This was our first visit here. The location is next to an Asian wholesale market near the other Chinese supermarket with all the surrounding eateries and shops. The restaurant is clean, large, with some food murals and artwork on the walls and paper umbrellas on the ceilings. We didn't have to wait for a table. The waiters were efficient and friendly.
Our party of 3 ordered the following items. BBQ pork steamed buns which were very good. Wonton soup with seaweed, which my husband didn't like, but the rest of us were ok with it. Don't get this if you don't like seaweed in your soup, because there's quite a lot, but I thought the wontons were good and flavorful. We also had shrimp fried rice, which only had rice, eggs, and shrimp in it. That was a little disappointing, because we usually expect some vegetables in our fried rice. However, the shrimp was perfectly cooked and tasted fresh. Next, we had the chicken lo-mein, which everyone loved. Then finally, we had the kung-pao tofu, which I thought was excellent! It was spicy, with nice chunks of zucchini, peppers, and onion, peanuts, and flash -fried tofu cubes which were perfectly cooked with crispy outside and soft inside. That came with a bowl of steamed white rice. The price was reasonable for the amount of food we got. We ended up taking some leftovers home.
Overall, we liked most items and were satisfied with our dining experience. I'm glad that there are now more options for good, delicious Chinese food in SLC.
