This was my first experience here and it was absolutely phenomenal. Each bite was unbelievably savory and delicious. My server Cam was unbelievably helpful and made the best recommendations. Truly making my experience that much more enjoyable. I really greatly enjoyed my dinner here! Very happy I got to try this place once and for all!

It was our first time here at Chinchin, and we were absolutely delighted with both the food and the service. We’ll definitely be coming back and look forward to seeing you all more often! We also want to give a special thank you to Cam for the warm welcome. He made sure we were happy and satisfied throughout our visit. We truly appreciated his attention to detail and the way he goes the extra mile. Team members like him are a real asset to the company.

Cam was our server and was awesome! He gave us a full run down of the menu, it has recently been updated with tons of new items. We went with his recommendation and everything was good. They are very cautious of allergies and were very accommodating. We got the shrimp toast, honey spicy chicken, and the yang chow fried rice.

Been coming here for 20 years, and it’s still amazing. Our most recent visit, there was a whole new menu and everything was delicious! Cam was our server, and he was incredible! So thorough in explaining the menu, his recommendations were spot on, and he just went above and beyond!

I had an outstanding dining experience, thanks in large part to our server, Cam. From the moment we were seated, he was incredibly attentive and very informative—he walked us through the menu with confidence, offered helpful recommendations, and answered all of our questions with ease. His knowledge of the dishes and ingredients truly elevated our experience and made it easy to choose meals we ended up loving. On top of that, Cam was friendly, professional, and ensured we were well taken care of throughout the evening. We’ll definitely be back—and we’ll be asking for Cam!

CAM is an amazing server. He was very helpful and responsive. I love the way he explained all the recommendation menu for us. The food was delicious. As I’m traveling far away from home and missing my hometown food. Here’s a good choice.

The food is exquisite and the staff and service is AMAZING. You cannot make a poor food choice, it is all delicious. Authentic and fresh cuisine. Sadly this location is closing towards the end of the month. Please support them as they leave the area. A plethora of ambiance there is outdoor seating as well as indoor booth seating, tables to accommodate any party. They have been there since 1983. What a loss to the area. Good food,Great Service! You can't go wrong with choosing Chin-Chin! My entire family enjoyed the food. My two grandkids loved, loved, loved the food. They are finicky eaters. They ate it all!

Chin Chin recently announced that this iconic location is closing soon, at the end of July 2025. For all practical purposes, this famous Los Angeles restaurant invented the classic Chinese Chicken Salad, or at the very least made it famous. Some sources say it was Sylvia Wu who created this dish at her long gone restaurant Madame Wu's Garden in Santa Monica for her friend, the actor Cary Grant, in the 1960s or 70s. But no one does a Chinese Chicken Salad like Chin Chin. They have perfected the light and tangy salad dressing (there's nothing like it) and have been making this version since 1983; it's still the best. The restaurant currently has plans to close this Sunset Plaza location in late July and I'll miss it as it has been here for several decades. Lots of free, easy parking in back, nice unpretentious ambiance on the outside patio, heat lamps on cold days and nights with great people and car watching as it's right on Sunset Boulevard. Comfy indoor seating as well. I find the service always to be excellent and they've really upped their game; the food really is as fresh and good as it used to be! They have always made very good dim sum (try the Szechuan Dumplings that come with a savory cilantro sauce) and the menu has grown quite varied and substantial over the years. The lunch specials are an especially good value. I'm currently obsessed with their version of General Tso's chicken. It's really good!

When I think of iconic LA dishes The Chinese Chicken Salad from Chin Chin comes to mind. They are famous for it. It has shredded iceberg lettuce, chicken breast, scallions, carrots, toasted almonds, crispy rice noodles and wonton crisps. The gingery dressing is dream-worthy and those wonton crisps have the most satisfying crunch. I wish they'd make a tofu version for the vegetarians. Service and ambiance are consistently good. However, I also think this is an excellent place to get take-out. Parking here is very easy. There's meters on the street and a lot in the back. I'm so sad to hear that the Chin Chin on Sunset will be closing this summer. This location has been here for many decades and will be missed.

The food was good! We went with Cam's recommendations and they were great. He also explained the menu so well so we were very comfortable with our order. Sad that this location is closing soon but looks like Cam will be moving to one of the other locations.

Randomly chose to have Chin Chin for dinner. Our server Cam gave us a complete rundown of the menu and suggested us what to order since their new exec chef took over. Portions are all family style. We ordered Dan Dan Noodles, Sweet Honey Chicken, Chicken Salad, Chili Wontons and Shrimp Toast. My favorite item here was the Chili Garlic Wontons and Shrimp Toast! Highly recommend those appetizers! The chili wontons are probably the best I've had compared to other Chinese restaurants. I'd skip the salad but it was light! Service was great and I absolutely enjoyed my experience dining here.

This is an ambient place for Chinese/Asian cuisine located in West Hollywood! Made a reservation for dinner for my mom's birthday party and we were seated immediately, on a table with the lazy Susan. Our host, manager, and server Julissa were very attentive and helpful. For appetizers we ordered the garlic chili crisp wontons and chin chins famous Chinese chicken salad. The wontons were juicy and had a good flavor, I would say they're not the super star item on the menu but great for groups because it comes with 10 pieces We frequent the Chin Chin in Las Vegas so we always get the Chinese chicken salad. It was easy to split between 5 people and we asked for extra wontons and rice crunchies to give it that extra texture and kick. Cant go wrong with this and definitely a staple every time we come here! For our mains we ordered the honey walnut shrimp, orange chicken, eggplant tofu, yangs fried rice, green beans, and Mongolian beef. For the honey walnut shrimp I'll say the sauce was light (not heavy) and portion overall is smaller compared to other restaurants I frequent, I'm happy to have tried it but will stick to other items on the menu. Mongolian beef had incredible flavor and will be something I would like to order every single time I go here My family loves the orange chicken and it has great flavor and sauce profile. Very popular with my group. Yangs fried rice comes with pork and shrimp and had no soy sauce. A good dish to entertain the crowd and use for carbs with the mains. Eggplant tofu was good- but I prefer a specific type of texture that wasn't accomplished at this restaurant. But great veggie option for vegetarians and those that want extra vegetables in their meals. Green beans were perfect- loved the garlicky sauce it came with and could eat the whole plate! For dessert my mom got the churros that came with raspberry sauce, chocolate, and caramel sauce. 10/10 so warm crunchy and the sauces were a nice touch This is definitely a go to place for family dinners, luncheons. I've only ever gone in large groups and enjoyed the dinner here. Thanks for a great birthday experience for my family!

The service was excellent! Cam, our waiter, had such good recommendations from the menu and all of them were a hit. He was so nice and helpful! The new Garlic Chili Crisp Wontons were a nice surprise. The food was tasty and so good! I haven't been in a while and it's better than I remembered. Pleasantly impressed!

Honestly nothing special. The food was just fine- for it being a "celeb spot" I'm wondering if celebs don't actually know great food? The shrimp toast we had to start was the highlight. Super flavorful, crisp, and tasty. Everything else was just mall Chinese food. We had chow fun, Mongolian beef, yang chow fried rice, and king pao chicken. Not bad, but not outstanding by any means. The service was attentive. We sat outside and it was loud from muscle cars making a lot of noise showing off. Inside looked intimate but again, nothing special.

I was craving green beans and noodles and felt that the Night Market noodles and Szechuan green beans would hit the spot, but unfortunately these missed the mark. Szechuan is known for its bold flavors and spicy kick, and the green beans were neither of these. They were overall undersalted. They were cooked al dente (with a bite) which I liked, and had a decent garlic flavor. The Night Market noodles also lacked rhe spicy the description claimed and without it, there was nothing to counter balance the sweetness. The vegetables were fresh, and I liked the addition of cilantro and the added texture of crispy shallots and garlic. I wanted to like it, but was unimpressed.

While visiting WeHo, friend was craving dim sum but after striking out multiple times, we ended up here. We did not need a reservation for weekday dinner time. We got the garlic chili crisp wontons, bbq spare ribs, lo mein, crispy spicy honey chicken. I think my favorite dish was the spicy honey chicken and the crispy wontons. Bbq spare ribs were a bit hard to eat. I wish I had gotten the fried rice instead of the lo mein- wasn't as flavorful as I would've wanted. Service was nice. Bill came out to about $160.

First time at Chin Chin and I was thoroughly impressed. The food was great and really enjoyed everything we ordered. We had the Garlic Chili Crisp Wontons and Famous Chinese Chicken Salad as shareable dishes. Then we ordered the Mongolian Beef with White rice and the Dan Dan Spicy Noodles - DO NOT SLEEP ON THESE!!! I think the most impressive part of the night was our server, Cam. He ran through the entire menu with us, gave us recommendations, which all hit, and was on it with the service. If you get him, you're going to be in good hands. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would love to come back here soon.

This restaurant is truly something else. Shoutout to Cam for taking care of us during our experience. He provided excellent customer service and gave great recommendations. We got their famous Chinese chicken salad, bbq pork spare ribs, szechuan dumplings, and their garlic chili crisp wontons. They were all so delicious and flavorful I couldn't tell you my favorite. Thank you Cam for the amazing service and the fire food.

First time having chin chin as it was catered for lunch at work. Loved the orange chicken bento box. It was filled with so much flavor! My ultimate fav was the chicken wonton soup!!! this was my first time but won't be my last!

I found chin chin to be very average in all ways. We went on a weekday night and the place was pretty empty we found street parking out front. The service at chin chin was very mediocre and average. Our server had pretty bland service and sometimes smack the dishes onto the table not sure why. The place is ok looking and was empty inside as people people choose to sit out on the patio. We did order a lot of things but none of the food was anything special. Some items were better than other but pretty much everything across the board was not great but not horrible. Things I recommend: Garlic Chili Crisp Wontons General TSO Chicken With Chicken Breast Crispy Spicy Honey Shrimp Peanut Noodles With Shrimp (This was the best thing we ate) You Can Skip: Szechuan Dumplings Chinese Chicken Salad Mongolian Style Beef Fried Rice Wanted to try the shrimp toast but they were out of it. Most of the food was very average and not sure we would give it another try as the service and food were both mediocre.

Food was delicious and service was great. Also really enjoyed the hot tea they provided and the restaurant had a beautiful environment to enjoy dinner. Check the menu to get the price range. But overall, great place!

Incredible Service at Chin Chin West Hollywood! Had an amazing lunch experience at Chin Chin West Hollywood, and I have to give a special shout-out to Cam for making it truly outstanding. From the moment we arrived, Cam went above and beyond with his customer service. He was welcoming, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. One of my colleagues had never been before, and Cam took the time to walk her through every detail--from popular dishes to ingredient breakdowns--making sure she felt comfortable and excited about the experience. He helped us order the perfect lunch, and everything was delicious. You could really tell he cared about making sure we had a great time. Great food is one thing, but exceptional service like Cam's is what makes a place unforgettable. We'll definitely be back. Thanks again, Cam!

Whenever I come home from a trip, a little bit of a spa treatment and picking up dinner from Chin Chin is always on my list of things to look forward to. I love the traditional Chinese chicken salad and peanut noodles, so yummy, and now I can buy the salad dressing in a bottle! Great team, and they've never gotten my order wrong!

I used to visit this location often many years ago and it brings back great memories but nothing like the memories of how good the food is. It's probably mine and my kids' favorite restaurant ever. We used to always share the Chin Chin Chinese Chicken Salad and the dumplings when they were little. Today I brought a new family member since we were visiting Hollywood and she enjoyed it as much as I hoped she would. We came for lunch and was able to sit outside. The weather was perfect with a beautiful view. I have never received anything except superb service including this visit and the food was as good as I remember. I will not wait so long to come back next time.

It's been two years since I've been to this location. I came here around Covid and fell in love with their fried rice. Simple but delicious. But todayyyy, today was even better. Our server Nectaly recommended the dumplings and let me tell you! 11/10! It was so juicy and flavorful. Maybe my favorite thing on the menu. Even though it's an appetizer. I added some chili oil and bam! It was delicious! I asked for more recommendations and the manager said he loves the Pad Thai, and I can see why. Oh sooo good. My fiancé loves the orange chicken and ribs. We definitely have different cravings, so it worked out. Food portions? VERY GENEROUS. We came on a Sunday- so when we pulled up and seeing how packed it was (1:30), it made us want to dine in. The vibes were top tier. Perfect weather and outdoor seating. My top compliment would be the staff. Everyone was soooo friendly and welcoming. They all were so happy, which means they're being taken good care of. And I love that. The manger Sergio was also so sweet. Great energy and humor.

The food was delicious. Went on a Monday night, so it wasn't crowded and we were able to get a table quickly. The Night Market noodles were fantastic and the tofu was amazing. The peanut noodles with tofu was okay, but I would ask for lots of extra spice personally to maximize the flavor. Great parking behind the building! They also have both indoor and heated outdoor seating if you have a preference.

Service was amazing!! Cam is an amazing server and was very attentive. The atmosphere is also beautiful and cozy. I loved the shrimp toast and wontons. We also got the famous salad, honey chicken, and dan dan noodles. They were not particularly my favorite as I wish they had a little more flavor! Maybe the salad could've used more dressing but it was still light and refreshing. Overall it was a fun experience and I would come again to try more food!

It's my first time eating here but not my first time In the establishment. I remember my friend's service was decent...straight forward. Nothing to rave about. But I had Cam as my server and he was on point. Went over the new menu like it was a high end restaurant. Recommend the new menu much debuted last week and the Caesar salad with the blackened chicken was definitely on point. It looks so good that the girl at the next table had to ask her server what I had. I paired it with the chicken won ton soup which was a perfect beginner. I don't eat Chinese often but this spot will be on my mind when I have it again. Wanting to try other items!

Me and my bestie went here on a Sunday for an early dinner, and it did not disappoint! Everyone working was so kind, hospitable, and tentative. And the food hit the spot! The Korean chicken is a MUST TRY! I could've eaten a whole order by myself! (I didn't though lol.) The lo mein noodles with shrimp were also delish and the the chili chicken dumplings (I think that's what they were called) were amazing as an appetizer! If you're in the Weho area and want good food, good service, and a laid back casual atmosphere, Chin Chin is the spot! :)

Foods were delicious. My friend and I always come here every year to celebrate our friendship. We usually get foods that have boxed around them since we know those are highly recommended. Our server, Cam, was very attentive and friendly and always check on us to make sure we have our drinks, and anything we may need to make our time here more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend to sit in his area, he won't miss your table even if the entire seatings are full. The ambiance is relaxing and calming in this area. Lots of people watching and car driving by, it's a nice and clean area with plenty of shades for outdoor seating. There is a parking lot in the behind the restaurant, part of the Sunset plaza, which is nice to have free parking since parking in West Hollywood can be challenging. There is even an overflow parking as well! That's a plus in my book.

Couldn't stand the CCS! The lettuce was badly cut and the dressing was way too vinegary. I don't understand why people love it so much sweet-and-sour chicken was mid.

Great service and equally good food. Haven't been there since 2022, but everything was as I expected and enjoyed interacting with the staff which added to the experience. Happy to know that Chin Chin still offers up good and consistent food. I'll definitely be back!
