Cha Cha Matcha (NoHo)

A fine spot to grab a takeaway drink. The space could use a bit more care: seats are a bit dusty, there are some crumbs around, the tables could use a good wipe, and the floor a proper mop. It looks charming from the outside or in pictures, but a closer look reveals it’s not very clean. Service was fine, nothing remarkable. Good selection of drinks, with coffee and chai tea on top of the match and specialty options.

Stopped by Cha Cha Matcha in New York — it was okay, but nothing special. The place looks cute and trendy, but the matcha itself was pretty average for the price. Nice to try once, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to visit again.

Gabriella, Olivia and the whole rest of this team are so amazing! I appreciate their friendliness and professionalism. My drinks are always made promptly with my matcha color to perfection! Thank you to the whole team.

Right off the bat the matcha flavour is non existent and I even asked for extra matcha. It just tasted like milk and not to mention it was 7 dollars. There are tons of better matcha places in soho. Although the store is cute the area thd store is located in a weird place in noho and the ac was out or something because it was excruciatingly hot in the summer.

Best matcha in NYC! The quality is great. The matcha is amazing and just plain matcha with nothing and you can really taste the difference. The staff are incredibly friendly and quick, which makes the whole experience even better. I also love the vibe and decor of the place – it's such a cool spot to hang out. Highly recommend if you're looking for great matcha in a fun atmosphere. recommend!

I got the chai matcha latte and it’s so good!! Everytime I visit family in New York from where I now live in Europe, I hit cha cha matcha at least 2x, even if I’m only there for a week 😌 the only thing is it gets kinda crowded but deserved! Try the chai matcha you probs won’t regret it

I had never tried matcha before, and this place was my first experience. I ended up loving it after my first sip—it was so refreshing and tasty. I really liked the presentation, and the flavor was just perfect. The vibe of the place is super cute too, which made the whole experience even better.

Smaller location than the other stores but not uncommon in this area. Better for grab and go since there is only one small indoor bench or outdoor seat. Good matcha, not the highest grade but if you like yours flavored then this might be an option. Small menu. It's more of a trendy youthful type drinks that serious matcha aficionados will probably hate . Staff was very nice, shop was clean, no bathroom .

Stopped by Cha Cha Matcha to try their seasonal drinks, and got myself the cloud matcha drink. While I liked the matcha latte and cloud layer separately, the combination diluted both parties. The cloud cream layer was thick with a subtle vanilla bean flavor. The matcha latte part was already on the diluted side, since I felt like the milk to matcha ratio was high. I wish the matcha flavors were stronger, especially with the addition of the cloud cream. Since the cream was already sweetened and matcha dilute, it kinda felt like sweetened milk with a subtle matcha taste. The drink was nevertheless very aesthetically pleasing! I enjoyed the space with the pink and green accents, and the tables up front. Staff were polite. Would be interested to see how their other drinks compare!

I have been to multiple locations and never been disappointed in my orders. All time favorite matcha places. Liked it even more than shops in Japan. I was recommended by the staff to try the lavender flavor and it is now one of my favorite matcha drinks ever.

Don't use their online order app. Apparently the cafe doesn't get the order until it's pickup time.

The drink was nice but the oat milk overpowered all the other flavors. Price was decent for the area (7$) Aesthetic inside was cute, colorful & lively. They even have playful custom napkins!!

For those who love matcha lattes I think you owe it to yourself to give cha cha matcha a try. Matcha is pretty good. Aesthetics of the place are really nice! They have a few seats if you want to sit in and have your drink.

I'm not gonna lie, this was the first time I have ever actually like matcha. I got the strawberry matcha and it completely changed my opinion on the drink. I loved how the flavors mixed together and I'm really happy I had such a good experience here.

- - ~ * Not bad nitro matcha * ~ - - If you don't like your matcha sweet get the matcha latte! But if you like it sweet get the nitro matcha! The nitro matcha is on tap. It taste smooth as it is a mix of oat milk & coconut milk with vanilla bean paste. The matcha latte is whisked and has simple syrup. (the matcha does not taste ceremonial grade though) The service was super attentive and nice. We were able to sample the nitro before buying it.

Weird Micro aggression. They made my sister the wrong drink. In their defense they did correct it and say we'll make the right one, but the weird part is that instead of offering the drink they made in mistake- they offered it to another group right behind us. I know it's not necessarily our drink but that was so weird. Wouldn't they offer it to us to try? Even just for waiting? It was a lady mid to late 20's, shoulder length hair. Kind of Indian looking. Never going back to this location coz that was weird!!

The shop was cutely decorated with palm trees and pink decor, and it was a perfect size to squeeze in and grab a drink. The servers were nice and explained the tones of the drinks that I inquired about, and I decided on a Strawberry Matcha after the syrup was described as floral and sweet. It was delicious and was separated in layers to drink as desired or mix to your liking. I also love the mug and matcha set as well that I purchased in the background, it is so cute and high quality and comes with a nice carrying case. I plan to return to try the other drinks as the matcha was strong and fantastic if you are in the mood for a quality matcha!

I will always stop here for a quick refresher! After walking the nyc streets for hours, this will come in handy. Especially during the warmer months! You can really taste the quality matcha & when mixed with lemonade, it is amazing! The baristas are also very fast and welcoming. This particular location had seating and all the vibes!

As someone who loves a good matcha, this place did not disappoint and the space being so cute is truly a bonus! It was perfectly sweet (but not too sweet) and the strawberry was definitely fresh! Loved my visit, will be back! Thanks for everything xo

A bright pink and match green cafe selling all things matcha. They offer some pastries and variations of matcha drinks - matcha lemonade, matcha latte, matcha chai, etc. Service is friendly and quick. Ordered a matcha chai (your choice of milk) and was informed that the matcha is unsweetened and the chai is sweetened. It came out with a cute design for the holidays and a great blend of matcha and chai. I appreciated how the drink was not diluted (as matcha can be made at other places sometimes) and the chai spice wasn't too overpowering. It wasn't overly sweet so you could appreciate the flavor. The drink is perfect for the winter/fall. This drink cost $6 pre-tax which is pretty reasonable for matcha in the city.

I love the matcha here and the store is super cute. I tried the matcha lemonade and the draft matcha latte. The matcha lemonade is good but a bit sour. I liked the draft matcha latter more and would order it again.

AMAZING. Super green matcha! Highly recommend the strawberry one! Additionally the soft serve was insane especially the swirl! The place was super cute and girly. Plus the baristas were so nice and even gave us a free ice cream!

Best matcha I've EVER had. And girlllll I've had some matchas let's just put it that way. I proudly went full tourist mode taking pics at different angles of my draft matcha. Some may complain that the servers seem rude, but as an a LA native I didn't feel this was an issue and I feel that just brings the LA vibe to NYC and fits their brand! Their baristas are all very knowledgeable and still had great service. Everything about this cafe made me feel like I was back home in SoCal, it was such a fun treat in the winter. Thank you.

We were finishing up shopping nearby and decided we wanted something refreshing to drink. The interior of this place is so cute and service was fast. Matcha chai with oat milk - could not taste any matcha at all in this drink and it was too sweet.

This time I decided to go with a Beautiful Latte consisting of ashwagandha, collagen, honey, bee pollen, vanilla, and milk. It cost $9.80, which was expected since it got all the elixirs that you see in a wellness store all in one cup. The drink was really potent and I had an acquired taste with the bee pollen. The bee pollen was very bitter when it hit my tongue and along with the honey making it an ultra bitter sweet drink. Not my cup of tea even though it looked very pretty and all so I will just stick to only matcha from now on. The matcha is very very green so you know it's top notch. The staff made it extremely fast without me waiting at all.

Update** I came back on Saturday after my wisdom teeth removal to try the draft latte since I was in the area. 6/5 It is sooooo good! Creamy and coconutty and yummy. Please do get it when you're in the area! It won't disappoint. My only complaint is that is doesn't come in a bigger size

Wanted to get something healthy and refreshing so I came here when the store was pretty packed. I decided to get Iced matcha and only waited no more than 2 minutes. The matcha was very good and strong and location was super cute with the pink and green colors. Will come back to this cute spot! 10/10 :)

I have been caught up in the insane green storm of matcha and I am not even ashamed about it. Few joys can relieve the burning thirst for something refreshing, earthy and anti-inflammatory as matcha on ice. So when my girlfriend and I found ourselves exhausted of walking around NoHo shopping and talking - we knew a matcha was just what we needed, and the Lord delivered as we turned around the block and was greeted by the vibrant aura of Cha Cha Matcha. Small, unassuming place with lots of power. I absolutely love the pink and green. Unapologetically energetic and unique. This place is an Instagrammer's dream yet a Matcha lovers paradise as well. The whole palm tree aesthetic is so adorable. It's literally like I walked into South Beach Miami. This store is really cute because you can enter on one street an exit on another. It reminds me of those cute little beachside playa bowl shacks. I wasn't in the mood for dairy or sugar and so what do they have to cater to my taste? Behold, MATCHA WATER. So simple yet so .... Genius? More places need to offer this. We came, we ordered, we Instagram'd, and we walked out.... With just enough seating and space for these exact needs of everyone who walks in. An oasis in a concrete jungle. Literally.

Firstly, such an adorable place. I got a strawberry matcha with almond milk. It was good, but I didn't taste the matcha whatsoever. It tasted strongly of honey and strawberry milk, which is a delicious combo but it completely overpowered any matcha taste that could've been there. The price wasn't terrible either, but if you're looking for a strawberry matcha, I'd pass on this one.

I love the branding of this place and the interior is so cute. Everything is pink and tropical. I ordered a standard matcha latte and it came out to be $6.50. I've had matcha lattes from them before and I remember them being good. However, this one was very watery and you could not taste the matcha at all. I think they make their own oat milk, which is cool, but I don't know if that added to it being watery. I had problems getting my drink after I ordered as someone took mine. The staff then said they would remake it, but they weren't very clear and someone else took the remade drink. I had to ask again and eventually got it, but it took almost 30 min. In general, the drinks were being made pretty slowly, so expect to wait a bit. I've enjoyed other locations of Cha Cha Matcha, but I wasn't impressed by this one. I probably won't be revisiting.

This was the best beverage I've ever had. Period. In any category. The Turmeric Ginger Matcha. My mom and sister said the same thing about their drinks. I also drank a good amount of my toddler's strawberry lemonade, and while it tasted more like a flat refresher than a lemonade, it wasn't bad. In fact, even better for my toddler. I was thankful for a creative caffeine free option. Staff was amazing.

Just amazing. Trying to go to New York just to get back to this place. Wish they were closer to where I live. Everything was delicious and the staff was great. The restaurant was clean and bright and a fun place to partake of these tasty treats.

I'm so happy I stumbled upon this gem. Loved everything about Cha Cha Matcha! My drink was tasty, strong, and the servers are super friendly and helpful. Next time I hope to have a little more time and get a work session in, because this place is just to cute! 10/10 recommend!

This place doesn't accept cash, which is illegal. I've reported them to the New York State Department of Financial Services' Consumer Help Unit. The counter help was rude.

I went here with high hopes because of all the hype around them, I don't know if it's just this location but I was really disappointed. When I walked in the place was very unclean and smelt like Lysol wipes. The customer service was good! But the drinks weren't good, as an avid matcha drinker they just didn't deliver a good matcha. I order their strawberry matcha, draft matcha, and a regular matcha latte at of all those the strawberry would be the best. I also order the blue drink and I couldn't finish it because it gave me a horrible stomach ache, I don't know if there was some type of cross contamination, but I did not feel good after the drink, to the point I had to cut my day short.

They have so many locations in the country that I will find time to explore. I love the pink theme color as it looks sweet. So lovely! Their drinks are also very photogenic yet delicious with rich matcha flavor. I'm a big fan of matcha so every items on the menu looks good to me. I will eventually tick all drinks on their menu for sure. Comment your favorite drink! I love you so matcha!

This place is decorated so cute! I was visiting New York and wanted to grab a matcha latte and stumbled upon Cha Cha Matcha. They offer a simple menu along with some food options. I went with a hot matcha latte with almond milk and it hit the spot. Good quality matcha, I also grabbed one of their banana chia pudding jars yum.

My girlfriend and I were walking in the neighborhood and saw this place. We are a fan of Matcha and decided to give it a try. We were greeted with a great staff. We decided to try Depacha Matcha with coconut milk! It was pretty good. It is an acquired taste because it contained bee pollen. But overall, it was a good drink!

Cute matcha shop with simple but varying seasonal menu. Seems every time I visit, there's something new. A few snacks and soft serve also available. Draft nitro matcha latte with oat and ?almond milk was yummy and naturally slightly sweet which I liked. Just a few indoor seats.

Ordered on DoorDash since I had credit to use. I got the Beautiful Latte (usually $7) and it was delicious. Just expensive. Staff is very very nice though. Beautiful store.

The strawberry matcha was perfectly balanced and blended. I really appreciate the subtle sweetness and contrasting flavors of the matcha and the strawberry jelly. I've had strawberry matchas before but this one has definitely rose above the ones i've had before. Excellent matcha!

Of course the ice cream machine wasn't working ... I'm not sure if it was just the drinks I had but they were not good. Matcha was watery the pink drink was bitter. All just not good. Is the place over hyped? Maybe. Could it just have been my drinks? Maybe

Good traditional matcha drinks that doesn't come in overly sweetened versions like the retail places. This place was super cute and vibrant in color. Happy a location exists near my favorite no-frills eateries like Levain and Los Tacos. I always am picky about my matcha drinks because I've drank enough green tea lattes for as long as they've been available in the market and right when it has made it to Starbucks' main drinks menu. But a good matcha or green tea latte must be naturally sweet with that tint of green tea bitterness that's soothing and guzzles down well. This place always does it for me and still reasonably priced in my book. -whispers (I've had $9.00 matcha lattes before and still not passable for me). My iced matcha latte was nicely blended without bits of clumpy powder, it wasn't overly saturated with sugar that would make my tongue scared, color was vibrant, and it was easy to drink where I kept wanting to take more sips. That's the power of a good matcha drink and I now see reasons why this establishment gained lots of media attention and magazine placements. They do matcha well for sure. My barista was great and I caught the drinks traffic on a good day where they were generous to let me sample their green matcha soft serve - so heavenly good with that tint of matcha still in there. Sometimes a girl needs a coffee break and this matcha place is an excellent healthy alternative.

This is a very cute, pink cafe. I love the vibes of it being a tropical, disco paradise. Service was very fast and friendly. I tried the Purple Drink and I gotta say that I got relaxed fast. Additionally it tastes well. Will come by here again if I'm in the area

Hi, I'm a tourist. I'm also one of those "Instagram people." I like for my food to look and taste good, what can I say? And why not when you're on vacation? So, Cha Cha Matcha's IG was sent to me by a friend who knew I was heading to New York City. I was thrilled when I saw this cute shop was located just a few blocks from my AirBnb. If I had liked it more I probably would have gone daily since it was so close. The actual experience was just a-okay and not something I got excited thinking about the next day when I was looking for my caffeine fix. I got the matcha latte with oat milk planning to fall in love with the staple menu item and return the next few days for more. I just wasn't impressed. It was fine, but I've had better elsewhere. I'll try several things for the picture element at least once, but I've got to love it when it comes to the second time. This wasn't worth a second visit for me. The customer service wasn't anything worth remembering. My drink was smaller than I was expecting it to be for the price. However, overall prices were still what I was expecting in the city. I did like that they have canned drinks too. I almost grabbed one for the train back home at the end of my trip, but I didn't get excited about going back, so I didn't. If you're in the area, need a pick me up, and some color for the 'gram- swing by Cha Cha Matcha! I wouldn't suggest going too far out of your way for the experience though, especially if you aren't a picture person and don't care about how adorable the shop is.

This is a nice place to grab a matcha drink to-go! They have non-matcha options and a variety of milk alternatives too. I decided to try their ginger turmeric drink, which tasted good because neither the ginger, turmeric or matcha was overpowering. They have two entrances, one on Lafayette and one on Mulberry St. They also have a bench and some short tables in their small seating area.

I am such a sucker for their aesthetics. Usually I really try to not let branding or marketing influence my decision. Even though their aesthetic is low key super basic, it is strong and caused me to order from here. I ended up getting the pink drink and started feeling cloud 9 for the rest of the day. I got the pink drink ($6) which comes with hibiscus, rosehips, bee pollen, and maca. Yummy!

I've been coming here 1-2 times per week for about a year now. I'm not sure what happened but about ~3 months ago - what seems like overnight - the entire staff changed. Which is such a major disappointment because this new staff is dramatically underwhelming. MUCH SLOWER, not efficient, they don't seem like they know what they're doing, and the old staff would make the drinks so much better!!! And, the old staff was quick with taking orders, quick with making drinks, overall very organized. Never in my life have I noticed when staff comes and goes at a restaurant/coffee shop/ etc., but it has made such a dramatic, negative impact on this location. I hope management & the owners see this review. Pls fix this cha cha NOHO location - it is not the same.

Nitro. Matcha. Latte. Love love love! It's my absolute favorite from cha cha matcha, even if a cup of it will run you $6-8 depending on tip. Cute outpost of Cha cha matcha, I stop by at least once a month to grab this drink.

Ugh i love this place so much i wish i can pack it in my suitcase and take the whole shop with me to Miami lol. The decor is super cute with the flamingos and palm trees, The people who work here are so helpful, nice and answered the few questions i had with no problem. I ordered the Purple drink $6.00 (friggin amazing) | Matcha and lavender soft serve $5.00 (bombbb) and Iced Matcha latte with hemp milk $5.25 (delicious minus me ordering it with hemp milk) the quality of the Matcha was superb the only thing i would take back was ordering my Matcha latte with hemp milk and should've ordered it with oat milk-- which was completely my fault for trying something i didn't know it would taste first lol. Cant wait to go back!

I am a huge matcha lover so walking into Cha Cha Matcha was like paradise. This is a very cute location in NoHo and enjoyed just chillin their sippin my drink. They have matcha drinks and matcha ice cream. I can honestly try any thing they serve because their matcha is really good. I'm excited to know that there is a Los Angeles location too so I don't have to travel all the way to go to NY. #aileenlovescoffeeshops
