NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"In Williamsburg, The Cinemixology Room is what it sounds like—a cocktail bar inspired by American movies. Drinks are named after films, like The Truman Show with vodka, ancho reyes, lime, and cucumber. The At Eternity’s Gate has rum, sherry, brandy, and hibiscus. You get the picture. Film buffs can suggest movies for cocktail inspiration, and if it makes the menu, they get to drink it for free." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim

Best place in brooklyn for a first date or a night with friends! It will always feel like a different experience and you’ll be able to enjoy so many new favors. Concept, vibe, lighting, and off course cocktails, 10/10!!!

The atmosphere was immaculate, cozy and nicely lit with classic movies playing as you enjoy expertly crafted cocktails. The cocktails are imaginative and delicious in equal measure, with each drink paying homage to its cinematic namesake with clever ingredients. Overall just a great place to spend an evening with friends!

This speakeasy in Williamsburg feels magical! From the interior design, the lights, the screening of silent black and white films in the background and mostly the cocktails! These film-inspired cocktails are some of the best cocktails you ever had, I promise !

A must for your cocktail and movie lovers. My wife and I had anniversary drinks here, she loved "In the Mood for Love" mocktail with notes of rosemary. A coffee and Vittorio de Sica fan myself had the "Bicycle Thieves" cocktail dark with plum notes. Remember to set yourself back into a fond film here and enjoy the complimentary popcorn with your glass.

Stepping into this bar feels like walking onto the set of a beautifully lit film noir. Black-and-white classics flicker silently in the background, casting a nostalgic glow over velvet seats and artful glassware. But the true stars here are the cocktails—each one a tribute to cinema, both bold and poetic in flavor. From the smoky allure of Taste of Cherry to the floral mystique of At Eternity’s Gate, every drink feels like a scene-stealer. With names like Portrait of a Lady on Fire and The Truman Show, the menu reads like a film festival program, and each cocktail tells its own delicious story. This bar isn’t just a place to drink—it’s a place to feel. To sip something complex while lost in the grainy glamour of old film. For lovers of both cinema and spirits, this spot is nothing short of magic.

I don't normally give 5 stars to places but rarely do I come across a location with good food, good drinks AND good vibes...all at an affordable price. I've hosted events here and gone on my own accord and the hospitality is unmatched. And did I mention how good the food and drinks are? It's a unique take on a cinephile's dream. Great place to visit!

Love good cinema? Ever wondered what a good movie feels like, manifested in a drink? Cinemixology Room gives you all that and a speakeasy atmosphere. The attention to detail hits you as soon as you enter. Cinemixology Room is the perfect concept bar—it is a love letter to cinema, poured into a glass- books related to cinema adorn the shelves, the menu is presented in books about film, and the drinks are all inspired by key scenes or themes from movies. The experience doesn’t stop there, enjoy some complimentary popcorn while silent black and white movies play in the background! The drinks themselves capture the essence of the films, both visually and through the notes featured in each creation. If you order The Bicycle Thief, the tires of bikes are represented using dried oranges. The flavors and notes are inspired by Antonio’s storyline. I will certainly be coming back for some tasteful cinema! ;) If making drinks were an art, then recreating cinema through flavor and visuals is truly avant-art. Go here for the drinks, stay for the artistry and enthusiastic discussions on cinema.

This beautiful, cozy speakeasy pays homage to Cinema with a capital C. Here, selecting a drink goes beyond taste, ingredients, or intricate craftsmanship; it's about the story. Each cocktail transports you back to a scene from a classic movie, allowing you to relive the smells, tastes, and visuals encapsulated within the glass. Bibo, the humble craftsman behind this concept, is sometimes present to share behind-the-scenes tales of his creative and delicious cocktail curation. Highly recommended – the vibes here are flawlessssssss.

Yelp
New speakeasy hidden inside blend! The ambiance is really nice and I love the bar aesthetic. The drinks are all based on movies and they play iconic soundtracks. I will say the drinks need some improvement. On paper they sound fantastic, but out of the 3 drinks we got they all tasted too similar with a common bitter undertone. Would be happy to come back in a month to try out other things.
