"You know what they don’t tell you about selling your clothes on the internet? It’s a lot of f*cking work. Sifting through your closet, engaging with people online, determining which low-rise jeans do or do not spark joy (spoiler alert: it’s always the latter), and for what? A couple extra bucks a month? No. Just order from CHD instead. Baskets of mandu, or Korean dumplings, come either grilled or steamed, and start at just $10. Or if you’re feeling like a certain Queen song and just Want It All, get the combination plate. For $14, you’ll get ten pieces filled with pork, kimchi, galbi, shrimp, and chili - which, no offense, is a much better deal than anything you could find on Depop. Korean dumpling place from Korea

Things I want to eat in LA

Google
This is my go-to mandu/Korean dumpling place, and everytime I come here it's always delicious and consistent. The mandu is soo crispy and light, paired well with the dipping sauce, and the tteokbokki is chewy and the perfect amount of spice with cheese. Kimchi fried rice is also one of my faves here. The prices are reasonable and service is fast. Parking is free with validation for lunch hours!

Google
This place felt familiar right away—it reminded me of restaurants back in Korea. The meat and kimchi dumplings were both really tasty, but I wouldn’t recommend the veggie ones—the filling was too skimpy. I also tried the seasonal cold jjolmyeon, and it was delicious! The veggies were fresh, the portion was just right, and the space was clean. The only downside was the parking situation—not really the restaurant’s fault, but the plaza’s system. Even though the posted parking rules (like in my photo) seemed reasonable, once you drive in, the attendants at the entrance block access and say valet is mandatory—$20 no matter what. I ended up parking on the street instead. I almost reported it because it felt unfair, but I let it go since I was traveling. Still, it’s been bugging me. Just something to keep in mind if you visit!

Google
Not really impressed. Can't believe this place has high ratings. You can find better bunshik places in LA. 1. Get street parking. $5 valet after 2pm is not worth it here. 2. Ordered jeyuk rice (hot and spicy pork over rice)- it's okay. More white rice than pork or veggies. 3. Ordered half and half steamed mandoo. It was good enough but has MSG taste. I wish we just went to Hangari Kalgoosoo nearby.

Google
Absolutely enjoyed this restaurant. Every time I have come it has been slow. However they do get a good amount of pick up orders. Delicious Mandu or dumplings. I ordered shrimp and sweet pork mandu. They were pan fried and so good. I’ve also had their kimchi mandu. You get some yellow pickled daikon and a container of water, but they also offer soft drinks. Some of their tables are really cute. They have butterflies. They have a central communal table and some booths as well. Usually they play really good K-pop but since there aren’t usually many customers eating in they really don’t have much to offer if you’re looking for great ambiance. Meter parking and parking in a structure available. The structure is underneath the shopping center.

Google
Highly disappointing Korean food. I’m very surprised about the rating for this place. Place came rememded by friends but was immensely disappointing. Food: had the spicy pork, bulgogi, and pork mandu and none of these were good. Spicy pork was not that flavorful, mediocre and full of MSG. The bulgogi was similar but my family member could not eat it so they tossed it. They said it was the worst they’ve ever had. This place was recommended for their dumplings/mandu, and I couldn’t eat more than one. It was the worst mandu I’ve ever had. Weird mixture of taste and had a chemical smell. Bad aftertaste too. Service: friendly, efficient; I did take out so not much to mention here Accessibility: located in a busy plaza with paid parking underneath. Parking for pickup is free for 30 minutes. The vibe of the place was clean and nice. Open and light.

Google
CHD was a great lunch experience! Service was quick and attentive. The interior is clean and well decorated. Parking underneath is convenient, although on weekends it’s still $5 after validation. The food was all very good. The menu is full of well-executed classics. Tons of kimchi flavor in the fried rice, and the Mandu were crispy and came with a selection of fun dipping sauces. The tteokbokki was very good, with cheese melted into the sauce and perfectly chewy rice cakes. I really enjoyed eating here and will probably return soon!

Google
Amazing place! It is good for lunch or snack time. Mandu is very delicious and authentic. Love the spacious dining area and clean vibe. Will definitely visit again!

Google
This place seems a bit underrated! The restaurant didn't have many people there on a Saturday afternoon, but I was thoroughly pleased by the food. My friend and I ordered the rose tteokbokki and the mandu sampler, and we enjoyed both dishes! The rose tteokbokki was particularly unique and I loved how creamy and cheesy it was. I'm not in Koreatown often anymore, but I would definitely consider returning here for whenever I do visit ktown again. The prices are very reasonable and the food is good! Very convenient for a party of two.

Eunice L.

Yelp
The dumplings here taste just like the ones my grandma used to make at home in Korea. The assorted dumplings were all light and flavorful, without exception. The chewy noodles in the spicy cold noodle dish were perfect, and the level of spiciness in the sauce was just right. However, the wonton noodle soup might be better without the lemon. Overall, everything was really delicious!

Sandra O.

Yelp
Listen... CHD's mandus are great. But my love is for their rosé tteokbokki... i am not Korean but this dish feels like home. It's like a hug. It's so comforting and delicious!! A bit on the pricier side but it's completely worth it for me! I wish they sold kimchi as a side, but their pickled radishes accompany the meal well

Sierra M.

Yelp
Everything is very mid and all of the descriptions for their menu items are incorrect. We ordered the Rose Tteok-bokki which says "creamy and mild tteok-bokki with cheese" so we assumed it was ok for vegetarians but it came with cut-up pieces in hot dog in it that wasn't listed anywhere on the menu. We ordered the Bulgogi and Rice with says "rice topped with beef and vegetables", but in fact the dish was 50% rice, 40% glass noodles, and only 10% beef. Very disappointing how little beef was in it. We also got the Kimchi & Bacon Fried Rice which was fine and the Kimchi Mandu which were the best part. We tried it but we probably won't be ordering it again.

Oscar B.

Yelp
I always love a restaurant that focuses on a particular type of food. The mandu sampler allows you to try a variety of crispy and juicy dumplings. The jalapeno mandu and smoky sweet pork mandu were my favorites. The dumplings in the mandu soup were fine but the flavor of this soup itself was delicious. Service was attentive and good. This is a must-try for dumpling lovers.

Tan L.

Yelp
Ive had a lot of rose tteokbokki in my life but this is the best one. The sauce was perfectly thick and creamy. The only note i have is that the cheese comes on top completely unmelted but it melts in when you mix it. There are a lot of ingredients inside like bacon, sausage, glass noodles and rice cakes. I would say its a must order for sure. The dumpling sampler is also perfect!! My favorite one was the smokey pork for sure

Keo N.

Yelp
We had the mixed Mandu sampler, it was interesting and tasty. Korean dumplings are not readily available elsewhere and only in a few places in Korea Town. The mandu soup was fair. The udon tasted like macaroni and cheese which is good. Overall an enjoyable meal and I would return to try other dishes.

Lauren B.

Yelp
Great ambiance music and aesthetic. I love the rose gold plates and utensils, makes it looks so chic and cute. I love that my rose tok is not spicy at all because we can't handle spices. The mandus are a bit oily but it was seasoned well. The servers can be a bit more attentive since we're the only people in the restaurant and they have three servers, but I had to wave my hand and waited for 15 minutes for my check. 4 stars it is!

Shannon L.

Yelp
I was recommended this spot by multiple friends and it did not disappoint. We shared the perilla oil noodles, dumpling soup, and mandu sampler. It was a perfect combination of dishes that represented a wide variety of flavors and textures.

Annie C.

Yelp
The dumplings are crispy and super flavorful here with thin skin. Lots of different types of dumplings are offered, but my personal favorite was the smoked sweet pork and the shrimp (which comes with a whole shrimp wrapped in)! I love that you can order the sampler to try all of the different types. Also tried perilla oil noodles for the first time here, which were fragrant and delicious. The seaweed and sesame seeds added extra texture to the noodles. Eagerly waiting for the next time I can come back!

Doreen T.

Yelp
After a concert nearby at Immanuel church, we were feeling Korean comfort food and so glad Yelp brought us here! They close at 9pm but the kitchen closes at 830PM for last order so plan accordingly. Hubby and I were hungry and we shared: Perilla oil buckwheat noodles with 3 pan fried mandus, order of steam pork dumplings, fried shrimp dumplings, steam red bean bun, steam pork bun, and shrimp wonton noodles. The noodles were soft and delicious! I've never heard of Perilla oil til after watching Culinary Class Wars, and I'm glad I got to taste this deliciousness. I also enjoyed the steam dumplings. Of course our eyes were bigger than our stomachs so we had to take some food home. But not before I managed to squeeze in the red bean steam bun as dessert. It was actually a bit bland so I would prefer their savory items over their sweets. When we had the steam pork bun they next day, ratio of bun to protein was too much. Overall we had a nice dinner here, and they also validate parking.

Sarah K.

Yelp
best rose tteokbokki in LA. i can say that with full confidence!! it comes with cheese on top that is not melted at all which is the only note i have but it melts completely when mixed in. the sauce is done perfectly, creamy and savory yet a little sweet and just goes perfectly with the rice cakes. it has a variety of ingredients, it's not just rice cakes there is sausage and noodles and it's all just coated in a generous amount of sauce. the mandu is also so good!! thin layers of dough and juicy filling. if i had to pick one, he smokey pork is a must try!!

Joshua Z.

Yelp
I like big buns and I cannot lie. God damn the pork buns were insane. You wouldn't think buns at a Korean place, but god damn probably best I've ever had. The chicken Mandu dumplings were the best of the lot. Shrimp also very good. Steamed veggie were a bit weak. The kimchi fried rice was excellent. The bulgogi noodles even better. Surprisingly the Rose rice cakes were only okay even though their signature dish. My significant other wouldn't let me do spicy, so maybe that's why. Great vibes, great prices for LA 10/10 would recommend.

Anna Y.

Yelp
I've been wanting to visit CHD Mandu for a while, given the good reviews! I love anything dumpling-esque and am always hunting down a good spot to try them. My friends and I came here on a Saturday midday, and there was no wait-- we were seated immediately. The service was good too, and the place feels spacious. We ordered the rose tteokbokki, steamed kimchi mandu, and fried pork mandu, which was a perfect portion size for 3 people to share. Everything was so delicious! The tteokbooki was creamy and rich, I loved the noodles and chewy rice cakes, as well as the sausage. The steamed kimchi mandu was also so yummy, the skin was not too thick and the size of each was quite large. Of course, the pork did not disappoint as well! I love the crunch of the fried outside. All of these paired so well with the pickled radish-- I could eat so many of these. The sauces were really good as well, there's a good selection and you can ask for whichever ones you'd like! We got black pepper, lime mayo, and gourmet soy -- all brought out such unique and savory flavors out of the mandu, but black pepper and lime mayo might be my faves! Overall a satisfying and relatively quick dining experience, would love to come back and try their mandu sampler and noodles!

Benson K.

Yelp
I saw a lot of positive reviews of this dumpling, soup, and tteokbokki restaurant in Koreatown, and I decided it was time to give it a shot. My friend was visiting from Ohio, and he loves Korean food, and I wanted to try something new. The restaurant is very small, but the seating is spacious and comfortable. The wait staff is quite attentive. We ended up ordering a mandu and rice cake soup, adding a side of pork mandu for $3. My friend got the smokey sweet pork deep fried mandu. For the sauce, I got the gourmet soy sauce. The food came fairly quickly. We also had complimentary pickles with our meals. I loved the deep fried pork mandu. They were crispy on the outside, and the pork was juicy on the inside. The soy sauce accentuated the flavors of the dumplings. The kimchi dumplings in soup were also amazing, as was the soup itself.

Melinda C.

Yelp
The mild rose tteokbokki was the perfect spice level for me and definitely less spicy than yupdduk mild (my friends and I were dying from that one). Owner was so friendly and seating is good for big groups. I would come back for the mandu. Lots of seating and it's a very large space inside.

Dan P.

Yelp
Rose Tteok-bokki - ordered as original as less spicy. super creamy with decent portion of rice cakes and sausage. did not see that much bacon but can definitely taste its smoky flavor. I really like how this dish is more on the savory side and is not that sweet compared to other places. hands down my favorite place so for Rose Tteok-bokki. Steamed pork - first time trying mandu and these were FILLED with pork filling, hands down the fattest dumpling I've seen. vegetable filling balance the pork well. pretty filling. Steamed Kimchi - not my favorite as this was too sour for me. I thought that the kim chi was too overpowering here, all I could taste was kimchi and I would have liked more of the pork. kimchi was so strong, even the vegetable filling became pickled :') Pork mandu - the crispy wrapping brought so much flavor to this mandu. a bit greasy but was so good my table ordered 2 extra servings. Service was friendly and quick :D Restaurant was located in a building with designated parking plaza; you can park there and bring the ticket here for validation.

Shirley W.

Yelp
This is the shared plaza with Jjukku Jjukku kbbq, honeymee, wako, etc. This restaurant is very clean and not busy at all! Service was quick and easy to order. Although the one thing we both didn't like was how the parking validation only validates 30 mins free parking and $5 for the two hours you are here. So it sounds like you need to order to go to get free parking? $5 is probably considered cheap in LA but that's still very stingy lol. Anyways, we ordered the rose tteokbokki and the mandu platter. We had the mandu first and this was all really delicious! Very flavorful and packed with filling. It does taste pretty oily but luckily they provide radishes to offset the taste. My personal favorite might be the shrimp since it was most flavorful to me. My bf really enjoyed the jalapeño mandu from this platter. Onto the rose tteokbokki, I never had it "rose" style, but this was really good! It was really rich and creamy, it was spicy at first but you do really get used to the spicy level. I loved how soft and chewy the tteokbokki was !! The sausages were also a nice touch and we were surprised it came with these clear wide glass noodles, which was really good as well! I really enjoyed this one much more over the dumplings. The cheese was also a very nice touch. I do wish there were more sausages or noodles here, but overall was still really good.

Kristine O.

Yelp
Solid place for Korean comfort food! We ordered the rose tteokbokki, the smoky sweet mandu, and the shrimp mandu, which was perfect for 2 people! I really liked the tteokbokki and thought it was wonderfully cheesy. I like the little weenie sausages too. I wasn't a fan of the bacon though, they leave it in strips so it gets super soggy in the sauce, and becomes super chewy. Visually, it's kind of unappetizing and we were kind of eating around it. The mandus were ok. The smoky sweet one kind of reminded me of a meatball filling and wasn't super memorable. I wish the shrimp one had a stronger shrimp flavor, since the other fillings kind of dilute it. I also feel like they could have a better, crisper fry, but these mandus by themselves are pretty filling. Overall, CHD was pretty empty on a weekday, so service was quick and the place is pretty spotless. I would definitely come back if I was in the mood for dumplings and tteokbokki! There's an underground garage for easy parking, but it costs $5 for 3 hours.

Ari G.

Yelp
Delicious!!! Not a single complaint. All of them were fantastic. My favorite were the shrimp. I didn't have to wait to order, it wasnt too busy. Worth the commute.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
nice little modern Korean restaurant in ktown - obviously they specialize in mandu (dumplings) given their name however these weren't the best ive ever had. ~ mandu sampler: came with 5 different types of mandu, all were decent, a little oily and not as crispy as i prefer but still yummy. my favorite was the smoky pork. good to share and if you wanna try everything for the first time ~ rosè tteokbokki: my first time having the rosè version, and was surprisingly impressed! the flavor was heavily tomato inspired but i really enjoyed it, i would get this again. also leftovers were still delicious. these 2 dishes filled two of us easily, and were super shareable, with plenty of leftovers. parking is normal in ktown, you might need to scour the streets for a while before you find a spot but there was no wait on a Saturday afternoon. service wasnt the best, but i would still come back for the rice cakes

Kelly L.

Yelp
Went with a group of 5 on Saturday for lunch. No wait but was still busy. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share & we all loved it! Ordered the perfect amount of food to fill everyone. We ordered the Fried Pork Mandu, Steamed Mandu Plate, Rose Tteok-bokki, Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup, Bulgogi & Rice, and Bulgogi Fried Noodles. Favorites include Fried Pork Mandu, Rose Tteok-bokki, and Bulgogi Fried Noodles. Least favorite was the steamed kimchi mandu from the steamed plate. I would highly recommend and come again! Parking: 2 hour parking for $5 with validation. I was lucky enough to find street parking nearby.

Brenda L.

Yelp
One of the most satisfying meals I've had in a long time! We went to CHD Mandu LA looking to try something new and with a strong craving for spicy rice cakes, and ended up finding this spot on Yelp! We visited on a Monday for lunch and were the first customers to come in. We parked at the attached garage and luckily had our parking completely validated, though I'm not too familiar with how much they validate for or how much parking normally is otherwise. FOOD: + Rose Tteokbokki (4/5): We got the original version but I really wished we got the spicy, since it wasn't spicy at all! The rose flavor was light, for some reason the sauce reminded me of a chowder lol. The tteokbokki was chewy and delicious, plus there's bacon bits and sausages in this too! + Spicy Cold Noodles (5/5): SO good! The noodles here are on the chewier side but I enjoyed it regardless. The sauce was probably a 6/10 on the spice level. + Shrimp Mandu (5/5): ALSO SO GOOD! We got this per recommendation by our server. It's a mix of shrimp, pork, and chicken - the mixture was super well balanced and the mandu exterior was nice and crispy! PS restrooms are super clean so that was a nice plus lol. Service was quick and friendly, don't forget to try the side of radish too! :P

Audrey F.

Yelp
CHD is a must try in Koreatown! They have so much going for them: a parking lot beneath them (must do valet at least when I went on a weekend night), cute and spacious interior, friendly service, amazing food, and frozen mandu to go. My friend and I got their grilled mandu sampler, steamed mandu sampler, and iced kimchi noodles. Everything was so good and I'd recommend the grilled mandu sampler to anyone trying this spot for the first time. The smoky pork and jalapeño mandu were surprisingly delicious and unlike any other mandu I've tried.

Noe C.

Yelp
CHD Mandu LA is a small Korean restaurant located in the Wilshire side of Koreatown in Los Angeles. The restaurant was clean and somewhat modern, kind of like a banquet hall. We were seated right away and the service was great; they helped us pick our dishes and gave us new water every so often. They have restrooms in the back but parking is a bit hard to find. Overall, the ambiance and service was great. Food We ordered the kimchi mandu, the pork mandu, and the rose tteokkbokki. All mandu come with 6 pieces for $10 and the tteokkbokki was $15. The portions were pretty decent for the price; the mandu were large and very juicy. They came out hot with a slight crunch and were very flavorful. The tteokkbokki was also great and was a great portion for sharing. It wasn't too spicy and the sauce paired nicely with the mandu. Overall, we loved the food and recommend this place if you're in the area. Overall The ambiance + service: 5/5 The food: 4.5/5 The price: $$

Prem D.

Yelp
We actually want to try the BCD tofu house, but have a wait time of more than an hour. We found this one in the korea town and had vegetarian options. Ambiance was normal, and there was one person servicing, cleaning, and taking orders. There's not much crowd, though. We ordered Grilled veggie Mandu Steamed veggie mandu Tteok bokki spicy Kimchi fried rice Spicy cold noodle. Service was quick, and all the dishes were good, particularly we liked Tteok bokki the most followed by mandu and so on. Overall, it was a good experience. But nothing was standing out.

Andrew L.

Yelp
Coming in on a Tuesday night at around 7pm, as many of the other reviews said, this is a relatively easier and accessible places with a parking garage located right below, and a very clean restaurant. We had initially ordered To-Go, but we had decided to sit inside when we realized that the restaurant was more on the empty side. When we asked them if we could, they were more than accommodating and actually set up a whole table with water and provided all the different sauces to us without us even asking for it. We had ordered the Mandu sampler, the Rose Tteokbokki, and another order of just the shrimp mandu. Out of the samplers, my favorite had to be the galbi mandu and the shrimp mandu, and would personally go back for just these two again. The others in the samplers were definitely not bad, but not my personal cup of tea. The mandu overall was nice and crispy and full of flavor, and the variety of sauces you can dip them in allow you to really personalize your dumpling to be the most delicious one for yourself. For the Rose Tteokbokki, it tasted very similar in flavor and consistency to a kimchi carbonera I have had at other places. It was not super salty and nice and creamy. My only complaint was that the tteokbokki itself was pretty bland and relied very much on the sauce. I personally would not be getting this one again, but at the very least you should come here for the Mandus!

Katie C.

Yelp
CHD is my favorite spot in ktown for tteokbokki! I love how this place always has ample seating and great customer service. Definitely an underrated Korean food place in LA.

Alyssa L.

Yelp
Gr8 place for some no BS Korean dumplings - very casual and relaxed little restaurant with a good range of Mandu selections and classic Korean staples (kimchi fried rice, Teokbokki and cold noodles) skins on dumplings were all very thin and crispy, but a little oily for me personally - I had to dab some of them with extra tissue lol throw back to Costco pizza dayZ my fave filling was def the pork and kimchi one although I liked the others a lot as well the noodles were just ok - nice perilla seed flavor but could've used more flavor (very one note??) and noodles were a little overcooked for me IG: Spillingthe.beans

Lissa L.

Yelp
The restaurant is sparkling clean. You'll notice it as you walk in - the floor is gleaming, the windows are spotless and as soon as a customer leaves, their table is immediately cleared. As soon as we opened the door, we were shown our table and given waters. We ordered the assorted mandu plate, the rose tteokbokki and the beef bulgogi with rice. It all came out in less than ten minutes! But what impressed us more was how delicious everything was. The mandu was flavorful - get the kimchi ones, those are flavor bombs. The rose tteokbokki was a lovely surprise - it was cheesy without being cloying. Our bill came out to just $49 but the 3 of us were so full. This place gives you so much bang for your buck. I'm so relieved restaurants like this still exist despite these inflationary times. Especially ones whose food taste as good as a hug feels on a winter day.

Michelle Z.

Yelp
An absolute gem for authentic Korean flavors with warm and welcoming service. The staff is super friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. The Mandu Sampler is a standout, offering a variety of perfectly cooked dumplings, each bursting with flavor. The Rose Tteok-bokki is creamy, comforting, and has just the right kick of spice. The Spicy Cold Noodles are refreshing yet pack a punch, perfect for balancing out the meal. With great food and genuinely kind service, this spot is a go-to for a delicious and satisfying meal in Ktown. - IG @michiefoodiediary

James B.

Yelp
As an avid mandu lover, I was pretty excited to try CHD since the Korean spot finally opened up in LA. I tried both the steam and fried mandu. Both were very delicious! I did like that the skin was pretty thin yet held its shape pretty well. I got the mandu sampler and I enjoyed all of them. Service: Could use some improvement. Some of these younger employees don't know how to provide good service.

Yoomie Y.

Yelp
Great spot if you like Korean dumplings and spicy rice cakes. It's really roomy in there. I like their community table they have so you can sit with random strangers! We got the rose rice cakes, kimchi fried rice, spicy noodles, steam dumplings and the dumpling sampler. I didn't like the spicy noodles, it was overcooked and the sauce was too sweet for my liking.

Yelp
My goodness. CHD Mandu is such an amazing place to grab tteok-bokki. It's literally everything. The texture of the rice cake, to the sauce of the tteokbokki, it's heaven. Even better, you'll find sausages and noodles in the tteokbokki! Double win. Their mandus (Korean dumplings) are the star of the show though. Make sure you get the sampler as every single one of them is delicious. Parking can get pretty rough here, so prepare to drive around a couple of times before finding parking.

Yelp
The rose tteokboki is creamy, cheesy and delicious - with sausage, wide glass noodles and lots of rice cake! You can add dumplings for $3 so we got the pork fried mandu! Perilla noodles are a must - very light but flavorful. Interior is clean with lots of seating. Parking validated up to $1 - after that you pay $3-5.

Yelp
I was honestly very impressed with every dish we ordered. Mandu has never been a craving, but the fried version sampler (14.99) that CHD provided was perfectly crispy and flavorful. You get 10 pieces all with the perfect crunch. Though I would come back specifically for the non-dumpling items. The space is spacious, modern, clean and bright. The energy made me just happy to be there. The buckwheat cold noodle (13.99) looks very basic, but it had a balanced flavor that was dynamic and more complex that just using soba broth. I enjoyed this a lot and surprised by the perfectly cooked noodles. The perilla oil worked well with the soy and it wasn't too salty. Thought this was great. The rose Tteokbokki (14.99) is so creamy, perfect chew and includes some bits of fish cake. My partner wanted his own dish, he loved it so much especially with the cheese. We're definitely ordering this again. The spicy cold noodle (13.99) was also great, nice kick and good flavor. The wonton noodle (14.99) was interesting, a lot of citrus and was very refreshing. It was different from what I was expecting, but had nice pieces of shrimp. The Steamed mandu plate (9.99) were okay, ironically my least favorite dish. The skin was a bit thin and you get only 6 pieces. They were honestly very standard and not as memorable as the other dishes. Love it. We always walked passed, but never got a chance to try it. Glad we did and we were all very surprised by how good it was.

Yelp
While visiting ktown we were craving fried mandu so we found CHD. They have a good variety of mandu, we got a mixed plate and subbed chili mandu for more kimchi. Mandu were all crispy outside and juicy inside. The rose tteokbokki was more food than we expected with vienna sausage, bacon, and as many rice cakes as they could fit in one dish. Overall extremely satisfying, service was great and the vibe inside is casual with a clean and simple aesthetic.

Yelp
Their mandu sampler is a must. Variety of dumplings including galbi, shrimp, kimchi, etc. I was pleasantly surprised at how good the mandu was, and I'm not even a big mandu fan. I was so impressed I got an order to go so I could bring it to my Mom, and she loved it as well. Besides the mandu, we got the cold kimchi noodles. The portion was fairly big, and it hit the spot on a hot day. The other dish we got, the spicy cold noodles (jjolmyun) was a bit of a miss, too salty and not enough flavor. It's really hard to find a good jjolmyun place, even in Ktown, and I will have to still keep on looking for that one. Otherwise, nice space inside, and the service was attentive. It is quick meal, with an efficient ordering and paying system. Recommend if you're in the area and you want some K style mandu.

Yelp
Really great spot for some Korean staples. The interior is minimally modern and clean. I love the long concrete table that stands in the middle of the space for communal seating. There are booths and standard tables along the walls as well. The food was great and I actually can't wait to come back and have more of what I loved... which is: 1. Fried mandu. Get the sampler. My favorites are the shrimp and jalapeno. Non standard, but they were so delicious. They fry the mandus so well - the outside is so crisp and the inside is fully packed with a generous portion of filling. 2. Perilla buckwheat noodle. This is such a simple dish, but the perilla flavor was spot on and there was a hint of sweetness that brought out the flavor even more. The noodles are topped with a generous heaping of seaweed. The portion is huge and could be split into two different meals. The noodles themselves are cooked to just the right tenderness. Would definitely order again. 3. Cold kimchi noodles. The bowl is GIANT. It's actually deceivingly huge. The broth is delicious, noodles are very chewy, and the kimchi doesn't actually make it too spicy. For two, we ordered the steamed mandu sampler, the fried mandu sampler, and the 2 noodle dishes. Both of us were extremely full and had leftovers to take home. PRO TIP: if you order an entree, you can add 3 mandus to your order for $3. This is a much better deal than ordering one order of 6 mandus for $9.99. And you can pick the type of mandu you want too! I recommend going this route for best value.

Yelp
I have seen so much hype about this spot and knew I should give it a try when I had a craving for tteokbokki. My friend doesn't eat pork, so choosing from the menu was really easy. There is only a chicken or veggie alternative for mandu, and the tteokbokki has vegetarian-friendly options too! KEEP IN MIND: The kimchi mandu has pork in it! The Chicken Mandu was really good! They were very big, juicy, and flavorful! I highly recommend getting the lime mayo with it. Unique and contrasted the flavors of the dumplings well. We also shared the Rose Tteokbokki (with sausages on the side, no bacon) and the sauce was SO THICK! It clung onto each rice cake very well. They have noodes and cheese in this, so it was overall simple but delicious!

Yelp
Overall: I came here looking for hungover (though I don't drink) vibes Korean food like tteokboki, jeon, fried rice and the purpose was achieved. We ordered 1 hour before they closed with the intention of picking up our food and going home to eat while watching physical 100 (iykyk) The food? Amazing. We got rose tteokboki and kimchi fried rice. Fantastic. . Cannot say more about it. If you're looking for fine dining, this is not your place. But if you're looking for that kdrama kimchi fried rice, this place is THAT GIRL. I cannot speak to the service or ambience because we did take-out. But heads up! The parking situation is rough. There were cars parked in the middle divider of the road, literally not a parking spot to be seen, and I would love to donate to the parking spot societies to increase parking spots in front of this place so I can continue eating here. 5/5 would go again and plan on going again!

Yelp
Food was good overall but they give out single-use plastic containers each time we requested sauce and pickled radish. This is so unnecessary and causes too much plastic waste! I probably won't go back for this reason.

Yelp
Visited on a early Saturday evening and there was plenty of space and seating, so it was comfortable. We really enjoyed the food-- especially the rose tteokbokki (highly recommend)! It was slightly pricey but overall super good experience and would come again for a casual meal.

Yelp
Rice cake and the dumpling sampler. It comes with radish and soy sauce. It was spacious inside, plenty of room - went on a weekday mid-afternoon so service was very quick. Honestly the food was not bad but not good - pretty mediocre, the rice cake was better than the dumpling, it had more flavor. They're known for their dumplings but I don't think I would come back for the dumplings, would rather get the frozen dumplings from H mart. They lacked stuffings, pretty dry inside, and when we had the first bite we expected it to be crispy but it was more on the soggy end.

Yelp
One of the best toppokis I've ever had. Make sure to get the rose. They put rice noodles and makes all the difference. Shrimp mandu is a must too.

Yelp
I don't go to Koreatown as often as I did in college, but I feel like I've been to a lot of the kbbq spots, so I wanted to try something new. CHD seemed like just the kind of food I was looking for. My fiancé and I ordered the mandu sampler and the tteokbokki to have some variety. Honestly every type of mandu I had was so good. Definitely not the healthiest meal, but ah it was so tasty! The tteokbokki hit the spot as well. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
A unique scenario where the food was great but the ambiance was off?! Loved the cold buckwheat noodles and kimchi mandu! Service was great yet slightly awkward due to the layout of the restaurant! Looking forward to coming back

Yelp
My classmates and I found this place on a whim and I will definitely be coming back! the spicy pork mandu is my new favorite thing at the moment. The amount of filling and spice in there is perfect. They offer a lot of sauces so there's lots to choose from.

Yelp
It was my first time back at CHD in a long time and wanted to try it with fresh eyes... FLAVOR (5/5): 1. STEAMED KIMCHI MANDU: Yummy! Super flavorful and couldn't get enough. The dumplings come with soy sauce (at least I think it's soy sauce) and pickled radishes. 2. PORK MANDU: Their fried menu is the best, in my opinion. Perfect ratio of filling to skin... and of course, the filling tasted amazing. 3. TTEOKBOKKI: Their tteokbokki was good (and spicy, which was perfect for me). The fried crisps at the top added a nice texture and paired well with the chewy rice cakes. SERVICE (4.5/5): Service was good! AMBIENCE (4/5): Cute spot! Good for casual dinner or lunch. PARKING (2/5): Underground parking. CHD validates, but the rates vary depending on whether it's a weekday or weekend and I think they mentioned something about evenings... the sign is confusing. I didn't stay that long but I think I still had to pay. TAKEAWAYS: Would definitely come back again for the mandu... can't get enough! I also want to try their kimchi fried rice.

Yelp
This place is amazing! I have to say the rose tteokbokki was my favorite. so creamy and flavorful! the dumplings also had a nice crunch because of the golden skin! The staff were so attentive which I truly appreciated as well.
