Taiwanese Dumpling Shop Sanmiwago Is Opening in Fidi - Eater NY

"Ray Zhou, an alum of Double Chicken Please, and Zhaojin Dai, the sous chef at the Michelin-starred restaurant Jungsik, are behind the menus at Chinato, a new bar at 108 Stanton Street, at Ludlow Street, on the Lower East Side. Cocktails mixed with corn, bell pepper, clarified yogurt, and other unusual ingredients are named after songs by artists like Snoop Dogg and Brad Paisley; they start at around $20. The owners are Teng Huang of Midtown’s Shinjuku Ramen and Xiong Ying behind the rooftop bar at Flushing’s Parc Hotel." - Luke Fortney

Most of the cocktails at the new bar Chinato — run by the former research and development head of Double Chicken Please, Ray Zhou — have a song pairing. I ordered the “Pancakes for Dinner,” an average tune, but a thoroughly enjoyable beverage — flavorful, strong, satisfying. Small plate offerings were developed by a Jung Sik chef. Chinato lacks the pageantry of DCP, but its cocktails live up to the hype. –Drew Sussman

The drinks are excellent. A personal favorite was easily the Grey Luh, possibly one of the best pandan drinks I've ever had. The Rum and Coco Cola was also fun and refreshing. The atmosphere itself is a good blend of casual but also intimate. Would recommend for groups of 2-4 if you're in the area.

The crew at this place is so welcoming and knowledgeable with their menu items. Tyler was serving drinks this evening, along with his peers, and absolutely knocked it out of the park. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and atmosphere to enjoy some very unique cocktails. Must stop if you’re in the area!

Hands down the best bar experience I've had in NY. The drinks are well thought-out, clean, and ridiculously good. The bar itself had a great atmosphere and allows the bartender to interact with the guests and explain the drinks in detail. Danny made our night. He was informative and knowledgeable about everything on and off the menu. Definitely coming back for more, and you should absolutely check this spot out if you're in the neighborhood!

it’s a really cool vibe that’s very LES. pretty ideal noise level (not too loud) and we came on a sat night. i learned i am not a fan of baijiu — the karma & friends and grey luh were pretty good though it felt so difficult to get the wait staffs attention to order and seemed rushed even when the place was p empty (& they forgot an item in our order)

I really enjoyed the drinks. We didn’t have a reservation but they seated us almost immediately. Cozy seating and very intimate with low lights.

Very solid cocktail bar in LES. Love the vibe of the space and creativity of their cocktails. Friendly service. Wouldn’t necessarily come for the food - good not great - but before or after dinner cocktails are a great move regardless.

Great cocktails/mocktails and bar food dishes along with a nice relaxed ambiance. There was music but it wasn't loud like regular bars. It felt more like a lounge. I found the fries on the salty side. The fried mushrooms were quite good. The mango dessert was delicious as well. Will definitely return!

Walked passed it while waiting for our dinner spot. The danmu was amazing, tasted like popcorn. Their fried chicken sandwich was also good!
