13 Restaurants Worth Trying in Downtown Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Unique to Peru, the word “chifa” is used to describe a cuisine that mixes Cantonese fundamentals with Peruvian ingredients and traditions; think Chinese food with a Latin American twist. Items on the menu include Peruvian dishes such ceviche, causa, lomo saltado, and anticuchos (grilled skewers), as well as the most famous chifa dish, chaufa – a fried rice worth writing home about. After dinner, head next door to grab a Pisco sour next door at sister restaurant Tiradito or slide down to the basement to visit Club Pelicano, a speakeasy paying homage to the Parisian Molitor swimming pool of the 1940s." - Daniel Bromberg

Seems like a pretty interesting place. Getting a bar seat is nice as you can see them preparing everything. The service was also really nice as well and seemed quite fast. Though the place seems pretty popular and is a quite packed. The food was pretty interesting too. Some of the stuff was really good. I especially liked the French fries with the sesame aoli. The beef was so really good, as the flavour mixed with the tomatoes really came out. Overall pretty solid.

Google
Genuinely incredible find. I had the Purple Dragon cocktail (9.5/10), the chicken and pineapple sauce dish (9/10), and the corn cake dessert (100000000/10). Some of the best food I’ve ever had, and for dirt cheap. Can’t recommend anything better. Staff was incredibly nice and the seat from the bar was fun and atmospheric. The bartender with arm tattoos and the waitress were both kind and personable, and made some incredible recommendations. The waitress made a recommendation for a drink that ended up not being to my friends taste, and she was quick to offer a replacement on the house. Please stop by if you’re in the area.

We really enjoyed sharing different plates with our teenage daughters. The food is a really interesting mix of traditional Peruvian and Asian influences. The seafood was the perfect texture and perfectly fresh, the sauces were delicious, and the mocktail was gorgeous (I want to come back for a cocktail when I'm not driving!). If you are adverse to spicy flavors, definitely ask for recommendations, but my teenagers were fine with most of the spice, just the octopus sauce was too much for them (my husband and I were thrilled to eat the part they couldn't finish! 😅). The staff was super friendly and professional! I only took off one star for atmosphere because we found the music too loud to be able to talk to each other much, so be forewarned, although many places in Montreal are louder. We're excited to go back again! ❤️

Google
I’d give 6th stars if there is. Lomo saltado was delicious but a bit small size for the price. I do agree the beef quality is much better than average. Jalea mixta was great too. Mojito was refreshing. Enjoyed a lot!

Google
I was looking forward to trying some peruvian chinese food, which I’ve never had before. The dish I would come back for is the Lomo Saltado. The beef was tender, well seasoned and the tomatoes were a great burst of flavour. The other dishes were also fine, just not as memorable as I was hoping it would be. It is a littler on the pricier side and reservations are recommended. We walked in with a party of 4 and got seated at the bar which was pretty fun because you could see the different dishes they prepared.

Google
A delightful fusion of flavors! This restaurant beautifully blends Peruvian cuisine with subtle Chinese influences, creating a unique and flavorful dining experience. The dishes were well-balanced, rich in taste, and the service was warm and attentive Jeremy was a great host and gave us the right advices. A must-try for those who enjoy creative culinary twists

Google
I had a great time at this Peruvian place in Montreal! Honestly, what a gem. The food is made in front of your eyes and the ceviche and tiradito are fresh and full of flavour. All the dishes were fantastic and I found the service to be at a great pace and very friendly. The salmon ceviche was my favourite but honestly you can’t ho wrong with any option!

Google
This is a pretty good fusion restaurant with some standout dishes. For appetizers, we ordered the combo anticuchos, daily cones, and ceviche. The combo anticuchos were excellent—$28 for four skewers, and each type of meat was grilled to perfection with great flavor balance. The grilled mushrooms had a slightly sweet taste, which was an interesting touch. The daily cones, however, were underwhelming. The cones weren’t particularly crispy, and we tried all three flavors, but none of them stood out. The octopus one had a strange taste. The ceviche was absolutely amazing—super fresh, with tender fish and a bright, citrusy kick that made it incredibly refreshing. Definitely a must-order for next time! For the main course, we had the Duckitos. It’s not a traditional Peking duck, but it came with a sweet and spicy dipping sauce, ginger strips, and pickled radish, all of which complemented the dish beautifully. The only downside was that a few pieces of duck weren’t properly deboned, which could be a safety issue. For dessert, we followed our server’s recommendation and got the corn cake. I’m pretty sure it was made fresh to order because we waited at least 10 minutes—but it was worth it. The cake was soft, fragrant, and steaming hot, perfectly paired with ice cream. No one could say no to that. As for drinks, the Marauchita was the better choice—fruitier and more refreshing overall. A solid spot with some real highlights. Would definitely come back for the ceviche and corn cake!

Yelp
What a great experience tonight thank you very much to Nelly and Cooper who actually gave us an excellent service. The food was amazing. The drinks were beyond great. I would refer this place anytime of the week. Peruvian food gave a new taste to my pallet The ambiance was super great, relax super friendly really enjoyed it. I would go there any day of the week again reasonable priced we were four people all had drinks shared some meals and had appetizers for approximately 250.$ tip included

Yelp
Went here for dinner and drinks. The service is super nice here and especially if you live in BRIX because you get a small discount. The ambiance is really nice and it feels like a date night place. Highly recommend to make a reservation beforehand as table seats go by quickly. Overall would highly recommend!

Yelp
Chifa was down the street from our hotel, so the hubby and I decided to pop in for happy hour. We were seated at the bar, which wasn't super comfortable. Minor complaint and wish they were pushed back about 4-6 inches. The pisco sour was $12 during happy hour, delicious, strong, hit the spot, and fulfilled my craving. We then ordered the calamari which was good, though too heavily breaded. The aioli was really good and paired very well with the calamari.
google avatar

Thom W.

Yelp
Good food , decent service. Standard restaurant decor. Hits the spot. If you like Peruvian food this is an elevated experience. Definitely not traditional not even in the chufa sense. This is a spot your should try.
google avatar

Arnaud E.

Yelp
Chinese and Peruvian fusion. That makes for interesting dishes. But it also diminishes the rich flavors of each cuisine rather than marrying them. The atmosphere is nice, a bit loud.

Liam Y.

Yelp
Super interesting flavors from the Peruvian-Chinese fusion, they all worked! Plates are very small, definitely get a few to share. Stand outs were the pork/duck ceviche (!), octopus skewers, Chi Jau Kaï chicken, and fried rice. Everyone who served us was super friendly. Worth a stop.

Aaron B.

Yelp
Super nice place and atmosphere. Food was good, not great. Service was really good but was disappointed when I asked for a table instead of being sat at the bar and still got sat at the bar when the restaurant was pretty much empty.

Yelp
I truly enjoyed my dining experience here during my work trip in Montréal. I would not have chosen this place on my own but my coworker selected this restaurant for dinner and I was content with my food. There was booth seating with a nice mellow vibe for the dining experience. Chifa is a Peruvian that offer a tapas. They were heavy on the seafood options which is usually great for me but I was pushed outside of my comfort zone with my meal. I was pleasantly surprised at how I enjoyed my meal although again I wouldn't have selected them in my own.
google avatar

Esther A.

Yelp
Friendly staff, cool decor, great vibe for a night out. My order of the chow mein, was super delicious and the perfect amount of food.

Yelp
In town for jazz festival and we were finally able to have an early dinner here (it was fully booked last year when we were in town). Since we didn't have reservations we sat at the counter. We ordered the loma saltado and the combo chifero (4 skewers -king mushroom, chicken, beef and suck heart). Both dishes were delicious. Portions are like tapas size as well as the silverware. We'll probably have room for dessert elsewhere but we didn't want any leftovers so we did not over order.

Yelp
Phenomenal food! Outstanding service! First class restaurant. Although more for adults, we brought the kids with us as we were visiting Montreal for the first time and we all had a wonderful time.

Yelp
In Montreal for wedding and was looking for a great place to eat. We sure found it alright. Came into Chifa, our first time to a Peruvian restaurant, a Peruvian Asian fusion style of restaurant, Our awesome waitress explains to us that most people order appetizers to share (usually 2) and two mains to also share. We were hungry and it was happy hour. So we may have went a little crazy, ordering a few of the cones du jour - octopus, shrimp, and beef (octopus absolutely delicious), ceviche chino Latino, general boa, and pollo chi jua Kai. For our main we shared the Chaufa Especial, a delicious fried rice with an omelette on top. Drinks were also on happy hour. We had a great IPA on tap. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or living in Montreal. Top notch atmosphere, delicious food, and an awesome waitstaff. Special shout out to the animated bartender, I will say someone loves his job. (Sorry I forgot photos).

Yelp
Greeted and seated promptly. This is a tapas restaurant. Sat at the bar for dinner. We ordered 2 chilcano drinks, both enjoyable. For dinner we ordered salmon ceviche, scallops, chicken, and stir fried vegetables. These dishes were tasty and flavorful. The music was vibing and was not so loud that you couldn't have a conversation. Staff were pleasant. Seating could have been better but nothing else was available.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice music, food is good, friendly staff, good ambiance. I came here for a weekend getaway, it was a good spot for dinner, would definitely come back again.

Yelp
Another great find in the Rene-Levesque/de Bleury area. I went to their sister restaurant - Tiradito down the street a few years back and remember it being good. Chifa is Peruvian/Chinese fusion vs Peruvian/Japanese at Tiradito. Open very late (2am) so great for late night bite or hanging out for drinks. Food/Drink was excellent - (5/5): All food is tapas style plates and portions are definitely on the smaller side as someone mentioned. Consider it one plate per person or light share for two. - Antichucho de pulpo (octopus) - really good - tender and seasoned nicely with a pepper glaze sauce. - Ceviche Chino/Latino - really good - fresh fish - think mine was halibut and yellowtail, with perfect marination. - Lomo Saltado -pretty good - beef was tender and nice glaze flavour. - Jalapina - was really refreshing and just the right balance. Service was good - servers were friendly and pretty attentive - (4/5) Atmosphere - very cool - darker intimate, small tables or bar sections to eat or drink, vibey music in background with choices for indoor tables, birdcage table for two, bar and outdoor patio. Really nicely decorated with vibey music in the background. Spaced out well and not too loud. - (4.5/5) Overall... definite repeat to try out more items. Recommend for late night snack/drinks.

Yelp
I came here for dinner on a Thursday and was able to get last-minute reservations online 15-30 mins before when I wanted to go later that evening. The vibe is elegant but casual. Most of the seating are barstools (so ladies, dress appropriately). They have a semi-open kitchen concept and you walk right by the wok when you walk in. It's pretty cool, but you could walk out smelling like food too. The food is delicious. I like how they dyed the causa (which is potatoes) with black dye to match their brand. The lomo saltado was amazing, so much flavor and pairs perfectly with rice.

Robert H.

Yelp
We arrived at 5pm, happy hour, and started with two of their custom cocktails.(unique and delightful!)..followed by the 4 skewer starter. The whole menu has "tapas like" selections that would please a wide audience. We asked the waitperson for help and ordered the grilled shrimp , Then finished with the corn bread topped ice cream over chocolate sauce The best dining of our two weeks tour of Eastern Canada... Highly recommended

Fadi A.

Yelp
This is one place you cannot miss when in Montreal! The food and ambiance is outstanding.. You cannot say you visited Montreal without visiting Chifa! Well done guys ! Thank you for a wonderful experience

Yelp
In short. The food was awesome and the service spoiled everything. The woman who greeted us at the door was mostly rude and inattentive to us as customers. She seated made us wait to be seated when there were plenty of seats at the bar. This was ridiculous because we were standing there patiently until she sat us there. She sat us at the end of the bar with a non-functional table lamp such that my fiance had to use her phone to read the menu. The server was so unapologetic about every thing that it was off putting. She at the end of the night asked for additional tips on top of the tips that are included. Immediately advancing to the screen on the credit machine which required us to add additional tip percentage numbers. She then walked away and ask me to hold onto the machine so she could do something else. The screen was in french and it was a sneaky way to get me to pay extra on top of tips that were already included. The nicest part of the service was the guy with glasses that took our orders and brought over our drinks. This is certainly typical story of how the front of the house(servers/host/runners) effects the impression on the back of the house (cooks/food). Simply put that was and will continue to be a poor practice in regards to the tipping. She did nothing that deserved the extra tip as she provided poor service and did not make us feel welcomed. Finally my review about the food. The chefs work there honestly deserve a 4.5/5 for the care they put into the food. I was deeply impressed with the level of care in the execution. The fried shrimps and the grilled octopus were cooked to perfection. I would say I could have had a little less onions sauce in the wok mixed veggies. Outside of that it was an impressive meal. Thank you to the cooks and their execution of an awesome menu.

Yelp
Pro-tip: Only go here if you want to over pay for small portions which are under flavored. Value: 2* Price: 1* Service: 3* Location: 4* A party of 4 of us sat outside. We ordered Chino - Latino, Pollo chi jau kai, siu mai, and the combo chifero. The Chino - Latino should just be called an appetizer and not a main course. The combo chiefro was 4 skewers in total, one each of: chicken, heart, liver, and mushroom. The chicken was the best, but the liver and heart were too, mushroom was meh. They were all in a sweet sauce, pass. Pollo chi jau ka, was good, albeit sweet. The siu mai were great. The waitress said all dishes were made for sharing. Impossible, they were all so small they weren't even enough for a meal. We ordered 2 bowls of rice. They were $4 each....for rice. So, caveat emptor. I would not return.
google avatar

Eugene K.

Yelp
Fantastic food, but service was spotty at best. Probably the best lomo saltado I've ever had. I've never seen it without french fries though. Nonetheless it was excellent. The sauce was fantastic. The meat cut was great. But yeah, the waitresses were definitely not their strong point.
google avatar

Kelly L.

Yelp
Came by with a party of 6 on a Friday night (around 10pm) and it was still very crowded with lots of people enjoying themselves. Luckily for us, there was a table available. We did have a hiccup where our order got lost in the cloud. But after they realized, they were quick to retake our order and rectify things. This restaurant is a peruvian/asian fusion restaurant. Tapas style so we ordered a little bit of everything to try. The stars of the show were the fried rice and their octopus skewers. I was really surprised about the fried rice! It was really flavorful, and the rice was the perfect consistency! The lomo saltado was good. The beef was tender, but a little too strong of a soysauce flavor? If you are looking for late night eats, this is the place to go! GET THE FRIED RICE. You will not be disappointed.
google avatar

Kathy C.

Yelp
The lomo saltado was spectacular. The portion was a bit smaller than I am used to. The flavors and filet texture was 10/10 for me! I would definitely recommend this place. The service was lacking but the food was on point! My friend ordered a lomo saltado and loved it too! My other friend ordered chicharron marino (fried calamari) and absolutely loved it too!
google avatar

Nicki L.

Yelp
Very cool vibe at Chifa! We got in easily at 6pm on a Saturday night - bar seating. 3 plates was plenty for my friend and I to split. The food was tasty and unique. Drinks were spectacular! Pisco sours were spot on! It was fun to watch the bartender do his thing.
google avatar

Eric L.

Yelp
Unique place for Chifa food Purvian and Chinese fusion). Loved the ambiance, service, and uniques dishes. Try the Pisco Sour drink!
google avatar

Manny L.

Yelp
4.5? This place is a 5 all day every day. If you want to see how the magic is made, sit at the bar overlooking the open kitchen. Must have the ceviche and lomo saltado. Veggie from the wok was awesome. Great service and a beautiful decor. Great music to dine. Must go if in Montreal. Great example of Peruvian cuisine!
google avatar

sarah h.

Yelp
Food was very good, clean and fresh. We got right in and didn't have to wait. The food came quickly and the service was very efficient. Nice atmosphere too, you can see the woks in action.
google avatar

Mafalda C.

Yelp
We stumbled in this place because around the corner from our hotel. The hostess was rude, but at least server was nice. It is quite expensive for a tapa place. Everything is spicy. The chilcano was nice. It took so long to get our food - even though it was quite empty.
google avatar

Iyla A.

Yelp
Yummy food Excellent service Very unique dishes Highly recommended Try to sit at the bar and watch the Chef cook if you can

Diantha M.

Yelp
Food was delicious. A cross between Peruvian and Asian dishes. Cocktails were delicious. Service was slow.
google avatar

Geri C.

Yelp
. We came to this restaurant right by our hotel to get a taste of the Peruvian interpretation of Chinese food. From our cozy booth in the airy, beautifully-appointed dining room with high ceiling we watched the bartender masterfully mixing signature cocktails and chefs crafting various dishes behind the long bar counter. Our meal started with refreshing pisco sour, Pinot Gris, and Regia colheita. The pulpo was well grilled and tender. The superbly fresh sea bass ceviche was the standout. The lomo Saltado filet mignon was succulent and the chicken chi jay kai was equally flavorful and tender. The shrimp fried rice and the fresh, vibrant-colored market vegetables nicely complemented the proteins. Service was very attentive. Overall it was an excellent dinner.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to dining here because I love Peruvian fusion and this one looked really cool. Some colleagues and I popped in after work for a late night bite- it was really busy so they sat us at the bar. No one really paid attention to us and we had to grab someone's attention to order. While the food was tasty, they completely forgot about my colleagues order and when we asked about it they didn't even seem to care AT ALL. My colleague and I had already finished eating (she told us to go ahead and not wait) and when we asked they said it never got punched in so we said ok we will just go then and they didn't apologize, didn't even try to make it better so I thought that was super rude. Because of that idk if I would go back.. also my lychee mock tail was pure syrup -__-
google avatar

Joe C.

Yelp
This is a Peruvian/Chinese fusion place, and they make a very nice fusion here indeed. I sat at the bar and had outstanding service (bartenders tend to give better service in my experience) and she had great recommendations for food and drink. I'd HIGHLY recommend the Combo Chifero. All of the skewers were very different yet very tasty. I will be back.
google avatar

Lawrie S.

Yelp
I've previously been to Tiradito next door and loved it so I jumped at the chance to try some more Peruvian food! The decor is very chic and I love the way the booths are set up which allows for a lot of privacy. Their drinks were very good, we tried the pisco sour which came super foam and the Chifadito which was my favourite. Not too sweet and strong enough! There were many more cocktail options that looked great as well, all priced around $14. The food was amazing and very well done. Each of the brochettes that came in the combo chifero had an amazing glaze to top it off. Although I was hesitant to try the beef tongue it was a great experience. We also tried the weekly special called the causa that was super refreshing and unlike anything I've had before. I also recommend the chino-latino ceviche, super well done with some amazing leche de tiger marinade that I could order again and again. We ended with the chaufa de mariscos and the lomo saltado that came with some nice juicy filet mignon. We finished off the night with picarones dessert that came in a sweet sauce with a nice orange taste, great for sharing. Would recommend for a fancier night out. The portions seem small but are quite filling especially the items from the wok that come accompanied with rice.

Nila B.

Yelp
Really liked the food, ambience, and the service!! We were visiting Montréal for four days and this was by far one of the best dinner places! The drinks were also very good! Reco Chifa if you would like to have fresh Peruvian food! We tried salmon and shrimp appetizer, fried rice, catch of the day and crispy chicken and all of them were delish!!

Katherine D.

Yelp
Wonderfully unique restaurant! Walked in on a whim to get a cocktail while waiting for a friend. Service was helpful and quick! The two cocktails were carefully crafted (watched him make them as I sat at the bar), and my ceviche was beautifully made (could also watch her make it). Super fun vibe but also posh. Highly recommend!

Yelp

Yelp
This place has a great ambiance and yummy bites! The entrees are a little smaller but great for sharing a few different things to try! The fried chicken (Pollo Chi Jau Kai) was so tender and juicy and the fried rice (Arroz Chaufa Especial) was flavorful. We also got the steak bites (Lomo Saltado) which was good and very sweet with the sauce. Would definitely come back here :) great for a date night or any occasion.

Yelp
Chifa (Peruvian-Chinese fusion) is a new addition as a sister site to Tiradito (Peruvian-Japanese-Nikkei). Minutes away from Pelicano and Tiradito, the interiors of this place are warm and inviting- yet intimate. With booths available and bar seats. The staff is very friendly and engaging which is something that stood out about this place. I made reservations through OpenTable that seated us at the bar. I recommend calling the resto and requesting a booth because things get crowded on bar counters when you order 4 + dishes to share. The turnover from ordering time to getting the dish is quick- with 0 wait time pretty much. The menu has a lot of options starting at 12-15$ range but adds up quickly. I ordered the ho lee fried fish (a battered boneless fried fish with a sweet and sour sauce as the bed and a mayo styled sauce served on top of the fish)-this was my favourite. We also tried the calamari with snow peas in a soy sauce concoction (2nd fave). Both of these dishes came with a bowl of white rice. The Asian salad was very refreshing and filling with citrus notes, nectarine, cashews and rice noodles. The last dish: tamarind eggplant was heavy on the Tamarind- took away from the dish. We also ordered a bottle of red wine for around 50$. So we paid 62$ pp minus tip for 2 people. As much as I enjoyed the ambience, none of the dishes I had stood out as really original to me (comparing to Tiradito - I enjoyed the items a lot more in the same price bracket). Maybe another visit will change my thoughts? Peking duck dish for 2 ppl for 45$ still spikes my curiosity

Yelp
Two of my girlfriends and I decided to check this place out on a Friday evening for our ritualistic girls night and we couldn't have been happier with out selection. The food, first and foremost, was really really good! We ordered a few dishes to share including their oriental salad, the fried 5 spice chicken, the duck ceviche, and the fried ravioli. The ceviche and ravioli were exceptionally memorable, with great flavour and texture; the black bean sauce on the fried 5 spice chicken was finger looking good too! The mains impressed us so much we ordered dessert; friend sweet potato donuts in a sugar cane syrup with Mochi ice cream. Definitely an interesting combination but also a great light dessert to wrap up our meal. My only complaint would be the size of the plates; although the sharing portions were great, our individual plates, although looked stilish, weren't very practical as they could only hold a bite at a time. They also ran out the seafood ceviche but was glad since the duck ceviche was outstanding! The service was a little on the slow side when we first got seated seeing it took a while before someone came to see us to take our order; at this point we were well into our wine bottle. However, once the food started coming, the wait staff took care of ensuring our glasses and bellies were always full. I especially enjoyed the fact that we didn't feel rushed and had the time to enjoy our meal. The resto was busy with a cool interior and great atmosphere; this resto will surely be a nice new addition to the food scene once it irons out a few kinks!

Yelp
Chifa is an excellent spot for a quiet night or a nice date spot if good ambience is your thing. The staff are very polite, quite knowledgeable, and very friendly. I have come here a fair number of times now, and my service is always very fast. Drinks: good selection and you can of course order off menu as they have proper mixologists. Food: excellent. I love their Peruvian-Chinese fusion style. If you enjoy any of the above stated cuisines, you can't really go wrong; the lomo saltado is excellent and you should experience it at least once. I don't agree with the prior review that gave this place one star as I have not had a similar experience whatsoever in over 5+ visits. Decor: great mix of booths, bar seating, and window seating. The decor is excellent, and the candles / lights over the bar make for a great atmosphere. If you're looking for a new date spot, check out Chifa!

Yelp
Remarkably good. Every dish we tried was delectable - the Latin-Asian fusion made for memorable delights. The service was superb - we will be running back for more!

Chifa is, frankly, the most exciting culinary experience I have had in Montreal. The flavours, the wines, the textures, the genre-bending leaps of fancy are, frankly, stunning. This from someone who used to live in Manhattan. Trust me, and your taste buds, to head of operations Nellly (with s K)... you will discover flavours you never dreamed existed. The charcoal infused oil mushrooms are a home run. Every course is a new and exciting.l experience. Please, go there. Give yourself up to their tender ministrations. You will thank me. Really. I'm blown away.

Yelp
Food was amazing, I'm from NY, and this is probably my favorite Peruvian restaurant to eat not including the rotisserie chicken which pio pio in NY IS FAV.

Yelp
A refaire.

Yelp
On a late Sunday afternoon we initially passed by Chifa unsure if we were that hungry but with feet telling us to take a seat somewhere and have a cocktail, we circled back to Chifa. Needing relief from the heat we opted for indoor dining and it made a huge difference in our experience with music and kitchen fragrances. The menu has a variety of offerings for a Latin Asian fusion. Although the bruschetta medley is a solid choice for appetizer, we weren't as keen to have veal tongue and duck hearts instead opting for the salmon slices in a passion fruit wassabi hollandaise. The only thing that would have improved this would have been an equal number of salmon crisps to salmon. We rate this appetizer 5/5. We also enjoyed a white wine sangria that hit the spot. Our main was the pollo chi jay kai: Crispy chicken, Shimiji mushrooms and crispy rice which was absolutely fabulous! 5/5! Our server Vincent was absolutely wonderful and even went to the chef to inquire about how the homemade hollandaise was made. We will recommend Chifa far and wide!

Yelp
Ate here twice. Service was great. Food was alright, kind of expensive for the size portions though.

Yelp
We were here 2 months ago. Very cool ambiance. Great date place. Super friendly staff but hard to get staff's attention. Would have wished that a server spent more time with us to give suggestions. Very small menu and we didn't know what anything was. Needed explaining. We ended up following Yelp photos to help us decide. Had the Tacitos Chino Latino for 2 which wasn't even on the menu. That, some kind of spring roll (which was yummy), and 2 drinks, plus tax and tip was $100. Can't say we ate a lot... at all. Kind of pricey for a light dinner. We would come back in hopes that a server would have more time to explain the menu.

Yelp
Great food! I had the combo chifera, which was delicious! It was very busy and took a long while to get a table- no one's fault just really busy and poor timing on our part.
