Google
I would give 3.5 stars. We enjoy the food and definitely will go back to try some more. My teen said the pineapple bun with egg & chicken filet is good, especially if you eat it fresh & hot. The Ovaltine style french toast is a nice try if you are tired of the original version. Curry fish ball is average, it’s not spicy. Satay beef noodle is good. Curry chicken filet with spaghetti is soso, I find that most of their curry dishes are not that spicy and it’s lacking the HK curry flavor. White sauce is better than curry sauce. The sizzling dish of mixed pork chop & chicken filet and sausage is average. 紅豆冰 Red Bean drink is soso coz the red bean is not good enough, you can only taste the red bean skin, not the whole bean. but overall the food is okay enough to make us wanna come back again

We been here 2 times. The foods here are fine and the location is perfect but the server is really upsetting us. The attitude on his face I cannot describe, he seems not happy with his role. The second time he did not serve us water hence no tips. Good luck.

The other reviews on here that gave it 3 stars or less are pretty harsh reviewers. It’s really not as bad as they say! The atmosphere/decor is immaculate, giving it such a Hong Kong vibe. Makes me feel like I’m actually there! Servers/waiters were super nice. The food was very flavorful, not expensive as others would say and overall very good. The waiter was nice enough to give us the breakfast combo even though it was past the time it said for the combo. The HK style milk tea and the lemon tea were very good! I would def come back again no doubt. Especially the fact that it’s also in Brooklyn is a plus

Google
Food: 5 good hk style dishes. Interested twist to how their chicken was flavored, also very tender. Portions were SMALL compared to other HK Cafes. Fries were yum fried Korean style. Atmosphere: 4 for being original, more hk style theme and color decor. Service was alright in the beginning. Nothing compared to Legend Cafe service. Ultimately it was the waiters response when we asked if there was a difference between credit card vs cash. He sounded agitated and poked at the receipt. Meaning we should have read, before asking such a rhetorical question. Nah man we asked as you were handing us the receipt. But we will return bc food was hit the spot!!!

Google
Top notch spot, get their noodles, fried anything, iced mixed tea n coffee. Avoid their gimmicky chicken stuffed wings, not worth. Trust, everything else is good and affordable. Much better than HK tea and sushi, and Kowloon.

Google
This was a fun place to brunch and definitely enjoyed the atmosphere! The food was top notch. The flavor was a bomb, especially the pineapple bun sandwich. Portions are standard and was filling. The vibe is trendy, flashy, and cute. Tables and seating were spacious and clean. Contrary to the decor, it was very easy to hold a conversation there with minimal ambient noise. The service was good with the staff being attentive. I will say that because there were a lot going on in the restaurant, the we did need to flag the waiter a few times, but when the waiters were there, service was excellent. Overall, it is a great Sunday brunch spot and definitely will be coming back again. Highly recommend!

Let's just start from the moment I walked in. I really like the way the decor was put together. I seemed like a lot of thought and heart went into designing the place. Props to the designers. So I ordered a take out with a pasta in tomato sauce, a soup and a drink. They told me 10 minutes. Ok I sat there for 25 minutes then got up and went to the counter and ask for my food. The food was sitting on the counter the whole time. Alright this was their soft opening let's forgive them, but they had like 8 ppl working there too, but let's move on. The pasta with tomato sauce has like maybe 5 teaspoons of tomato sauce. Absolutely no flavor. There's a lot of cheese, way too much. The soup was delicious and the tea was good for what it's worth. But the service is bad even though they were polite, it's just disorganized. The I went for a dine in the second time. Not many improving in terms of service and food quality. It's still very poorly done.

I recently visited Chun Hongkong Cafe, and I must say, the atmosphere was fantastic. The newly designed interior exudes a very cool Hong Kong vibe, making it a great place to hang out with friends. However, when it comes to the food, I was somewhat disappointed. The dishes were average and didn't quite meet my expectations. In particular, I would advise against ordering the sticky rice chicken wings. Priced at $20, they were a complete letdown and felt like a waste of money. If you've never been to this place, it might be worth trying it out for the ambiance alone. But personally, I don't think I'll be returning.

Yelp
I love this place. Everything is so Hong Kong. I prefer this place over HK Tea & Like Cafe. The decor/ambience is nice and CLEAN; the service was attentive. Everything was so Hong Kong. It was like I got transferred there except it is way cleaner & the service was nicer. lol The portions are also perfect & tasty. I do not want to gorge to just finish eating whatever I ordered. Stop lying to yourself because food taste good when it's freshly made, not the next day in the microwave. lol Highly recommend their HK milk tea! Best in Brooklyn that I have tried!

Yelp
Decor and ambiance exceeded my expectations. Photos are nice but don't capture the allure. But sadly, I was quite disappointed with the food, which was lacking in appearance and pricier than the average HK cafe. Ham and egg sandwich - very sad looking. Taste is decent but looks like something everyone can make at home. Hk style waffle - I was thinking it'd be like the waffles that you can find at snack shops in hk. They're usually big, fragrant, and lathered with peanut sauce + condensed milk without being too overwhelming on the palate. But when I opened the box, I was surprised by the small size and uneven cutting. Literally the size of those dash mini waffles. Definitely not worth it for $7+. I think they added peanut sauce and crushed peanuts on the inside. I appreciate the creativity with the crushed peanuts, but the texture and peanut butter used made it too heavy. It had very minimal condensed milk, so I decided to add some extra condensed milk at home but it made it even heavier, which is my fault. I would not recommend this. Scrambled egg with satay beef pineapple bun - they didn't skimp on the satay beef, which was very tender and saucy. I would've never thought of this combo and I'm still not quite sure how I feel about it, but I'd recommend this to try at least! It's almost $12, which seems kind of pricey for what it is, but it's definitely one of the newer items to grace HK cafes. Maybe we'll be seeing this at more places. Id come back to try their rice/noodle dishes. And I would like to dine in to really bask in the environment.

Yelp
Food was in general, ok. Prices are a bit expensive for what it is compared to other HK cafe spots around the area. I do enjoy their beef stew noodle soup though as it's quite similar to another spot that I used to love but sadly closed down. But the amount they serve is kinda small compared to the price they charge. The Ovaltine milk lava French toast was ok/decent as well. My dad tried the wonton noodle soup and thought it was decent. On to what i didn't like. Singapore style stir fried vermicelli (sing chow chow mai)...fairly bland, onions were not cooked enough so they were slightly raw and not really enjoyable. Yeung chow fried rice- again, the onions were not cooked enough and were slightly raw. Husband thought it was bland as well and was disappointed. Overall, seems like they dont have enough "wok hei" for dishes like fried rice and the stir fried noodles. Place looks cute, like old HK style diners. If you come, I'd probably stay away from the stir fried stuff.

Yelp
Good new addition to the neighborhood. A more modern decor to the typical HK style cafes around the area. Was able to sample the menu before its grand opening and was really impressed with the flavors. The beef stew noodles were definitely the highlight for me. The beef was well cooked and super tender, best I've had. The curry fish balls had that curry taste and well seasoned. The salt pepper squid was good too. The baked rice casseroles were a good portion size. Only disappointment are the drinks -- coconut jelly drink was a slush but not very flavorful. I would say that the pricing is a bit more expensive than other nearby HK cafes though. Ordered takeout from here few times as well. Friendly staff.

Yelp
I was just asking the staff at KST (Hong Kong style cafe in Manhattan) why they don't have a location in Brooklyn and this restaurant pops up. Definitely welcomed as there aren't much of these types of cafes around. We came in around 5pm and got seated quickly. We ordered the baked chicken over spaghetti, French toast, lava crunch ovaltine toast, beef belly with rice rolls and some curry fishballs. The ovaltine toast was interesting and nostalgic as I drank it growing up. Nice crunch. The spaghetti was ok, portions were a bit on the smaller side. Real winner was their regular French toast, which caught me by surprise. Perfectly crispy, peanut butter filled and drenched in syrup. This was so yummy that we ordered a second one shortly after. The ambiance reminds you of HK.

Yelp
I heard mixed reviews about this place and finally decided it was time for me to test it out. The ambiance is absolutely amazing, with movie posters of iconic Hong Kong actresses and canto pop playing. They had an alluring menu that reminded me of Mabu in Chinatown. The ovaltine french toast is a yummy chocolate- take on an American delight. I got the satay beef pineapple bun. It was pretty flavorful and the spice did kick in. I definitely would come back and recommend coming here with family. Support your local restaurants!

Yelp
Cute spot, good variety but food is OK. We had the pineapple bun, imitation shark fin soup, mustard green noodle soup, rice noodle with peanut sauce. The bun and rice noodle as well as the shark fin soup were ok, nothing spectacular. I would not recommend the mustard green noodle soup with pork. I'd need to come back to try other items.

Yelp
We've been impressed by our first visits to Chun Hong Kong Café (凱哥茶餐廳). Chun has a more focused (smaller) menu than nearby Like Café, but seems to execute better than the latter. Dishes we've had include: - Baked Chicken Cutlet with Spaghetti in Portuguese Sauce 焗葡國雞扒. $12.95; $14.10 with tax. A very good rendition of a chicken cutlet baked with spaghetti, cheese, and an Alfredo sauce. The chicken seems to have been fried before baking, as there is some outer crispness while the meat is juicy and tender. - Hong Kong Style Milk Tea 港式奶茶 (Cold): $5.50; $5.99 with tax. Leans on the sweet side, and could be silkier. - "Singapore Style Stir Fried Vermicelli" 星洲米粉: $11.50; $12.52 with tax. Good -- 4 stars out of 5. Chun's version of Singapore Mei Fun is better than most. For some reason, Singapore Mei Fun in many other restaurants have gone downhill, as either the signature curry flavors of the dish are missing, or the ratio of other ingredients to noodles have dramatically thinned. Chun's version has the right flavors and doesn't skimp on ingredients. - "Dai Pang Style Stir Fried Vermicelli" 大鵬炒米; Tai Pan Style Mei Fun: $12.95; $14.10 with tax. Also better than most, also 4 stars out of 5. The squid and scallops were perfectly cooked. The shrimp were slightly overcooked, and the pickled cabbage seemed to be steamed instead of stir-fried. This dish has a better balance and mix of ingredients than similar offerings from other restaurants. - Baked Chicken Cutlet with Cheese and White Sauce 芝士白汁焗雞扒. $12.95; $14.10 with tax. A little heavier than the Portuguese sauce version. - Baked Seafood with Cheese and Spaghetti 芝士焗海鮮: $18.95; $20.63 with tax. Good, but consider a baked chicken cutlet instead, as seafood doesn't fare as well in a bake, and because they do a great job with the baked chicken cutlets. Other: There is a 5% discount for paying with cash instead of credit / debit card. Suggested tips are based on post-tax subtotals and start at 18%. There is a well-maintained unisex restroom with ADA grab bars.

Yelp
Came here over the holidays and it was fairly empty on a Thursday night with my family. We ordered scrambled egg and seafood chow fun, baked pork chop rice, Hk style western style fried spaghetti, satay beef noodles, and rice rolls with mixed sauce. They definitely excel in their stir fry dishes as they all came out with a lot of "wok Hei". The scrambled egg seafood chow fun was one of our favorite dish. The noodles were smooth and al dente, the sauce was well balanced without it being too salty and it was loaded with many seafood such as shrimp, scallops and calamari. They were all very big and fresh. Their western style fried spaghetti, although well made technique wise, I felt it was a little too sour to my liking. The salty beef noodle was one of my favorite and it's the flavor was legit like how you would get it if you were in Hong Kong. The peanut butter was very fragrant and I can taste a hint of curry. The amount of beef that was given was also more than what you typically get in other hk style cafes. Unfortunately, they fell short on the baked pork chop rice and the rice rolls. The pork chop rice portion was on the smaller side and although they used a really good piece of meat (versus some places gives you really fatty meat you hardly have anything to eat), it's missing the onions and bell peppers which is needed for the distinct taste in the sauce. The rice rolls were also not steamed long enough so it was a little hard. We also ordered their iced lemon tea and although it's a little too sweet for me (and it's my fault for forgetting to order less sweet), I felt it had a strong tea flavor and one of the best ones I've had in the area including KST and legend cafe. The restaurant has an old Hong Kong vibe, like what the newer hk style cafes are like nowadays. It's clean and spacious including the restroom. The staff were friendly and we didn't feel pressured or rushed but it could be because they weren't busy at that time. I would definitely come back again to try other items on their menu.

Yelp
The place is beautifully renovated and decorated. It's spacious booths and huge bathroom is a plus. There's a lot of variety on the menu but the prices are high. We started with a spam and egg macaroni soup breakfast. All salt in the broth. The baked pork chop portion is small and the sauce had absolutely no taste. The wings were good and well made but didn't make me feel like I need to eat it again. And it was too pricey at $20. The salt and pepper squid was the best thing imo. They need to work on the basic flavoring of their food.

Yelp
Super cute Hong Kong with street decor - luckily snagged a table booth for 4 at 7PM on a Sunday with no wait! There's a lot of Hong Kong classics on the menu, we came to try the baked rices (pork chop and chicken) and the Ovaltine toast, both with lived up to the hype, along with the dry beef noodles. I also enjoyed the sticky rice wings at $20 for 3 wings. I wouldn't recommend the salt and pepper squid or the beef enoki haw fun in a clay pot - not stand outs in terms of flavor. Like others mentioned the staff is very earnest but might need some more trainings on the menu - some dishes can be very similar and customers like myself would appreciate to know what distinguishes each dish from the next! We spent about $130 for 4 people and we're pretty full. I'd come back, it's a super cute spot.

Yelp
Came around 11am on a weekend and didn't have to wait and was seated right away. Plenty of seating. Service was amazing as we did request for more napkins and change of plates and there was staff around at all times to ask for things. Unfortunately, the food as not as great. Food portions were really small for their prices and most of the noodle dishes were pretty bland. Felt liek we had to order a lot more dishes to be full. Given that they just opened recently, hopefully there will be improvements. Ordered the following: - HK Style Curry Fishballs (8) $8.50 - Rice roll w. Mixed Sauce $6.95 - HK Style Waffle $6.95 - Ovaltine Crunchy Lava French Toast $6.95 - Baked Pork Chop w. Cheese & HK Special Sauce (Spaghetti) $12.95 - Scrambled Egg & Seafood Chow Fun $13.95 - House Special Salt & Pepper Squid $11.95 - Wonton Noodle Soup $9.50 - Fried Wings (6) $8.50 - Chun's Red Bean Slush $7.95 - HK Style Coffee w. Tea (cold) $5.50

Yelp
Portions are kind of small and expensive for the size. A dish that you would normally share is just for one here. Inside is decorated nicely.

Yelp
The interior design was absolutely amazing. Very authentic Cantonese culture. The food was super delicious. The waiters were very friendly, nice and fast. They use iPad to take orders.

Yelp
The short: welcome to the neighborhood, Chun's Cafe! 4 stars with the potential for 5 -- service is incredibly friendly, some standout / unique / delicious dishes, and very cool ambiance. The longer: we came as a walk-in on their soft opening on a Friday evening. They graciously accommodated us within 10 minutes, and every single member of their team was so, so friendly. They did a great job with the interior decor. We started with the chicken wings. They came out fresh and piping hot. Then, we shared the beef chow fun with gravy, the rice casserole with white sauce & chicken (a delightfully delicious surprise) , and ended with a Ovaltine French toast for dessert. The toast was AMAZING. I can't wait to come back to try their shakes & other toasts, and I'm sure their breakfast would be delicious, too. JFYI: it's cash only!

Yelp
Chun HK Cafe is a welcome addition to the neighborhood! Came for a quick lunch with my dad after discovering this new HK cafe, and we were pleasantly surprised overall! The interior decor is nostalgic of HK for sure - from the neon lights to the subway station stops and booths. My dad & I decided to sample a few staples - imitation shark fin soup, curry fishballs, rice noodles with mixed sauce, spam & egg sandwich, HK milk tea, and iced lemon tea. He also ordered the bitter melon & beef, which he said was actually pretty good and portions were decent. The imitation shark fin soup ($4.50) here is tasty as is, but adding some pepper and vinegar takes it to the next level. Curry fishballs are a miss - the curry is disappointing and seems more like a cornstarch slurry sauce with a hint of curry flavor. Rice rolls were good, and had a good balance of hoisin/peanut butter sauce. I enjoyed the spam & egg sandwich, which had a decent spam portion compared to other HK cafes. Drinks were made well, and I appreciate that the iced drinks are in a to go cup. Prices here are definitely on the steeper side for a HK cafe and this type of food. For the 2 of us plus an extra milk tea & sandwich to go, it came out to $58 before tip. Service here is reminiscent of HK - in a good way! The wait staff is kind, and are mostly younger folks. The take out bags are really cute too.

Yelp
A solid 2.5 - Soft Opening... and they need it. Food: 2.5/5 Vibe: 4/5 Service: 3.5/5 A new Cha Chaan Tang... but alas... does not rival our fav on 86th St. Maybe it's too new, they need to refine their menu... or recipe. Decor is cute. Booth & table seatings. Mong Kok poster. Brings you a visual of Kowloon. Food: pineapple bun sandwich was OK, the baked rice (chicken cutlet & pork cutlet) was decent. But wow... the rest was so mid. Rice Noodles in mixed sauce (Gi Churn Fun) was terrible... the sauce was weird... not balance with peanut sauce and some noodles were undercooked. The French toast... WTF is this? It tasted undercooked and slimy... like you can taste the egg batter... the salt & pepper squid was drowned in oil - don't get this. The chicken wings... crispy w/o being too oily, surprisingly, the only solid item. Even their HK Milk tea was weak... and my beloved red bean shaved ice drink... was just total crap. I don't see this replacing our regular spot... while it's closer, I'm willing to travel for better food. #brooklyneats #yelplife

Yelp
This new place really stands out with its unique decor, way different from the typical Hong Kong cafés in Brooklyn. The retro Hong Kong vibe made it feel like I was in a spot in Manhattan. But the food was a letdown. The curry fish balls didn't seem cooked in the curry sauce long enough, if at all. I ordered the chicken and pork chop over rice. Since either chicken or pork was about $9, and the combo was $14, I thought I'd get a decent portion of both. Instead, it felt like half portions. Plus, the fried pork chop wasn't great--the batter was falling off, and the pork was chopped with the bone in, which led to me painfully biting into a bone shard. On the bright side, the staff was really nice. They suggested things they liked when my friend couldn't decide and even warned us about items that weren't up to par yet, like how the beef in the beef stew was pretty tough that day, so they didn't recommend it.

Yelp
love this new addition to the neighborhood, my husband and i come as often as possible. there are other hk cafes in the hood as well but it just doesnt hit like this place does. im forever grateful for restaurants that are able to accommodate babies and strollers. theyre closed on mondays! they also get busy pretty quickly so id recommend coming in at off hours if you can menu is pretty much all the classics and it seems like they really try to keep it as simple as possible which i love because nothing beats simple and classic.

Yelp
I walked into Chun's Cafe feeling like I was in a TVB series set in the 1920's, with Kathy Chow (RIP). The space brought me back to Hong Kong, walls lined with photos of HK celebrities, snapshots of the streets of HK as well as street signages. Unfortunately, the food was only mediocre. The best dish we ordered was the cheung fun with peanut sauce. It was a tad sweet, but much better than other dishes we've tried, including the curried pork skin and squid, ham and egg sandwich and imitation birds nest soup. The HK style milk tea was freshly brewed for us and pretty decent as well. Otherwise I'd pass on the food.
google avatar

Gary M.

Yelp
I was excited for a new Hk cafe to open up in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, there are still improvements needed. Portion size was small in comparison to other cafes. Prices were higher as well. The salt and pepper squid was too salty. The rice rolls needed more sauce and they were chewy. The decor is great for pictures but I wish the food was cheaper and better.
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant has unique decoration. You will feel like you are in Hong Kong. There are many photo spots that you can take pics of while waiting for your food. Services are good too.

Yelp
Chun Hong Kong Cafe is a charming homage to the classic Hong Kong-style cafes, complete with a nostalgic, retro interior. It offers all the staples, from pineapple bun sandwiches and comforting macaroni soups to baked rice dishes. Their Ovaltine lava French toast is a must-try. The pineapple bun sandwich is also really good the bun was perfectly crispy and flaky. The only thing is when there's a line out the door the person handling the line wasn't organized. We were looked passed and almost skipped while we were at the front of the line.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute decor and provides old style Hong Kong vibes. Sadly food was not up to par. They definitely spent a lot of money renovating and the meticulous details were shown. The HK milk tea was not smooth and water down. The black pepper pork chop with rice was too small of a portion and flavor was mediocre. The flat noodle beef was damn good and I would get again. Attentive staff and lots of seating. Would give it another try to see if it was a one off.

Yelp
New kid on the block. It replaced the vacant lot next to Starbucks that use to be a McDonald's. Food wasn't bad at all. As some of the other reviews said here, the associates were young but they were attentive imo. Salty fish chicken FR - this was very good. I enjoyed this. The coveted salty fish was in every bite. Beef chow fun - good. Portion was generous and beef was well seasoned. Mixed sauce rice noodles - this was lackluster to me. Mid. Fried wings (6) - pleasant. Loved this. Well seasoned and fried. Imitation shark fin soup - not bad. I'd order again. One of the better cafe spots. A lot of competitions here on 18th for good Chinese eats. Good luck to yall.

Yelp
Beautifully decorated diner with tons of beautiful memories and places of HK. Menu was large and had all the typical HK dishes. Food was decent and staff was friendly to our group of 8. Was not too packed on a weekend dinner night. Loved the HK milk tea and all the drinks I tried. Noodles were very good and baked items were made decently as well. Would come back for lunch/dinner. Food came out quick too!

Yelp
Food was good. We got 1 iced hk milk tea, 1 iced lemon tea, chung fun, olvateen toast and a baked Portuguese chicken rice to share. It came out around $38 before tax and tip. Portion was on a small side, but im not mad about it. I saw a lot of reviews about bad customer services. I dont know we were lucky today or they were improved. We got seated right after we walked in. Got menu right away. Food came out very quick also. Everything was very smooth! Will return to try other dishes!

Yelp
Stumbled here for dinner since the car drove by. They definitely put a lot of effort in the decor and stuff but it doesn't mean it's cohesive or doesn't have flaws. Overall the food is higher quality than many similar cha chaan teng nearby. Its prices are higher than nearby too which I haven't fully wrapped my head around whether it's acceptable for me. I personally find their neon signs too overwhelming and hurts the eyes when you enter. The textured glass doesn't let us see inside which seems less friendly and approachable as a restaurant. The decor inside the seating area is a mishmash of various Hong Kong scenery items. It looks messy to me when I recognize elements from different neighborhoods. It doesn't make this place feel welcoming. All the posters of bustling streets look tiring to me rather than vibrant. They made a big effort to use the same anime style guy's face across their printed goods. Good for effort but I don't think it's the appropriate logo for this establishment. I wanted to praise their menu for not having any typos. It's often a beige flag for me when menus are off. But then later I saw how their paper cups and receipt use a mix of simplified and traditional Chinese. I hate the inconsistency. How hard is it to catch this and how hard is it for Menu Sifu to add the option of traditional Chinese. We ordered: imitation shark fin soup, satay beef chow fun, baked pork chop over rice, hot milk tea, French toast Imitation shark fin soup - I didn't try it but my dad said it's better than most other places Baked pork chop over rice - portion seems too small. The dish is so narrow and shallow. The sauce is too watery and tasteless. If this was my dish I'd ask for ketchup. The pork chop was good meat but too thin and breading too rough. Satay beef chow fun - portion seems smaller than other places but kinda worked out due to its heaviness. It's very oily as with most others, so that's an area of improvement. The satay sauce isn't satay enough. If you tell me this is black bean sauce (sans bean) I'd believe you. Otherwise I mostly have praises for this dish. The noodles are fresh and slippery and not stuck together. They added a lot of aromatics that they actually properly sauteed beforehand. Milk tea - the tea blend is right and it's considerably strong compared to many other places but still not strong enough for me. There's a good ratio of evaporated milk too. My mom finds this not thick enough and I think it's due to the insufficient aeration of the tea. Another issue to note is that the cup wasn't filled to the top. My photo was taken immediately upon arrival. Also it wasn't piping hot enough. At $7 my mom found this overpriced. It's on the edge for me. At least it's better than $7 milk teas out there that are way worse. French toast - they use nice fluffy chewy bread. The problem is not soaking the bread in the custard long enough. There's cakey dry bits in the middle. I like how they let us from syrup to condensed milk for free. It didn't feel too oily either. Also I find the little sign they stick onto the bread absolutely useless. Printing a Cantonese phrase doesn't help promote your eatery or the item. Overall solid place with many small details to tweak. I'm pretty sure my family will visit again. PS the AC was too windy

Yelp
This fairly new restaurant was a nice surprise. I wasn't sure what to expect given its low ratings. But, I like the HK theme of the restaurant, which transports you back to HK with its nice decor. The staff were friendly, and there are plenty of booths and tables. Service was quick even though it was quite busy. I didn't feel rushed out of the restaurant. Since I was absolutely starving, I ordered beef with tofu on rice with my favorite drink, HK ice cold milk tea. The dish was pleasantly good. Nice flavors. Tender beef and soft tofu, not silken. The HK ice cold milk tea was just okay. The bathroom is spacious and clean which is a huge positive.... But they have a character (see pic) sitting in the bathroom which is both cute and strange. I would definitely return again to try more dishes.

Yelp
New HK cafe in the area. Food is very solid. I especially enjoy the enoki fatty beef rice, stuffed chicken wing and red bean slush. The fries also had a really nice crisp. The chicken wings while good, is pricey. Will be returning.

Yelp
Cute place to grab some Hong Kong style breakfast. They have specials that run until 11:30am every morning. It includes a hot drink, macaroni/vermicelli dish, and butter toast. If you want to upgrade to a cold drink or instant noodles, it will be $1.50 extra. My husband and I ordered 3 breakfast specials to share plus a crunchy ovaltine lava toast. The place is anesthetically appealing.

Yelp
One star. If you like your noodle soup bland, this is your place. If you like your chicken cutlet, breaded the sameeee way as your popcorn chicken, this is your place. If you like your baked rice dishes slacking flavors, this is your place. Curry fish ball was fair, $5.75 for 8 pieces. Spicy salt & pepper corn - while it was the most delicious thing, it also felt the most expensive. $11 and we didn't even get half of the cob. Salt & pepper squid $9 - it was quite delish and it seems more fair priced than the corn... HK Milk Tea - did not hit the spot Grass Jelly Coconut Drink - our friend says it was good House special red bean slush - $8 or $9, for a house special, it was slacking. All in all, most of the items we ordered LOOKED much better than they tasted. P.S. The staff seem to be a bunch of young high school/college kids. Most of them looked like they aren't ready for the job. Our waiter wasn't really responsive while taking our order. I ordered a soup macaroni but it came out as "Mei fun". He did replace it but he certainly was not enthusiastic about it. Asking for a cup of hot water is so common in chinese restaurants/communities. Guess what, the waiter says, there is no hot water available. Tell me how. And this is your soft opening, I do not recommend anyone going. Good luck!

Yelp
I always crave cha chaan tang (HK cafe) style food and this place hit the spot. The decor is meant to make you feel like you're back in HK and I loved their playlist with all the cantopop songs I grew up listening to. There was a bit of a wait on Sunday at noon but we didn't have to wait more than 20 minutes. We got the imitation shark fin soup, beef chow fun and beef tripe as well as hk style iced milk tea. Everything was very good and authentic. The beef chow fun had great wok hei and a nice char to it which is hard to find nowadays. The soup was probably one of the best I've had in NY, good flavor and they did not skimp on the ingredients. The service could be better, it was not attentive and we had to ask for vinegar several times with our soup. The price to portion ratio is not good, dishes are much smaller than other hk style cafes and prices are also higher. Despite this, I would definitely come back again and try other items as the flavor was there.

Yelp
The hk style cafe is very quaint. Friendly staff and attentive to customers. The food portion is a bit smaller than most other hk style cafe, the price is about the same as most other restaurants with some items being pricier. If you pay with credit card they charge 3% extra. Ordered a pineapple bun with egg and pork chop, the eggs you can order it scrambled or soft scrambled eggs. The pineapple bun is crispy and fresh. Ordered soup udon with wonton and fish ball, it comes with 3 Fishball and 3 shrimp wonton but soup is missing flavor. The 2 orders cost under $25.

Yelp
Legit HK style cafe that's nicely decorated with good or better than usual customer service. I would definitely recommend and come back soon.

Yelp
First time visiting and I dont think I will be back. We sat down and was not served water nor tea I ordered stir fry noodles and condensed milk with butter toast, the waiter even repeated the order to confirm but when the food came out it was noodle soup and the toast was peanut butter with condensed milk. The whole time we ate our food, the waiters were gathered around the register or sitting at a table talking away without acknowledging customers that came in. Once we called for the bill and paid, all the young waiters were gathered around at the register area and did not even say goodbye or thanks for coming.

Yelp
Wanted to try this place out as it recently opened. We got the wings with sticky rice, HK tea, shark fin soup (which was cold?), tripe, baked pork chop, Ovaltine french toast. We left still hungry and for us not worth it. The portions are on the smaller size compared to other HK cafes. Overall, aesthetic is cute but food is pricy for what it is.

Yelp
i've ordered from them a handful of times. it's hit or miss. the mapo tofu was the best dish i had there. i've gotten noodles and rice before and it lacked any real flavor. however their red bean slush was amazing! i personally loved it. the worker by the front was also very nice and attentive.

Yelp
This cafe has a gimmicky interior that screams 'Hong Kong,' but the food lacks flavor, especially the wok hei in the noodles. The milk tea isn't as strong in flavor compared to what you'd find in HK. I visit Hong Kong often, and this place doesn't live up to the standards of a typical HK cafe.

Yelp
we ate there several dishes I forgot to take photo all of them beef tribe soup smells so bad wasnt tastefull it looks terrible.Coconut drink wasnt any taste no flavor just full of ice crush.Service is avarage also They dont have communication beetween the servers.Ambiance was so cool. But in my opinion they didnt deserve 3 or 4 star. One more thing they accepted only cash

Yelp
Went there last night for dinner with friends. The food was decent. The service was okay. But my friends and I had real issues with the way we were billed at the end. First of all, on the front cover of the menu, there is a sticker stating the listed prices are for cash payment. Fine. When the bill came, my dish was listed at a higher figure, and at the bottom of the bill were two total figures -- one cash and one for credit card. The problem was that even if we were paying in cash, we were charged the price for credit card regardless. I asked the waiter and he proudly pointed to the front cover of the menu. My friends and I were confused and actually annoyed that without asking us our form of payment, the restaurant arbitrarily charged us the higher price for credit card. Granted, the difference was not a lot at all,; maybe a couple of dollars. But the way the restaurant charged us left a lot to be desired. It was very presumptuous of the restaurant to do so! Seeing that we were not happy about the situation, all the wait staff actually disappeared! I would seriously warn other customers to tell them which form of payment, and make sure that they don't freely charge you the credits card price when you wish to pay in cash. This is an abuse of business practice. I am sure the NYC Consumer Affairs Dept would like to hear about it. Restaurants serving Chinese food should be better than this. It was disappointing to say the least.

Yelp
Nice decor but way overpriced for such tiny portion of food. The appetizer was a few pieces of mushroom and beef cost $14. Pretty ridiculous. The noodle portions are about 1/3 of other stores for the same price, taste and quality.

Yelp
This place opened up on July, 2024. The inside gives an old school look with the telephone booth and the neon signs. It looks very clean and props to them for keeping the bathrooms clean as well. It has a trendy feel as well with the low hanging lights and a Kaws statue in the bathroom. Now for the food: it's pretty good, the oil was fresh so the fried chicken wings were crispy and delicious. My favorite dish out of several I tried had to be their signature Baked chicken cutlet with cheese and HK special sauce, or C1. You get to choose from rice and spaghetti. When I went, at 12pm, it was busy, so service was slow at first. They did seat us quickly and gave us tea. However they forgot one of our dishes and refilled our tea and water only towards the end of our meal. I still liked it, we're only human, we can't help but make mistakes when overwhelmed. Try this place out and see for yourself!

Yelp
Every time I go to Chuns I get something different and every time the food slaps so damn hard. I salivate when I think about Chuns. The rice dishes are king and their fried chicken is so crunchy and juicy at the same time. I wish I could go every day.

Yelp
Food was okay and I liked the ambiance. Sadly the service was bad, don't know if it was because we were the only none Asian there but the moment we sat down we were ignored took the waiter 10min to give us the menu and even longer to take our order we had to ask the coffee/drink station if we order with them or are they taking our order. When we finally got our food our waiter never came to check up on us. We felt unwelcome and quickly ate our food. When we asked for our check I put my card right away but my waiter decided to have his lunch break right next to us instead of finishing us up. Another employee had to take our check. Safe to say I won't be coming here but they should treat all costumer the same not just their own race.

Yelp
the food was delicious! the " wok hay" was good and the flavor was spot on. i would recommend this place to my friends and family. must give it a try

Yelp
The food was good, service was excellent and the vibes were pretty cool. However one piece of advice would be to get a quieter blender. It was way too loud that made it hard to enjoy the meal with my small children.

Yelp
Food is ok, nothing worth mentioning. Portions on the small side with higher prices. Standard fare and a quarter of the menu items are x out. Very disappointed
