I wandered in for a new place to try, and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered a latte and had a smooth, delicious cup. I even went back into the store after I'd walked a block away shopping my coffee so I could but a bag of their freshly roasted beans to take home. Great staff, clean store, warm but stuff professional. I'll be wandering back for sure.

Overall an excellent coffee shop with highly knowledgeable baristas. The only downside is it needs slightly better lighting. But I thinks it’s a great place.

I’ve been going here for a while and have always enjoyed the friendly service and well made coffee. This morning I had a more frustrating experience that lost it a couple of stars. I ordered a medium cold brew with extra ice. I watched him throw only a few cubes in then fill with coffee. So, I asked if he could put a few more ice cubes into a larger cup and just put the coffee in that. No more coffee, just extra ice. He said ‘well that’s a large, which costs $5.20’. ‘But there’s no more coffee’, I replied. ‘Yeah but it’s a large. It’s ok I’ll charge you for a medium just this time, but this is kind of a “life hack”’. ‘So you charge more just for extra ice?’ This went on. Tip: Don’t order a large iced coffee here. You just get extra ice and it costs more than a fiver. Outrageous.

Best coffee in the neighborhood, great space and light but could be improved with warmer furniture pieces like a couple couches or chairs with some fabric to them.

I thought I knew good coffee, then I found this gem of a coffee house. Very knowledgeable staff that are passionate about a wide range of topics. Happy that I have this place to add to my morning routine.

I really liked the staff and the environment, but the coffee was sadly just average. I had a pour over, which was pretty expensive compared to the other dozens of non-chain coffee shops I've been to in DC. The quality of the beans is lacking, especially if you want to buy their super over-priced beans for home brew purposes. I really recommend the place, first get better quality coffee beans, and secondly adjust their coffee bean prices. Besides that I found the staff really great! I cannot comment on the other coffee/espresso based drinks, since I only had the pour over.

Excellent coffee. Great hand pours, which is typically what I go for. Baristas are knowledgeable and very friendly.

I finally got to try the coffee here. I have to say it was decent espresso. Staff could not have been more friendly. They helped me choose a fantastic coffee for my friend's birthday. They were able to ground the coffee so it will work with a French press. The coffee is a bit pricey compared to other coffee shops in the area. The vibe is more relaxed. The lighting is a bit dark due to it being in a row house.
