"Cowch Burger Cluck It originally opened last summer as a delivery-only spot in Bronzeville. But after being closed for several months, the fried chicken spot just reopened in a brand new space in Lincoln Park. And while they still have great fried chicken, now they have a burger on their menu which is also really, really good. It’s juicy without being greasy, the brioche bun is perfectly toasted, and their “cowtch” sauce is a wonderfully tangy dijonaise. We also got a side of cheesy sports pepper waffle fries, and you should too. Just note, that while their new spot has a dining room, for now they’re just doing takeout and delivery." - adrian kane

"You need to put this casual sit-down fried chicken spot on your list even if you're not looking to save money. Order their “mother clucker” sandwich—it has a crunchy thigh, squishy brioche bun, and is topped with American cheese, spicy sauce, and pickles. Cluck-It also has a $15 half-chicken that comes with Texas toast, $12 tenders, a great burger, and incredible sides. Desserts are another reason this place stands out—they make an incredible caramel banana pudding and a sweet and savory cornflake sandwich cookie filled with honey buttercream. The headline: High quality fried chicken in an upscale environment. The food is incredibly fresh and you can taste the high quality of the meat. The chicken was fried fresh, had a nice seasoning, and was incredibly juicy! We ordered the Mother Clucker chicken sandwich. You can customize your spice level, but I think the Cluck It Sauce might naturally have a bit of a kick to it. We also ordered a side of cheese fries and mac & cheese. Everything was real good and we left stuffed. I just wish they had beer and cocktails. The sweet tea was perfectly sweetened, but the size was too small.

Got the quarter dark fried chicken and the fried chicken sandwich as an appetizer. The chicken sandwich was one of the best bites of the year that I've had. The sandwich was worth the wait and worth the visit. The food was piping hot when it came out and the breading is intense and very flavorful. 10/10 would go back for the bites.

I have to rank this place among my top 3 fried chicken sandwich spots in the city. The chicken is easily the most tender chicken I've ever had. The exterior is satisfyingly crispy yet it melts in your mouth. I got the mild seasoning which still had a slight kick to it. The Cluck-It Sauce and slaw give it a nice cool down. The yuzu lemonade was very refreshing. If I were forced to make one criticism, I wish they sold a smaller version of the sandwich too for a few bucks cheaper. It's such a monster sandwich and is prone to falling apart and is a little bit pricey. But the flavor is so good, you'll likely ignore that little point like I did. I'll definitely be back. Many times.

I would give Cluck It more stars if I could! Entering the building, I thought we were in the wrong place. It was far too fancy for just another chicken joint. Just another chicken joint is where I was wrong. The server/chef was a delight and passionate about what he was doing. I suffered a bit of sticker shock looking at a $15 Nashville hot chicken sandwich, but when that plate walked out from the kitchen...My mouth dropped. That thing was ginormous and the picture doesn't do it justice. Plus, it was absolutely delicious. The breading was a glorious crunch but didn't outshine or outweigh the chicken like at other places. The thin sliced, house-made pickles, a delicate blend of bread & butter and kosher dill - magical. Best waffle fries I've ever had could with a creamy sport chili cheese sauce couldn't have been better. And the collard greens? Such a delicate balance of savory, tart, and sweet, as if some maple syrup had been added. The macaroni was creamy and luxurious too. The wings, if you can call them that, were more like regular sized drumsticks. All was enough to share. THE BANANA PUDDING. Y'all. It was more like mousse than pudding and the flavors were delicately rich and powerful. I didn't think I could be more impressed, and then I took a bite of something else. I was not disappointed at any turn. Definitely give this place a try - you won't regret it.

First question: How does the food stay so hot during delivery? Like fresh out of the kitchen, wait for it to cool so you don't burn your tongue, hot? Two: If mild makes me feel like hot embers are crackling on my tongue, how hot is Hot and xxhot?? I just had two questions, but in all seriousness, this place is fire. My husband and I have tried the chicken and waffles, mild hot chicken sandwich, chicken tenders, collard greens, fries and mac n cheese and we have zero complaints. The chicken here is so juicy and tender it seems like it can't be possible for it taste so da*n good. The mac n cheese was definitely a chaser after taking a bite into any mild piece of chicken. The seasonings are so delicious, the skin is super crispy. I'm making myself crave Cluck it while writing this review. Highly recommend, 10/10. 100% The chefs know what they're doing here and are consistent with delivering a delicious meal. If you're curious about it, try it.

First off the restaurant is top notch and modern . The chicken is the best quality chicken you will find in Chicago! Chicken and waffles were excellent. The maple syrup was farm fresh , nothing processed or frankenfood about this place. Then the desert comes and my Lord ! So delicious!

Mac and cheese was alright. The waffle fries and chicken sandwich were amazing. If you’re sharing, they will split the chicken sandwich for you. The meat is juicy while the skin was ultra crispy and well seasoned.

Awesomely huge fried chicken sandwiches that are juicy and delicious. The “Hot” flavor is appropriately titled, and goes well with the pickles and aioli. Service was a bit haphazard with the server asking us if we wanted to pack our foods even before we had indicated any signs of completion. Dessert was also brought way too soon. But altogether strong concept with potential.
