Seriously felt bad entering this location with hunger and fever. Ordered food couple of minutes ago. 1. The customer support was bad. 2. The serving was very less than kinda half than other chipotle stores. 3. Unable to feel that chicken in whole order and tastes bad. Rice seems hard and uncooked. 4. They don't wash their hands here. When visiting the restaurant the front of house team member (who is African-American woman approximately 5'2 with clear glasses) was cleaning with a broom in her hands. When she saw me she turned and put on gloves without washing her hands. I proceeded to say "Hi, aren't you going to wash your hands?" She proceeded to glare at me, run her hands under the sink for 3 seconds without applying any soap, dry her hands and put on a second pair of gloves. She then started my burrito and rushed the entire process while throwing the portions on the tortilla and not folding the burrito properly. After placing the order at the end of the line for the cashier she rolled her eyes at me and went to serve someone else. I then asked the cashier to speak to the manager. I then waited about 10 minutes for a Caucasian gentleman with black hair to come over. I told him what happened and he seemed completely indifferent. When I was done speaking he just said "is that it?" And didn't apologize or seem concerned by the lack of food safety handling that was happening with his staff. At this point I was shocked by the lack of care and just wanted to pay for my food and leave. I asked the cashier to charge me for the burrito, and the manager said it was fine and that I did not have to pay for it. I double confirmed that that was okay because my aim was not to get free food, but to call attention to the lack of food safety and retaliation against me for calling it out that was happening. I'm sharing this matter with you because I believe that the staff needs refresher training on food safety and the importance of correctly washing your hands after handling cleaning supplies. Unfortunately I did not get any names and the staff was not wearing any name tags, but I hope that you can identify based off of the information I was able to provide.

Ordered ahead on the website and walked in 10 minutes earlier than expected. Although my order was not ready, the lady at the online orders counter acknowledged me and told me she will get right on to making the order. Portion size was good too. The guacamole was fresh and tasty. I forgot o ask the name of the person at the counter but this was 5/29/25 between 2pm and 3pm.

I have ordered from this store for over a dozen times, and the amount of meat in each delivery is just constantly decreasing. I paid for two full size of protein, chicken and steak, but the bowl I received has just enough protein that could barely cover the very bottom of the bowl. $20+ for this nonsense. This is nuts. don't waste your money on this store. you could get much better quality from other branches

Who’s hiring these unfriendly people ? Walked in to pick up an online order and didn’t get greeted upon entering. Got completely ignored by the workers closest to pick up area. I understand they busy preparing orders so i proceeded to try to get help from the cashier cause she didn’t have no customers at the time and instead of helping me she points to the two workers prepping orders. So I told her I was ignored by them then they wanna try and help me. Get it together stop being rude to customers.

Honestly the worst experience every time I come. I'm more surprised when my order is actually correct. I ordered on the app yesterday for pick up. When I went to pick it up I saw they forgot the fountain drink cup, but when I asked for it, they told me I didn't order one.. they said I ordered an apple juice with the children's meal.. I showed them I ordered a fountain drink.. the employee then argued with me that fountain drinks aren't an option for kids meal even though it said it right there on the menu and the app, told the other employee not to give me a cup.. all this and there wasn't even an apple juice in the bag either! At this point it was my fault for not checking every single item, but I got home just to realize they didn't even give me the kids meal!! They gave me a random order of 3 carnita tacos? What a waste of time and money.

Everyone shits on reviews of this chain for whatever reason. I've seen customers treat staff as if they were entitled royalty. Most of the time In the service industry, the customer is actually fucking wrong. Every time my portions are enormous and the burrito is medical grade, without the medical grade enhancements. Staff has been friendly and generous, even with the catering. No complains here.

Please never order for here. Only walk in, so that you can see your food being prepared. I would give 0 stars if I could. I was supposed to get 2x Burrito Bowl: 1/2 Chicken, 1/2 Steak, Brown Rice, Mild Tomato, Medium Corn, Medium Green, Sour Cream, Cheese and Lettuce. What came was bowls with only Chicken, Steak, and Rice. We were also missing our bag of chips. This is the second time Journal Square has let us down. The first time, our order was completely wrong. The photo is exactly how we opened them. So sad. I like Chipotle and would normally recommend another location, but it seems like every location in Jersey City is just as bad.

I ordered Chipotle my order was not correct and it was cold and messy. I feel the employees don't know the menu and meals well they need more trading on what goes with what. My order was horrible and I will not order from this restaurant again and will advise friends and family.Chipotle need to do better. I was directed to a virtual site, Scott this was not helpful, I feel chipotle is hiding behind their customer issue instead of correctly dealing with the customers.

Unpredictable! Chipotle is my favorite of all the fast food burrito chains because they offer brown rice and their chips are exactly how I like them; light, crispy and randomly salty. They have several meats to chose from barbacao, smoked brisket, shredded chicken, chicken chunks, steak, guacamole to sofritas. They offer all the typical vegetables and toppings with an upcharge applied to guacamole. They have several menu items but I always get a burrito. You can order the burrito in a tortilla wrap, a burrito bowl or a burrito salad. They've only earned a 3 star due to their unpredictability. I have been lucky to have a 5 star burrito which had perfect ingredient proportions, everything was cooked properly, and it was aligned accordingly with a taste of everything in almost every bite. I have also had a burrito with hard uncooked rice as well as a burrito where every bite was a different filling, like an entire bite of lettuce with no meat, sour cream or rice at all. I am sure I will go to this neighborhood Chipotle again and hope for that occasional 5 star burrito.

Terrible! came to order a bowl just to receive one spoon full of rice, which wasn't enough! The meat portion was terrible too. Worker are too stingy, I ask for more meat and they would say it would be "extra" so I didn't ask. I feel as if I'm the one getting scam paid close to 15$ for half a bowl. :(

This location is by far the worst one I've ever been to. The entire place and restaurant is dirty. Their lemonades had a roach in it, when I got it last. Basically if you want an empty dirty bowl, with attitude from the staff and manager go here.

Got a beef bowl without beef. Got another beef bowl with plastic in it. Got an order with chips with no chips given and the workers didn't even have the courtesy to tell me that chips were out- they just left my order on the shelf to pick up. Luckily I checked and realized that there were no chips; but they can't refund me and jisu asked me to contact customer service. Their rice is stale, portion is half what I got from Chipotle in NYC. Actually after writing so much I start to think I must be crazy since I keep going back. I guess there are just no other chipotle nearby. Someone should take this place away and set it straight.

I've been to plenty of Chipotles in the past and this location might be one of the worst I've been to (almost on par with the college town location where I got food poisoning). I haven't gotten food poisoning here, but I've tried to give it a chance 4 different times (pick-up and Door Dash) and the experience is always the same. My go-to order is a chicken burrito bowl and I don't know whether its just the chicken, the salsa, or what, but the entire thing is too salty to the point where it's almost inedible. I feel like after every couple bites, I have to chug water to get it down. I end up throwing away 2/3 of it. My boyfriend, who puts salt on literally everything, has ordered with me each time and also thinks the same. The chips always come stale as well. I totally understand that restaurants have been struggling during COVID, so I really wanted to give it a chance but I honestly don't see myself having Chipotle anytime soon, especially not from this location. Also reading other peoples' reviews of poor food handling makes me never want to come here again.

I've never experience at any other chipotle what I experienced today at this location. I placed an order and set time for pick up at 8:15pm.m, which was confirm via email. I arrive at locAtion at 8:10 and decided to come in for my order. There were at least 10 orders ready to go on the tables and a few people coming in. As I looked for my order, a manager came out and said they were closed and she had to throw all theses online paid orders in the garbage. She knew a lot of customers would be upset because she had already called the police before anyone can complain. When we the customers asked why and what would happen with our order, she said you can ask for a refund via our corporate in a rude way. It is disgusting that they would throw our orders in the garbage after we had paid for them just because she didn't want to service us. I would had given them zero stars but Yelp does not allow. I hope corporate takes a good look at the people they have working at this location they have very poor customer service.

This place is straight up ghetto. The "manager" is straight up trash, extremely rude to customers. While I was there, she started arguing with a customer about putting his hand on the counter and told the worker to throw his food in the trash and then threatened to spit in his face. All their sodas were out and about 10 workers who couldn't replace it. Can't believe this place is still in business and an embarrassment to the Chipotle franchise.

Not sure why this place is like this, as I've been to many chipotle locations and used to work for chipotle down in Hoboken. The food is NEVER warm, and always cold. Concerned about getting sick every time because the temperature regulation is obviously not correct. As an ex employee I know this is not correct and dangerous. The portions are out of control and the food is served messy, disgusting and sloppy. The employees look miserable and angry and treat customers rudely. Picture below is my moms meal, which she had to warm in the microwave before eating. I got tacos that were cold (and the soft shell tortillas were raw). This place is messed up.

Probably the slowest, most disorganized Chipotle location I've ever been to. Food is regularly cold. Nowhere to park. And seedy characters inside and outside. Pretty much avoid this location at all costs and consider the Hoboken location instead.

This is not about staff, service, or wait times. This is strictly about the food quality. There is something off with the temperature regulation and the 'hot line station' doesn't hold temp for any of the foods. Yesterday we ordered at 7:48 pm. Picked up our food at 8:00 pm and you could tell the food wasn't warm. We ate it and it was cold all the way through the rice and meat (burrito bowls). I'm writing this as a warning for anyone considering eaiting here especially during Covid when you don't need a compromised immune system. We have tried this locations food 4x and every single time the food was cold and we got food poisoning the very next day. We have tried Chipotle at many different locations in NYC and have never experienced cold food or food poisoning. It is strictly this location.

RUDE and LAZIEST Chipotle ever. Ive been to several and i have had little to NO problems from this franchise EXCEPT this one. Every single time.. either they tell you theyre out of something at 2pm in the afternoon OR they tell you they cant make something thats literally on the damn menu! I always ask for the Kids Quesadilla with added Steak (0.55cents added for meat AS PER THE MENU). When i asked for that she told me the kids menu quesadilla is only cheese no meat to add (ITS LITERALLY ON YOUR MENU!) & if u try and explain they start yelling and catching an attitude. If im spending $60 on food at your place - pls treat customers accordingly! Specially if we are addressing you with respect! The chips are always ALWAYS stale and the meat they have always looks like its been sitting there since yesterday . Chipotle.. pls check this place. It needs a revamp ASAP!!!

My boss placed an order at 12:52PM. We are starving? Why? We sent the secretary to get our lunch and she said it was already picked up. The employees refused to make a new set of food. My boss spoke to the manager who also refused to remedy the problem. Why should we pay for food we never got?

Food everywhere ....Drug addicts kept coming in to drink from the soda fountain and one coughed on the machine while filling a water bottle . A staff member walked by and sprayed the machine once and didn't wipe the machine....kept walking . I just left

This is what I opened up after I returned to work from picking up what was supposed to be a steak burrito bowl lunch order for $13. A bowl of steak meat only. Not sure how you can get a simple lunch order like this so wrong. Now I understand all the 1* reviews.

No stars. It's always a problem with this location. Hard rice in the burrito which I had to drive back for another. I let that pass gave it some time and ordered again today. Well as they say, fool twice shame on me. My children were about to eat the side guacamole and I noticed it was half full. So I told them not to eat it as I realized it looked like someone ate out of it and the bag was open when they received it. Total bust for lunch. Chipotle is blaming delivery and vice versa. So disgusting and vile.

We ordered online and decided to stay. When we came in they had our order ready to go. The place was busy a lot of people were coming in and out. The food was fresh and good. They served us a lot which was really nice of them. The only thing was that the tables weren't that clean so we sat by the window. However, it made sense considering they were busy and it was 7:36pm.

Clearly it says "Carnitas Burrito!" I asked for a burrito but apparently it came as a bowl with the wrong meat. I asked for carnitas & it came with beef. And on top of that that I asked for half white/half brown rice & it was completely white rice! I unfortunately am on a time limit for lunch since I'm at work but I AM NOT HAPPY! Ridiculous, please train your worker to read because clearly they're illiterate! The nerve!

I understand now why this location gets low marks. We placed an online delivery order via the website and it came completely incorrect. Once calling about it, they apparently have no idea how to credit customers back for mistakes and refused to send a replacement. Will not order from this location again. Would not recommend them to anyone.

I'm very disappointed with the service at chipotle more specifically this location. Countless times I've ordered through doordash and the order has come back either completely wrong or missing one item. Idk what's going on there like are there too many orders or is the staff not paying attention because why are things always so wrong. When your delivering something to someone it should be perfect because otherwise some people dont have a way to go back and fix the issue. As of right now I'm gonna not order here because its terrible service. And I'd wish management would fix the issue so people get what they order.

Please if you are concerned or at high risk of COVID-19 please stay away from this place. They have all the chairs blocked off so you cant get to the bags where they leave the food. There are about 6 workers that are standing around talking in very close proximity. You wait about 15 minutes for them to bring you not just your food but a large number of orders all at once. There is a large table with letters so that you can pick up your food with minimum contact. However, you still have to wait for their server to hand you your food which is about 1ft of distance. So it is best to stay clear of this restaurant until the threat is contained becauaw these employees are not at all concerned about your health they are not concerned about their own.

Chipotle is known for their food, what people needs is the good service from newly opened store. I believe their service lacks the coordination between the staff, and I have been there twice so far and both times the person served me was not polite with me. The quantity they gave me is very less to other chipotle I go to. And looking around and inside this place, does not look like it is a new store.

Workers here don't wear masks. Customers without masks are constantly leaning on the counter over the food. They are always running out of items. Sometimes the workers don't listen and get your order wrong. They will randomly be closed often.

Never order Uber eats from here. I ordered a chicken burrito bowl the other day, and I couldn't believe it; there was hardly any food on the bowl. It was about a table spoon of some shredded lettuce, a few pieces of chicken and a dash of cheese. Unacceptable. Cancelled order after 1.5 hours for no reason and Uber Eats kept assigning drivers. Told Uber driver customer cancelled but driver called us, than they said we (Chipotle) cancelled. We called few times but didn't answer. Pathetic!
