This was an absolutely, lovely place. Now, it is a small place so make a reservation before hand, we did and we still had to wait a little while for a table to open up. With that being said, the manager and waitresses were very accommodating making sure we were ok and bringing us wine and if we wanted a little something to eat we could order, but we just wanted to sit at the table before eating. The manager was very friendly and was apologetic and made sure we got a place to sit. Once we got to our table, the food was amazing. They are a wine bar so if you’re going there for dinner they don’t have a lot of BIG plates. They do have some big plates for dinner but mostly small plates and starters. Everything was delicious, great vibes. An all around nice classy place to eat.

First 5 that I think I have given°!! Super cute location and delicious food! Robin was our server and she was lovely! She was attentive, welcoming, knowledgeable and just all around nice! Parking is a bit of a fuss but once you get there is has a unique vibe combining date night vibes and great after work with coworkers meeting vibe. Close to everything uptown and attached to Aria Restaurant, which is delicious also! Recommend making a reservation bc it is a smaller location. Great selection of wines. 🍷 By bottle or glass! Hidden gem in Charlotte!

This place is excellent!!!! The food was to die for. We had to wait a bit, but it was well worth the wait. The waitress was so friendly, excellent customer service. Definitely worth the trip to try.

Had an amazing experience at Cicchetti in Charlotte NC. The space was super cool and the service was fantastic- our server Robin was incredible. There are half-price wine bottles Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays- what an amazing deal. The food was also terrific. We had the antipasto plate, the ricotta bruschetta and the bresaola small plate. They make a really good dirty martini also. Can’t wait to go back.

We dined at Cicchetti’s for Valentines Day and had a wonderful meal! The space is small, but has plenty of elbow room. You will want to make a reservation. It’s connected to Aria. Parking is always a challenge - we parked in Founders Hall parking garage. This is a wine bar, so you should expect wine for drinks. They do have wine inspired cocktails. Quick shout out to Robin, our server. She was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and her recommendations were on point. Speaking of on point - the food was phenomenal! Small plates situation. We tried their version of a charcuterie board and it was amazing. The cheeses were all very tasty and the focaccia bread is to die for! We also tried the gnocchi and chicken parm. They were great as well, but for the lasagna. Might be the best I have ever tried. Overall, very solid!!! Highly recommend!

My wife and I went here for dinner before we went to the theater downtown and we were not disappointed. This was our first visit to Cicchetti. Everything about this place is great. The have a very extensive wine list and drink menu to go along with their great food. Our server (Rudy) who was on loan from the restaurant next door to help out was amazing. My wife and I are currently not drinking alcohol and he went to the restaurant next door to get me a non-alcoholic beer because cicchetti didn't have any. The tapas here were all delicious but the star of the meal was definitely the dessert. It was a pistachio, strawberry, vanilla ice cream covered in a hardened chocolate and we paired it with some coffees. I can't wait to go back and try some of their vast selection of wines.

Google
I came here because of bruschetta but they no longer have it on the menu. It’s a great place, beautiful vibe, amazing service… but food needs improvement. Ricotta and tomatoes dip recommended by the waitress- tastes like cold hummus… they gave us chips as GF option- whoever put this combination must never tasted it… absolutely horrible!! Filet mignon small plates tasted better but was slightly chewy… An appetizer from Aria was amazing!! Please, improve your food! Learn from Aria next door!

Google
This place is wonderful! The food and service are top-notch. The wine selection is great and the prices are super reasonable. We visited on a Saturday night and I would venture to say they were understaffed. But this rockstar team (including our server, Lucky) made sure everyone's experience was as perfect. You would never know they were short-handed and everyone was exceptionally polite and professional.

Yelp
his restaurant's wine list is an absolute game-changer. Each selection was thoughtfully chosen to complement the flavors of the menu, ensuring that every dish was elevated to its fullest potential. The pairings were pure magic--each wine enhancing the experience, creating a harmonious dance between the food and the glass. From crisp whites that effortlessly balanced light appetizers to bold reds that deepened the flavor of richer dishes, every glass was an adventure of its own. The staff was well-versed in the wines, offering expert recommendations that made the entire experience feel even more curated and special. If you're a wine lover, this list will leave you spellbound, and if you're a novice, the pairings will inspire you to explore more. It's a wine experience that not only complements the meal but elevates it to something unforgettable.

Yelp
Stopped in for dinner before going to see a show at the Blumenthal theater. That's apparently quite a popular spot so was able to easily sit at the bar. The staff was wonderful and very attentive. I have a nut allergy and my server went above and beyond to ensure he noted that for every meal, particularly the dessert. The food was delicious. On a freezing cold night I wanted comfort food, so started with the Caesar salad which was light but with robust flavors. The meatballs were incredible. Full of flavor, moist, and just the right amount of cheese and sauce to pair nicely as well. Ended with a cannoli and espresso martini to really round out the night on a high note. Not overly sweet, but just the perfect dessert combination. Highly recommend as the perfect spot before a show, and will likely make this my new ritual!

Yelp
Our expectations for Cicchetti were wine bar with light bites. Wow were we amazed! We had a later reservation and weren't expecting it to be packed but the hostess and manager walked around both restaurants and bars and tried to find a spot for the two of us to squeeze in but it wasn't happening. We hung out about 15 minutes and a 2-top finally opened up. They have a nice wine selection and we were enjoying the setting, service and wine so much that we ordered another bottle - very rare for us. All of of our dishes were fresh, perfectly seasoned and perfect for sharing. Eddy our server kept us entertained as the place cleared out and the GM checked in a few times (told them we were hurricane refugees) to ensure that everything was OK. We love these pleasant surprises when visiting a new city.

Yelp
Everything slapped here, as the kids say!!! From the service to the drinks to the food. I'm still salivating over it! I started with a salad. Pretty basic and hard to mess up! Our appetizer was tomato braised meatballs and they melted in my mouth! My entree was the Hanger Steak cooked perfectly and a risotto. I think our menu was special since it was a private event but judging from the food we had, their regular menu is probably stellar as well!!

Yelp
Wonderful food and service. You can't beat it for dinner before the opera or a concert.

Yelp
Been meaning to check out Cicchetti for a while now, but glad I got to check it out before a show. Super easy to make a reservation for four (super early) on OpenTable. We had some last minute plan changes so it was easy to update the reservation and we were off to the races. Our reservation was a bit early, but it was nice to take our time and not have to rush to the show later. All of us had not been to Cicchetti, but it's an "offshoot" of Aria - maybe even shares the same kitchen but a smaller menu, with super shareable small plates and WINE. The only (minor complaint) comment I had was the table we were given was a half-bench and two chairs with the table turned at a diamond angle so one person on the bench was nestled in a corner and the other person had a strange seat off the bench without a way to lean back and sit near the table (that person was me). But it worked out in the end because it helped with my posture and engaging my core muscles for the evening. We started with a bottle of wine (that was picked off the shelf). I think most people don't think that this is an actual wine/bottle shop, but it is, and the prices are marked on the bottle. Saves them from having a huge list they have to update all the time. We built our own board of Rosemary Ham (awesome), Prosciutto di Parma (always a good go-to), Montasio Fresca, and the pickled veggies, honeycomb, and grissini that came with the board. We added the Focaccia (at the server's recommendation and we were NOT disappointed. It was so good. After the board, we ordered one order of the Croquette (YUM!) and Italian Egg Salad Bruschetta. Our server was good about telling us how many pieces each thing was so there wasn't any awkward sawing/splitting at the table. We also ordered Gnocchi (YUM), Polenta Fries (EXTRA YUM). Finished the meal with Zeppole and Scookies... though the Zeppoles stole the show. Everything was so good... and the portions were not crazy so we all didn't fall asleep at the show!

Yelp
We came to Cichetti bc Aria was full. Aria recommended their sister restaurant. Service was lacking-- they were not prepared for the overflow from Aria. We sat for more than 10 mins before the co-owner came to check on us; I think there may have been one server or barback; while the bar tender was acting as server as well. Food was decent- the charcuterie board was better than mimosa grill. I would recommend the prosciutto and parm, but the smoked duck that was recommended by the co-owner tasted more like simple ham. Wagyu burger was a good portion and tasty; the chicken cacciatore was ok, the tomato sauce had a ketchup taste and consistency, polenta was nice and smooth.

Yelp
Arrived for our 6 pm reservation before Belk theater event at 8 pm. Ambiance was delightful, May need a small lamp on the table for those with aging eyes! Staff was stretched thin, bartender was also waiting tables, so service was delayed. Food was fine, were out of 3 wine choices i selected, so had water. This was my first visit. Paying our bill was delayed due to staffing, so we had to rush to our event.

Yelp
This place was a great choice. Food was delicious, ambiance was perfect. The bar was on point with my Mosow Mules. Great for groups as well.

Yelp
Espresso martinis were very well made. The vibe is wonderful. We really enjoyed the bar and the service. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
First timers after walking past several times. What a gem located in bustling uptown! The lamb chop, the antipasti salad and the olive flatbread was super flavorful! Wine selection was great and didn't feel overpriced. Perfect dinner place before a show. We'll be back.

Yelp
Pandemics ruin everything . . . almost. When it looked like they couldn't keep the doors open, Cicchetti took a pause and hunkered down. Now they are back and I'm happy for it. Neat! Located inside Aria (or sort of next to it), is this beautiful, Uptown gem serving up little portions of Italian goodness. Cicchetti, which means savory snacks or small side dishes, is the Italian version of Spanish tapas cuisine. And they know how to roll the dough, too. Our party of 14 was expertly served by just two servers who not only knew the ropes but the passwords to nearly all the hidden spots in town. Yeah, they were that good. Happy, happy, happy. We ordered the Bocconcini small bites. At $16 it was quite a bargain with fried oysters, calamari, shrimp, and a few other things that delighted us. Of course, we lubricated with plenty of wonderful wine. Cool. Several in our party ordered gnocchi and oohed and awed and gasped in delight. If my dish was not so delicious, I would have felt slighted. Next time, though, it's an order of gnocchi for me, too. BTW they have a wonderful little pantry of pastas, sauces, etc., which I purchased. Molto bene! What more can I say? Raises the flag all the way up on my "Give 'em a whirl" meter. Dine here. Grazie!

Yelp
Had a wonderful experience at Cicchetti last night. We went before a show and the small plate concept really lent itself to a pre show meal. The wine selection is impressive, but the food really delivers as well. We ordered the ricotta and tomato bruschetta, the eggplant Parmesan, and a board with two cheeses and iberico ham. The taste of the tomato mixture on the bruschetta was so vibrant and tasty. And the eggplant was halved, and baked with sauce and cheese on it. It was one of the best eggplant dishes I've ever had and I plan on recreating it at home. The board came with picked vegetables and honeycomb and was delicious. For dessert, we ordered the zeppole, perfectly fried dough, crispy on the outside, moist in the middle and served with a fruit spread that complemented it perfectly. We also had fantastic service. Prompt, helpful, engaging and well timed. It was a great balance between giving excellent recommendations and talking through the wine list. Cicchetti is joined with Aria where we've eaten a few times before, and when going to a show, I really liked the Cicchetti model a little better. Very enjoyable dinner

Yelp
Full bar. Erwin makes a mean dirty martini. On his suggestion, I tried the Ragu Modenese. It did not disappoint. With one bite I was transported back to Italy.

Yelp
Really enjoyed having wine and small bites at Cicchetti! My husband and I actually had our wedding reception catered by Aria (Cichetti's parent restaurant), so I was excited to try this little spot with my mom :) We did have to wait a while to be seated (even with a reservation) due to the pre-theater crowd, but the hostess was exceptionally nice about it and ended up giving us a gift card when we left because of it (so kind!). The wine list is extensive and impressive, and the small plates are yummy (not super filling, but great for light bites). Our favorites were the meatballs (both chicken and beef) and the bruschettas (the pesto + sundried tomato one and the roasted leek + goat cheese and pistachio one). I'd definitely go back here again soon!!

Yelp
Popped in here for a quick bite before a show at Blumenthal. It was the last restaurant I dined in before the pandemic and hadn't been back in here since then...until now. Happy to see they made it and even happier to report that the food and service have held up! Just returned from Italy in September and love that this atmosphere reminds me of my trip. Wonderfully chic and artistic. Perfect for a fancy dinner or just to lounge with a glass or two. We sat at the bar and had a variety of small plates. The polenta fries were crispy outside and tender inside and the truffle aioli was a great accompaniment to them. The potato croquette were impossibly creamy inside, especially given the perfectly golden brown exterior, and came nestled atop roasted tomato aioli with parmesan shavings. I also enjoyed the ricotta + tomato basil pesto bruschetta while my friend swore by the prosciutto + robiola olives bruschetta. I will definitely have to come back when I have time to sample something more substantial. Our bartender Robin (?) was a delight and very knowledgeable. TIP: Half off bottles of wine Tues-Thurs from 5-7pm. Cheers!

Yelp
Visited for the first time for dinner before a show at the beautiful Knights Theater. Four of us ordered about 85% of the menu. Check out my photos for evidence. The food was my least favorite thing about Cicchetti. It's the only reason I would not return to or recommend this restaurant. We loved the atmosphere, decor, artistic dishes and bar ware, and we especially loved the extensive selection of half priced wine bottles which they offer Tuesdays-Thursdays from 5-7pm! The bartender made a great dirty martini and an old-fashioned so she won us over on two classics. The limoncello and aperol spritzes were both on the official cocktail menu (which to my knowledge only had 3 offerings though i never saw a full bar menu) and they were both average at best. No one ordered a second round. Instead we switched to a delicious half priced bottle of barbera d'alba. If only the "Italian" tapas style food had been as delicious as the Italian wine. I could pick apart each dish that we tried one by one but nobody would want to read a review that long... Suffice it to say that everything was blah. It was SUPER oily, salty, and nothing tasted fresh. It was fun to order tins and chips which were served with an Italian hot sauce (see photos for brand) and maaaaybe if I was invited back here with a friend, I would be happy at the bar with wine and sardines... but the mussels tin was just baaad. Imported supposedly but I have lived in Italy three separate times for over a year and I never had anything like those. Yikesssss. If I had to pick a best dish of the night it would've been the polpette baccala (salt cod meatballs). If I had to pick a worst dish it would be the shrimp on polenta. Please see photos - the picture is worth a thousand words. On visual alone, I didn't even want to try the shrimp... it was... crumbling? I also think Italians would be ashamed at the Mortadella and the cheeses served on the antipasto plate. Flavorless. To be fair, the presentation was beautiful and the pickled red onions were nice. But nobody wants to pay for pickled red onions and flavorless cheese. The zeppoli were actually pretty well done, although I would've loved to see them dusted in confectioners sugar rather than white sugar. The prices were great and the service was decent but not notable. As I said at the start, the only thing that would keep me from ever returning is the food. It just wasn't good and if I didn't know that it was supposed to be an Italian small plates style restaurant I'm not sure I would've recognized the food as Italian at all except for in name only. Lots of other options uptown now and I hope Cicchetti can change things up perhaps seasonally or with new ingredients sourced from more authentic Italian flavors. Otherwise I can't see them thriving.

Yelp
Second time here on our way to Blumenthal to see a show, it's changed a bit inside since it opened pre pandemic. Layout etc. menu has a couple of new things, wish it had more desserts! Everything we had was great though. Had the polenta fries again, those were delish with the creamy garlic aioli. The chicken meatballs were one of my favorite, nice sauce, and cheese in top. The beef meatballs I didn't try but everyone said they were good too. The shrimp was interesting, lots of different flavors , but big shrimp! The bruschetta we got the tomato and ricotta one and the goat cheese roasted leek, the tomatoes was awesome, great roasted tomatoes. The leek one was ok, not to much going on. The antipasto was a great variety, tomato mozzarella , artichokes, grilled eggplant, salami, olives, giardiniera, sopresa, lots to pick at, great for veggies. The croquettes come out crispy with lovely potato ,herby, Parmesan filling with pesto on top. Loved this. Definitely all small plates so we had to reorder some to have enough for our group of 8 . The zeppoles were so yummy, crispy got vanilla donuts, with a fruity dipping sauce. So good. Was half price wine by the bottle on tuesdays. So we got a couple of nice bottles the Paul Hobbs Pinot noir, was a hit, and I loved the Heitz cellar Cabernet , very smooth wouldn't pay $90 for it normally, but was great at $45! Also threw in a bottle of Prosecco to share across the table, really nice bottle. Our server was great as we told her we would need to leave by a certain time because of theater. Another great experience at Cicchetti, really like this place. They validate parking too for Bank of America corporate center parking deck! Great pre theater spot, very convenient.

Yelp
We were really looking forward to dining here. We had a reservation, walked in & around the place to the other door looking for the hostess stand as the signs suggested... no hostess to be found. Finally the bartender waved us over & welcomed us & sat us. We're wine people so we were anticipating their selection but had our own just in case. Assessing the situation we asked the bartender/waiter if they had a corkage fee. He said: "no, not really... kind of... it's $25 but we discourage it". Not knowing what to do with that, we thought we'd just have a glass of white while we have an appetizer & decide our dinner. We asked about the Chardonnay on the menu. He said, " to be honest I don't like Chardonnay but I know about Italian reds". This left us a little dumbfounded since this is supposed to be a wine bar. We had a half bottle of Chard, which was nice; and the meatballs & prosciutto bruschetta which were both very nice. We decided the experience with the waiter was enough to send us elsewhere for the rest of our evening. Food we had was good. The wine we had was good. Primary complaint was the waiter was clueless. It was disappointing because we were expecting a wine experience & the bartender was far from a sommelier.

Yelp
Do not come here on a Friday night. Way too busy and understaffed. Both of our water glasses had been empty for ages and the waiter filled one of them. WTH??? Probably not coming back despite the very good food.

Yelp
I was excited to try Cicchetti as I ran across a local charlotte influencer talking about how great It was on Instagram. My friend and I made reservations for Friday night on Friday during the day and there were plenty of openings. We had a hard time parking because the deck is shared with people parking for the Hornets game at the Spectrum Center right next door. We had a great experience over all! We decided to each have a cocktail to start and then chose a bottle of white wine to share. I opted for a dirty martini and my friend got the cello spritzer. Cicchetti is a small plates place, so we chose several things to try. We got the shrimp small plate, the croquettes, the tin and chips (mussels), and the tomato and ricotta bruschetta. It was all pretty good! I don't know that I would come back for "dinner" as there weren't a ton of options but it's definitely a great spot to grab a bite or two while enjoying a drink. I would definitely like to come back.

Hale P.

Yelp
The cutest wine shop & tapas in Charlotte! The wine selection is incredible. You must get the bruschetta and oysters. We'll definitely be back for another date night!

Yelp
Under staffed so long wait to place our orders once seated. Food was average. The plus is that if you are attending a performance at the Belk Theatre, you don't have to leave the building.

Yelp
3/3/20 visit First time visiting with a buddy before a Hornets game. Really cool spot, great atmosphere and really friendly staff. Based on our servers recommendations we enjoy oysters, olives, lamb meat balls and traditional meatballs. Everything was fantastic, I really enjoyed the fried oysters and traditional meatballs and of course the wine recommendation was outstanding! The owner Pierre even stoped by our table to see how our visit went.

Charles E.

Yelp
Fantastic spot for pre-theatre dinner. Our party of two came in and sat at the bar an hour before showtime at Blumenthal. We told the lovely bartender we had to be in and out in under an hour, and she gave us great recommendations. I really appreciate that the bartender seemed familiar with the entire menu and could point us in the right direction. Bruschetta and create your own charcuterie board were very good and just wants we needed. I think this is our new pre-show dinner spot.

Rachel E.

Yelp
We had the best time! An elegant, upscale restaurant with the BEST food. We got a few different dishes for the table and our top favorites were the scallops and fries! We had the BEST waiter - Lucky. He went above and beyond and was so attentive and outgoing. Definitely will be returning!

Yelp
I really enjoy coming here! with such a wide selection of wines from all over the world, it's quite an experience. You can get up and walk around and pick a bottle of your choice. Plus they have great wine specials during the week. I started coming here in an effort to learn more about wines and try out something unique. The food is a great compliment to the wine and every dish we tried was delicious. Highly recommend.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in uptown! Love going in and selecting a bottle of wine from the shelf and enjoying different small plates. The servers are knowledgeable and always help build our charcuterie board based off of the wine we are drinking. The tomato and pesto bruschetta is another favorite

Yelp
I had the lasagna and it was so good! The staff are excellent and fun!!! We had a private party and closed down the restaurant, the servers were dancing and singing.

Yelp
After being in hiatus for a while due to a death in my family a wonderful friend & I decided to choose this restaurant for a first try. Upon arrival no hostess was at the door so were told that she would be with us surely (the hostess was behind the bar). We were lead to our table and proceed to order a particular drink which was out so we ordered what was available. We then ordered our meals however they were out of a dish I wanted until the hostess returned to later find out that dish was available. I asked for red crush pepper flakes to add to my meal and the entire thing spilled on my meal. No accommodation was made due to the mistake on my meal. Although I wasn't looking for an accommodation it would have been nice for my inconvenience. The energy & service in this place was lacking. And the cooking of the food seemed rushed. We also DID NOT feel welcome in this establishment. But still decided to stay because sometimes your mind can be tricky. Needless to say we will not be returning. I hope this business considers the feedback and elevate because it has potential. Also the red & white straws ruins the aesthetics of the environment.

Yelp
Excellent food and service! Robin is an amazing server, great advice and suggestions!

Yelp
I was really disappointed with my whole experience at Cicchetti. I dined there on Sat, 2/12. We entered the unwelcoming waiting area about 2 minutes before our reservation and it took almost 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us, even with eye contact. There was nowhere to sit (or even perch) while waiting, and the hostess stand is right next to the bar seating, so we were often in the way. Finally, we thought that the hostess was coming to greet/seat us, but she ignored us and walked away. I flagged her down (politely) and let her know that we were here for our reservation. She literally scoffed and said "I'll get to you when I can, I'm by myself. Be patient.".... ummm ok...? Imagine that happening at Steak 48, Bardo, etc. When we finally were seated (almost 15 additional minutes later), we were hopeful for the experience to turn around. Unfortunately, it never did. Service was painfully, painfully slow. We had a 9PM show at a theater next door and I thought at 7PM reservation would leave us plenty of time for a quick dinner... we were almost late, and the theater is in the same building. We ordered 2 rounds of drinks, 4 shared tapas, and 1 dessert, and it took 2 hours. Multiple items were brought out incorrectly, or not at all. Initially, I ordered a glass of prosecco and it took over 15 minutes to arrive. We had to ask for bread, as we saw other tables with it. The servers were not super personable and were clearly overwhelmed. The food was ok. Maybe a 5/10. The pollo meatballs were rubbery in texture and relatively bland in flavor. The croquettes were actually delicious and we ended up ordering a second helping because our flatbread never came. The "bomba" dessert was a hit for me, but my friend HATED it. I think because it was messy and hard to eat... but I'm a sucker for anything ice cream covered in a chocolate shell. I asked for a cappuccino to go with dessert and that was the only thing that was brought out in a timely manner. To top off the sub par experience, the bill was incorrect and listed things that we ordered and never arrived (including the previously mentioned flatbread). On our second round of drinks, only 1 glass of wine came out, but we were charged for both. Overall - wouldn't go back unless I had a VERY good reason. If you look at past reviews of mine, I'm pretty pragmatic and objective. I was super bummed with my experience here - and as someone who goes to the theater a lot, I was hopeful that this would be my new pre-show dinner spot. Aria used to be my spot, then they started going downhill. Cicchetti definitely won't be my spot.... so looks like The Asbury will be my choice!

Yelp
The service was phenomenal. Like really special. The food is delicious, and the little dishes are each like individual gems being presented to the table. There was a generous amount of each dish for sharing. Bonus, 1/2 price on bottles of wine if you're there between certain hours, and it is an extensive wine list to choose from (let them choose for you, you'll be happy). The chicken meatballs were served in a just right tomato sauce with fresh oregano. The little potato dumplings were super crispy & flavorful on the outside and soft on the inside. The bruschetta were similarly well done. The ambiance was great - quiet enough you could hear your companions, but not so quiet that you felt like a spectacle. Our server, Lucky, was knowledgeable about the menu, very personable, and had surprisingly good magic tricks that took but a moment at the table. It made for an even more fun evening. The owner took the trouble to check in that we were happy on his way past. Additional bonus, the bill did not add up the way it can sometimes at this type of restaurant.

Yelp
I hate to give this place a mediocre review because I had such high hopes for my meal. This spot is exactly what I want in a causal date night: abundant wine selection and small bites. What we ended up with was a nice wine selection but overly priced, trying too hard, small food portions. Not the greatest experience at all. Pros: - Many wines by the glass to try with tasting and full pour portions. - Wines at market price plus a $10 corkage fee. - Small plates and larger items available for food. Cons: - Expensive for small portions. - Menu descriptions are more elaborate than the actually food. - Food itself, alright but not filling. - Overwhelming menu with many items seemingly similar. Overall, not a dinner spot in my opinion. If you are looking for a casual wine bar with a variety of wines (and prices)- this is your place.

Yelp
We had a reservation but upon arrival were told our table for 2 wasn't ready. Additionally, we were told others were ahead of us whose tables weren't ready either. We were invited to sit at the bar or in the lounge to wait. This all would have been fine, except we sat in the lounge for quite a while without being offered any type of refreshments while we waited. We finally left after seeing part of another party (half of a 4 top) walk in off the street and be seated without delay.

Yelp
So far. So good. I think this placed opened very recently and to that end all the kinks aren't worked out. But I'll run over my experience. They have great food. Make your own bruschetta is phenomena The chicken meatballs. So good. My favorite was then fava beans and duck. Cocktails are very good. If you love Prosecco or Aperol. They got you with like 10 variations of cocktails you will love. A unique feature is that they also function as a retail wine store. So you can choose a bottle. But it and it's a 10% corkage. Really good prices and good selection on the wine. Service was a little spotty but they seem to still be getting into the groove with this. Also a small silly thing. I would prefer real cloth napkins. But that's just me. Over all a great experience. I'll be back. You should try it.

Yelp
So good. Loved our server Robin. Our minds were blown by the food. The croquettes, the bruschetta, the cheese plate, so good.

Yelp
Great new wine bar in uptown Charlotte offering LOTS of small plates to browse through. The menu is not your typical Italian one and features a lot of yummy unique dishes in categories like meatballs, build your own bruschetta (the bread is the perfect mix of soft and crispy), tins with chips (very authentically European), sea dishes (octopus, prawn, etc), and assorted meats and cheeses. The plates are obviously designed to go well with wine and the extensive drinks program featuring bottles throughout the restaurant to order off the wall is a great touch. It's very obvious how much work was put into the design here and the staff are clearly operating at a high level for their love and knowledge of the food on the menu. Our waitress, Lucky, spent tons of time with us to walk through all the different flavors! We ordered 3 bruschettas (the ricotta is delicious and fresh), the prosciutto meatballs (highly recommend), and a few assorted plates (fava beans and duck was incredible) and some cocktails and really enjoyed our experience! This is very different than other Italian restaurants in Charlotte so if you're in the mood for a great ambiance, wine or spritzes, and a bunch of small plates, this is a spot for you!

Yelp
What a great place. Great location. super cool vibe. Great variety on the menu. Super wine selection at retail (NON-RESTAURANT) prices. Cork-fee, sure -- measly 10 bucks. Who cares. Somebody gotta wash those glasses you use!. And they will tap your bottle with a Coravin and let you take it home half full (half empty for you pessimists). That alone will bring me back time and again. Already made our next reservation (reservations are only for the uber- cool --- shhhhh)! Great cocktails, too. And the staff? "Attentive" doesn't even begin to describe them! And not only. They know their menu, and they know their wines. It's just a totally fun place!!! For the record, Thomas is a nut job.

Yelp
I was excited to try this spot as it's in a more active part of uptown, seems classy and I like Aria, however... I don't have anything super negative to say but the whole experience fell a little flat. The food was average, the service was average and honestly the donuts were probably the highlight. So, if an Italian tapas only does donuts well, it was not quite worth the money.

Yelp
I love this restaurant! Tue - Thur they have half prices bottles of wine, any wine!! There are ~5 large shelves of wine to choose from which you can browse and select yourself. Or the waiters are knowledgeable and will help you pick a bottle based on wines you enjoy. My favorite plates are the pollo meatballs and the prosciutto bruschetta. My favorite waiter is Lucky. Enjoy!

Yelp
Food was great, staff are fun and took great care of me - solo woman on a work trip. Was seated at the bar and looked after with care. Had full bodied red wine, croquettes over seasoned butter and steak skewers. Nice end to a busy day. Nice find.

Yelp
The customer service is excellent, Mrs. Parker and I were given a tremendous amount of attention. I must say we did sit in their lounge area for our table for which we had an 8:00pm reservation for just a few moments. We ordered the Fried Oysters, Polenta Fries, Coquette, and Rack of lamb. This is a place to go if you and guest(s) want drinks and snackables, day after work, before a show, or a Ladies night. But if you're hungry x2, this is not the spot for you. I would absolutely go back but not if I plan to throw down ya Dig! If you are looking for a chill spot, casual date night, it's a gold mine!
