"The exciting return of Cleo’s French Quarter location in February 2023 after a three-year pandemic shutter also marks the return of one of the area’s most elegant halal dining experiences. It’s a stylish, sit-down version of the grab-and-go store located on Canal Street, and it has reopened on Decatur with a revamped halal menu geared towards a French Quarter crowd, adding a significant number of seafood specialties as well. Had dinner with my husband our last night in New Orleans. I had Lamb Shank with veg, Salad And hummus. He had lamb kabob with salad and rice. Everything was delicious. Salad fresh pita fresh and warm. Kebob seasoned and cooked to perfection. Lamb shank was tender and juicy. Wish we had found this place earlier . Will visit again next time we come to NO! Would like to eat everything on the menu. Sorry we ate half the food before photo.

We ordered the Sautéed vegetable platter with Basmati rice and the chicken kakab (with pita and humus) They were both delicious and the portions were excellent. The humus was freshly prepared and it was out of this world. This is one of the few where the meat was cooked perfectly, the pieces were succulent. I could cut it with just a fork. The basmati rice was aromatic with saffron. Strongly recommend for good food.

I'm a gluten intolerant Vegetarian and THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE!!! I would give 10 stars if I could! The service was a little slow but we were having a great time and eating some of the best food I think I've ever had 😍 I didn't realize there was a store connected to the other side so the servers would be walking back and forth which I thought was super convenient. We came here 2 nights in a row. It is GORGEOUS in here

It was a little concerning seeing this restaurant completely empty on a Wednesday night. Still gave it a shot and it was well worth it. The T Bone steak was cooked beautifully, very well seasoned as well as the fries that accompanied it. Definitely give this place a try whenever in NOLA.

After you get tired of shrimp and grits, Poboys, gumbo and étouffée try some fresh new flavors. The food was well seasoned and well prepared. None of the seafood or meat was overcooked. It was just right. The yellow rice and hummus are delicious. Seating and service was fast. In fact I’m surprised this place isn’t more crowded. It would be a nice for groups. There is a natural gas smell when you first walk in that they should look into. The first night the hostess was friendly attentive and fast. However on 08/01 the beautiful long haired hostess took a while to warm up. She seemed distracted or annoyed at first. She was short tempered and seemed 2 when greeting 2 guests. They actually left about 10 minutes later due to the lack of attention they received. We knew the food was good and it was our last night in town so we decided to stay and hope things got better for us and it did. This place is definitely worth a try but needs to be aware that first impressions are a big deal so the host needs to make guests feel welcomed.

The place it’s beautiful and spacious, the hostess was very friendly and nice, she sat us down and brought the menu. The other hostess was very polite and friendly always with a smile. Food arrived and the Hummus with the pita was delish; my husband ordered the Chicken Kabobs and I got the Lamb Kabobs, his Chicken Kebabs was delicious but my Lamb was not good, the meat was hard and rubbery and it was salty, that was the only thing I didn’t like and that’s why I gave a three star ⭐️.

The food was outstanding. Everyone's dish was perfectly cooked and the portions were generous. Service left a lot to be desired, especially since the restaurant was not busy. Also, nowhere on the menu does it say there is automatic gratuity. Besides that, the atmosphere was wonderful. The decor was fantastic and it was very intimate for how open it was. The front door could have been closed to limit the sound coming from passing cars and motorcycles in the Quarter, but it did not ruin the experience. Will definitely visit again and try more of the menu.

This is a really pretty restaurant, everything is new and shiny, very comfortable to sit and dine. The menu is filled with famous Mediterranean kabobs and dishes. I tried the combo platter so I can try all different kinds of kabobs. I didn’t like any of the chicken, beef, or lamb, as all of them were overcooked so much, they were hard to chew or bite. But the shrimp kabob was really good, moist and soft. I did the rice and side of salad it came with. Pita bread was well made. Restaurant has good service, servers pay attention and check on guest. Food comes out within a decent wait time.
