"Cha Cocina Libre is located inside a small house in the Versalles neighborhood, and not only is the staff extra friendly, but they do some great Mexican breakfast favorites. They nail every dish, but some standouts include their tres leches pancakes that taste like a buttery, fluffy cake, and the torta de chilaquiles that’s filled with fried tortilla chips covered in salsa. After you’re done, check out Hilo y el Mar, a small clothing shop behind the restaurant where you can stock up on linen vacation outfits." - debora mestre

"Hungover and in search of a hearty brunch, I went to Cha, a cute little cafe in the city's Versalles district. Alongside the plates of chilaquiles and sopes loaded with cochinita pibil came a tall bottle of filtered water with rosemary." - Amy McCarthy

We have been coming here once or twice a visit over the past year, when we visit PV. Chá consistently delivers good service, even when busy. We have enjoyed every dish we've tried so far. This morning's photos are the falafel dish and the omelette (with bacon). Our total bill came to 530 pesos including 2 chai lattes to accompany breakfast. With tip, 680 (just under $50 CAD) - about 20-25% less than what we'd pay in Canada for a nice breakfast at a restaurant that's a bit upscale. Presentation: nicely done; Portions: excellent (sometimes we are full before we finish). Wait times: sometimes (Saturday mornings get busy quickly), but so far, the wait times have been short. Worth it. Same overall high quality as seen at Homun (common owner).

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here. While the menu is limited, everything offered is excellent. There’s something for both meat lovers and vegetarians, ensuring everyone leaves satisfied. The simple yet flavorful cocktails were a delightful addition.

Food is great, and the atmosphere is very warm. However, the smoothies are quite watery, and not blended all that well.

Overall, a nice place to enjoy breakfast made from fresh ingredients with nice outdoor seating. My only complaint is the food is very hit or miss. English Breakfast, Salmon Benedict, and Chilaquiles have great flavor. The Tres Leches Hot Cakes were very underwhelming. They use a powdered sugar glaze, which doesn’t make sense because Tres Leches as the same suggests uses sweetened condensed milk. It tasted chalky too and the hot cakes got soggy. The papa bravas are not papa bravas… they are hand cut fries tossed in a siracha mayo type of sauce. It was too salty and too spicy to enjoy. It should just be drizzled on top for added flavor rather than completely smothered.

Busy but tranquil little cafe with great food. Service is attentive and friendly. I had the fried spicy chicken sandwich and my husband had the chilaquiles both were delicious! They frequently have a wait time for a table during peak hours but it's worth it.

Super cute restaurant. Definitely the breakfast I’ve had yet in PV. Really good, fresh, high quality food, friendly waitstaff, and really good coffee.
