"Unlike Chin Chin’s OG joint in Camden, their Soho spot has more of a shiny sit-down feel than a market grab-and-go situation. Their Greek Street outlet also has additional flavours like coffee with olive oil, as well as more ice cream sandwiches and toppings to choose from. We’re big fans of the burnt caramel topped with ‘crack’—a molten chocolate shell—but it’s also worth trying their weekly specials." - heidi lauth beasley, rianne shlebak, sinead cranna, daisy meager

"Ever wondered what would happen if someone took a tiramisù and turned it into an ice cream sundae? Wonder no longer: Chin Chin Labs has cracked it in its Soho parlour. A cocoa-dusted scoop of the dense, almost chewy coffee and olive oil ice cream sits atop a cloud of whipped mascarpone, with structural support lent by an espresso-soaked brownie cookie. Brain-freeze is inevitable, but a price worth paying." - Emma Hughes

Dislocation doesn’t have a lot of of the options that you see on their Instagram. Wish I would’ve known that before I arrived. I got the vegan half baked chocolate chip cookie with ice cream on top and to be honest it was really good. It was very sweet and gooey. I liked that a lot. I also got a strawberry iced Matcha with oat milk. It was good nothing that blew my socks off.

After dinner my daughter wanted something sweet so I found an ice cream shop with a funny name nearby. The show was pretty empty so we could order fast and enjoy our ice cream slowly. It’s definitely nice though we do need to look for better combinations. We were a bit overwhelmed with the choices when we got there. Next time we visit London we will definitely try the ice cream here again.

Absolutely delicious dessert. Went mid-day on a chilly Saturday with my younger sister and grabbed a cookie dough and their signature marshmallow fluff hot chocolate, both were extremely delicious and well worth their price to portion ratio. What was even better was the stand out customer service from the team there, Frank, Zaak & Yolanda. (Special shout out to Frank for being extra patient while guiding me through the best options on the menu) overall if your looking for well priced filling desserts with even better customer service then this is the place to try :)

If you are what you eat, then call me grilled white chocolate. With a dash of tonic bean and burnt butter caramel with marshmallow fluff for good measure. A must for me when I'm in London.

After seeing several Instagram reels about this place, I couldn't resist and decided to check it out myself and see what all the fuss was about. So, it is a cute dessert spot that's vegan-friendly, which is awesome if you're into that. It's got this cosy vibe with different seating options like tables, chairs, and even a little staircase area. Perfect for just chilling out and treating yourself. Now, let's talk about their hot chocolate ☕️ —it's good and thick, but it's got a bit of a bitter kick, so if you like sweet hot chocolate (ike most people😉), maybe go for something else or add their signature: Marshmellow fluff - they pile on these fluffy marshmallows, and toast 'em up , which adds a nice touch and a bit of sweetness. But the real star of the show 🍪 is their hot cookie dough topped with ice cream. Seriously, it's like heaven in a bowl. And you can pick your ice cream flavour 😋 I have tried the tiramisu ice cream Sundae and it was really good! It seemed like everything there is tasty and good and you can’t get wrong with your order. Price-wise, it's not gonna break the bank, which is always a win. Overall, it's just a chill spot to hang out with friends or even just by yourself, and the desserts are totally worth it. So yeah, if you're in the mood for something sweet, definitely give this place a try!

Google
We visited for a pre-theatre snack and weren't disappointed, we went for their marshmallow topped hot chocolate and ice cream. Honestly, the hot chocolate is not the star of the show here. It's overly sweet. Go for the ice cream and cookie dough. And this won't break the bank either, one of our highlights of our time in London

Google
Terrible ice cream at terrible prices! Totally flavourless overpriced gunk, honestly it was awful! The sticky toffee pudding was straight out of a plastic packet and in to the microwave and the strawberry ice cream tasted of absolutely nothing. And all at a premium price. Staff were nice enough but that's it. Do Not Visit!

Google
Wow, blown away by how good this place is. Ice cream was incredible, I had the Marshmallow waffle cup, with burnt butter caramel ice cream and toasted white chocolate. Thought it was extremely good value for money considering the quality. Staff lovely too. Highly recommended

Yelp
I can only speak of the vegan hot chocolate with the toasted marshmallow added on top. I know - what an opposite end mix but trying TTYT vegan thing but couldn't pass up some toasted marshmallow!! So, all the hype is real - the marshmallow on top is huge. I actually wish it was just a bit more toasted for my liking. The vegan hot chocolate tasted almost like pure chocolate (for all I know - it was). It's not a huge cup, but I still couldn't finish the last little bit. Like I mentioned, delicious, but I can only handle so much sweet in one go. It's not too big inside, with limited seating, but aren't all the best places like that? The pastry items looked divine as well. I would definitely go back to try other menu items. Props on the vegan offerings!

Yelp
Great hot chocolate with the fluffiest marshmallow. I am not usually a hot drink girl but this was great. They also had a variety of ice cream desserts that blew me away. The matcha tiramisu was lovely. A great post dinner stop for a sweet treat

Yelp
If you are looking for good ice cream with interesting flavors then look no further than Chin Chin. Truly creative. Love the ice cream and the flavors.

Yelp
Fun flavors and toppings and interesting to try. I came and the line was out the door and there is only a few tables to sit at if you need them. I went for burnt butter caramel and it was out and so was the wild blueberry swirl, so not sure if it was an off day or if you should go earlier in the day when things are in stock. So I ended up settling for coffee and olive oil and it was a really strong coffee flavor and I think the olive oil added to the creaminess without throwing off the coffee flavor. We topped it with marshmallow fluff which was more pooling around the sides as they shape the ice cream to be perfectly round. The coffee and marshmallow paired beautifully together without being too sweet. I came back again because I enjoyed it soo much and they did have wild blueberry swirl in stock and I paired that with the grilled white chocolate. I do wish the white chocolate was grated because some of the chunks were really big and hard to break up with the spoon. The flavors of both the topping and ice cream were so rich though. I considered coming back a third time because both combinations were so tasty. I was disappointed by the out of stock the first time, but if you have a few flavors you're willing to try, you won't be disappointed with what you get. The ice cream also comes with a tiny logoed piece of chocolate which is a nice way to finish off the look.

Yelp
If there's good dessert, then my wife will find it. Chin Chin serves up some excellent ice cream. We shared the burnt butter caramel with marshmallow fluff. Exactly how I want my ice cream to be: rich and creamy. Deep flavor with decently long finish for ice cream.

Linda M.

Yelp
Definitely recommending the signature hot chocolate! It is sooooooo good and awesome for photos as well! Hot chocolate was on point and not watered down.

Alice J.

Yelp
A nice ice cream place (always crowded, long queue out the door, but fast service). We could barely find a table and seat. Their lemon meringue is quite something. See my photos.

Yelp
Honestly, my family mainly came here because our last name is Chin and we thought it was funny going to a place called Chin Chin, but this turned out to also be an amazing dessert spot! They have a unique take on ways to serve ice cream and some pretty fun flavors too. I got the halva ice cream in a toasted marshmallow waffle cone bowl topped with a cardamom pistachio crumble. The ice cream was delicious, especially paired with the pistachio. However, I should have known prior to that the marshmallow-cone-bowl-thing would be overwhelmingly sweet for me, but I was so excited about how they torched it right in front of you. Once I ate the toasted bit, the rest of it was sickeningly sweet to the point where I couldn't finish it. Next time, I would probably skip the marshmallow but would definitely recommend checking out Chin Chin nonetheless!

Yelp
This is a small, easily-missable place in Soho but you shouldn't miss it! The desserts here are impeccable and the flavors are so unique--you probably can't find them anywhere else. And where else can you find vegan flavors? A friend tried the lychee and geranium rose cone, another tried the 2 scoops sundae with Burnt Butter Caramel and Coffee and Olive Oil. That came with a free topping, and she chose bee pollen honeycomb. I enjoyed my Killer Cone (toasted marshmallow) of Pandan Leaf (vegan). I was told that's the flavor they were known for and I would get it everyday if I could! It was light, fresh, and delicious, and I love the concept of adding toasted marshmallow to a cone. Will be back the next time in London!

Yelp
The cafe was really small but this location had more on their menu than the one in Camden. I got the chocolate peanut butter ring ding. It was moist and had a good chocolate flavor but I really couldn't taste the peanut butter at all. (3.5/5) My friends ordered the choux pastry and said it was pretty good. The rose and lychee ice cream was really refreshing and light. The hot chocolate was quite thick, making it a little difficult to drink. It was also most marshmallow and too sweet. The pandan ice cream was also light and fresh. I highly recommend coming here for their nitro Ice cream. I'm glad they have so many vegan options!

Yelp
SUCH amazing ice creams and omg the vegan cookie dough is actually to die for!!!! 1000/10!

Veronika L.

Yelp
I went near closing time and couldn't order the Burnt Caramel ice cream . What I tried instead was: (1) Hot Chocolate with toasted marshmallow - deliciously rich and creamy but had a slight burnt taste since they torched the marshmallow (2) Warmies - A warm sticky toffee cake with Tonka ice-cream and salted caramel. I'm not a fan of Tonka so maybe I'll try this with something else next time (3) Choux with avocado ice-cream and olive custard - Avocado ice cream is super creamy (as you'd expect) and feels healthier than normal ice-cream. But is it? This choice is good for avocado-lovers and for those who aren't looking for something too sweet. -- voodie rating: 8/10 £6

Yelp
I got the hot chocolate with the giant torched marshmallow. It's def a beautiful sight but just so impractical as a beverage. It's served to you in a bowl and it is totally covered in the marshmallow so it is just so hard to actually drink. I think the hot chocolate itself was tasty but honestly i have no clue because I was hardly able to taste it. The marshmallow was good tho just very overwhelmingly sweet with not enough hot chocolate to cut it. I would have been happier with half the amount of marshmallow but i guess that would ruin the instagram appeal. The ratio of hot chocolate to marshmallow was just totally out of control.

Yelp
Ice cream made from nitrogen is one of those trendy new foods that people get for the instagram, so naturally I had to try it. This location of Chin Chin is right by Chinatown in Soho. The first time I came by, they were all out of avocado ice cream, so I decided not to get anything as I was set on getting the Avo taco. On the next day, I was able to get the Avo taco. The employees were very nice in letting me try multiple flavors. The coffee ice cream stood out to me the most, but they were almost out of it. The Avo taco was a blue corn tortilla waffle taco filled with avocado ice cream, topped with fresh cream and corn nuts. The corn nuts sounded weird to me at first, but it went well together. Everything was light and fresh, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. The employees took a little long in making my order, so they offered me a free topping. I declined, but I thought it was nice of them. One complaint I have is the price. One scoop of ice cream is a little over 4 pounds. My avo taco was 5.45 pounds. Even for special nitrogen ice cream, this is pretty steep. It was nice to try, but too expensive to come back again.

Katelynd K.

Yelp
I'm not a big hot chocolate fan, but I saw the video of theirs on Facebook and knew I had to try it. I enjoyed the shop and how trendy it was on the inside. The marshmallow on top was wonderful and it was fun to watch them prepare them. I also tried one of the titty cakes which was okay, but I didn't order during my second visit. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is due to limited seating. Also, from what I remember, the marshmallow was torched wonderfully outside but I wish it had been a bit more 'gooey' in the centre.

Sarinya P.

Yelp
My friend and I was looking forward to visit this place. She saw a picture of the hot chocolate on IG. When I first got my hot chocolate, I was so impress how pretty it was...a white little cup of hot chocolate with a massive toasted marshmallow on top. It was very photogenic. The problem start when I try to sip it but I couldn't pass through the marshmallow lol. That marshmallow was so sweet! I had to eat almost half of it to get to taste my hot chocolate which wasn't that hot anymore. The hot chocolate itself was delicious!!! I think if they put it in a bigger cup/ more hot chocolate and a little less marshmallow, I could enjoy it more.

Yelp
We're visiting London and the thought of Ice Cream made with Nitrogen sounded like a really cool eating experience. The dish itself looked exquisite however we were a little disappointed that we didn't get to see them make it, staff not very engaging and there really wasn't anywhere to sit; we ended up sitting outside on the bench. I few improvements would make it a much better experience

Yelp
This place has been on my radar for a while so I knew I was going to find some time to get there while in London. The staff was really nice and didn't hesitate to inform me that they had "the best hit chocolate" in London. Well fortunately that's what I went for! I ordered my hot chocolate with the marshmallow on top, and before I could finish paying my drink was ready. Initially I was stunned and how nice it looked. I didn't even want to mess it up. They put just the right amount of flame to the marshmallow, the chin chin chocolate garnish on top was a nice touch and there was still warm hot chocolate underneath all this. My mouth was watering as I found a place to sit and enjoy this cup of magic. I ate the chocolate off the top and then began to try the marshmallow off the top with a spoon and it was delicious. Finally after making a nice little opening I was able to take a drink of the hot chocolate, and it did not disappoint. It was thick and rich and creamy. It was hot and delicious. I was in heaven. One cup if more than enough chocolate to satisfy anybody's sweet tooth. If you get a chance, to check them out! You'll love it. They also sell other items obviously (cake, pastries, etc) but I only had one thing in mind. Don't miss out!
