Ceviche DOZO - sushi & ceviche -

So glad we found this place. The food was incredibly fresh and prepared by the owner, who was so kind (and also our server). The dozo roll was so fresh and the karrage burrito was freshly made and tasted so amazing. We will be back to try so many other things. We also had the matcha cheesecake with vanilla ice cream (so yummy!), all made in house by the owner! Amazing amazing amazing find!!! Had some sake and a french fry appetizer as well, all for under $40. Great value for excellent fresh food.

Such a pleasant, delightful hidden gem. The quality and freshness of the food is unmatched! After you eat here you will understand what you have been missing out on an will never want to purchase store bought sushi 🍣 again. It would be a great disservice to your 👅tongue. So go an eat everything!

AMAZING! The food is creative, fresh, delicious and filling! Absolutely blown away but the quality and taste of the dishes! The service is exceptional! The servers took time to understand my allergies and provide and safe and delicious dish for me! I can not recommend this place enough!

We just found the little gem today ! I drive by this place every day on my way to work. We decided to give a try, and it was great ! They’re sushi’s are amazing, and not too pricey. I’ll definitely be coming back here. Highly recommended !

A nice little Japanese restaurant. Had a great Karage Don, with a side of salad, grilled gyosa and sushi. Everything was well prepared and prepared. Friendly and professional service made the whole experience perfect. Great value for the price. Highly recommend it.

I loved this place. The sushi was super fresh. I am a fan of sushi but I am very picky about where I eat my sushi. This will definitely be my to-go for sushi. The shrimp tempura was my favorite! Also had the spicy creamy crab roll and it was amazing with just the right amount of spice! The sesame salmon was delicious. So fresh!! I tried boba tea for the first time (strawberry) and it was soo so good! The place is nice and clean. The hostess/waitress was very attentive and explained with patience what boba tea was (to maybe the only person who was not enlightened). This is close to my job so I will definitely be a regular!

Hands down one of my favorite places in the area! We were (hungry) in the area and found Ceviche DOZO with a quick Google search. We weren’t expecting anything more than a nice meal but were absolutely. Blown. Away. When our food first arrived we were all really excited as the plating was lovely and the portions were very generous. When we each took our first bites there was an audible “mmm” across the table. Our group ordered across the menu so I can say it’s all excellent: the sushi rolls, the curry, the katsu… you can’t miss I recommend getting the strawberry and/or pineapple Nigori sake; it’s the perfect compliment to a great meal! If you’re in the area be sure to stop by; these folks are doing something outstanding and it’s only a matter of time before they become the next big thing!

A great place with a nice atmosphere and awesome service. The food is delicious and very affordable compared to what's around. They serve dishes that you wouldn't find in most places such as the Okonomiyaki, which I have yet to try. The shrimp tempura I had was probably one of the best I've tasted around and the bubble tea is delicious with plenty of flavor options. Definitely will be back to try the rest of the menu!

What an amazing dinner! This is yet another place that I would've never found without Yelp. It sits along a nondescript little strip mall and if you weren't looking for you would never find it. The space is simple, but very welcoming with pleasant artwork and various accoutrements. The proprietor was there to greet me and engaged in conversation throughout my stay. I started with an order of grilled pork dumplings. These were amazing with the wonderful crispy shell and fresh pork inside. It was love at first bite. My second course was a double order of chicken yakitori. I haven't had authentic yakitori since I went to Japan, and this was definitely the real deal. I decided I had to sample one more item from the menu and ordered one of the sushi rolls, I believe it was called Kobo? Such a wonderful experience. I can't wait to come back someday.

Hands down the most beautiful and delicious meals I've ever had anywhere!!!!! If you live anywhere near here and you haven't tried it you are missing out, the chef is wonderful, service is great, parking is ok, the price for the quality of the food is excellent, worth every penny. If you didn't notice this is my favorite restaurant!

The service was excellent. The food was fresh and I knew it wouldn't make me sick. There was a few authentic features about the place. But what I didn't like is that I traveled half an hour, to meet with someone I was going to introduce to uncooked Sushi. And when I got there at 7:30PM. She said that the reason they only had salmon is because it was later in the evening. If you want a restaurant and it has six, maybe seven sushi rolls in the menu and the variety is three different types of fish.. You shouldn't just have one type of fish (Salmon) to offer your dinner clients. I'm sure they don't get daily delivery of sushi grade fish, every morning before they open up. But like I said what we did have... they said we could order (any roll) made with salmon instead. Was satisfactory as far as freshness and taste.

Truly an amazing restaurant run seemingly by just one amazing woman named Harumi. I got the lomo and the chicken Katzu and the volcano roll. They were all fantastic. Split it with my friend Ryan Buynak. It was enough for the two of us. The music was great too!

WOW! The ceviche here is fresh and a nice amount as well. I had my lunch order of mixed ceviche to go. It came with fried yucca as well. The matcha ice tea was tasty. A one woman show....friendly and quick. I will be back to try more of the menu. Sorry there is no photo to post as I inhaled my food.

Stopped here a few times in June & July 2020 Decent prices. I always placed and picked up to go orders. The staff on the phone and the ones at the counter when I picked up the orders were always very kind and helpful. The restaurant was clean and is very well kept. All of the food I ordered was fresh. Small parking lot.

Had a sushi craving and wanted something good and affordable. I happened upon this place and it is so close to my house. It is small and quaint but the service is fast and friendly. I ordered 3 different rolls because it was so hard to decide and they were very good and affordable!

Options are slightly limited, but don't let that deter you. Everything that is served here is fresh and delicious. The owner is the waitress and cook, so it may take a few minutes to be served. The decor is cute and simple IKEA finds but it feels clean and uncluttered. I like the options as they are closer to what Japanese natives eat at home. The owner is trained in Japan. The location is a little tricky, it is easy to overlook the restaurant on Hollywood Blvd. a couple streets away from 441. You can make the next right and circle around though if you miss it the first time. Parking is free right in front of the store front.

Ducked in because I saw the place was close and hot on Yelp! So, I brought the birthday girl, Dr. P., and her charmer daughter with me to celebrate how cool Pam is. We tried probably 8 or 10 different rolls, including the popular Volcano, and Chicken, and California Rolls. We also tried the Mixed Ceviche. And wine. And dessert. * Tres Leches was a hit, and so was the * Matcha Cheesecake So, awesome experience. All told it came in under $90 bucks without tip. The Ceviche rocked. Small, humble joint in a strip mall. Our female server was also the chef this evening. That was cool, but inefficient as there exists a robust take out demand. Cabeza OUT!

The Volcano Roll!! This sushi restaurant was close to my house and because of the reviews on yelp I ordered to pick up my food from yelp and.... my experience was delicious and very convenient and definitely low price :) Since I ordered online through Yelp all I did was walk in the restaurant and they already had my food waiting for me so I just grabbed the bag and I left---- so easy. So delicious so affordable..... YUMMMMY

Great spot for a quick bite to eat. Inside there are about 6-8 tables. There are 2 individuals who prepare and serve every dish. The sushi was okay. The pricing is very inexpensive and is reflected in the size of the rolls. The Matcha Green Tea Milk Tea was very good. Extremely cold and refreshing. The Chicken Katsu Curry Don had some really nice flavor. Inside is very clean and service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place for lunch.

By far one of the best Japanese meals I have ever had and the Latin touch is very nice. She is an amazing chef and multi tasked as she often will perform every task on her own if you visit outside of peak hours. The miso is sublime. The sushi is thoughtfully prepared, fresh and delicious. The air fried tofu she makes is the best tofu I ever tried and I don't like tofu. The special drinks she hand crafts pair so well and she is just the most pleasant wonderful host.

My friend has told me about this place because they have good food. I called the store to place an order, no answer. I then drove out to the store to place an order in store and they were closed while online it says they're open. Very bad impression for my first time. Please be considerate and update your hours.

So delicious. So fresh and fairly priced !!! Got all this poke style tuna and salad for $9.99!! The restaurant was clean and welcoming. Not much foot traffic in the area but worth the drive, I believe there is delivery available as well! Yummm definitely new and maybe only spot for good Japanese food in western Hollywood/Pembroke Pines. Recently ate in, and the decor is so cute and super clean !!! Great place.

Surprisingly tasty. I ordered the Chan Han ,salmon avocado roll, miso soup & shrimp tempura roll. Tasted like it was made with healthy alternatives. The Salmon Avocado roll didn't have much Salon in it and there floors were very sticky, when I got home my shoes made my floor sticky. Didn't like that.

I had the DOZO roll and the mixed ceviche. I am not crazy about squid, but this may change my perspective. The preparation, to me, was yummy. Maybe a little too much lime juice left in the plate, but it was nice to sort of marinate the yuca fries in after I had finished the main portion. The dozo roll was pretty good. Rice was right for sushi, thought the fish portions were small to what I'm used to. It was still pretty yummy. My wife had the kastuka chicken curry. Reminded me of Caribbean Curry, it was good, could have used a bit more curry for my taste. The chicken was wonderfully breaded and fried, though. Boutique feel, intimate, and friendly. Would return.

YUMM! I've driven by countless times and never even stopped to take a look until one fateful evening I did and decided to check it out for lunch with a coworker. Glad I did! A lot of love, sweat, and effort was put into making this place what it is. Especially when you compare it to its neighbors. Nothing fancy, but love the attention to details, handwritten menu stands, local craft beers, and most importantly a focus on using natural ingredients to create made from scratch dishes! The result is something delicious, fun, and overall a delight. Had the Mango, Pineapple, and a lime smoothie which was quite refreshing and would have loved a shot of Don Julio or even some Zacapa Rum in it. Just to kick it up a bit. I enjoyed the Poke Don, to which my hats off! I had tuna the night before at a "fancier" spot and was disappointed as to the freshness of it. Ceviche Dozo didn't disappoint! The tuna was fresh, chilled, and the poke sauce was great. Very pleased. Also, the price and the portion were right on. Nothing was skimped on. Very impressed and looking forward to coming back. Really great japanese sushi. Small indoor restaurant but with attentive staff. I come here daily to try their different sushis.

My husband really enjoyed his meal, he ordered the Cha-han. I ordered a salmon roll and a tuna roll. The sushi rolls were ok. Not bad, not spectacular. I'm sure the specialty rolls are really good, but I have food allergies, so I have to keep it simple. If you order sushi to go, be sure to ask for extra pickled ginger and wasabi, it was gone before the first roll was finished.

This little gem is phenomenal ! I'm so happy I tried it out my new favorite spot. The sushi is so fresh and the prices are amazing! I love that the sushi is bite-size you can taste the freshness it's wonderful . I had the spicy tuna roll which was very good and fresh my daughter had California roll she absolutely loved it. The gyozas were tasty and the hot sake hit the spot . Would recommend this place greatly you have to try it out for yourself.

You need to try this hip little place. I got the shrimp egg rolls with a house dipping sauce. Really really tasty and fresh ! Then I had the volcano roll which was different than what I was expecting but still great. Then I finished with tres leches because I was extremely hungry that day and I fee no shame. I'll be coming back for sure !

The spicy creamy crab rolls were AMAZING! My only complaint was the flavor and structure of the California Rolls. Visiting from Orlando and I plan to return here again!

What a gem of a place we got here in Hollywood! Don't be scared off by $4-6 rolls...they are tasty and fresh! We had the spicy tuna, JB, California, and chicken katsu. All of them were great and certainly fulfilled our sushi cravings... for 20 bucks!! We also had the beef yakitori which was skirt steak and red bell peppers skewered and grilled. It was tasty but a tiny bit chewy. I had to try the limeade... perfection! Yummy and sweet and sour. The real star was the Matcha Green Tea Tres Leches. Yes, go back and read that one again. It was AMAZING!!!!!!! 3 of us shared it but next time I may need to sneak my own! There are signs everywhere about using fresh ingredients and no msg and such. The decor is super cute too!

Looks like a hole in the wall place from the outside, NEVER judge a book by its cover. Trendy inside, service is great. Food- very good. Great taste. Cute little place. We will be back.

This is my goto for Japanese food. Food was so good and made fresh and I like the quaint atmosphere. Also the prices are very reasonable although if they charge more it would be justified for the quality.

Great to have a new place in the neighborhood. Was a little weary as we were the only ones in the restaurant. The reviews were not very descriptive-we felt adventurous though. The interior is clean and simple. The food was very fresh. Flavors were original and well balanced. We started with the Gyoza dumplings. Ordered them grilled rather than fried. They came our hot and crisp. The pork dumplings were good. Slight crisp to them. Next we tried the mixed ceviche. There are only two ceviche dished on the menu. We were not disappointed. The ceviche had shrimp, squid and fresh fish. The ingredients were all extremely fresh. The squid was tender and not at all chewy. Shrimp was nice sized, firm and tasty. Ordered the ceviche medium heat and it was perfect. The dish was delicious. The last dish we ordered was Okonomiyaki. This seafood pancake was amazing. I've never had a Japanese dish like it. They flavors were complex, but the dish was not overpowering. The cabbage in the egg pancake gave it an added bit of texture. Contained shrimp and squid. The pancake is savory, as described on the menu. The owners were very friendly and attentive. Look forward to trying more dishes when we go back. Welcome to the neighborhood.

Dozo is not ideally located or well attended, but it should be. It open a few months ago. You need to look for his hole in the wall, it is totally worth the trip. The owners were very cordial and both sushi as well as ceviche was among best we've tried in South Florida- no mistake. Decor inside is simple and modern, very clean, plates are very affordable, so value for $ is clearly there. I met the owner for first time as we ventured here and took a gamble. We went to Kohls and picked a place nearby with good prospects. Would hate to see this place close- I'll definitely return when I can soon.

My sister has been recommending this cute, little, super clean and friendly joint for a while. I am so glad I stopped in today for my sushi fix. I ordered a classic....California roll~super fresh! and a Volcano roll....yummy! The dynamite on top was blended out, which is a nice touch. Oh, and the homemade limeade is AWESOME! PERFECT for this ridiculously hot Florida weather!. Stop in and support these guys....let's keep these awesome small businesses alive....!

Everything so fresh, authentic, and DELISH!!!, made from scratch with such care. Chef Harumi knows what she's doing! You can really taste the difference right away - not like all the other wannabe Japanese restaurants littered all over So.Flo!! Plus there are options that have a touch of Peruvian fusion that are super yummy:). THE BEST gyoza, fried rice "Cha-Han," ceviche, limeade, & tres leches ever! The restaurant is clean, modern, refreshing with a friendly atmosphere, and there are great choices on the menu for adults and kids alike. Very reasonably priced- we were pleasantly surprised at the final total after our bellies were so full, plus ordering extra food to-go. A great place to share and try new foods, and hang out for a while (instead of just sitting in that Hollywood Blvd traffic at rush hour :). Definitely coming back for lots more!!

Staff is always super friendly and the prices are great. All their sushi is made to order and they have an assortment of different options. Shrimp Tempura rolls are always a treat, and the Spicy Tuna Roll tastes as fresh as can be. Will definitely return!
