked in or delivered any food or drinks. Finally my husband went to the bar to ask for our drinks. The bartender was standing around. No drinks to make. They asked what the order was and who our server was. The server never placed the order!!!! Answer given and my husband returned to the table. 5 minutes later the server came by to say "sorry... everyone came in at the same time and we are backed up. "That happens... so we get it. Then we look around and out of the 10 tables occupied, 3 are settling up, 3 are eating food, 1 is reviewing the menu and 2 are sitting waiting for food. So told a lie to try and cover. Another 10 minutes... nothing arrives. We have water... that's it. We called it. We left. We past the server on the way out and said, "sorry--we are just gonna go". He said "ok" dismissively and nonchalantly. Before someone says "short staffed" "COVID". Been coming here throughout and never experienced this level of poor service. Additionally there were 7-8 front of house staff. Crazy for 10-12 tables. Seems like a poor management thing, but also a server who isn't paying attention. Our order wasn't placed... that's basics. We won't be back any time soon. Thankfully there is another taco place in the neighborhood with hood drink and good food--Boca Loca-- just down the street.

9.5/10 !! This restaurant is AMAZING! The margaritas? EXCELLENT! The food? SEASONED, FLAVORFUL, AND OF GOOD QUALITY! I'm always looking for New Mexican restaurants and I'm quite surprised I haven't found this place sooner. The servers were fast, efficient, and very nice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!

If you are looking for the best food/margaritas then this is your spot. The staff, the environment, the food, the everything! This is my go to spot when I want to not only eat great food but relax and just take a time out. This place is perfect!

Cescas has a really nice outdoor space and I love being able to get a pitcher of margaritas (not every Mexican places offers pitchers as an option). They have a great staff - enjoyed them every time I have been in. The food leaves a little to be desired. As a vegan, Mexican is often hit or miss. But it can be made delicious with sauces or roasted veggies, mushrooms, potatoes etc... However, this is not the case at Cescas. I like this place. And I want to love this place because the people are so great and the atmosphere is fantastic but they do need to up their food game just a touch.

Stumbled upon this place while looking for a dinner spot with friends. We sat at the bar and the bartender was also the server for the entire restaurant. He did a fantastic job! My friends ordered margaritas that were delicious (especially the pomegranate marg on the rocks). They served us chips and salsa as well :) for dinner I ordered the queso fundido with chorizo, 1 al pastor taco and a side of rice. I demolished the entire thing. IT WAS SO GOOD. My friends ordered nachos and quesadillas. The nachos were yummy as well! I would definitely recommend! I only gave 4 stars because the food came out a little slow considering there weren't a ton of people, but overall I enjoyed the experience!

TGIF , came to dinner with one of my friends here tonight and wow! Food is soooo good and drinks (margarita pitchers!) strong! Definitely will be coming back. Staff was pure perfection and service was great.

The food was ok. The drinks were good. The service was slow and our server was rude. The ambiance is nice.

I haven't been here in a while. I used to love coming here because of beautiful garden area. They have been closed fr lunch since Covid but now are open for lunch so Yelp might want to change the hours of operation. Menu has changed and do have pricing. Chips and salsa used to be free but not anymore. There's a $3 charge for a small basket of chips and a little condiment size of salsa. Sour cream was $2.50. I ordered tacos and asked for flour tortillas and there was an up charge for flour. Very disappointed but server was nice. Also you had to scan the menu from the table which doesn't tell you about all the up charges. One last thing my friend ordered the flautas which come with beans and rice. He asked the server if they could substitute the beans for another rice and they charged him for the extra rice. Last week I went to uncle Julio's and they kept bringing more chips and salsa and sour cream all was free and food and drink great. Go there instead!

Cesca's is probably my favorite restaurant in the whole in Andersonville. There are some good places to eat in the neighborhood but a lot of the ones people like are terribly overrated and the food they prepare I can easily make myself. I can make a lot of the food Cescas makes too, and I am very close to them, and yet they're one of the few places I eat at regularly. Why? The quality of the food for the price is really hard to match. All the ingredients are very fresh, including homemade fruit purées for their drinks, as well as all salsas and mole. The service is always very good and very fast too, whether you're dining in or getting take out. In nicer weather, the outdoor patio is really wonderful too. They've changed their menu over the years - now having a whole taco section - but luckily that hasn't affected standards and some of my favorites. The mole nachos are pretty great, maybe my favorite along w enchiladas mole since the mole itself is good. Lots of restaurants will resort to using a prepackaged mole paste for their mole dishes since it can be labor intensive to make. I also enjoy making it using a recipe from a Oxacaqueña friend's family, but usually have done it once a year and then freeze the rest because of the amount of time and ingredients requiredz To be honest though, Cescas's mole is so similar to the recipe I've been making that I haven't even done it the last couple of years because any time I am craving mole I can get it from Cesca's. Considering how many styles of mole there are, I am really glad / lucky I can get a kind I like there any time. The flavor is savory, fruity, nutty, and rich - perfectly balanced and not too spicy or salty.

Looking for good margaritas at the north side? I would definitely recommend this place. They have a lot od tequila to choose from. They also have signature margaritas and can choose from small, big or pitcher. The bartender is very polite and professional. I never had food but only chips. Though my friend ordered tortilla soup and it was sumptuous. I will definitely come back and bring more friends. I just hope they should put some frames or decor on the wall.

Stumbled upon this Mexican Restaurant when looking for a place to eat in Andersonville. We were there pretty early for dinner (around 5PM) so we had no problems getting a table. We were served complimentary chips and salsa as soon as we were seated. The chips were excellent and the salsa was mildly spicy. Here are all of the drink and food items we tried: Tamarind margarita with a Chile salt rim ($11) - Deliciously sweet and sour, alcohol is on the weak side Mole Nachos ($12): Mole sauce is to die for! Some of the best nachos I've had Enchiladas Suizas ($13): Good portion sizes, pretty standard enchilada. Would want to try the Enchiladas de Mole next time: Tacos Al Pastor Dinner ($11): Smaller portion size since it only comes with two tacos, rice and beans. Flavor was good but too little filling in the tacos. Overall, pretty solid place in Andersonville. Would come back to try some of the mezcal cocktails.

Not the best experience here. It was a bad start even upon walking in, no host and no sign saying seat yourself, so we were kind of like... what do we do and finally someone working there shouts out, wherever you like! Literally everyone that came in after us had the exact same situation. Me and my boyfriend went here yesterday and they had a taco deal, $2 tacos and $3 for shrimp and fish... not a bad deal at all. In terms of the drinks, not bad, a little over priced for no reason, we got 2 rounds and had to wait almost 15 minutes for the second round, there was literally one waiter working.. it wasn't super busy but he seemed very flustered and a little overwhelmed, and we waited almost 15 minutes for the bill too.. they just need am extra set of hands. The tacos themselves... well first off, my boyfriend asked for extra steak on his steak tacos and even mentioned he would pay extra. When the food came out he and I clearly had the same amount of steak on our tacos and I had not done extra meat. Upon asking the waiter he said oh my fault I must have forgotten to write extra meat on the ticket... uhh, ok. The shells were warmed up in straight up oil, so oily and the ends were crunchy, just not good. The shrimp taco and fish taco were not bad at all honestly, minus the shell. The chicken taco was pure crap. I ate one bite and it was dry, tasteless and damn near rubbery! Just so gross. Do not need or want to go back here... definitely disappointing.

We ventured in here after having given up on some of the other local mexican haunts, which all had their issues. I am excited to report that we loved it. The margaritas are to die for. I am on my second round of the Mezcalita, which was great. I had the Chile Relleno. Which was delicious. Portions are a good size as well. We saw that there were some mixed reviews but decided to try it anyways. Glad we did.

Bottomless chips and salsa, along with big portions. The margarita was a bit more expensive than it was worth, but outside of that it is a solid Mexican option.

The vegetarian torta was really flavorful and the salsa as well. I would definitely love to come back and sit on the patio next time and order the torta again.

I can't figure this place out. The patio is nice. The food is fine. They have huevos divorciados and molletes on the brunch menu, which is cool. But our server seemed very new and unfamiliar with the menu. I thought it was bizarre that they didn't have coffee. And the server wasn't sure if they had coffee - she had to go in the kitchen to check. Ideally they'd have both cafe en olla and American-style coffee as options. There's a lot of untapped potential here for brunch/lunch.

The food is great. The service used to be fine. The last time I ordered TO GO, It took 40 minutes. The restaurant was not very busy. I complained to the manager, and he said the kitchen was very backed up and busy. But... it wasn't. It was almost like they forgot. I tried ordering for pick up tonight, and the phone does not work. It goes right to a voice mail saying the mail box is full. And I'm seeing other reviews that waited unacceptable amounts of time. I'm too afraid to order from them now. What is up, Cesca's? UPDATED:. Placed an order on Yelp tonight (Since they apparently don't have a phone, which is ridiculous). It went through. Just showed up to pick up my order and....they're closed. What the fuck. Very, very disappointed. They need to shape up or ship out.

First time here and it was just a great experience from the minute my fiancé and I walked in we felt welcomed! We were celebrating our anniversary and this place just set the mood. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our waitress was excellent, she gave us an amazing service and was very attentive. Let's not forget about the food, which was super delicious! The chicken fajita is to die for!!! The empanadas and steak tacos are fire!! This is also the place that my fiancé proposed!!!!! Everything was just perfect! We highly recommend this place.

We loved this restaurant. Normally, the food is consistent, service is (usually) good. Last experience was very bad. Heavily on the management/owner (?). The main reason I am reviewing is because of the outcome of our bad experience & the fact that management/owner spoke under his breath as we left and stated, "then don't come here", in response to our friend stating (to our group only) "this was just a bad experience". As a previous waitstaff/bartender for many many years, when a guest walks through the door, they are prepared to give their money & potential repeat business. Therefore, the job of yourself & that establishment is to make that guest happy. This wasn't the case... Quickly: we weren't brought items we asked for, drinks were forgotten, certain items that came with our order took forever; to the point where our food got cold by the time they actually came & were necessary to the meal, waitstaff kept blaming the "new bussers" "it's his third day" & "kitchen kept talking & wouldn't listen". Very bizarre & poorly handled. Pretty disappointed as a party of 8. We won't be back, nor will our group. We will be bringing our business elsewhere in the neighborhood since we are heavy 'shop local' supporters. But, as far as the manager/owner is concerned, he doesn't care anyways. Oh well...

Disappointed in the food and service. Not sure what changed since the last time I visited the restaurant but with the abundance of other places to go in andersonville no amount of great Yelp reviews will help this place stay open. Especially when the manager tells you in response to" was everything ok? " "then don't come back" as he walks away. The food was ok as were the margaritas, portions small. Servers were not trained or new and absolutely clueless how to handle problems with the order. Incompetent management. Will not be back, too bad, cute patio.

Tonight, my partner and I decided to visit a restaurant to support local. We decided to walk over to Cescas to enjoy a dinner in their beautiful patio. We were greeted kindly and taken to our table outside. After 3.2 seconds, we haven't even had enough time to scan the QR code to look at their online menu we are asked for our order without any personal engagement. We kindly asked for a minute to make a choice. About 5 minute later we are approached by another server, Angel. We give our order for 2 drinks, an appetizer, and 2 entrees. Time passes, tables are sat down, and we are sitting there with our drinks and that's all. I must admit that at first, I didn't realize that it had been over 35 minutes of sitting there without food but I was sure that it was just my hunger. Then I noticed that not 1, not 2, not 3, but 4 tables who were sat after us all were served their entrees. Meanwhile Angel continues to look at our empty table. At the 45-minute mark I flag down another server, I thought, and asked him to please have our order packed up to-go. At this point I was livid, but hey hunger is hunger. Angel approaches our table a few moments later to proclaim its not her fault. The printer didn't print. I pride myself on being understanding but the 'pass the buck' wasn't my idea of owning it and being truly sorry for making your patrons sit without food for almost an hour. I paid in full for this meal, at this point to go. I didn't want to stiff the restaurant on food I know I would enjoy, now from the comfort of my home in a to go container. Fast forward to my home... we're missing items. At this point I am trying to contain the joy of my dinner being ruined by poor service to now be overshadowed by now feeling like a fool for paying for food I didn't receive. I call and talk to the manager. He remembered me asking for it to go. His solution... to give him my credit card number over the phone so he can 'charge me, then refund me for missing items'. I declined, his counter... free appetizer next time I am in. At this point I'm questioning my life choices on why it would have been so bad to stay in and cook, but alas I digress. I pass on his offer... instead I sit here and write this review. I write it in hopes to capture their attention... not for me, as I told him he can keep my $70 from this meal, but in hopes this doesn't continue to happen. I have several friends who live in Andersonville who have had customer issues with this establishment. So... I conclude and leave you with this... if you are in the mood for Mexican food in the area go to Mas Alla Del Sol, a place that prides themselves on great food and service to match!

I went here with the wife for some much needed Mexican. The food was good, but it needed to be better seasoned. We had to add a lot of hot sauce. I get that people in the Midwest can't handle spicy food, but this restaurant went too far in the mild direction. But that doesn't make this a bad restaurant. I would probably go back. We started with queso and it was very good - a delicious blob of cheese. The cheese was served with tortillas that were excellent and arrived at the table hot. I had tostadas and liked them. The wife had tamales and said they were okay. Service here is excellent. We were here on a Monday and it was slow and quiet. There is a nice bar and this place is billed as a margarita place, but we didn't try them. I would need to come back here on a busier night to comment on this place as a night spot.

My first time there was this past Sunday. I am very picky when it comes down to Mexican food but this place was very good. The ambiance was very enjoyable and hey also had lunch special/ happy hour. I had their huevos divorciados with red and green sauce I also ordered a side of avocado. I ordered a mimosa which was fresh and delicious. Waiters and everyone else were supper friendly they even had dancers in the back outside patio which I really enjoyed. I would definitely go back.

I had a raspberry frozen margarita and green enchiladas. The margarita was ok! The taste was werid, it tasted like a normal margarita with raspberry syrup--they didnt even stir in the syrup! The enchiladas were good. I would definitely go back but get a different margarita.

The original Caesar I think has passed away - but the restaurant is carrying on swimmingly! It's simply amazing. Great attentive service, margaritas are top-notch, empanadas are delightful!

I liked this place in the past. No more!! Rude bartender, lower than mediocre food. What happened? Don't know. But if you don't fix it soon--buh bye!! There are many other places in Aville I would rather spend my hard earned $$ Wake up! You have one I the best locals in Aville and drinks are pretty good. Work on staff. The whole I encountered tonight is "kiiliin" you bisiness!!
