"The once elusive Chicken Dog bagel is more accessible than ever as the operation has moved to two days a week, now open Friday and Saturday mornings. Friday orders are pre-order only and picked up next door at Avedano’s while Saturday orders are first come, first serve. This is the best bagel in the neighborhood and casts a worthy submission for best bagel in the city. "Chicken Dog Bagels is still a bagel pop-up favorite, especially as others have gone on to permanent spots. Expect bagels with an almost baguette-like crust and a not-too-dense interior. The cream cheese is made in-house and comes in flavors like chive and scallions, and horseradish and shallot; the bagel dog, meanwhile, makes for a good respite from a plain old bagel and cream cheese.
