Chicha

"Bustling, loud, rustic, and just a touch “shabby”... Chicha has succeeded in creating an informal authentically South American atmosphere to complement its modern Peruvian cooking. Quality fresh products are ambitiously blended to mouthwatering effect, with dishes such as ceviche of meagre fish and Thüringer Duroc belly of pork with smoked banana featuring on the menu." - Michelin Inspector

Chicha - Review - Neukölln - Berlin - The Infatuation

"There are a few Peruvian restaurants in Berlin, but Chicha is the one we keep going back to. Their brick-and-mortar spot is much livelier than the other, slightly stiff-feeling options around, and with its location between Neukölln and Kreuzberg, it’s great for staying flexible to hop into bars/clubs in either neighborhood. There’s graffiti everywhere (even the bathrooms) and a frequently-changing menu with mainstays like ceviche, pulpo with Andean potato chips, and yuca fries dipped in a creamy, cheesy huancaina sauce. They also serve Berlin’s best pisco drinks, like the traditional pisco sour, but we like the rum-and-coconut water colada served in a coconut." - Barbara Woolsey

10 Purple Cocktails in NYC

"At Chicha Cafetín I had the Bluefields Swizzle, a tropical, mellow purple swizzle made with four rums, banana liqueur, coconut oil, lime and a floater of butterfly-pea-flower tea, garnished with mint and a white-and-purple paper umbrella; it fades toward the bottom, looks unlike any cocktail I’d had (more like something from a bubble-tea shop or Indonesian restaurant) and runs about $12." - Chris Crowley

Last-minute Mother’s Day Reservations in NYC

"I think this brand-new, well-designed Nicaraguan joint is ideal for fun moms: the menu spans South American dishes like salteñas, arepas, and baleadas, and there’s an impressive rum-drink list made for drinking and ‘gramming." - Nikita Richardson

Google
we had the pleasure to dine at this wonderful restaurant for a family occasion and I cannot express how god it was with words. Not only the food was insanely good, but the service too. We were welcomed from the kind words of the staff that guided us through what to order , along with some wine recommendations. Highly recommended if you are looking to have a fantastic Perivuan experience in Berlin!!!

Google
Small peruvian restaurant with authentic food. The menu is not extense, however, they serve the most popular peruvian dishes (ceviche, lomo saltado and causa). We got 3 course menu for 30€ (drinks not included) and it didnt dissapointed us. I felt like I was in Lima again. They won Michelin award in 2019 and 2020. Nevertheless, the restaurant is tinny and very very very loud so it was not possible to have any conversation while dinning. The service was okayish. We had to keep reminding them what was missing all the time (not good).

We had a lovely dinner here, very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We ordered the recommended amount of dishes for 2 people- 1 cold 3 warm, which was exactly right as the portions are not too small and not too big. The ceviche was very fresh although a bit spicy for my taste. I would definitely recommend!

Google
We had an 8 course meal here, and it was incredible. The colours, the flavours and the creativity put into each course made this dinner a delightful experience that I won't be forgetting any time soon. Lovely service throughout as well. What else can I say? This place is a gem in Berlin!

Chicha is a gem among Berlin's culinary scene, offering an authentic taste of Peru. My visit was marked by both impressive flavors and outstanding service. While the menu is somewhat limited, the quality of the dishes more than makes up for it. The ceviche dishes were a highlight, bursting with fresh and vibrant flavors that transported me straight to the coast of Peru. The pork belly was equally delightful, cooked to perfection and rich in taste. However, the quinoa dish fell a bit short of expectations and could use some improvement. What truly set the experience apart was the exceptional service provided by Connor and the rest of the staff. Their attentiveness and warmth made us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout our meal. Chicha’s patio is the perfect spot to unwind with a well-crafted cocktail, accompanied by a great playlist that enhances the relaxing ambiance. Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks, Chicha delivers a fantastic dining experience that I would gladly recommend to others.

Google
This restaurant is SO GOOD. Every plate tastes as beautiful as it looks and the menu changes often. The ceviche is always incredible and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere- the walls in the bathroom are made of chalkboard and they have subway tiled walls that they write on with dry erase markers. Don't miss out on the pisco sours and leave enough room for dessert 😋 Edit: have to admit that about a year ago, i thought it was better. The menu has changed a bit

Love this place! Always a pleasure coming back. The pisco sour is a must!

Google
Very tasty food. The dishes are quite small, so beware that you have to get at least two to get full. The quality is amazing, a lot of fresh fish and seafood. The stuff is also very nice and friendly. You have to book in advance!

Yelp
A little bit pricey but very delicious inventive food. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the hefty price tag.

Yelp
The food is great at Chicha. Literally great. Be sure to try the beef, the risotto and of course the ceviches. Their Yuka fries is also very tasty. The cocktails are amazing and the vibe is good.

Yelp
Great chevice in Berlin, where finding some fresh fish is a real challenge. Therefore the prices, slightly above the average for the area but absolutely fair for what you get. Atmosphere is also very nice and relaxing. I've been here once also for a birthday with a bigger group and the service has been super nice.

Yelp
Fantastic ceviche - the Tina dishes were by far our favorite. Good drinks, service and reasonably priced. Casual atmosphere- will def be back

Yelp
The pisco sour and the pisco colada (made with coconut water) are excellent. Very fresh and not too sweet. The ceviche with tuna is really good and they're coming out with more vegetarian options soon.
