Chapel Bar

Chapel bar has a unique atmosphere and used to have great cocktails. However, last time we went the menu felt uninspired, much too summery for fall/winter season and the execution was mediocre. Since we didn’t want to have more than one fruity summer drink, the bar keeper either didn’t want to or wasn’t able to provide alternative off-menu drink options. It’s still a decent bar in a unique setting. However, the value-for-money ratio is leaning more on the tourist-trap end than established bar.

Very cool bar and atmosphere. I had a wonderful cocktail. They also have a very cool private snug/room. Ask about a private party.

This place is a fantastic cocktail bar! 🍸 Chapel Bar (located inside an actual chapel 💒 ) serves a wonderful selection of cocktails 🍹 inside a beautifully decorated 🛋️ space! Definitely try The Crypt ⚰️ cocktail 🥃 (it's super sweet and comes with slices of strawberry 🍓 on top) The ambience 🎶 is great, staff is friendly, and service is quick. ⏲️ Definitely try making a reservation 🛎️ online 🖥️, but they do accommodate walk-ins🚶when you arrive early. ⏰ I wish I came here earlier!

Ambiance (5/5): what's not to love when you can party inside a church? Ask for the confession booth if you have a small group. Service (5/5): the waitress was attentive and ensured our glasses were always full. Drink (4/5): while the cocktails were good, they didn't wow me at the price tag of $24.

great speakeasy-feeling upscale cocktail bar! the inside is small but beautifully decorated and the waitstaff is phenomenally attentive. we loved their take on the espresso martini and all of their chartreuse cocktails! definitely a must-visit to try at least once.

It is a beautiful place with good drinks and poor service. I was disappointed, but my friend and I were excited to try it. Just coming through the door inquiring about a table with the doorman was full of attitude, which turned me off. We saw our server twice the entire evening; when we ordered our drinks and asked for the bill, which took forever because she went to the M.I.A. We only had ONE drink because the server did not bother to return to the table to check on us or see if we wanted more drinks, which we did. We sat at the table for about an hour and a half with ONE drink. In addition, the hostess was very dismissive when I tried to ask for the bill because we could not reach our server to get the bill. My friend and I found this place beautiful, but the staff's attitude pissed me off to the point of wanting to leave as soon as possible. I had never been to an establishment where everyone had a terrible, dismissive, and rude attitude.

Sophisticated Looking to wow a date or family member? Feeling accomplished? Or perhaps you’ve decided it’s time to join the upper echelons of society? If so, then a stop at this bar is a must. The entrance is private and unassuming, meaning most walk straight past. Inside, not a single detail has been missed. The rafters are decorated, the menus crypt-shaped and the whole place bathed in a subtle and warm candle-light. Most guests keep to themselves, sitting in groups of two to four around circular tables. Some also collect around the bar. The only place where this bar slipped up was the cocktails themselves, which sometimes did not pack the dynamic flavors that the venue warrants. Overall, my visit was excellent. But I would warn the proprietors to keep an eye on their menu, lest they fall into the trap of becoming little more than an Instagram bar. They want to be a destination, I would suggest, not a place on Reels.

Drinks were alright and not worth the price. I got a virgin mojito that was made extremely sour, and my friend didn’t enjoy her Singapore Sling. The ambiance is amazing and this would definitely make for a great, intimate date spot!
