"After an early morning drop-off or pick-up at Burbank Airport, the first thing on my mind is getting breakfast and caffeine, and this corner spot that’s been open since 2013 remains a loaded institution for egg-laden breakfast plates, cold brew, and classic drip coffee. Breakfast brings smoked salmon toast with avocado and fried capers, as well as a brisket-filled breakfast burrito with pico de gallo. Lunch adds a few more options, including a fried chicken sandwich, a kale Caesar, and tater tots. The Commissary is a delightful addition to an area of Burbank that is mostly comprised of studios and sound stages. Enjoy the only Cortado you'll find in Burbank on their sizable shady patio or hang out under the rooster painting polishing your latest literary masterpiece. The avocado toast is a prime choice if you’re not looking for too heavy of a meal — adding an egg on top only makes it better.
