"Taco Tuesdays are wallet-friendly at this taqueria, where nearly all of the tacos are under $5. Founded by Mexico City native Gerry Torres, City Tacos opened its first neighborhood shop 10 years ago in North Park before branching out to seven additional locations, including the recent OB Playground in Ocean Beach. Traditional tacos include pollo asado and slow-cooked pork carnitas while house favorites range from the Mexicali with Angus steak, poblano peppers, and mashed potatoes dressed with crema fresca to the Scallop Dreams — scallops flambéed with a pepper cream and crowned with Mexican squash.
