So I've been here multiple times over the years and service and food has been okay. We were back here in Vegas again for our kid's sports tournament, so hubs and I decided to have dinner here around 9:30p while waiting for our kid to finish up.
We finished eating dinner and ordered her food to go. She showed up before her food was ready, so she asked our server (who was very sweet from start to finish) if she could sit with us until her food was ready. Our server said it was ok so she pulled a chair from one of the empty tables (by now it's about 10:30p and the hall that we were sitting in was maybe half full?), but was stopped by the Asian manager. He rudely told her that this was a service only area and she needed to go sit outside. He basically treated our teenage kid like sh** and kicked her out. She was taken aback but quietly obliged and sat outside to wait for us and her food. We then complained to him that he was rude to her and that she just wanted to sit with us for a few minutes until her food came. He then proceeded to say that adding a seat to our table would block the walkway and that it'd be a fire hazard. AYFKM?! That's not what he told her. Besides, there was another table with chairs that blocked the same walkway. Isn't that already a fire hazard then?? WTF. He didn't apologize or anything. Instead, he gave us the "sorry, but that's the rule" sh**.
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't about our kid not being able to sit with us even for a few minutes. It was the way he handled the situation. For example, he could've said TO US, THE PARENTS, "Sorry, but we're not allowed to block the walkway, would you mind having your child wait outside?" Or even a "Can we move you all to a bigger table while you wait for your food?" (If the walkway was really the reason...but not even sure that was it) Either way, there were better ways to handle this and for both of us who have experience in the customer service industry, this was just piss poor management. Won't be back as long as he's the manager.
