Whole pies with crispy crust, tangy sauce, and molten mozzarella

"From August 11–17 I’ll be trying Chrissy’s Pizza’s New Haven–style tomato pie, offered as a special for Eater’s anniversary celebration." - Eater Staff
"A buzzy Greenpoint spot that started as a 2021 pop-up and now often draws lines; it’s casual with no seating and serves whole pies only. The dough is given a 50+ hour cold ferment for deep flavor, and the sauce is frequently praised for its balanced sweetness and acidity—Eats by NYC confirms the place lives up to the hype." - Merlyn Miller
"Chrissy’s, which began as a pandemic pop-up in a Bushwick apartment, has a brick-and-mortar in Greenpoint—and even if you see a line out front, it’s worth the wait. The New York-style pies are shamelessly saucy, with a crust so light and shattering that we'd happily eat the leftovers off a crust-hater's plate. They don’t do slices, which essentially forces you to bring friends and have a pizza picnic on the sidewalk. Things could be worse." - bryan kim, willa moore, kenny yang, carlo mantuano, molly fitzpatrick
"The first thing to know about Chrissy’s is no: you can’t order by the slice. That might normally preclude a pizzeria from being on a slice shop list. But Chrissy’s Pizza is as close to the perfect New York slice, referencing the old-school Long Island spots founder Chris Hansell grew up with. It was first a pop-up before opening as a pies-only takeout on Nassau Avenue in Greenpoint. Note: there are no seats, but bring them to nearby McGolrick or McCarren Park." - Emma Orlow
