We ordered the smash burger and a 3 meet plate with Mac n cheese and Brussels sprouts. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious! We ordered online and food was ready upon arrival. We will definitely be back!

I ordered the brisket bomb and the pit boss sandwich. The brisket bomb was delicious it was the right amount of spice and flavor and filled with brisket, I would definitely recommend. The pit boss sandwich was good as well the brisket was very tender and juicy. I would have liked less topping on the sandwich and more brisket, just my personal preference. I will definitely return to experience more items from the menu! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend and walked out feeling like we just had the best BBQ in New Orleans! Brisket, pulled pork and sausage were our favorites. Loved the smoky beans. The owner is super nice and the service fantastic.

This has to be some of the best BBQ in New Orleans. Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. Not a single thing we ordered was dry or overcooked. You can top every thing off with their unique house made BBQ sauce. The food here is award winning and is a must try for any fan of real BBQ.

Great Mom and Pop BBQ spot in Gentilly. Tender and delicious brisket, pork, chicken and ribs. The side dish of brisket rice is phenomenal. Fair price points given the higher costs of beef lately. Definitely worth your time to drive out there.

Upon entry the smell punches you in the face. And quickly the food punches your taste buds. Best ribs in the city. The texture, flavor, and look was right on. Exactly how central city USED to make their ribs. Nice black bark on the burned ends. The way the gods intended. These folks know how to make sides too, ya’ll. Brussels and brisket dirty rice were flawless. Cracklin were hot and chewy boudin was perfect. The staff was friendly and I’ll return many times. Well worth the 15 minute drive!

The staff was amazing! And it is a woman owned and operated restaurant! The brisket was juicy and very flavorful! And I’ll go back specifically for their brisket dirty rice and pepper jack mac!

I went here today for the first time and I highly recommend it. Everything was made in house. The ladies that work there are very friendly and professional. And, the food was delicious. I’ll definitely be back.

Yelp
The Reuben is more amazing than I can properly describe. It's so full of flavor. I would have never thought that a Bbq joint would rival Stein's Deli for best Reuben in New Orleans, but I think Cochon King might take the crown. The potato salad is also really good. They were sold out of spare ribs, which my husband really wants to try. Will definitely be back. And until then I'll be dreaming of that Reuben.

Yelp
Hear me out, I've read that this place can be a hit or miss depending on the day and I think I must have come on a "miss" day, unfortunately. They're a new business, so it's possible they haven't quite nailed down consistency yet. I think you should keep my review in mind, but this place may be worth a try! Cochon King is a cute little dive-y shop with tables for eating there, and you can definitely smell something good before you even walk in the door. First of all, let me tell you that the prices here are fantastic! They offer cheap meals that fill you up; they don't skimp at all here and they have very generous portions. We tried their 3-meat combo platter ($26) with a side of their "pepper jack mac" and smoked beans. We got the brisket, smoked ribs, and turkey for the 3 meats. The sides were delicious, and the turkey was AMAZING! Juicy, flavorful, tender, soft, and smoky. Everything you can ask for in BBQed turkey. However, the brisket and ribs were not as awesome. The brisket and ribs were both really tough, dry, and none of the fat was rendered. The seasoning, flavor, and the smokiness were good, but it wasn't tender or juicy. A good smokehouse barbeque should be able to cook the meat to where it's falling off the bones and the fat gets rendered, but this wasn't it. I really had to cut into the meat to get them to bite-sized pieces. We ended up finishing the brisket, which was okay, but the ribs were not really edible as it were. We took the ribs home and threw it in a pot of beans we were cooking, and only then did the ribs become soft enough to eat. We also tried the special of the day, which was the $10 chicken BBQ plate. It comes with some pickled onions and cukes and a side of potato salad, which were all good. However, the chicken was disappointing. The flavor was there along with the perfect amount of char, but maybe the heat was too high or it was left on the heat for a bit too long? This meat was dry and tough too. We had a few bites and took the rest of it home, but we didn't even end up finishing it another day. This is rare for us, we're good about finishing leftovers! If the chicken had been on-point, this would have been a deal you couldn't beat! We tried the smoked wings ($10 for 6 pieces) and this was a disappointment as well. Same issue with the meat being too dry and tough. We got some ranch dressing that helped add a bit of moisture to each bite, but it just wasn't very good. All in all, I was really hoping to love this place, but I didn't this time. Maybe I could give this place a shot again, and it'll be on a day when it's a "hit"!

Yelp
We've been here a few times with varying experiences. Customer service is consistently good and wait times have been minimal which is great. My only drawback is the food has been hit or miss. First time the cracklins were on point but the second time they were cold and inedible. The mac and cheese has good flavor but was runny both times I ordered it. I haven't been enough to completely write it off...hoping future visits will be more positive than negative.

Yelp
So I decided to check this food truck out at Wednesday at the square. The barbacoa tacos were truly delicious. They only offered an order of two. The taco was so flavorful. Wish it would've been three, but hey it was still delicious. I cannot wait to try them again!

Yelp
This a food truck located on N. Broad. Stopped here based on a recommendation and was not disappointed. To say my food was delicious is an understatement. The ribs were tender and simply divine. The bbq sauce that accompanies the meal on the side had a hint of tangy spice. The flavor blended perfectly. If in the area, treat yourself to some good barbecue.

Yelp
Ribs, baked beans and potato salad is what I had to go. Honestly, the very best in the City, in my humble opinion!

Yelp
Excellent food & service, found this place by accident after going to the Saints game. Had the burnt ends with smoked chicken wings. The pepper Jack Mac & cheese excellent, totally recommend this place, would totally eat again if I'm back in town

Yelp
This place was really good! Surprisingly good, actually. The location, from the outside doesn't look like much, but this place is a gem. The smoked sausage and prime rib were excellent. The bbq sauce (even though the meat didn't need it) was really flavorful. The baked beans were mediocre, but the meat more than made up for it and the prices were well-worth the portions. The owner stopped by our table and was very hospitable and kind, like most people in New Orleans. I will be visiting again.

Yelp
This is my absolute favorite bbq spot in New Orleans. I drive from the Northshore just to get bbq from here. The food is spectacular, the owner has a great personality, and the staff is super friendly. I wanted to order everything on the menu. This is a must stop spot for anyone.

Yelp
They had a bbq stuffed potato special that I got this past Thursday and it was amazing. I got it with pulled pork.

Yelp
Drool worthy food every time we go. We do miss the fries on the menu but the ribs and brisket more than make up for it.

Lynne H.

Yelp
Great food and friendly people! Had ribs, brisket and sausage on a three meat plate. It stuffed 3 of us! Must try the Mac and cheese!! Will be back.

Yelp
Delish BBQ! Yummy sides! Nice folks. Drove by and smelled the smoke. Not to be missed if you are in the area and hankering for BBQ. Wonderful new place in the back too.
