Mandalay Bay’s Citizens Kitchen & Bar remodels - Eater Vegas

"The 24-hour comfort food destination Citizens Kitchen & Bar has been a conventioneer favorite for casino coffee shop staples since its debut in early 2013 at Mandalay Bay. The restaurant is making its own plans to adapt its serving practices once Gov. Steve Sisolak lifts a directive to close dine-in restaurants and casinos statewide to curb the spread of COVID-19. Prepping for the resort’s eventual return, initial paperwork allocated an estimated $45,000 to remodel the contact-free walk-up quick-service counter that featured, wraps, salads, sandwiches, and desserts before Mandalay Bay closed back in March. Parent company SBE has confirmed the changes, but updated the final budget will hit a much more substantial $200,000, with work now scheduled to begin in May." - Bradley Martin

Citizens Kitchen & Bar closed with a cockroach infestation - Eater Vegas

"The Southern Nevada Health District closed the dish machine area at Citizens Kitchen & Bar at Mandalay Bay after finding a multi-generational roach infestation behind the dish washing machine in the prep area on December 4. Inspectors also found multiple fruit flies, water on the floor, and food debris on the floor under the machine. The restaurant returned to a zero-demerit A grade on December 6." - Susan Stapleton

Best Bloody Marys To Try in Las Vegas - Eater Vegas

"Does a bloody Mary count as a breakfast cocktail if it’s ordered before sunrise? At Citizens Kitchen & Bar, it really doesn’t matter. The 24-hour spot serves a decked out bloody Mary made with Tito’s vodka and adorned with shrimp, crab, beef jerky, and Old Bay spice." - Krista Diamond

Very solid breakfast food! This reminds me of First Watch, a local breakfast chain in my hometown. And I have to admit that Citizens is better. This is located on the casino floor in Mandalay Bay. There’s a turn-of-the-century decor here and a takeout stand! Lines can be long especially in the late morning. The service was very good and our food came out quickly. About the food, it came in large portions and it’s delicious! I got the biscuits and gravy and the biscuits are fried, and the gravy has a hint of pepper included. I also really liked the potatoes which were flavorful. Overall, I enjoyed my time! Would recommend.

The meals here are tasty and awesome and the portions were big. However the lady at the check in counter wasn’t that friendly and warm. She has this icy look and she looked like she wants to be somewhere other than there. Sometimes I wonder why we are tipping service staff who doesn’t let us feel welcome and that they look like they don’t enjoy the job or like to serve customers. Please allocate someone who has a warm personality. Front line service staff is so important.

Our waiter was great. We had the steak and frites and spicy tuna poke bowl. Both were great! I loved the steak. The flavor was awesome and didn’t need steak sauce. Prices were great compared to everything else around it as well! While everything in this area is expensive this is about the most fair priced you are going to get without leaving the area.

We’ve been to Citizen at the bottom of Mandalay Bay two days in a row. Yesterday we had the lox bagel, which was delicious, and today we tried the pancakes and American breakfast — both were simple but satisfying. The vibe is great — relaxed and welcoming. You can grab and go also. Our server Robert was incredibly kind and attentive, which made the experience even better.

My first morning in Vegas I stumbled down from the hotel room looking for breakfast, this place should be your first stop. Non-negotiable. I had the ultimate breakfast which is eggs, bacon (slightly spicy), spicy potatoes, and 3 good sized pancakes American style, with a cappuccino on the side. Everything was utterly delicious and the service was flawless. Do yourself a favour and eat here, you won't regret it.

Google
We ate here because we arrived at The Strip pretty late, and they were one of the only restaurants still open. The vibe was off putting from the moment we asked for a table. Apparently the kitchen was about to close, but they begrudgingly gave us a table. We arrived at like 11pm on a Friday and their times on Yelp said that they’re open until 4am, so I don’t think this one was on us. Service was pretty rushed as the last call was upon us. The staff couldn’t hide that they didn’t want us there. To be honest, I would’ve rather them turn us away than give us the half-hearted dinner service they did. My steak was terrible, and my fries tasted like a flower garden. I would’ve rather had a hot dog from the food court.

Devon, the restaurant manager at Citizens in Mandalay Bay, made our entire experience unforgettable. From the moment we walked in, he made us feel genuinely welcomed not in a robotic “hospitality” kind of way, but like we were guests in his own home. He wasn’t just floating around like most managers. Devon was hands on, checking in with us. What stood out most was how calm and collected he stayed even when the restaurant got busy. Especially when our server got sat multiple tables. He was jumping in to help his team and seating guests. Working in the industry, It’s rare to see someone lead with that kind of energy and sincerity. Thanks again for a great experience.

Google
Food here is always delicious. Large portion , fast and friendly service. There is something for everyone on the menu. We had the steak and eggs amd french toast. Our family of three shared the two meals and it was plenty. They forgot the toast for the steak and eggs and we still had plenty of food. The carrot cake is a must for the sweet lovers. We had the previous night after a dinner elsewhere. Citizen is always a satisfying meal.

Yelp
The food was out of this world! Also customer service was amazing! Nick was very attentive and gave us a great experience!

Yelp
This was a great dinner on a Saturday night! Located inside Mandalay Bay, was one of the cheaper sit down restaurants we could find. Lots of great options. Service was great, our waiter was kind and accommodating to gluten and shellfish allergy. Had great attention to detail. Ambiance is lively, music going on from around the corner and there was a good amount of people in the restaurant. The food was yummy! Hit the spot for all of us. Specifically the roasted chicken was excellent, the one who ordered it said "I would make this my death row meal!" Everything else was solid too. Give it a try, not sure why it has a lower rating!

Yelp
This was one of the few options for a late night snack and it was counter service and sit at one of the few tables outside the restaurant. Their dining room closes at odd times and when I went around 4p for a snack, it was the same situation, so I skipped it at that time (and ended up a Ri Ra for Happy Hour which I recommend for half-off apps 3p-6p). The BBQ Chicken flatbread was absolutely delicious even though it looked like total garbage. It heated up nicely in their little combo-oven thingamajig. It was piping hot and crispy too. And the danish was warm and soft and pillowy, meaning they just didn't heat them up together! Great work! This seems like the place that's open the longest (breakfast through late night) so you may end up here as part of your stay. I just missed the boat twice from actually having a seat to relax and grab a bite!

Yelp
I went here for lunch. I ordered the nachos and a teriyaki bowl. The nachos I wish had more cheese (the entire middle was basically just dry chips. But it was good. The meat was alright- nothing amazing. The teriyaki bowl had fresh vegetables, a delicious sauce and well cooked rice. I may have still been hungry without the chicken so I recommend adding that on. (Also, ask for extra sauce on the side We ate here because it was convenient as I was there for a conference- I would eat here again, but not make a special trip to dine here.

Yelp
Good breakfast this morning. Food was good. I had scrambled eggs with bacon, seasoned O'Brien potatoes, and sourdough toast. Bacon was quality, thick-cut, and delicious! Scrambled eggs were fluffy. Potatoes were tasty. I wish they buttered the toast before serving, rather than delivering dry with packaged butter. As well, I enjoyed a Bailey's coffee, which was quite delicious! Service was very attentive and friendly. Ambiance was okay, nothing special, just a coffee shop restaurant atmosphere. I found it interesting though to find that they charge an inflation surcharge. It's a despicable move I find often back home in the S.F. Bay Area. First time I have found this maneuver employed in Nevada! What a shame! You're better than that here in Nevada! The waiter had management remove the listed "H Surcharge." They should probably appropriately name it the Brandon Surcharge!

Yelp
Came here to grab breakfast and dinner since it was within the hotel we were staying at (Mandalay Bay). It was pretty busy in the morning but we got seated within 10 minutes. Customer service was great, our servers were really nice and fast with taking our ordering/checking up on us throughout our dinning. The portions are huge!! If you are going with a large group, this is a great restaurant to stop by since the portions are so huge you could definitely share. The chilaquiles were good but lacked some flavor and more salty than flavorful I must say. The ultimate breakfast plate was my favorite. It came with bacon, pancakes, eggs, and even potatoes. The potatoes were well seasoned. The breakfast sandwich was a heart attack LOL. The breakfast burrito was delicious and simple, perfect when you want something light. The CA omelette was delicious as well, the egg was very light and airy. I did wish it came with meat or something more filling. Ambience was nice and decor was great, modern and simple. I like the dim lights they have in the restaurant.

Yelp
The portion sizes were generous and tasted great too. Our server Chris was nice and efficient while kept our table clean and happy. The place is very cozy and lively so great for the family.

Yelp
Wanted a quick grab once I waited for my room to be ready. It had a line so I knew it would be good. They had a quick serve section and sit down, I went quick and it was. The wrap wasn't over stuffed but had great chicken and veggies with cheese. Fries were solid. Plenty of seating and open area by the casino floor. They also had breakfast that was okay too. It's one of the better ones in the hotel.

Yelp
Stopped in here with my husband to get a quick bite to eat before seeing the Michael Jackson One show. It was a Friday night and the place was pretty full, however, we were seated immediately. The server was very friendly and we told her we would need our food quickly due to the show being within the hour. We ordered an appetizer and, a roast beef sandwich which were served quickly. Meals were presented beautifully, but rather bland tasting. Even the lemonade was bland. Total bill $67 plus a $12 tip, place is over priced for simple food. BEWARE- they charged us a $2.95 House surcharge, about 5% on our bill and we didn't notice it until we got home, very sneaky! How many people are being ripped off like this every day???

Yelp
For breakfast, their portion sizes are good. The bacon is thick, but not as crispy as I would've liked. The shortstack pancakes were alright, but sadly there was only margarine and not whipped butter on hand as far as I could tell. For a Vegas restaurant, I'd hope details like that would be on point. Wait staff were courteous and helpful.

Yelp
I have been coming to Citizens for years since my company holds our annual convention in Vegas at Mandalay Bay - i can't believe it's taken me this long to review! Citizens is a staple in my meal planning during this work event. Great for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (I've heard good late-night too, but I go to bed early, so I wouldn't know). I have always had great service, and the food is reliably good and plentiful. Last night for dinner, I had the BLT-A which my server recommended because it is pulled high with bacon. She wasn't wrong - so much bacon! (Dare I say too much? Nah. ) I also got the truffle fries, which were very pungent and delicious as you would expect from truffle fries. This morning for breakfast, I had the avocado toast. I've actually never had it before, but I figured I should try it when they were out of my first choice breakfast. It was really yummy (although I can't compare it to others). But I would certainly order it again. I've also had some of their desserts and basket items in the past, which are great to take to go so I can indulge in the privacy of my hotel room.

Yelp
We ordered a Shrimp and Lobster Roll which had more roll than shrimp or lobster. It came with a salad with lemon vinaigrette which was mediocre. The other entree was chicken tacos which was presented better than it tasted. The chicken was way too dry. The service was good and noise level medium. Ambiance was like a country-kitchen decor with TVs running. Shrimp and Lobster Roll + Salad: $27 Grilled Chicken Tacos (3): $24 Won't be returning soon. Too many other dining options in Las Vegas.

Yelp
Quick service and decent food while other restaurants are overpriced and packed with advanced reversation at the Mandalay Bay. Steak is not good, chewy and over cooked for medium. The only seasoning it has is the Boursin cheese drizzle on the top. Fries are delicious!! Chocolate cake is HUGE! I haven't seen a piece of cake this big my whole life. It's quite rich and sweet, like what a typical American chocolate cake would be like. It's okay for a bite without breaking the bank but it's not the most delicious place.

Yelp
We visited the Citizens kitchen and bar during our stay atvMandalay Bay resort. I didn't go to the full service reataurant as the line was huge and looked like a good place to eat. I ordered from their takeout side. Ordered flat bread pizza, caprese sandwich, cappuccino, and fresh fruit bowl. The staff is friendly, and they were completely occupied and delivering orders at great pace. They have display pieces to get an idea of what you are ordering. The food came hot, and flat bread pizza was baked perfectly well, and we enjoyed it. The caprese sandwich tasted very good and worth ordering it. The fruit bowl tasted fresh, and pineapple was my favorite. Overall, it was a great place to order, and you paid the premium price for casino locations, but food tasted good. !!!

Yelp
Very friendly staff got seated right away even though it was very busy, I'd ordered a avocado toast. Very delicious. Also got the steak and egg and my coworker got his sticking egg my steak and I came out well done they fixed it even though I told them they did not need to because the flavor was good and it was not chewy that other well done steaks are

Yelp
My son and his girlfriend were visiting for the weekend and staying on the strip near Mandalay Bay and He wanted to try This restaurant he saw on social media and we are all glad we did! The ambiance is very comfortable with a cafe type feel-I noticed before being seated the pastry area which looked good! Our server was very pleasant and attentive from start to finish. We had appetizers that were all 10 for excellent' Chicken wings were fried to perfection and our artichoke dip was delicious-our entrees consist of teriyaki bowl chicken and salmon added and a loco mock bowl-everything was on point' and even better the price for the food they serve is easy on the wallet/purse and pocket!we will definitely go back to eat and give this place a 10 hands down.

Yelp
This is a good option for breakfast. I liked that they had a carry-out/ quick service area with good looking pastries and lunch-dinner-snack food. It was cute looking in here, with fun decorations and plenty of spots to sit. The family enjoyed their meals. I had a bagel on the side, it did come with plenty of cream cheese, but the bagel was just a store bough one and not from a bakery, which was disappointing since their pastries looked more house or bakery made. The portion sizes were good, but the prices unnecessarily high like everything here, which makes it hard to afford food. The server was friendly but forgot part of the order but charged us. We had him take it off the bill. Plus, in the smallest print possible, at the way bottom of the menu, it stated that they charge a 5% resort fee which they will remove upon request, but you either need to scrutinize your check really well, or scrutinize the fine print of the menu, which both seems deceitful. I do not like things that are not straight forward or transparent as a paying customer. It is just another way to take advantage of people on a vacation who do not have a large budget and need to feed a family. I would come back but I would also watch the fine print and the bill.

Yelp
We visited on Friday for lunch with a party of two and it was a very nice experience. We were seated right away inside, but by the time we left (1150) there was a significant line forming. The dining area was large and clean, although the 2-top we were seated at was a bit small. We ordered the Lobster and Shrimp Roll and Steak Frites. Both entrees were well prepared and presented. The Steak Frites is an outstanding deal, a 14 ounce NY Strip with fries and Parmesan bread for $39. You can't touch a 14 oz NY Strip anywhere on the Vegas Strip for less than $60, a la carte. It was cooked perfectly. Their margarita was tall and strong. The service was excellent. The waiter was prompt, friendly, and professional. He was nice enough to notice my military ID and applied a discount. Overall, a great place for lunch.

Yelp
Convenient breakfast/brunch spot in Mandalay Bay with plenty of seating and a good variety of food. The buttermilk pancakes are HUGE and fluffy. It comes with three giant pancakes per order, so two orders were plenty for 6 kids. The kids really enjoyed their pancakes! The house coffee is good, and they keep it going with endless refills. The other entrees were solid, but unmemorable. I ordered the avocado toast and it came with a slather of avocado, two poached eggs, and micro greens.. but it was still lacking flavor. The country fried steak was just ok too. All in all a solid breakfast spot and convenient grab n go pastries and coffee.

Yelp
While staying at Mandalay Bay, my friends and I wanted to grab a quick lunch before hitting the streets of Vegas. Some of us walked down early to reserve a table. The restaurant didn't seem terribly busy, but there was a somewhat long wait. Luckily I entertained myself playing some slots. Maybe it's there way of getting people to spend some money in the casino before eating, who knows. Once seated, it took awhile to be acknowledged. I honestly expected better service being Mandalay is a respectable casino/hotel. We finally got our orders in and the food came out very staggered. I guess it can be difficult to time it just right with a large group. I ordered a Frisco Melt, which is basically a patty melt. Looks wise, it looked very promising, but taste wise, it was just ok. The sourdough bread was perfectly cooked, but the meat inside lacked any flavor. If they seasoned the meat, it could have been a really good sandwich. The fries were decent and could've used a little seasoning as well. We were a large party and maybe half really liked their food. Guess you can't beat those odds in Vegas. Would I come back? Probably not. It's not a strong no though. There's just way too many more options around.

Yelp
A great spot for lunch in the Mandalay Bay. Located on the lobby level near the stairs to go to the pool. My party of two shared the chicken nachos and buffalo chicken sandwich and we were extremely full and extremely happy. The portions of all the ingredients in the nachos (queso, black beans, chicken, to all the fix ins) were very well balanced. The buffalo chicken sandwich came with an incredible bun and was very flavorful. We'd recommend the side of fries for the sandwich which were some of the best we've had. I would love to come back to try their breakfast menu in the future.

Yelp
This is a really adorable restaurant. I loved the interior design. Be warned the music is pretty loud inside though. The service was quick, no complaints there. I chose to order the salmon teriyaki bowl. I wasn't sure what to expect but the fish was cooked perfectly! It was balanced with a perfect amount of teriyaki sauce. The vegetables were cooked and seasoned great as well. For my first time coming I was definitely left impressed. I would definitely come back again for lunch.

Yelp
Good place in mandalay for a quick bite in the morning or lunch. They have a decent assortment of sandwiches, smoothies, pastries and coffee drinks. They also open as a full service restaurant later in the day

Yelp
Stopped here just for a quick bite to hold us over until a late dinner. We were seated right away. Ordered cocktails, loaded fries , and chicken quesadilla. All were good but nothing blew us away. Our service was great! I wouldn't mind stopping in again for a quick bite. I would not dine in for dinner.

Yelp
This establishment is located inside the Mandalay Bay. There's always a huge line during breakfast time around 8 AM and lunch time around 1 pm so my fiancé and I decided to check this place out to see what all the hype is about. Like all the other establishments in the Mandalay Bay, citizens is pretty pricey. We came here right at 11 AM and beat the lunch crowd and there was no line. We ordered The fish tacos and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Both were good but also not the top 5 nashville chicken sandwich or top 5 tacos we've ever had. If I were ever in the Mandalay Bay I would come back otherwise I would not go out of my way to eat here in the future just to eat here. Overall worth a try if you're staying in the Mandalay bay.

Yelp
My wife took my son there for his 9th birthday right before going to the MJ One show at the Mandalay Bay. The food was excellent in quality. Service was very prompt. The server named Jason was awesome. He was very nice and made my sons feel very special upon learning it was his birthday. He paid special attention to him and my wife, brought him the biggest price of chocolate cake without prompt, and sang Happy Birthday to him. My son really wanted me to leave this review to especially recognize Jason's excellent service. We've been to this place on a couple of occasions and have always had an excellent experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Steak and the pasta bolognese was delicious. But the shrimp and lobster roll was just meh. I didn't taste any lobster to be honest. Mostly just mayo the burger was ok. Portions were huge and service was good. Wish they had kid menus so we can have kid size food for the kiddos..

Yelp
Citizens, is one of the breakfast/brunch options at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. It has a nice seating arrangement, both inside and outside the eatery. The menu is very limited, so I would suggest you look at it first (online), before getting there so you are not disappointed. We visited this place twice, during a recent 2-night stay at the resort. Only because it was the best of a bad bargain, considering available breakfast restaurant selections. Our first day's breakfast consisted of Lox & Bagel and Chicken Chilaquiles. Both were good. Service was brisk. Nobody has time to talk to anybody anymore. The next day was our departure and we trekked back to Citizens for some carry-out-eat-in-the-car breakfast. All of us chose the breakfast sandwich. It comes with a hard egg, cheese, bacon and ham. They curtly refused to give us more bacon in place of the ham. The order taker did not wish to cooperate. Furthermore, and a point to note, the breakfast sandwich is a microwave job. Once prepared, it was rudely presented to us. I often ask myself, why do people go to work if they are not in the mood to be nice to their paying customers?

Yelp
Dined on July 9th as a group of 8 for dinner (~6:30pm) for a birthday dinner. The restaurant doesn't take reservations but we were seated within 10 mins of arrival. I did inform the hostess we were celebrating a birthday and asked if she could let our server know and she said okay. When my dad followed up and asked the server once seated he said they don't do anything for birthdays. I can't remember the servers name but he was very short with his responses and worked as if he was in a rush the whole time. My mojito was great! The spinach and artichoke dip came out hot and I liked it was served with chips and pita. My boyfriends pork chop was pretty tasty and it made me wish I had that instead. I ordered the herb roasted chicken and when I received my food it was not hot and barely warm, the same was the cash for my sister's dish. I feel like it took five minutes for us to find our server and inform him and ultimately they remade our food and we ended up taking it with us. Overall everyone else in the party enjoyed their food but felt the service could've been better.

Yelp
We ate here after a pool day and while a friend was gambling. With a morning of travel and long day at the pool, I was starving. They didn't have any gluten free items labeled, but staff seemed somewhat knowledgeable. I had the burger with no bun and fries. Both were delicious! One friend got the macaroni and quesadillas and another had the teriyaki bowl. The teriyaki bowl had the freshest looking veggies. I'm always down for a good burger so I'd definitely return if I was in the area.

Yelp
I had a delicious meal a the bar! I was on my own so it was easy to get a seat, and I was just looking for something comforting after a long day. This was perfect! The bartender was friendly and attentive. Service was fast, food was great.

Yelp
Food was good day and night. Was super expensive but I realize that make sense since we're inside Mandalay Bay Resort. Loved the loaded cheese fries at night. The poke bowl was really good and so were their tacos. Service felt slow but it was packed. Wish there were more options open for lunch time. It's nice to have the convenience to go here inside the hotel.

Yelp
Inside Mandalay Bay!!! It is so good. Service was amazing!!! Good was even better. We had the lox and bagels as well as the chicken and chorizo Chiliquiles (sp). I recommend:)
google avatar

Yelp
Food was ok. The restaurant sneaks in a 5% surcharge in the bill (not stated in the menu beforehand so not sure how ethical that is). Waiter said it goes to the restaurant, not the servers, due to inflation. I don't know why the restaurant doesn't just raise the prices on the food for full transparency. Oh I know, because they want to be sneaky about it
google avatar

Yelp
I opted for lunch at Citizens Kitchen and Bar in Mandalay Bay resort. Craving a sandwich I chose the BLTA sandwich, where the 'A' stands for avocado. I thoroughly enjoyed it! The accompanying fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned, making it irresistible. Despite it being a weekday lunch approaching the weekend, the restaurant quickly filled up. Although the server was swift and busy, they ensured I was well taken care of. The restaurant is decent and well-maintained. Overall the BLT sandwich at Citizens Kitchen and Bar has certainly become my go-to choice.

Yelp
The food was delicious. We didn't get food pics because we were hungry and I forgot before it was no longer "pretty" I'd highly recommend both dishes we got.

Yelp
WARNING: This places adds a junk percentage fee (forgot how much) on the bill after you have ordered. I did not see any mention of this on the menu. I implore people to avoid this place for this reason to show them that this is not OK. I am perfectly fine paying for my food. I am not ok with surprise additions or unnecessary fees. Just price your items based on how much you want to charge. Good: The food was good, the service was excellent. A shame they play their silly games with the additional fees. They even claimed this was imposed on them by Mandalay Bay / MGM, but when we later dined at a different place at Mandalay bay, there was no sign of any additional fees.

Yelp
Good food service is okay. Music is great and ambiance is good. Food was good kids menus was kinda smaller.

Yelp
Had two meals while staying at the Delano. Dinner was loco moco which was some delicious! The chicken quesadilla was the best I've ever had. Dom was a great waiter! Breakfast was a Belgium waffle, it was just ok. The 2 egg breakfast was yummy. Eggs, sausage links and potatoes that were delicious too.

Yelp
I have been here a few times in the past. This time, we were looking for a good Bloody Mary. We have searched and searched and settled on this place because the description sounded good, and it was convenient since we are staying here at Mandalay Bay. I do have to say that it was a great decision. It was one of the best that I had. The bloody mary mix was homemade with great flavors. The garnishment was just perfect. They were a perfect marriage. We sat at the bar, and the bartender was great. He was attentive but left us to catch up. We also got Nashville Chicken with truffle fries to share. Delicious. Overall, it was a great experience, great service, and great food.

Yelp
Im disappointed that out of all the breakfast spots in Vegas, we chose Citizens. We saw this place in MB and a Long line so thought the reviews on yelp must have been wrong. But they weren't. First, I was served a room temp dirty chai latte after waiting 25 minutes for it and shame on me, I asked if it could be remade. I honestly dont think they remade it because it came back tasting like scolding hot water and without the foam and cinnamon like my first one had. Unfortunately, I didnt drink it and left it behind along with the cold breakfast we were served. I didn't want to risk anything ending up in our food so we just ate a small portion. We order chocolate chip pancakes, hot ham and cheese croissant, eggs bene, and country fried steak. Food was just "ok" and definitely not worth the price, but hey you're in Vegas!

Yelp
Conveniently located close to the parking garage entrance/exit, at Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. The restaurant is a sit down or To-Go restaurant. When I visited, between lunch and dinner, early afternoon, only the To-Go menu was available. I chose the Classic Caprese sandwich ($16) which was served on a 6" roll, and I had a bottle of Pepsi ($4) with my meal. For a quick bite, this was perfect. My sandwich was delicious. I can eat it again! Service was good. Pretty simple. Order, pay and pick up. The restaurant has a patio area where you can sit and eat your food, even a to go order. The patio is overlooking the walkways but not directly the Casino, and you can hear the music from generally every direction. It's a nice place to grab a quick bite or maybe a dinner when the dining room opens.

Yelp
We had a couple meals at citizens while staying at the Mandalay Bay, one being take out, and the other in the restaurant proper. For the eat at the restaurant meal I had the chicken teriyaki bowl which was very simple but very good. It consisted of mixed veg, chicken, white rice, and a teriyaki sauce. I ate about 1/2 and took the rest with for later. For takeout we had the loaded chicken nachos and the spinach and artichoke dip. Both very good. I wouldn't hesitate to go to citizen's.

Yelp
We stopped by here a few times while we stayed at the Delano. The food was tasty and the service was very friendly. I had the NY Steak and scrambled eggs for brunch the first day. The portions were good sized and I enjoyed the side of pico with the eggs. The second stop was for lunch. I couldn't decide between the buffalo wings or the cobb salad. The server recommended having the cobb, but with the chicken tossed in buffalo sauce. That worked out perfectly. Everyone else loved the burgers and fries, plus our drinks were poured nicely.

Yelp
So I've been here multiple times over the years and service and food has been okay. We were back here in Vegas again for our kid's sports tournament, so hubs and I decided to have dinner here around 9:30p while waiting for our kid to finish up. We finished eating dinner and ordered her food to go. She showed up before her food was ready, so she asked our server (who was very sweet from start to finish) if she could sit with us until her food was ready. Our server said it was ok so she pulled a chair from one of the empty tables (by now it's about 10:30p and the hall that we were sitting in was maybe half full?), but was stopped by the Asian manager. He rudely told her that this was a service only area and she needed to go sit outside. He basically treated our teenage kid like sh** and kicked her out. She was taken aback but quietly obliged and sat outside to wait for us and her food. We then complained to him that he was rude to her and that she just wanted to sit with us for a few minutes until her food came. He then proceeded to say that adding a seat to our table would block the walkway and that it'd be a fire hazard. AYFKM?! That's not what he told her. Besides, there was another table with chairs that blocked the same walkway. Isn't that already a fire hazard then?? WTF. He didn't apologize or anything. Instead, he gave us the "sorry, but that's the rule" sh**. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't about our kid not being able to sit with us even for a few minutes. It was the way he handled the situation. For example, he could've said TO US, THE PARENTS, "Sorry, but we're not allowed to block the walkway, would you mind having your child wait outside?" Or even a "Can we move you all to a bigger table while you wait for your food?" (If the walkway was really the reason...but not even sure that was it) Either way, there were better ways to handle this and for both of us who have experience in the customer service industry, this was just piss poor management. Won't be back as long as he's the manager.

Yelp
Wonderful! Amazing service, and wonderful food. We went twice over our vacation, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both visits were great. Our servers were attentive and the food came very quick. Their ribeye was delicious!
