The Chubby Cattle was absolutely amazing! From start to finish, Janice was simply incredible — knowledgeable, attentive, and made every moment special. This was my first time visiting with my girlfriend and our friend, and she guided us perfectly through the entire experience. The atmosphere is soothing with a cool steampunk vibe — I loved the vents and overall design. The tables are spacious and comfortable, making it easy to relax and enjoy the meal. Now, let’s talk about the food — the specialty meats are to die for! Everything melts in your mouth with an explosion of flavor. The unlimited meats were also incredible — we tried a little bit of everything (and a lot of some!), and it was totally worth the Diamond Experience. And the best part? Soft serve ice cream and slushies! Need I say more? I highly recommend visiting with friends or a date, and definitely consider signing up for the membership if you plan to come back — the annual fee is very affordable and totally worth it. Absolutely the Best AYCE Wagyu Experience! The quality of the meat is exceptional! You can really taste the difference in the freshness and marbling compared to other AYCE places. Also, a huge shoutout to our wonderful waitress, Janice. She made the experience even better! She was super friendly and attentive. Her recommendations were spot on, and her service was truly top-notch. So, if you’re a fan of Wagyu, then Chubby Cattle is the place to go. Definitely a 10/10!

Chubby Cattle BBQ is located in Little Tokyo and offers an all-you-can-eat experience featuring a wide selection of wagyu beef for grilling. The Gold menu is priced at $78 per person. Certain premium A5 wagyu cuts are limited to one order, which is understandable given their rarity. The restaurant does not serve alcohol. It’s nice to have the chance to try many different cuts of beef along with sushi, but I wouldn’t say the food was exceptional overall. They do offer memberships with event access and food discounts, but since I don’t see myself visiting often, I chose to dine as a regular customer. A decent option if you’re curious about trying various wagyu cuts in one sitting, but not necessarily a must-visit.

Me and my girlfriend have been to chubby cattle like 20+ times in the past 6 months. The service is one of the best as far as restaurants go and the food is great. Most notably we always come back because of Ben K. He has a great personality and is very attentive and is the best server. I always come back specifically because of that. It's always worth the drive and wait. If I could give him 6 stars I would. Look forward to having Ben as a server every time.

It was a Saturday night, and my husband and I were in the LA area exploring Little Tokyo. There are so many amazing food options there, so I decided to check Yelp for recommendations. That’s when we came across Chubby Cattle Little Tokyo. I noticed the reviews mentioned it was usually busy, so I joined the waitlist and yes, it was about an hour and a half wait. Honestly, we almost left, but I’m so glad we decided to stay because it was absolutely worth it! Chubby Cattle is an all-you-can-eat Japanese barbecue experience that also includes hot pot, Wagyu meats, sides, desserts, and all-you-can-drink options. They have slushies (strawberry and passionfruit), soft drinks, and even a self-serve ice cream machine with chocolate and vanilla flavors. I was too full for ice cream this time, but it’s definitely on my list for next time! They offer three tier options if I remember correctly, the Gold tier includes the premium A5 Wagyu, but even the basic tier comes with plenty of delicious Wagyu and unlimited sides. We ordered a bit of everything: enoki mushrooms, Wagyu spicy hand rolls (my absolute favorite!), kimchi, fried chicken bites, salmon and Wagyu sashimi, and edamame. The kimchi had great flavor, though I do wish it had been a little crispier. The fried chicken bites were incredible crispy, flavorful, and came with a tasty sauce underneath. The sashimi was decent, and the edamame, while served cold (which surprised me), just needed a touch more salt. Luckily, they have plenty of seasoning and sauces on the table, including chili pepper and a special salt blend that really elevated everything. As for the meat, the Wagyu short rib was my favorite tender, juicy, and full of flavor. All the meats were high quality and cooked perfectly on the grill. For dessert, we tried the chocolate crêpe and the original Swiss roll. Both were good, but we agreed the Swiss roll was our favorite light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. The only small disappointment was that they had run out of Wagyu dumplings (I was really looking forward to those), but given how packed it was on a Saturday night, I completely understand. Now, I have to give a huge shoutout to our server, Janice. She was amazing! Truly one of the best servers I’ve ever encountered. She went above and beyond checked on us regularly, walked us through the menu, gave helpful recommendations, and made sure our grill was clean by changing the top herself. She was incredibly sweet, professional, and attentive not just to us but to every table she managed. Honestly, she deserves a raise or promotion. She made our dining experience a perfect 10/10! Another thing I loved was their iPad ordering system super convenient and modern. You can add up to 10 items per order and send them to the kitchen, which keeps the experience smooth and efficient. The ambiance was lively, stylish, and welcoming great for a date night or a fun outing with friends. Although I don’t live in LA, Janice mentioned there are sister locations in Irvine, and I’ll definitely be checking those out. Still, I’d happily drive back to LA just to have her as our server again! Overall, Chubby Cattle Little Tokyo absolutely lives up to the hype. The food, service, and atmosphere were all incredible. My husband and I left happy, full, and already planning our next visit. Definitely a five-star experience!

Thanks to amazing service from the Server Jonny and the house team members. Meat, service and seating vibe were great. Just parking was hassle but was able to park at marketplace which was 10 min walk from the chubby cattle little Tokyo.

Food - we got the Gold Tier and it was just perfect! The meat selections were great. I enjoyed everything. I like that they have ice cream. Service - our server was David and he was the best! His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were very helpful. Ambiance - typical Asian restaurant, noisy...lol. This is the third Chubby Cattle that I've been to and it's close to my work. We came at a good time so we didn't have to wait too long. Parking - there's a structure next door, which is expensive but this is Downtown LA so it's not a surprise, and street parking. Will definitely come back.

Our server was the best (David). He explained the whole process & gave tips on which items to order. He even cooked the premium meats so it doesn't get wasted or burnt. He's very attentive but not in an annoying way. He will come to your table at the right time.

AYCE Japanese KBBQ, sushi, and Japanese side dishes? YES PLEASE! There are three tiers but even with the first silver tier, the wagyu beef types were delicious. The steak was a bit chewy in some parts but the flavor was gooood.There are all kinds of meat, all kinds of seafood, sushi nigiri and handrolls, side dishes, and even soft serve to finish it off! You get 90 minutes to finish the meal, you can order 10 items at a time on the tablet, and a requirement of at least 5 min in between orders. Some people might not like cooking your own food, and it CAN be a bit overwhelming to eat and manage the meat cooking at the same time, but I guess when it is AYCE you're ok if you have to order again, for good or bad! The meat was good, but the okra salad, spinach gomaae, chawanmushi, the wagyu tartare, all of them were SO GOOD! I wasn't the biggest fan of the takoyaki sadly, I wasn't expecting it to be fried, but it could also be because I ate it at the end of the meal. Even the soft serve was yummy! Must try side dishes: Okra salad Wagyu tartare Wagyu sushi Good thing there isn't a location super close to me or I'll be eating too much way too often.

Best meat experience my life. I've had a lot of beef and with the assistance of Jon Kim, this was an epic meal. We wanted to go all out this meal so we chose the Diamond Tier. It came with double the wagyu as the Gold Tier and a fantastic way to start your AYCE experience. For drinks, you just go up to the drink area and get whatever you want. I opted for some milk tea and a Coke. Since this was our first time, we had Jon start us off choosing out his favorite cuts. You do this all through the electronic tablet for your table. My favorite of the unlimited Silver Tier meats was the wagyu short rib, which I kept ordering over and over again. There are appetizers like sushi which my +1 ordered, but I like to stick with the MEAT!

Do make a reservation and Do order the Gold Tier if it's your first time ($75 pp) . The silver tier $55 pp is just as good for all the quality Wagyu meats u can get and all you can eat. This location is in the newer side and I heard the menu is smaller than the Rowland Heights location. You also get all u can eat sides, milk tea, and soft serve. They unfortunately don't have an ice machine so you need it get ice from hotel style ice buckets but the ice melts very quickly. For any sodas just grab on of the cans from their mini fridge. The quality of the meat here is like no other and the price point is justified. My favorite favorite meat item was the M8-9 Wagyu Otoro. Basically beef bacon. SO YUMMY and available on all tiers! Their sushi also AYCA WAS VERY GOOD: yellowtail and salmon, yummmm. 90 mins eating time. Ready, set, and let the meat sweats rolllll!

Overall: pricey, but worth it! Food: 5/5 The wagyu cuts live up to their name. The specials were really buttery. Even the all you can eat cuts were nicely marbled and flavored. The brisket was great, though be sure to cook quickly. I also really liked the thick cut beef tongue. Sides were flavorful (kimchi wasn't too spicy!). Also recommend the cheesy corn, super flavorful and sweet. Service: 5/5 Food came quickly when you ordered it on the tablet. They came by often to remove trash from the table. Ambiance: 5/5 Nice decor. Clean spaces.

WOW. Oh my gosh. I had such a great experience here. The food is just WOW. Literally everything we ordered was so delicious. The wagyu was seriously to die for. Best AYCE. They even have AYCE milktea and icecream! The service was amazing. Wendy is so talented. She's a professional at cooking. We were all amazed with her skills! She's very nice and chill, very easy to talk to! She's the best!!! The restaurant is very clean, tidy, and I love how it is decorated. Everything came on beautiful plates! I also love the music that was playing lol. Great playlist Can't wait to come here again!

Took a chance on a random choice before our trip to the Elysian. We loved it. Parking is either street or parking lot. Both you have to pay for. We made a reservation on yelp to get on the waiting list. Waited about 5min for our table to get cleaned up. We were sat at a nice table, they explained the menu options to us and had us use the tablet to put in our orders. The non alcoholic drink bar is self serve and fully included. We loved that. We chose the silver option and order just about everything. The meat was great quality and the sushi was delicious. We will absolutely be returning!

I must have been living under a rock--how did I not know about Chubby Cattle? Seriously, was this some kind of well-kept not so secret, or have I just been failing at life? Either way, I'm glad I finally made it because this place is a gem for torta like me. First off, Ben was amazing. You know that rare kind of service where someone actually enjoys their job? That's Ben. Friendly, attentive, and quick with recommendations--he made sure our experience was top-tier. Now, the food? Chef's kiss. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely worth the price. You know that feeling when you take a bite and immediately start mentally planning your next visit? Yeah, that actually happened. I loved the self serve drinks and dessert to close out our meal. But the real cherry on top? They sang happy birthday to my daughter! It was full of enthusiasm, and she ate it up (along with her meal). Chubby Cattle, you've officially won me over. I may have been late to the party, but I'm never missing out again!

When I first looked up this place I was skeptical about how they had a five star rating ( because it's rare that a place has more than 4 1/2 stars). After my experience here, I understand why they have kept their five star rating now. Not only is their customer service amazing, but their meat qualities are worth the price. Johnny helped us with suggestions on how to cook the meat ( but he helped us a lot in doing it for us) and what sauces to use. Johnny has been one of the best waiters we have encountered, he made the overall experience of dining at the chubby cattle that much better. Side note: join their membership . It's worth it so far.

Such great quality of meat and a cool experience! We stopped by for dinner on a Friday and were seated right away. Interior and decor were very nice. Even loved the bottles that the sauces came in. Service by Nessie was great as well! He was very attentive and thorough when going over the menu, plus checked up on us a good number of times. We stuck with the silver tier, but the quality of meats were great! Sushi was fresh too. The Wagyu otoro was the best meat in my opinion, so soft and tender!! The special salt was sooo good too, paired well with the beef tongue. Squid and Tom yum soup I would pass on. Not really that great but I liked how the squid came cut, which made it easier to grill. Tom yum soup was more on the sour side, but I prefer it with more sweetness. Favorites: - Wagyu Otoro - Wagyu nigiri - Yellowtail Carpaccio - Beef tongue Would definitely come back to try their gold tier.

The meat & sushi quality is great, service is great as well. I also liked the AYCE aspect. You can only get a few rounds of their "higher grade" meats depending on what tier you get. All the Wagyu and sushi was delicious. Self serve drinks and soft serve. They have a cool modern cyberpunk ish interior. I went here with my mom and she is typically a picky eater but she left really enjoying this meal! It is near little Tokyo Japanese village so if you're in the area you can walk around after eating.

I am obsessed with Chubby Cattle!! I've been wanting to try this place for a long time and it did not disappoint! I was blown away that drinks and ice cream were unlimited! I chose the lowest tier but the amount and quality of the meat was still amazing! All the meat just melted in your mouth! Our server Wendy was absolutely amazing and she even helped us cook. I loved that sushi was included, as well as the many side options. My favorite was the Wagyu tartare. I would definitely come back!! There is a parking lot right next to the restaurant and it has a $15 maximum. It might help to check into yelp before coming as well since the lines can be really long.

This was me and my husbands first time to a chubby cattle! We got the diamond tier and it was well worth it! The premium meats literally melt in your mouth, so savory and flavorful on its own. I also enjoyed the sashimi and scallops. My favorite side dishes had to be the takoyaki and the truffle fries lol I'm a sucker for some fries. Their salad is good too, idk what dressing it was but it was addicting. Don't get too full with the sides tho, the meats are what you came for and there's one meat that comes with a pasteurized egg to dip in, I forgot which one that's called but I highly recommend that one bc that's the one that is unlimited! The place is actually smaller than the other chubby cattles, so make sure you get a reservation! They have an open drink bar with sodas and milk teas (btw their alcohol license isn't approved yet tho so none yet womp). Overall the place is clean and there's a parking structure literally right next to it (max pay $15 for parking, no validation option). There's a little cute Japan plaza area for shopping that is within walking distance...it has a Japanese market, somisomi and even a honeybee and other cute restaurants and shops if you wanted to walk around after eating! Perfect location. Also, last but not least our server Joshua, was very kind, helpful, and thorough in helping us grill our meats and explaining everything about our dining experience! Such a good server (and photographer for our pics lol), thanks Joshua!!!

It's a small establishment.. a hole in the wall kind of feel. Didn't seem impeccably clean. It took awhile for the waiters to take our dirty plates away and we were running out of space for the incoming food. I also didn't like how we had to order rice. Just keep it outside for us to get as much as we please. The food was tasty. Loved the wagyu. However the service didn't seem as up to par as the service in rowland heights. The presentation was a c. The 90 min order is strict. There wasn't alot of people. But i did have a happy tummy and still a good time with friends. When we ask if there's anything done for our friend's birthday.. he said .. " no". But at rowland heights they give a sweet treat and the staff sings to you with a big banner. Hard to believe this restaurant is under the same establishment as the Rowland heights one. Don't think I'll b coming back to this one.

I bookmarked this AYCE Japanese wagyu place on Yelp and decided to give it a try for our dating anniversary. I read about the long wait hours, so make sure you add yourself to Yelp waitlist when you are within 5 miles (Yelp setting). They only accept reservations for party grater than 6 ppl. The interior of the restaurant is impressive, welcoming, trendy and with a nice Japanese touch. Since we only have 1.5 hours to finish meal. we wasted no time ordering the Silver tier. I'm personally happy without choice because that is already plenty of high quality wagyu to choose from! Most of the dishes come pre-marinated, so they are already flavorful (and a bit salty) to begin with and in my opinion, no need to dip into extra sauce or salt. Regardless, I'm pleasantly surprised by the Ponzu sauce as it brings a refreshing nose to the fatty meat cuts. Among all meats, we like Prime Angus top blade the most. It's not as fatty but super tender and full of beefy flavors! I'm not a wagyu expert and can hardly tell major differences between cuts, other than the marbling and fatness. And to be honest, I think Chubby Cattle can go a little easy on the marination as it can cover the original beefy flavor by a lot. We ended up drinking lots of water after the meal because of the saltiness. We were also happy with other sushi and side dishes such as Unagi (grilled eel) and avocado hand roll, octopus balls, Wagyu hand roll (raw meat!), yellowtail and salmon hand rolls. The wagyu dumplings are also good and filling, but be careful not to stuff yourself with too much carb, as you don't want to waste your precious real estate for cheaper stuff. Lastly, the desserts only come with vanilla/chocolate/swirl self service ice cream (no matcha!) The drink options are soft drink, milk tea and lemonade and mango slushes. Honestly, they need to up their dessert and drinks game a little more. The price comes up with $55/ person, which is an exceptional deal given the meat quality. Definitely recommend Chubby Cattle over Gyu-Kaku for sure! Staff is super friendly, quick to service and well trained.

Cody was our server, and he truly made the evening special. He was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made excellent recommendations. His friendly demeanor and quick service enhanced our dining experience. The food was also incredible--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I can't recommend Chubby Cattle enough, and a huge shoutout to Cody for his amazing service! I'll definitely be back.

Chubby Cattle lives up to the hype! There is a long wait on weekends so if you're able to come early, skip the wait. If you're able to book a res, even better. It's very clean and spacious inside - they do a really good job maintaining the smoke from all the cooking meats with their ventilation hoods per table. There are three tiers of meats to order from! The silver was our choice because we wanted to try their basic offerings and this menu had my favorite cut (beef tongue) so there was no need to go higher. I'd say the gold is probably the most expansive option - with this choice, you unlock tons of specialty items that look great if you're feeling more daring. The meat quality is also higher in the gold menu (which is saying something because the silver's quality is ALREADY excellent). We ordered pretty much one of every meat and loved everything. The meats were not frozen and came fresh and cooked beautifully on the grill. Ordering is modern with an individual iPad per table. Orders can be placed every 5 minutes, and last call orders are marked at 70 min into your meal. Drinks are self serve: they have free flowing milk tea, two diff fruit slushies, and sodas. NOTE: there is no alcohol here! Service was very friendly and attentive. The servers will ask if you're interested in the membership - i believe it's annual fee and you receive a small discount everytime you come back. It pays itself off w a handful of visits per year. Parking is typical 2nd street bs - there's a lot in the back adjacent to chubby cattle (look for the alley). There's street parking as well if you're lucky, or you can go down 2nd to the open air lot which is my favorite because it's easy to get in/out. Highly recommend Chubby Cattle! We left so full and happy and will be coming back with more friends!

If you're in Little Tokyo and craving premium JBBQ, Cubby Cattle is a must-visit. The wait was long (as expected for a popular spot), but luckily, my friend who lives in LA hooked me up with parking--a huge win in this area! We went all in and got the Gold Tier, and let me tell you, it was worth it. Every premium cut we tried was fresh and flavorful. The A5 brisket was hands down my favorite--melts in your mouth like butter. As we transitioned to the all-you-can-eat portion, the quality remained high, and we left with full bellies and happy hearts. My only regret? Not eating more of the marinated meats because the wagyu cuts were just too tempting to pass up. Whether you're a wagyu purist or love a good marinade, this place will not disappoint. Pro tip: come hungry and be prepared to wait, but it's 100% worth it. Can't wait for the next visit! Shout out to Robin for the great service!

SUPER AMAZING STAFF, and a big shout out to BEN! Chubby Cattle 'Lil Tokyo is an amazing place to dine at, and they were able to easily handle our huge party size of 15. Our server, Ben, was able to help us order and help us with any questions we had. The food quality was top tier, and the vibes felt immaculate. I ended up getting a membership with this location and I will go going back soon.

I'll have to come back and review again after their full opening as I visited for a birthday dinner during their soft opening. Came here with reservations and but before dinner so we were sat fairly quickly. The staff was very helpful and walked us through their menu and how it all works. Pricing and meats were perfect! They have tons of options and while sometimes it seems it's not going to be enough time (90 min max table time) it turns out to be just right. However, it took them a bit to get our check and when they brought it over they were semi rushing us out of the table. But again, it's a soft opening so some things have to get ironed out. No alcohol either which was surprising but not a huge issue for us. Parking can be challenging if during rush hour but again, worth the visit. I will be back here.

First time coming , our server robin was excellent, they only have 2 sauce I wish they had something spicy There drink is serve yourself bar , they have milk tea, and coke and sprite in can, at the end they have ice cream for us def definitely coming back

Our server, Robin, truly made our visit special. He was incredibly attentive and helpful, especially since it was our first time here. If you're a first-timer, I highly recommend going for the Diamond Level Experience. It's totally worth it! They offer three different levels, but the Diamond level gives you the ultimate all-you-can-eat experience, ensuring you get the most out of your visit. A unique aspect is that you get your own drinks, which adds a casual and interactive touch to the meal. It's a fun and delicious experience overall, and I can't wait to come back. If you're in Little Tokyo, don't miss out on Chubby Cattle!

I felt lucky to have passed by this place for their soft opening while wandering Little Tokyo. I have been waiting for it to open. There was a waitlist that said up to 45 minutes wait but we were seated within 20. (You will be texted you can wander while you wait. However note you'll only have 15 minutes to get back once you're called.) It was very cool and modern inside. There are plenty of tables but they are fairly close together. Each table has a grill for you to cook your meat and veggies. There are 3 tiers each a different price per person and each with certain types of selection. We went with the basic Silver which includes album can eat American Wagyu, seafood, sushi, appetizers, sides, etc. The higher levels offer only one selection of a Japanese Wagyu meat, one selection of special sushi, and all you can eat of sides, other meats, etc. All the tiers include unlimited self serve beverages and soft serve. I recommend the Samurai milk tea. (They do not have liquor at this time.) For meat we had the brisket, otoro, steak, short rib, tongue, and pork belly. All were tasty especially the steak and short rib. We also ordered some veggies and sides which were all fine. If you get the long mushrooms, you cook them in the foil pan. But we accidentally discovered they are tastier directly on the grill. I recommend this restaurant if you're in the area. I do hope they have beer and sake soon. Didn't feel complete haha. And thank you to our server David. He was great.

Decided to go on a Sunday and there was definitely a wait of about 75mins which was fine because ahead of time we put our name on the waitlist but just so you know they're popular and for many good reasons! The place is cute, in the middle of little Tokyo so it is street parking. They have a self service drink and soft serve ice cream bar and also milk tea! Ben was our server and he was amazing and super sweet and he explained how we could order our items through a tablet system and everything comes out super fast. Everything was delicious and worth the price obviously the meat was delish but the salmon carpaccio and Japanese wagyu rice were superb! The portions weren't big so it was great for trying more things but I will definitely be back and can't wait to try chubby curry as well

First time ever & wanted to see what the hype was about - and it really lived up to the hype!!! Everything was really good - all the meat cuts were flavorful and tender, the nigiri, carpaccio & handrolls were good & the wide variety of sides/veggies/appetizers really helped balance everything out. Okay the steamed egg was literally soooo good! Great experience overall, especially because of Jonny our server (tysm)! Super personable, attentive, and created a great first experience. P.S - they also have a serve yourself milk tea & soft serve area! Best way to end the meal - all in one place.

First time coming here. We're from Northern California and been waiting for this location to open up ever since we saw the sign a few years back. All I can say is, "the wait was worth it!" Since this was our first time, we opted for the Silver tier. They have 3 tiers in total and we will definitely try out the Gold tier on our next visit, but don't get me wrong the quality of the meat was excellent for being the lowest tier. Our server John Kim was very helpful and attentive. Knowing that this was our first rodeo, he made a few suggestions on what to try first and also gave us tips on how to cook/grill our meats. Overall the experience we had was more than exceptional both in food quality and the staff specially our server John! Until we return, WaWhat?!?!?!?

Nessie was great. The meats are high quality and all you can drink regular drinks. Only downfall is no alcohol drinks. Small location but still roomy. Service was fast. However a long wait but makes sense due to the quality of meat.

In order to describe how this buffet works, the closest analogy I can use is that of a Korean BBQ. The quality and quantity of wagyu cuts depends on the the level that you chose, which is basically what you paid. You read that right: WAGYU Wagyu beef everything. We got the middle option (Gold) and after tax and tip, it was just under $100 per person. My sister told us to make a reservation because without it, there will be a super long wait. The tea is amazing. They have milk tea as one of the drinks! They also have soft serve. Amazing sushi!! I know, we ordered sushi in a wagyu buffet, but it was worth it. Staff is amazing. Cool space. Good thing they have high ceilings because of all the smoke. Speaking of smoke, their in-table vents are working great because I didn't walk out smelling like a line order cook.

Today I had a chance to be in Little Tokyo/Downtown area,So my friends and I end up at Chubby Cattle for lunch and here is what I think. Service : Our server was "Neil" and he was nice,friendly and taking care of us pretty good and he did step in to help us cook those meats as well and brought everything we asked for.Only service was already 5 stars! Thank you Neil. Food : We did the Silver one and it was worth it.Their quality of meats are there! As a Wagyu lover like I am I can tell when the restaurants claim that they use Wagyu and it actually not but Chubby Cattle actually used Wagyu and you can taste it! Good job you guys.The Argentina shrimps was good,Sashimi and sushi was good,Salad was fresh.We did ordered fried calamari as well and it cook to perfection! For beverage there are a self serve station and you can pick your own drinks.Soda (Can) Frozen drinks,Hot tea (It's all included) and don't forget to help yourself with soft serve ice cream at the end of your meal.FYI on Feb 2025 they don't have any alcohol beverage yet but they are working on it and will be available soon! Vibe : Modern Yakiniku restaurant and they did pretty good with smoke and smell.I came home with hardly smell anything on my sweater. If I have a chance to come back to Little Tokyo area I will definitely be back!

Server: Robin Ambience: Due to it being in Little Tokyo, their design leans a little more towards the traditional Japanese Izakaya: parties siting close together, booming music, open-plan dining room, adorable neon decor along the walls, and two claw machines. The music, sad boy EDM, is loud but not overbearing. The seating is quite close together without being cramped. It lends very well to an evening of overindulgence and gossip between friends. Parking is convenient as the parking lot ($15) is right next to the store--a brilliant move by the location scouter. Little Tokyo is notorious for being difficult when it comes to parking so designing a concept right next to a parking garage is a stroke of genius. After circling the neighborhood for 10 minutes, we decided to use the garage. The food: It's an AYCE (all you can eat) style KBBQ (Korean barbecue). AYCE KBBQ is well known in Los Angeles so in order to stand out, the establishment has to justify the price point. Wagyu is the main draw for Chubby Cattle. You will not see low grade brisket here. Each choice of meat is highly marbled, the menu also lists them by breed of cow (A5 vs Full blood wagyu etc). On top of the beef and pork choices, there is a handful of seafood dishes. My table only ventured into the scallop section so I will not comment on the seafood side. Price: Silver $55 basic choices, general wagyu Gold $75 basic + one choice of specialty appetizer and meat. Diamond $85 basic + two choices of specialty appetizer and meat. I would say the speed of service and quality of meat justify the price point. Most AYCE KBBQ places nowadays charge around $30-50 a person. Chubby Cattle is only $20-30 more on top of it depending on the menu you choose. Whereas most places have a slight wait between you ordering and getting the meats, this place is quick. You don't give your order to a server, it's all done through an iPad that is kept at the table. The time it takes between pressing "Sent to Kitchen" and the meat arriving is under 4 minutes. Impressive. The meats are not served frozen, either. I thoroughly enjoyed Chubby Cattle. It reminded me of everything that I loved of touring through Tokyo. My friend even says it reminded him of Taiwan.

BEN IS AN AMAZING SERVER. This has changed our Japanese experience. The meat. The sushi. The service. Being able to be on a waitlist too since this place is so popular. I think we're going to come here every birthday we have. Gosh. Wagyu is sooo good. Free milk tea as well and soda and everything.

Nessie who happened to be our server saved my dog from a burning building, and afterwards let me borrow his lambo to take my dog to the vet. Jk but on the real, Nessie took great care of us. It was my bf's birthday and we got the gold tier, but we felt like diamond tier frfr. The quality of meat is unmatched and I recommend this specific location for their service, cleanliness and yummy meats!

Came out here for a pre valentines dinner to beat the crowds and wow probably the best ayce experience I've had period. The ordering system in place here is extremely easy to use and timely. Paired with exceptional service, you never wait long at all for your food to arrive. Very special shout out to our server Nessie, who was wildly attentive and friendly, knowledgeable on the menu and helped us plenty with cooking our more delicate meats to ensure we had the most optimal taste. We ordered from the diamond menu and I think it really is the best deal especially since you're already committing to have a more luxurious meal. We chose all the A5 options for our specialty meats and after having those I felt like the meal was already satisfying. The seafood dishes were altogether exceptional but not by any means the stand outs of the night. Great selection of side dishes to order, adored the bonito steamed egg, tar tar, and karaage. Stand out meats were the full blood spare ribs, Wagyu otoro, Australian A5 with egg, and the beef tongue platter. They also have unlimited drinks like soda cans, lemonade, milk tea etc very convenient self service. We waited nearly 2 hrs for our table via the yelp waitlist but I mean the restaurant is in the heart of little Tokyo so just join the queue and kill some time it's very much worth the wait.

Came here for my gf and I's 5 year anniversary and everything about this place was great. 3 tiers of quality meat, unlimited drinks, and very helpful and attentive staff. It being our first time, we decided to go with the Diamond tier as it allows you to order 4 total special meats along with optional selections from any of the Gold and Silver tiers (Silver being AYCA meat). Nessie was our helper and he was really the best you can have. Super helpful, attentive and friendly to us. Top all around experience.

Chubby Cattle We had an amazing dining experience at Chubby Cattle! A huge shoutout to our server, John K., who went above and beyond with his kindness, attentiveness, and outstanding service throughout our meal. The food was phenomenal -- the meat quality is always top-notch, and the salmon is a must-have (seriously, we order it every time!). On top of that, the unlimited drinks, soft serve, milk tea, and more take the experience to the next level. Parking is also a breeze with the garage right next door, making the whole visit stress-free. This place never disappoints, and we'll absolutely be back again. Highly recommend!

What a treat to be able to eat as much wagyu as you want! We got the diamond tier to try everything. The meat quality was good and all the appetizers were yummy too. The service was great, our server was very attentive. I liked the tablet since it made it easy to order. The drinks from the self serve station were convenient and not too sweet! There's a parking lot in the back which is very much needed in this area. The restaurant itself is very nicely renovated. I would come with a few people so you can try different things. We definitely tapped out before our time was up since wagyu is sooo heavy after a few rounds. Getting some kimchi and veggies would help!

My girlfriend and I came here for my birthday and it was a great experience. The meat quality, especially the wagyu otoro was so melt-in-your-mouth buttery. Every meat that Nessie, our waiter, recommended was so tender and he cooked it to perfection for the best eating experience. Which brings me to my next point, the service. Our waiter Nessie caterted to us so much, helping us cook, giving us tips and tricks for grilling and personally tending to refling our sides. All the staff made sure our table was clean, and our grills were always changed before we had to ask. Great service, great food and a great birthday experience. We will be back!

I had such an amazing experience at Chubby Cattle in Little Tokyo! I highly recommend it. The food was really good, and our server, Johnny, was amazing. He recommended the best cuts of meat, was very personable, and helped us with grilling whenever we needed. I highly recommend trying the finger meats and the thinner wagyu/brisket-style meats. The ambiance is really nice with cozy vibes and beautiful wall décor. Just a heads-up: the line can get long, so I suggest coming earlier in the day. We waited two hours at 2 PM on a Saturday.

The most indulgent and delicious AYCE bbq I've ever had. Our server, Neil, was incredibly helpful and attentive. He knew each cut of meat and the perfect way to cook it. We got the Gold Tier for $75, and were able to order 10 items every 5 minutes. The short rib and finger meats were the most tender. Their nigiris were good too but we focused on the meats. I will say we had meat sweats by the end of the meal and probably over did it but still worth it!

Always wanted to try Chubby Cattle since I really like their sister brand, Mikiya Shabu! We ordered the Gold Set and the meats were great. I really loved all of them and thought there were so many options. Besides Yakiniku, you can also order sushi! They also have many drink options such as soda, lemonade, etc. They also have a soft serve machine. I thought the service was really nice. They showed us how to cook the meat and were very attentive. The one thing I noticed was that there were a couple of flies that kept flying near our food, which was kinda annoying. Not sure if that was our area or if we were near the back of the kitchen.

Worth the price. All you can eat sushi and wagyu, with unlimited sodas, milk tea, slushes, hot tea, and ice cream?! Who can beat that? All the meat cuts from the silver tier are still premium cuts- very delicious. The Gold and Premium tier offers cold and raw dishes and Japanese A5 wagyu. The only difference between gold and premium tier is that you get 1 selection per 6 people for A5 wagyu and 1 selection per 4 people for the cold/raw selection and that's it, while premium tire allows 2 selections. I highly recommend using the salt as the sauce for all the meats. It's the cherry on top. As for the service and ambiance, it's accommodating for small and large groups. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

This place was sooooo good we got the diamond. We got on the wait list an hour prior and went by faster than we thought. We still had a few people ahead of us but they sat promptly. Our server Neil took the time to explain the menu and grilled our premium meats for us. He made the experience so much better. Good service always helps the meal taste better.

Food: amazing. Can't complain about ayce wagyu! The options on the menu were abundant, my partner and I got the gold tier (there are three total, gold is the middle of the three). There are unlimited drinks with the option of milk tea, frozen lemonade slushy, and soda cans. The milk tea and frozen lemonade were both really good too! Pretty much everything we tried on the menu was good but I will say the truffle fries were too salty and the spinach was okay. I also really liked the yellow tail nigiri and the wasabi, quality reminded me of what you find in Japan. Service: a lot of young workers, very friendly, attentive, and communicative. You have 90 mins to dine, and at 70 mins we got a 10 minute reminder to get our last orders in. Every 5 mins, you can order a maximum of 10 menu items so I would suggest being routinely diligent with that to make sure you get to try everything! Orders are done on a tablet but the servers still come very often to deliver food, take away trays, and check on you. Ambiance: melodic edm lol and intimately lit. I noticed the ice was kept in an ice bucket you'd find in a hotel room but it's their soft opening so maybe at some point they'd have an ice machine haha. It's great that the drink cups are to-go because I definitely refilled my drink to take with me. There is an ice cream machine that I fully forgot about so don't skip on a sweet treat! I'll definitely be back and really enjoyed my experience here :)

Ok this is my first time coming to one of the Chubby Cattle restaurants.. Amazing selection of meats.. service was top notch and definitely will be coming back. The place is located in Little Tokyo near many other shops, restaurants and dessert spots..
