"Just a bit down the road from the OG Lunch, you’ll find Clam Bar. The menu is similar, and while we love the lobster salad roll here too, we like to come to Clam Bar for everything else—oysters, clams, and even whole lobsters. The all-outdoor setting is the perfect place to eat before or after you hit the beach, and they even have a solid wine and beer list." - melissa kravitz hoeffner, team infatuation

"We love the setting of Clam Bar—it’s a roadside clam shack on the way to and from Montauk with umbrella-shaded picnic tables. The always-satisfying lobster roll is pretty similar to what you’ll find at Bostwick’s: finely chopped lobster meat on a toasted potato bun with a little celery and minimal mayo. The luxe hot lobster roll is also very much worth the trip, with bright red knuckle and claw meat poached in garlic butter, tucked into a toasty bun, and topped with pea shoots and scallions. "As you reach the final narrow neck of land in Napeague, Long Island that leads to Montauk, two generic places loom on the horizon, the first hawking lobster rolls, the next hoisting a sign that simply reads, Clam Bar. The fried clams are great, but even better are the steamed siphon clams served with drawn butter, a participatory meal that can leave an entire carload of sojourners delighted." - Robert Sietsema
"It’s a thin spit of land that has the clam bar, known for a good beach cocktail." - Tierney Plumb
