"With its Medieval-esque stone walls, flickering candelabras dangling from double-height ceilings, toe-tapping accordion soundtrack, and display case of antique Balkan weapons, Çka ka Qëllu in Stamford has the unique vibe of “last good supper before going off to war.” Fortunately, it’s only good times ahead when dining here, particularly if you go with a group, get a round of cocktails, and order any sort of meat sitting in or drizzled with white sauce. No table at this Albanian restaurant is complete without the creamy sausage dip, fasul (a savory white bean and sausage stew), mantia (browned, pillowy veal dumplings in yogurt sauce), and the mixed grill, which includes variously shaped ground meats that push the boundaries of acceptable levels of salt, in a good way. While the vast quantity of animal products across the menu might scare a vegan away, pescatarians will be more than satisfied with the crispy and not-too-chewy octopus served with a peppery arugula salad. Stave off the end-of-meal meat sweats by ordering the creamy trileche cake and pair it with a delicious cereal milk cocktail, which tastes exactly how it sounds. photo credit: Sam Schwab" - Chloe Zale

The outside may not look like much but the interior decor was beautiful! While the options for vegetarians are limited, an Albanian friend explained how the regional cuisine is very meat and bread heavy. Therefore, making it an authentic Albanian restaurant. And the few options they had, were delicious…we wiped all the dishes clean. To the point where none of us had room for dessert; perhaps during my next visit which will be soon! Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try a new cuisine!

Google
Great establishment! We were surprised with the amount of detail that had gone through the interior design. It was definitely nice seeing how the restaurant was favored by all ethnicities. Quite nice to see albanian food getting some proper recognition With that being said, the waiting team was fantastic and definitely very helpful. Feel free to ask them if you can’t recognize any of the dishes on the menu. The food was outstanding and we enjoyed every moment. We’ll definitely be back soon

This place has a unique ambience with rustic decor. The entrance was hidden around a back alley. We visited for dinner around 5 PM on a Saturday, and while it was moderately crowded, we were seated without much wait. The menu is simple with dishes that we weren’t entirely familiar with. The servers were patient and helpful, taking the time to explain the options. The bread served was fresh. The food had bold flavors that stood out with most dishes having cheese. The portion sizes were reasonable, and the presentation was also good.

First time trying Albanian food and what a great experience. The atmosphere is beautiful inside. We started with drinks. Both the Balkan 75 and Pear cosmo were made to perfection. For apps we had bread paired with feta cheese, olives and tomatoes. I ordered the Goulash and loved it, although warning it’s really hot so make sure to give it time to cool down.

Google
I'm going to start with the good: the service was great and friendly, and the interior design is very unique. Now the bad: I'll be honest I have no clue why this place has such high ratings. I ordered almost 8 dishes to try multiple new things and only 1 of those was good. Even the grilled meat platter which is hard to mess up, just did not taste good. The meat was under seasoned or simply did not have quality flavor. The beef dumplings was the best dish. The chicken liver dish was simply not for me. The dessert baklava had no crunch texture to it. Only 1 cocktail was good, the other two simply weren't. All in all, CT just has way better ethnic food to offer than what this place serves. And often some places are even cheaper and higher quality meats and dishes.

My wife and I are wanna be foodies. There is a dissertation on the rich history of Albanian food related to this family. It represents the restaurant exactly the way describe friendly atmospherically homey and comfortable. In addition to food is comfort food with a artisan flair. The cocktails were just as good as the food. What made the whole experience what it was is great service and live band atmosphere. It’s not just dining it’s an experience. Thank you for the hospitality. Looking forward to our next visit.

Google
It’s a beautiful museum restaurant. Servers are extremely welcoming. Got caught up in conversation so forgot to take pics of the main courses (grilled chicken and mixed meats platters). Everything was prepared to perfection and absolutely delicious.

Google
Food is exceptionally good. The meat platter was quite interesting including cow liver. Chicken was a little tough to chew but overall had a great dinner. I was a little disappointed with the slow service had to wait good 5-10 minutes to get a menu and get hold of server to order but aside from that very satisfied.

Yelp
Wow! Cka Ka Qellu is a culinary and aesthetic delight that satisfies all of the senses! All of them. We were easily able to make reservations online for this Stamford location. We arrived to a joyous and bustling atmosphere with wonderful smells and 18th and 19th century decor and artifacts that made us feel like we stepped into another land and time. We were seated within minutes and greeted by our waiter, promptly ordering Albanian beers. We loved the beers. Next came the appetizers: Mantia, which are veal stuffed dumplings that are so rich and delctable, lecenik, a savory cornbread with spinach and cottage cheese, and tartoa, chilled yogurt with minced cucumber and garlic drizzle. All unique and absolutely delicious and we would get them all again and again. For the entree we shared the mixed grill platter: grilled veal sausages, Albanian meatballs, and sausage. All amazingly flavorful. Our server was friendly, welcoming and consistent from beginning to end. The food was so delicious and fresh, and the vibe was relaxed and inviting, with all clearly appreciating the tremendous food and company. The restrooms were clean and we parked in a paid garage, but on street parking available where you can find it. This is a place not to be missed! We cannot wait to return to try every single dish on the menu and highly recommend. Wow! This is what dining out should be!

Yelp
I couldn't be happier that Çka Ka Qellu exists! Walking in felt like being back home. The decor is lovely, and the staff is super friendly. Speaking my native language made the experience even more special. The food? Absolutely delicious! Each dish was fresh and bursting with flavor. I honestly can't pick a favorite because everything was so good. If you're looking for a great meal, I highly recommend checking this place out. You won't leave hungry or disappointed!

Yelp
I've never tried Albanian cuisine, and am glad I did. This is a meat-heavy menu, so if that's not your thing, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. Walking into the restaurant, I was impressed with the décor. The owner invested quite a lot in the space ... more than I would have expected ... making the atmosphere truly inviting. After cocktails at the bar, we were seated upstairs (equally well appointed) and ordered some wine and starters. We shared the Sausage dip and Ajvar, which arrived with freshly baked (and very dense) bread. The dips were lovely but the Mantia (veal-stuffed dumplings) were outrageously tasty. Our server recommended Tasqebap (basically, veal meatballs in a rich sauce), which was delicious, along with Skenderbeg (essentially a friend meat roll), which we also loved. Among the entrees, these were the standouts. We shared the Berxolle Dukagjini (pounded veal and cheese with a dense mushroom gravy), which we liked but not as much as the prior two. Service was good but not exceptional. We ran out of water a few too many times, and even though various servers frequently passed our table, I would have appreciated a little more attentiveness. It was a busy Saturday night so I cut the team a little slack. With three glasses of wine and two cocktails (but no dessert ... to stuffed) the total was $240 (including 20% gratuity) for three of us. Price-to-value ratio was about where it should be.

Yelp
I never had Albanian food. The ambience of this place is an amazing, you almost feel like you're not in CT. The service was great and attentive . I had a lamb dish in a roux. We had some tasty apps and fresh hot bread at the table. It's a must try

Zuzu P.

Yelp
Food was great but we had a terribly rude and useless waiter. Will not be going back again, it's not worth it for service like that.

Tracy P.

Yelp
I loved the atmosphere!! Truly amazing decor!! And the food was amazing!! It's was my first Albania experience to my remembrance and I'll will be back for sure!! I asked for recommendations and the server was spot on in everything he suggested. I ordered enough food for five people but I had to try everything!!!

Enxhi B.

Yelp
In laws came to town, which meant we had to show them around to some nice spots they don't have in the south We had previously tried Cka Ka Qellu in the Bronx and now that we moved to Connecticut, it was only fitting to try the Stamford location. The interior was nice and roomy. We got some wine and a bunch of different platters to share. We got the village salad, the baked cheese, Tav Dheu, and the mixed grilled platters with a bottle of wine. Everything was soooo tasty. We left with full stomachs and hearts lol.

Marc W.

Yelp
We went for lunch since I had rare Saturday off. The location and interior with all of the antiques was stunning. You feel like you're in a castle or special room with these amazing doors! The first waiter was not too helpful and attended to a more crowded part of the room. But then a nice young woman came and greeted us. She helped explain how the dishes were made. This was our first time eating real Albanian food. We loved the Shop salad and the large breads were to die for --hot and delicious! One of the savory dishes with cheese was a little heavy. We also got the Grill plate and the round one which had a little bit of spice was absolutely delicious. For desert, we had a Baklava which was a little different than the Greek version--we preferred this Albanian one.

Karoly S.

Yelp
This is a must try hidden gem in Stamford! The venue feels like you are at a friends house for dinner. The menu offers a great selection of traditional Albanian dishes, and everything we tried was flavorful and well-prepared. The lamb and the "byrek" were standout dishes, rich in taste and expertly cooked. Their menu highlights veal in many ways, so be aware if you are not a meat eater, but they do have options for everyone. Their bread was one of the best I've ever had. Service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great place to try out.

Tiffany R.

Yelp
Cka Ka Qellu delivered an incredible dining experience that we're still talking about. Every dish we tried was outstanding, and the attention to detail in both the food and service made it truly memorable. The octopus was the standout dish for us--perfectly cooked with a crunchy exterior and tender, flavorful meat. The meat platter was equally impressive, with perfectly seasoned cuts that showcased the chef's expertise. To finish, we had the baklava, which was absolutely phenomenal--crispy, sweet, and perfectly balanced. What made the experience even better was the manager taking the time to personally check in with us. It's rare to see such genuine engagement, and we really appreciated the thoughtful touch. Cka Ka Qellu is a place where every detail, from the food to the hospitality, is done right. If you're looking for bold flavors and exceptional service, this spot is a must-visit!

Yelp
Really special place. Absolutely stunning building made to look like a medieval castle. The waitstaff greeted us and made us feel very welcome. They were helpful to explain the menu to me since this was my first time here. Started off with sausage dip appetizer which came with some magical bread! Next we had the veal dumplings which are soooo delicious. I will be craving this place and will happily drive the 1.5 hours to go back! Lastly we had the Qofte Shari Traditional Albanian ground veal stuffed with kashkaval and kacamak. Truly amazing and unique. Loved the food so much! Had no more room but took a baklava to go! The drinks were made perfectly as well. Run, don't walk!

Emmy Y.

Yelp
Found this lovely Albanian restaurant tucked away. Charming decoration and set up. Very comfortable feeling and ambiance. We ordered the Ayjar roast pepper dip to go with the fresh bread. We ordered the Mediterranean salad and Tava Kosi as well as the Tava Mantia. The yogurt sauce in the Tava Mantia was delicious. The Ayjar was a great spread for the bread and had a sweet and mellow flavor and texture. We had Baklava. Was good but a little too sweet for me. I have to come back again to try other items in the menu. The service was good. They helped with explaining the menu and after checking if everything was Ok we had a great time sampling and catching up. It was nice not to be hurried or pressured. Looking forward to coming back.

Imran R.

Yelp
Was given the worst table even though we had a reservation. Got the whole fish, which had a smell. This was a huge disappointment. Octopus was good, but is $30 for ONE piece so it's basically a $30 salad. The lamb dumplings were the highlight of the night. It's a small dish so that's not saying much. Not planning on going back any time soon.

Michael K.

Yelp
Conveniently located next to the Summer Street parking garage, Cka Ka Qellu has excellent ambiance, appropriate noise level, and ample seating. The cocktails and food are top notch (I recommend the meat burek). Service is friendly and attentive. I will be back.

Francesca A.

Yelp
Place can accommodate a lot of guests but with a very cozy setting. Food and service were excellent. It s very authentic food and a lot of artifacts from Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro. Felt like dining in a century old caste.

Danielle B.

Yelp
Food and ambiance were amazing!! This place is a must try! You won't be disappointed.

Karissa D.

Yelp
Beautiful interior, makes you feel like you're out of the country. The vibes were also good, it was a Saturday night and they had live music playing. All of the food came out hot & fresh! The fresh out the oven bread was delicious and huge. Apps were yummy, especially the olives. I loved the stuffed cabbage, it felt like comfort food. Overall I would come back here again, make sure to make a reservation, it gets really busy!

Agnes P.

Yelp
I was intrigued by this place as I had seen on a friend's feed. I had gone in there with no expectations and wow they blew my taste buds away. The servers were really nice though I wish they came around more often as our party wanted try so many different things. We ended up staying 3 hours for lunch due to this. The time was well spent though. The menu is online only and some items didn't have descriptions so it was hard to decipher which was best to get. The food is incredibly delicious so I would love to have the chance to dine here again. The high table area was closed off when we went. I am unsure how that was utilized. My original reservation was for 2 and I could not obtain it for 3. They were moderately busy for a Saturday lunch. The whole restaurant was decorated with intriguing pieces. I'd like to observe a little more in the future.

Richard S.

Yelp
My lady and I happened upon this place and can't wait to return. Fantastic food and a great place to sit. The bar staff were engaging and efficient and walked us through some highlights on the menu.

Leslie K.

Yelp
Beautiful ambience and delicious food. A perfect place for a date night or special occasion. Branzino was so delicious -- beautifully charred and so flavorful. Wish we had room for dessert. Will definitely be returning!

Allison C.

Yelp
What a unique restaurant! I've never had Albanian food before and really loved how immersive this experience was with the vibe of the restaurant. Everything we had was delicious! Some favorites were the mix grill platter, baked cheese, and veal stuffed dumplings. Being Polish, I was drawn to their version of stuffed cabbage and really liked it! The desserts and drinks were awesome too, and the food came out quickly. Definitely a cool spot to check out in Stamford!

Anatoli L.

Yelp
In a word, outstanding. We visited the restaurant for dinner. From the moment we stepped in, we were absolutely delighted by the ambiance. There was a feeling of visiting the medieval town with all the artifacts - old gates, tunnels, castle walls and more. Very good drinks and wine menu - my wife had Strawberry Margarita, that was not too sweet and very tasty. I had a glass of Albanian white wine (Chardonnay) which was world class delicious. We started with a few appetizers and savory dishes. Home-made bread was a riot. It went very well with pepper dip. Mantia - veal dumplings were very tasty, and so was Burek (we had the one with cheese). Albanian meatballs were incredibly tasty, perfectly seasoned. I had Fasul, a white-bean dish similar to cassoulet and served in the clay vessel - homey, comfortable, delicious. Excellent service - prompt, friendly, attentive. Most highly recommended.

Zikfrid Z.

Yelp
I was there last night for the live band and the owner unplugged the speaker only because the singer started to sing Greek music. Very racist and unprofessional owner. Ruined the night for us and we will never come back.

Kozeta Z.

Yelp
The place was nice and the food was OK but the owner was racist and disrespectful. He had a band playing live music and once the singer started to play a Greek song the owner disconnected the speaker and disrupted the entire performance. It destroyed the atmosphere for us and we left. Owner embarrassed the band, singer and made everyone feel uncomfortable. Very unprofessional of him.

Ilona K.

Yelp
We've been to this restaurant twice and enjoyed it both times. This time, I took my picky toddler. The restaurant is stunning! After we left, my son told everyone he had lunch in a castle. The beautiful chandeliers and antiques enhance the intricate and carefully curated interior. The beauty of the restaurant is only enhanced by the delicious food! Service was good - it was sometimes hard to get our server's attention, but food came out in a timely manner. For appetizers, we ordered the Tarator and Shop Salad. For entrees, we ordered the Mantia and Qofte. Lastly, Baklava and Albanian Trilece for dessert. Every single dish was delicious! The Tarator is creamy and light. It made a perfect pairing to our other dishes. The Shop Salad was very fresh with an acidic dressing that cut through the richness of the other dishes we ordered. The Mantia dumplings were well seasoned and the flakey puff pastry crust made it very unique. The Qofte was probably my favorite dish. The slightest bit of heat from the crushed red peppers enhanced the already flavor-rich dish. The portion sizes were on the smaller side for the price, but more than enough for 2 adults and a toddler. The bread that accompanied our meal was heavenly! It was light and airy, but held it's shape well for dipping and snacking. It's hard to stop eating it. Normally, I'm not a fan of tres leches and similar types of cakes, because I find them to be too sweet. The Albanian Trilece cake is the only variation that I like. The texture is delicate and it's not cloyingly sweet. My son refused to leave any. He insisted we take literally 2 bites of cake home for later. The baklava was good, but doesn't compare to the Trilece cake. We will definitely be back! There is a parking lot directly across from the restaurant, which makes it very convenient. If you haven't tried Albanian food, try Cka Ka Qellu.

Mike S.

Yelp
The restaurant is beautiful. Very unique decorations and the waiters wear Albanian style clothes. It's very cool. Food was pretty good too. The bread here was amazing. First time I've tried Albanian food and it was a great experience overall.

John G.

Yelp
I am ashamed to say this restaurant has been in Stamford for years and yesterday was our first time trying it. It was outstanding! We were a party of 4 and everyone enjoyed everything. We ordered appetizers dips which came with individual small loaves of fresh baked, HOT out of the oven bread, the size of a baby's head (not that I eat many babies heads, lol) All the main course were hot and delicious. My wife, who is not a meat eater, ordered the stuffed pepper as a main (which she loved). She also raved about her arugula salad. Drinks were outstanding as was the staff. Particular shout out to Ellie tha bartender/waitress. The decor is outstanding. You expect Europe to be outside the door other than a parking lot in Stamford. We'll be back. Don't skip this one

Yelp
In town for a wedding and we were so happy to try out Cka Ka Qellu. The experience made this place so worth it. Ambiance: this place is BEAUTIFUL and it's got its own unique look that pays homage to its Albanian heritage. We sat outside and enjoyed the patio area but the inside also looked so nice and beautiful. Kudos to the designer. Service: spectacular. We loved our waiter. He was patient kind funny and had opinions when we asked about what's good (love opinions be "everything is good"). We had a blast. Note that while Open Table let's you reserve for a certain time that you have to check opening hours because the hours don't align with OpenTable. We had that issue but made the most of it by exploring the farmers market nearby until opening (it wasn't the servers fault, just a known issue with OpenTable apparently). Food! Mantia was delicious and love the sauce that it came with. My favorite was the Qofte Shari. We also enjoyed the Tava Kosi. Wish I could remember all the dishes but we went with the waiter recommendations and shared so everyone could taste the food. Every dish was absolutely delicious. Parking was relatively easy on Saturday opening hours (you have to pay for street parking). But we got a spot right by the restaurant. Restroom is very clean which means the bathroom is clean. Overall - loved this restaurant in Stamford. Would come back!

Yelp
Must try! Çka ka Qëllu in Stamford! This is a Connecticut Summer Bucket List place to visit such an amazing experience! Think Traditional Albanian and Kosovan dishes showcased in a rustic, stylish environment with old-world accents of exposed wood beams and brick walls. Ramiz Kukaj, owner of Çka ka Qëllu, was inspired to open his restaurant when his son asked him where he could take his friends for authentic Albanian cuisine. In his research, he came up empty-handed and decided it would become his life's mission to bring Albanian cuisine and culture to NYC and Stamford. After years of collecting 18th and 19th-century Albanian artifacts to decorate the space, Çka Ka Qëllu is now one of the most unique restaurant/museum experiences. We tried: Pepper Dip- creamy sauteed peppers and the bread for dipping is amazing! Sausage Dip- classic traditional albanian veal sausage dip Baked Cheese Tradita Mixed Grill Platter- combination of qebapa, qofte, sausage, chicken & liver Berxolle Dukagjini- pounded veal, kashkaval cheese topped with mushroom gravy Skenderbeg- a roll of smoked meat, stuffed with cheese, breaded and fried, and doused with a creamy white dressing Sheqerpare- dessert You have to see this and experience this for yourself. You will fall in love. I can't wait to return!

E J.

Yelp
Fantastic experience. Food was approachable, delicious and new (granted I've never tried Albanian cuisine). The appetizers were solid, especially the pepper dip and the burek (looks like a large pretzel but with texture of filo dough and filled with minced meat). As a group we ordered an assortment of clay dishes and grilled meats. The shared mixed order worked out great for everyone to sample. Well prepared without being overcooked/dried out. Service was fantastic and patient. The ambience is cozy and nice despite the large space, and parking is super easy as it's tucked away at the back of the main shopping row and next to a large public garage.

Allison K.

Yelp
Had a great dinner here. We asked the server to bring the best dishes, without having us pick them, and she delivered. Everything was delicious. Ambience was great. The only odd thing was that our server never came back to explain what she ordered for us. It would have been cool for her to tell us what she picked and checked in on how we liked it. Actually, we never saw her again. Someone else ended up finishing up with us. All in all would definitely come back though!

Scott S.

Yelp
I've dined here four times and the first three times were fabulous. It's not common to find an Albanian restaurant so I'm happy to support their business. But it works both ways. The most recent time we requested to sit downstairs in the main dining room because it was Saturday and an authentic Albanian singing and dancing show was on the menu. Unfortunately, we were told that since we were not Albanian we were not permitted to sit downstairs. We persisted and were told we could sit downstairs but there was a $50 charge per person. We were shuffled to the corner table which was the worst. Thankfully they didn't charge the $50 but the non inclusion left a bad taste in my mouth. Other non Albanian friends have also only been allowed to sit upstairs. The cheese and sausage dips are lovely but filling. The service is decent but not spectacular.

Lisa R.

Yelp
Food was v. good for the other 7 guests but there was only one gluten free dish for me so no options. I give it a 3 because the service was atrocious and terribly slow. It took a while to get water and menus. Everything took a while. We had to motion to our server to place any order. No attention was given to our table, we were left on our own to figure out how to get service. We needed help with the menu portion sizes, to determine whether we order individual entrees or to share. Also the menu was not self explanatory. The server did not offer to help after he was asked. Just said to order everything at once. The table was not cleared between courses. Half the table was cleared when we had to ask for the check. That took a while. Dishes left on table for a long time. Very disappointing. Shame about the service as food was decent. Ambiance was good. Will not go back.

Chante C.

Yelp
The space is beautiful. Amazing how they completely renovated it, you'd never how many sweaty, drunk bodies were smashed into that space a few moons ago. If you've been out in Eastern Europe, then this is a real microcosm, including the artistic impressions of Eastern European leaders and antique revolvers. It does have a romantic feel to it. The waiter service was OK--I was pretty surprised because everyone else raved about it...the managerial oversight was clear though, they run a smooth operation. The food was underwhelming and we thought overpriced for the portion. We ordered an entree with lamb and there were barely more than 5 bites of it in the whole meal. The bread is fantastic though and the dips went very nicely with it. The wine was also underwhelming and I tried 3 of them. All in all, I don't really get the hype but it was a nice cultural experience.

D H.

Yelp
The food was good as well as the service. It did not WOW me and maybe that is because I rarely have Albanian food. The restaurant is beautiful!

Larry R.

Yelp
Interesting decor, professional service - different food, hard to figure out what to order. Lots of veal dishes, wish there were other meat choices. It's worth a try, if you can find the restaurant, down a short unknown dead-end alley/street.

aatiq T.

Yelp
ambience was really cool and service are friendly foods are good . 8/10 in experience

Christina H.

Yelp
Nestled in the back alley behind Fiesta, we would walk past it often and not think about it. Nonetheless, I can't remember the name but only that it was a bar before that and they did a great job shedding that image of what it ised to be in that space. My first time having Albanian food and it was a very good experience! The atmosphere is very romantic and beautiful. Large rustic tables with decorative wine racks, wood barrels, a stage that had a live singer one Friday evening. The waitstaff wore traditional Albanian outfits to add to the feel of the restaurant. Food was a bit pricey but good quality. You need to be in the mkiService was attentive and kind. Highly recommended the assorted meat platter for any groups and certainly my favorite was the octopus and the crepe appetizer. There were certain meals where you need to be adventurous with such as liver and goat cheese.

Rachel Z.

Yelp
Vegetarian dining is possible. A review of the menu beforehand did not make it seem likely but I ended up winging it and was pleasantly surprised with my options. Lecenik (moist cornbread made with spinach and cheese) was interesting and good, but probably won't need to order again as I watch my carbs and it was dense. Burek stuffed with cheese was an Albanian take on the Greek phyllo stuffed cheese appetizer but this was the size of an nyc street pretzel. The baked cheese dish was hot, salty and delicious (feta). The stuffed peppers were totally vegetarian and a very surprisingly delicious comfort food. Rice and veggie stuffing was fresh, not greasy, and healthy. Tarator was an Albanian take on tzatziki and was also very good. Vegans would struggle at the restaurant although there are salads.

Agnes A.

Yelp
The place looks like a charming medieval castle with beautiful Albanian artifacts. We shared the Mantia (veal dumplings) in warm yogurt sauce, and used our bread to dip in the sauce... this was so delicious, and very much a comfort food, I would come back just for this. We also had melty Kashkaval cheese and then the meat combo which included tasty liver and lamb.

Antonio M.

Yelp
Ambiance and decor are great. Food at best ok - pretty bland. Service was pretty poor. Food order was not correct and drinks were also a bit of a mess. Maybe waiters in training. I will give it one more go later this year. Maybe a once off.

Christine M.

Yelp
The way the place is designed is beautiful, cozy, and inviting. Very clean inside, big, and spacious with lots of seating. This has come to be one of my favorite restaurants of all time. I visited for the first time 2 weeks ago and have gone back 4 times more since. I go with others just so they can experience the deliciousness of the food here as I have. I have yet to try a dish that wasn't to my liking. Though they're inconsistent with their serving portions, I love it here and everything about it. The service is fast. staff is polite. My first time eating at an Albanian restaurant and I'm sad I hadn't had the experience sooner. Forever customer here.

Alexandra A.

Yelp
Very original restaurant. You definitely feel like you are in the heart of the balkans! Food is spectacular. Cooked with true balkan flavors. Reminded me of my grandma's cooking. I would highly recommend if you are interested in this ultimate food experience. Bravo!

Yelp
The food was AMAZING. The drinks were also so good . We had the Paper Planes cocktail. So yum ! Only negative I would have to say is the service was very slow . We didn't get our drinks until after we finished our meal .

Yelp
Wow! What a hidden gem! People, please try this place! My hubby and I came here for dinner and it was amazing! I mean as soon as you step on the property, it feels like you just took a flight to Albania. Very Mediterranean like. Absolutely beautiful restaurant inside. It's cold in there, so ladies wear something warm. The decor is beautiful and vintage. Honestly, my husband and I felt like we were in the Mediterranean. The staff is very friendly, polite and inviting. They answered all the questions we had about the menu. For appetizers, we ordered the cheese pickled pepper. That was so mouth watering delicious. Their bread is very soft and delicious. You can tell they make it there. I had the Tasqubap. Delicious. Cooked to perfection. Nothing bad about it. My husband had a delicious dish too! We are definitely coming back here!! It was so delish!

Yelp
Fantastic, cool, interesting, different, loved it. The Stamford restaurant is really cool - like a mid euro castle Shakespeare ish dining room. So much fun. The staff was friendly , service was personal and genuine. Had the clam dish stuffed pepper for my entree and loved it. Highly recommend.

Yelp

Yelp
This place is fantastic!! A great addition to the Stamford food scene. This is an authentic Armenian restaurant. We had the cucumber and tomatoes salad. Armenian Yogurt dip. Stuffed peppers and lamb and yogurt dressing. I can't remember the Armenian names of the dishes. The interior is sophisticated and rustic at the same time. You should give this place a turn on your culinary chart.

Yelp
All-around great experience on both of my visits. I highly recommend this restaurant due to the food, quality of the drinks, friendliness of the staff, and the overall unique ethnic experience. I'm confident you will enjoy everything about this restaurant and will be returning.
