The 25 Best Bakeries In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"A visit to Coin De Rue in Koreatown can go several ways, from grabbing a to-go box of yuzu sponge cakes and red bean sweet rolls to lounging with an iced dalgona coffee and eating said box of pastries. The odds of the second scenario increase if you order this Korean bakery's masterpiece: the green onion pesto loaf. This gigantic scored bread looks like a garlic knot fell into a vat of radioactive waste and mutated into the Hulk version of itself. It serves four people easily, with melted cheese, scallions, pesto oozing out of every crevice, and pomegranate seeds adding surprise bursts of sweetness. If you order this monster, bring friends—or a good book—because you'll be here a while." - brant cox, sylvio martins, arden shore, cathy park

21 Incredible Pastry Destinations and Bakeries in Los Angeles

"Coin De Rue is an escape. This is the place to meander back and forth and wonder if one can consume squid ink salt bread, milk cake, cheesecake, sesame buns, Hokkaido cake, green onion pesto garlic cream cheese bread, or cookies all in one sitting. Head upstairs and look out the massive window to watch the bustling pace of Koreatown while taking a bite." - Eater Staff

Our Favorite Bakeries In The Country Right Now

"LOS ANGELES Sweets like yuzu sponge cakes and red bean sweet rolls are easy to box up and take home at Coin De Rue in LA, but you’re more likely to house those pastries inside while nursing a dalgona coffee. This Korean bakery’s calling card is the green onion pesto loaf, a gigantic scored bread that looks like a garlic knot fell into a vat of radioactive waste and mutated into the Hulk version of itself. It serves four people easily, with melted cheese, scallions, pesto oozing out of every crevice, and pomegranate seeds adding surprise bursts of sweetness. You’ll want to carve out some time (and bring some friends) to best enjoy this gargantuan masterpiece. " - anne cruz

Google
This was my second time in and there is always something new to try! It’s a small bakery and cafe, which is ideal for me because I feel a sense of comfort as I peruse the many options. I never feel rushed and the employees are always informative and patient with my many questions. There are lots of breads and flat croissants, lots of filled and swirled buns, crunchy and soft options, jammy and savory buttery options, coffees, smoothies, macarons, and cakes.

Google
Coin de rue bakery has many unique and creative bread like the chimney rolls and Dubai chocolate croissant. Taste is good

Hells Bells

Google
After a car wash, I was starving and found this random Korean bakery. I'm used to Paris Baguette, Tous Le Jour, or Cake House (the ones attached to a Korean grocery store) but definitely will come here again. First of all, they are more focused on various types of bread and cookies which I liked. Also, they had plenty of different sizes and price points from $3 to $8 (loaf of bread). The ones on display at the checkout were interesting, like the green onion cheese on a whole loaf of bread cut open in various pieces. Additionally, will definitely come back to try their clam chowder in a bread bowl. Finally, they do have whole cakes and fruit cream sandwiches (Korean/Japanese style). The atmosphere is cozy and clean. The lady running the store was so nice and its clearly marked what type of bread is their special like their olive croissant and black sesame croissant. There is also a seating area outside attached to the bakery. *I didn't even try their drinks yet, which also looked good too*

Google
This place was ADORABLE, parking was a bit odd but it's because this place is small and right in the middle of the block, easy to miss. Place to sit and eat was so cute, food was different and delicious. Heavy on the darker chocolate if you are a milk chocolate fan like me. What got me was the sheer amount of options I had never tried. Very unique, so go in with an open mind. They were out of a few options but I'm used to dessert places selling out early, so just get there early. The strawberries were HUGE. Going back to try the garlic honey toast.

Google
I had such a wonderful first-time experience at COIN DE RUE! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and kind, making me feel welcome right away. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for relaxing or catching up with friends. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. On top of that, the drinks were amazing and paired perfectly with the meal. Everything about my visit exceeded expectations, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for great food, great drinks, and even greater hospitality!

Google
Had to try the croissant tissue bread that's all the rage and it did not disappoint. The bread was super buttery and peeled off exactly like tissue paper. The crookie was a little disappointing because it was way too dry. Coffee was 5/5, I'd come back for more of the bread for sure.

Cla B

Google
I just bought this bread yesterday and was excited to eat it, but I found mold on it already. This store is selling old bread—so gross.

Google
Delicious places for a quick coffee or delicious pastry. I have this great strawberry ice cream /shaved ice. It was absolutely delicious and very light..or try the egg salad sandwiches. They have a wide variety of savory and sweet pastries you're gonna love. Parking was no too bad... I will be coming back.

Yelp
LOVE EVERYTHING! So delicious and good, the service is spectacular and the people were very kind. It was a quaint shop, loved the vibes~ and everything was sooooo good. I live far, but honestly would go back again if I'm in the area. *Just make sure that everything you ordered is received. I was so happy to try this place I didn't notice one of the bakery items wasn't in there. Which is 50/50 fault since I didn't check until I got home, but other than that...honestly I was just so in love with everything I didn't even mind... 10 out of 10 would recommend this place again and again!

Yelp
This cafe tucked away in the shadows of koreatown. came across it since we were en route to the duck restaraunt a blockdown. They had alot of options for being the end of day, made me a little weary. Ended up getting dubai smashed croissant. pretty huge and tasty. not cheap but took me 2 days to eat it actually. We saw a couple in love on the first date, great place to meet strangers, its quiet enough to flirt but safe enough not to meet weirdos. Definitely would try another pastry next time, if I still lived in ktown this spot is amazing to work / study. Lady was so nice! I think shes BTS army

Yelp
I stopped by Coin de Rue in Koreatown for the first time. I originally saw them on an IG reel and finally got to try their salt bread which was perfectly chewy with a buttery, savory finish that totally lived up to the hype. Of course, I couldn't leave without grabbing their signature tissue bread for the week. I have yet to try but this trendy pastry and makes me wonder how it would taste! I did, however, missed out on the chimney bread this time around, but it's at the top of my list for next visit with my girlfriends. I believe they have an option to eat it with ice cream, which is what I wanted to do, but was too full at the time of purchasing my pastries. But next time! I also picked up a sesame butter from a little display they had inside and can't wait to try it out! Parking seemed very limited up top, but was so happy to find out that they have additional parking underground. Definitely a hole-in-the-wall and would recommend trying out their baked goods!

Yelp
I feel scammed. The cashier told me the bread on sale was still very good and was from yesterday. For $15 I got 9 pastries, a deal that I couldn't pass. When biting into the red bean bread it tasted rancid and I spit it out. My partner described it as fermented. Both sausage pastries had mold on the cheese. Furry mold with black spores that could have made us sick. I threw the rest away. I DM'd their socials and hope to get a refund. Selling moldy bread, even if "on sale" is a public hazard. ****update**** They were super apologetic and gave me a full refund and gifted me with a delicious fresh loaf and some spread. But after posting this another person on Instagram mentioned to me that they also had mold on their pastry. And Another reviewer on yelp had the same issue 4 months ago. This is plenty of time to fix the AC . I get that during humid days mold can quickly form, but the red bean was rancid. That's just neglect and a hazard. Please check all your pastries before purchase

Yelp
A trendy café with two stories and lots of tasty pastries and drinks. We came here at around 11 AM on a weekday and it was not too crowded. We found ample seating on the second floor. there is a parking lot right next to it as the café is located in a plaza. there is music that is playing quite loudly, so I'm not sure if the ambiance is the best for studying. clean bathrooms and well maintained space. We ordered two pastries and three drinks. The dalgona latte was quite sweet and had Dalgona pieces on the top. The Matcha and other coffee latte we ordered were both good as well. We liked their pastries - we ordered the yam bread and dragons egg which is a sesame mochi bread. Both were very tasty and paired well with the drinks. We spent around two hours here studying and eating. They have lots of other pastry and drink options so I would love to be back to try more. Overall, a nice café in LA to grab a drink or some pastries. Definitely recommend checking it out as the parking is actually not too bad for Los Angeles.

Yelp
Plenty of outdoor seating and limited indoor seating for hangouts or study sessions. On weekdays, there are plenty of bread options readily available. Highly recommend trying the cream buns or the trendy desserts like the dubai choco bun as they are usually limited. Came here mainly for the matcha red bean loaf and black seasme latte, and was disappointed in the loaf as it tasted sour. The sweet red beans were very tasty and would recommend grabbing their azuki buns instead. The black seasme latte left a granular taste in my mouth as the seasme settled to the bottom of the drink. Would opt for the corn latte instead.

Yelp
5 stars only for their mango sandwich - Amazingly Delicious! I was going to take only 1 bite but ended up eating 1 half sando. My friend bought a bag full of other goodies but I didn't get to try them :-((( 1-star Scary area and drivers so I wouldn't come after dark, unless you're 'dying' for their Korean mango sando Lol.

Yelp
Coin de Rue Bakery is a charming spot with uniquely tasty pastries that really stand out from the usual. The presentation is beautiful--each pastry looks like a little work of art behind the display case. I tried their chimney bread pastry, and it was crispy and delicious with the whipped cream dip, with a texture and flavor that make it worth the visit alone. Everything tasted fresh, and you can tell there's real care in the baking. A few select pastries can be a miss but overall, a delightful bakery with creative treats and eye-catching presentation--definitely worth stopping by for something a little different!

Yelp
I love their pastries! It's fresh and the bread is very delicious. I ordered the Korean famous spiral bread in Cheesy Jalapeño and boy it's so tasty! The dough is chewy and milky, the cheese and jalapeño tasted so good! Aside from these we ordered the flattened dubai chocolate croissant which is my favorite! I enjoyed munching this pastry! I love their unique creations and will definitely come back!

Yelp
Corn Lattes, flat croissants and money cakes. WTF! Bro i got mad ?'s. So lemme set the scene: 430pm on a Saturday I'm having a sweet attack craving. I wanted I sweet but not American diabetes sweet. So doomed scrolled "desserts near me" on google until i spotted this place. Now usually ioooon do places that gotta yelp/google rating less than 4.5 cuz a bih got standards. But a bih was also maaaad desperate during this sweets fit -shrug- I slide up through the SUPER sketch plaza and stroll inside. itssssss a Cute lil bakery. Big "mom and pop holding it down" energy. #Respect So like i said i came in cuz I wanted gentle sweet. Respectful sweet. but the selection was vast Money cakes. Sammiches. Rolls. Buns. Tarts. Yogurts. Korean juice drinks. i got overwhelmed af & blacked out just bought hella random sh@t. Completely missed ALL the signage and laminated posters promoting the thing they're most famous for: their flat croissant. Its exactly wtf it sounds like too. I aint see then until i was finna leave and by then i was already $20 in yhe hole on randomness so i said f@ck it Annnnnywhooo... I digress... What i did spot was another famous item. A Chimney roll? Idkwtf that was either but gaawwwwd i wanted it. I tried but ... the Good lord sought to forsake me as it Twas Sold out. Thats when i got reckless & started YOLO'ing sh@t. The Momma and Poppa of this operation were there. Papa was in the back folding boxes like a champ -- for these money cakes, I think.... maybe. The money cakes... how do i describe??? they are the classiest ghetto chic 100 dollar bill decorated cakes Ive ever seen and also the only. I wanted one cuz.... its a f@ckin money cake!!!! TF!!?? Anywho... Momma was at the counter, ready to help me. But also watching me spiral. She threw in a free custard pie, probably out of pity. She also talked into a corn latte, which sounded like a war crime but I was curious. Sip one: regret. Sip two: betrayal. Stirred it like a psychopath and suddenly it slapped. Then a kernel shot up my straw. And thats when it really hit me. "Bih we out here DRINKING CORN" Time to question reality, y'all cuz, like, truly, wtf? If ida had time and wasnt tryna rush back to eternal loneliness on the couch and anime on my laptop... ida chilled on they lil mediocre patio. Not like i was pressed to get back to a meter. Parking was dumb easy for L.A. A lot & deceptively convenient parking garage. What I got: King Madeleine: muffin in cosplay. Shio Cod Roe: Momma messed up and gave me a Corn Shio. But of all the things I blackout bought, it tastes the best. but even at that it was aiiiight. Oreo thing: stale-ish. Not mad. Custard pie: mom said "ummmkay." nothing more, nothing less. Felt that. Corn latte: vanilla latte with corn kernels no actual corn flavor which like why muster the courage to try it if its just gonna be a regular ass drink. might as well gimme OP corn and max that sh@t up. Overall... The selection is wild, And i always love when ingredients are listed with clear pricing so i dont have to ask a million questions or guess. and Momma & Poppa was cool. Everything I tried ... kinda mid, but the vibe? idk....I'm intrigued. I'm going back. Something in there is gonna blow my mind or kill me.... I can feel it. Baked goods 3/5 Atmosphere 3.5/5 Selection 4/5 Customer Service 4/5 (-1 for my wrong order)

Yelp
The tornado breads were delicious and have just the right amount of flavor. The flavors pop in your mouth. Yummy Just went back again for more tornado breads this week. Every time I go there, I discover something new. Definitely will make my way there again this month. The owner is so friendly and always let me try something new. Definitely five stars. Highly recommend this place to everyone.

Yelp
Another one of those overhyped bakeries from Tiktok :( Siru cupcake: 2/5. The lightness of the cream, freshness of the fruit, and yummy chocolate rum of the cake was good, but why was there SO MUCH CREAM? In fact, I would say that this was 85% cream and 15% fruit + cake. So sad how much potential this could've had. And at $12 too?? Dubai chocolate brownie: 0/5. Sorry, but this was the worst brownie of my life. Please just skip this. It was more of a dry bread with very minimal chocolate flavor. 2D dubai chocolate croissant: No rating because we returned this. After trying the dubai chocolate brownie, we did not want to try this! (Thanks for the amazing service from the team to let us return this!) 2D almond croissant: 4/5. This was the best thing we ordered, but I wish it was more crispy! Seemed to be slightly old, but flavor wise it was yummy with a generous amount of almonds. Matcha red bean mochi bread: 2.5/5. This was.... underwhelming. I was expecting some mochi (hence the name) and at least a bit of matcha flavor, but there was no mochi at all, no matcha flavor, and the red bean was a bit dry. It was a very standard piece of bread to me, nothing special. Service was very good. All the workers were so nice to explain how long to microwave the bread for and for letting us return the dubai chocolate brownie and the 2D dubai chocolate croissant. I've never returned food before in my life, but I was just so disappointed and sad that I felt like I had to :( Thank you to the team for understanding!

Yelp
"Coin de Rue" (French) .. translated .. "street corner" (English) This bakery produces breads and pastries with a blend of European and Asian influences. The point is that I find a lot of western recipes to be heavy and very sweet. The baked goods here are lighter in both taste and texture. Not to promote their competition, but JJ Bakery, 85°C Bakery Cafe and Cream Pan Bakery are good points of reference. That said, this bakery has creations that you will not find at the other brands mentioned. A couple of notes: If you are looking for a landmark, The Original El Cholo restaurant is across the street from the plaza in which this business is located. The plaza in which this bakery-cafe is located has its own on-site parking. There is no need to look for street parking.

Yelp
This place is an experience for non koreans.Tons of pastries to graize through Some unusual flavors with a clean spacious patio as well as several tables inside and a clean restroom Try the cronut a flat but tasty pastry
google avatar

Yelp
I randomly picked the corn pastries and some berry ones when I stopped by on a whim. I just had the corn one, it reminds me of a muffin, but firmer in texture and less sweet. Overall, pretty good.
google avatar

Nieke T.

Yelp
This place has a nice outdoor sitting. They have good variety of baked goods. Unfortunately, I have to agree with other reviewers.. The bread does not taste fresh. The tisyu bread, I was so excited when I saw it, but disappointed since the taste was just okay. The drinks were good and the service was okay. I won't be back.. competition is fierce. There are plenty other bakeries that have better bread.
google avatar

Misa O.

Yelp
Really solid pastries but not out of this world. I went home and air fried the sweet potato cream bread, and it made it taste sooo much better. I wish there was more sweet potato paste compared to the cream because it got super sweet, but from the name of it I should've expected. I'd like to try their other things, maybe a drink, to make a more accurate decision on whether or not I love this spot.

Yelp
Very awesome and trendy Korean bakery and cafe!! They have a wide selection of bread/pastries, and sandwiches. They also sell beautiful cakes and awesome coffee and smoothies! The service is super great here! Min was helping me out and he was very friendly and made my black sesame latte with a lot of attention and care! He needs a raise for how hard he works! The ambiance is really nice and chill in here and you can relax here and have a good time with family and friends. Thank you for the great experience! Will be back soon! Really recommend this place to everyone!

Yelp
We walked in here and saw all the beautifully baked items. They have both Korean and European pastries with some American goodies thrown in - Dubai chocolate, Dubai brownies. Dubai is still a hot theme! Each item is packaged well and merchandised nicely. However, it's a bit odd to me that there are no date stamps on any of them! The woman greeted us warmly. She was very helpful and even gave us a sample of the chewy chewy. Here's what we bought: Injulmi cream bun $3.75 - BUY THIS! Flattened croissant - can't remember $ - skip Brown sugar mochi toast $7 - skip Chewy chewy cookie (mango) $7 - skip We were disappointed with the toast bread. It wasn't bad but it wasn't good either. The woman suggested that we toast/heat it up. Just skip it. The chewy chewy reminded me of rice krispy treats without the rice krispy cereal. It just wasn't good. I think it might still be in the fridge, even 2 weeks later. Skip this too. The flattened croissant was just plain weird. I think we tossed after taking a few bites. Maybe it's better when it's covered in chocolate? Skip the plain one The injulmi cream bun was the only thing we really liked. The bun is okay but the injulmi powder and the cream was good. Service was great. Maybe we just ordered the wrong items?

Christine C.

Yelp
In the afternoon, I bought creamy bread in Injeolmi powder and ate it. That night, my husband suffered from abdominal pain and diarrhea. When I ate bread, I felt that the cream was not fresh because it was afternoon, but that night I had an upset stomach. I will never go to this bakery again.

Yelp
Went here yesterday for Father's Day cake I got three and was so excited and even got pastries from here!! The cake was amazing and soft and the pastries are always super yummy. When I got the cakes the young guy helped me and was so kind because I wasn't able to carry all by my self. Thank you!!! And the inside was so cute and nicely decorated. I don't mind the long drive from riverside to come here for special occasions :)
google avatar

Julie N.

Yelp
Tried the viral tissue bread that we saw on instagram Very cozy cafe Lots of pastries even more so than the other coin de rue bakery location which i think is because this is the original one where the owner still works Minus star because i wanted to try the salt bread but there was a fly in the case buzzing around the bread and it was not individually wrapped in plastic
google avatar

Trinny T.

Yelp
The bakery name sounds interesting that my friend thought it was a laundromat. We went at around 9pm but there were still many pastries left. The upstair area is huge with private rooms. People come to study here. The place is so nice. The staff is also so nice. They offered to store our order in the fridge so they stay cool. We ordered an injeolmi shaved ice but it wasn't good. The shaved ice tasted like ice without any milky flavor. This is the worst Korean shaved ice I have ever had and I have tried many places.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
There were so many pastries to choose from! I wasn't too impressed with the pastries that I tried, but they're not bad. The sweet potato soboro paste was very sweet and filling. I liked the Dubai brownie but I'll admit it was just like a regular light brownie. The chestnut latte was really good because it tasted and felt like there were actual chestnuts in the drink. It's on the sweeter side so be warned. There's underground parking for the plaza and they have free wifi in the cafe so you can work.
google avatar

Beth O.

Yelp
Food is excellent! The owner who also was the server, was super nice! I will come back here! You guys should also try it here. We ordered: - Clam Chowder Bread Bowl, Cranberry & Walnut Bread with Green Onions, Pesto & Cheese... superb! Yummy
google avatar

Malease T.

Yelp
The pastries and baked goods looked better than they tasted sadly. Everything was very dense and dry. The one we did enjoy was the garlic cheese corn bread, that had the most flavor.
google avatar

Melissa M.

Yelp
The food was amazing at this bakery. The service was really good and welcoming. The ambience was good and it smelled really good. I really liked the chocolate bar and the Dubai chocolate, 2-D croissant and the regular croissant and the tower bread.

Jillian L.

Yelp
Bakery floor, table and chairs not clean. Purchased brownie and UFO Cream Cheese pound cake very dry. Not worth the hype.
google avatar

Khaing Z W.

Yelp
Chestnut latte is very sweet and doesn't taste nutty. So not recommended. Special matcha latte is way too green for real authentic matcha and it formed paste on the bottom. So difficult to drink. Both Paste won't dissolve until I transfer the drink to a bottle and shake very hard Dubai 2D croissant is pretty good .
google avatar

Lydia C.

Yelp
Was genuinely excited for the goodies here, but ended up tossing everything after 1 bite/sip. Maybe I chose the wrong pastries and drink. They pride themselves on using ingredients from Hokkaido but it's really hard to believe. I want my $20 back.. matcha/red bean bread rice pastry? jujube & cinnamon tea
google avatar

Yelp
In my 4 years of college at UCLA, this is easily my number 1 choice for best study cafe. THEY HAVE FREE PARKING (1 hour street, and a small parking plaza) at least during the day when we went. Drinks are yummy and priced fair, like around $6. Bottom floor is a bakery that has delicious bread&cakes and they also sell korean quick foods. Got the dutch einspanner and vanilla cream cold brew, both amazing. Second floor is spacious with couches, long tables, smaller circular tables, low tables, high tables, and a couple of big booths for big groups to study. Lots of outlets as well with quick free wifi. Bathroom is nice and smells good and has this cool light that comes out of the sink. Music is soft piano versions of popular songs, beautiful vibe for studying and the place is very quiet. Perfect to lock in and get some grinding done, not too much for yapping/online meetings- you'd ruin the vibe. This place is a hidden gem and I will take this place 10 out of 10 times to study at.

Mihaela D.

Yelp
They have a great selection of pastries from savory to sweet .Good selection on drinks too .At the time we got there they didn't have all the things that we want to try ( come after 10:30 am ) but we will try again at a different time .Service was great .The place is very cute inside .It's not hard to find the place .
google avatar

Annie T.

Yelp
Very disappointing experience. My friend and I took a bite of each of the warm pastries and threw them all away. The breads were dense, dry, and stale. Each of them lacks a lot of flavor. And even when the cream cheese ones, that's all you can taste But was also very greasy. Definitely not fresh and I don't know how long it's been there and reheated and even so, I don't think it'll taste very good even when fresh compared to many other bakeries in LA. For the cold, I got a sesame cream bun and the bread was really dry dense and slate as well. The sesame cream was really dense and dry and lacked flavor. For drink, we got ginger tea and it was way too sweet and unpalatable. :(
google avatar

Claudia H.

Yelp
I got the korean salt bread and tuna sandwich. The salt bread was good, but standard. Just good! I do have other places that make salt bread that I prefer than here. The tuna sandwich was way too mayo-y. Note - no toilets, parking lot is small as with most places in LA

Yelp
A little FYI. It's bit confusing since there are two places in ktown with the same name - but completely different (owners and also items sold). The pictures featured for the two floor study area is the other place. This one though does have a very impressive line of bakery goods (more unique than most ktown bakeries) you can find a range of breads, sandwiches (they even sold the infamous "idol sandwich), "2d" croissants, and trendy dubai chocolate items. There is still space if you want to do work. I did work outside and it wasn't that bad. They have free parking located in a garage basement for 2 hrs. The entrance to turn may be a little difficult and tight

Yelp
I tried the strawberry matcha and cheese jalapeño chimney bread. I am in love with the hollowed out bread style. You literally get to eat the best part! The lady that took my order was kind and hospitable. Definitely going back to try their cakes.

Yelp
Really yummy cakes! You can always call ahead and ask what cakes they have available for the day and pick one up for someone's special birthday! They have a strawberry cakes that's super delicious and not very sweet. The service is always good, everyone was nice. I will definitely come back again for pastry's and more!

Yelp
Absolutely loved my visit to Coin de Bakery in Koreatown! This charming spot perfectly blends Asian-inspired flavors with classic French pastries--and the results are incredible. The black sesame latte and chestnut latte are must-tries--rich, unique, and so comforting. Every pastry I tried had just the right balance of creativity and tradition. The service was warm and welcoming, and you can really feel the love and care the family owners put into everything they do. Highly recommend this gem--it's a beautiful experience from start to finish! The ambience is really cute with a beautiful outdoor garden.

Yelp
I'm so happy I came across this bakery via Yelp, or else I would have never known!! There are so many unique Japanese pastries, and they had the cutest cakes on display. I ordered a bunch of pastries, but my favorites were the hot dog buns, the potato + sweet potato mochi bun, and corn cheese bun! We purchased a rainbow cake for my nephews birthday, and it was perfectly not too sweet! I would compare it to a light cream cake with not too much frosting.

Yelp
Their bread and pastries get sold quickly. I recommend to go here early so you can have more options. The bread and coffee I bought tastes really good and the bread was really soft. Service was quick and overall a very nice bakery and cafe. Hopefully I get to try their famous dessert with fruits if I get there early enough.

Yelp
Korean bakery offering an impressive selection of individually wrapped sweet and savory breads, pastries, cakes, sandwiches, and more. They also make whole cakes, have an espresso bar with Korean teas and specialty drinks, and bingsu. Despite being located on a loud, busy street (Western), the cafe feels like a peaceful escape. I loved the soft, fluffy Corn Bun, whose milk bread base was filled with silky creamy cheese and topped with grilled corn. The Sweet Potato Bonne Pie had delicate, flakey pie-like layers, enrobing rich purple sweet potato puree. The Anko Butter Saboro was better than the sum of its parts: red bean paste, a thick pat of butter, and sugar encrusted bread. Every item was delicious. I also enjoyed their Sweet Potato Latte, which was rich in purple sweet potato flavor, and not overly sweet. The elderly woman working was lovely, especially when I spoke to her in Korean. This place is an absolute gem.

Yelp
I would have given them a 5 star rating just for the variety of baked goods that they had available. Unfortunately I didn't really care for their sesame latte which I was told was their most populace drink. Maybe it was just off that day? One of the added plus was their free underground parking and available seating which included some outdoor seating. I would go back just for their baked goods and try some of their other drinks.

Yelp
Okay, a few things to speak up about here. On instagram, people post videos and rave about their mochi bread. They had 3 types when I went this weekend, brown sugar, mochi mochi, and red bean matcha mochi. Unfortunately, to my dismay, this bread does not contain any mochi whatsoever. The texture is light and fluffy, but nothing about it is mochi-like even in consistency. Don't buy the mochi bread thinking that it will have mochi, it most likely will not. The bread is fine, but just normal bread. The tissue bread is also more of a croissant cube and not so much a dramatic, truly peel-able tissue bread. The service however, is impeccable. The woman behind the counter was very kind and offered tips on how to reheat the bread, which I appreciate. Bakery itself is cute, and there's a parking lot that makes it more convenient as well. They also have an interesting variety of bread, but all in all, it's cute, but not anything truly noteworthy as people rave it is online.

Yelp
The display case showcases an array of exquisite treats, from fluffy pandan cake and custard-filled buns to colorful mochi and delicate almond cookies, each crafted with meticulous care. The friendly staff, always ready with a warm smile, make every visit feel personal, offering recommendations and engaging in lighthearted conversation. With its mouthwatering pastries and comforting vibe, the bakery is a sweet haven for anyone seeking a little joy in their day. I am a sucker for cute sweets and this was the perfect place.

Yelp
Coin De Rue Bakery & Cafe is a modern, charming Japanese Bakery in K-Town offering a wide variety of delicious breads, pastries, desserts and drinks. They also have a selection of savory items like sandwiches and salads. The ambiance is like stepping into a minimalist dreamscape - Chic, uncluttered and Instagram-able. I got to try the Black Sesame Cream Bun and the Red Bean Mochi which came in a 3-Pack. Let's talk: BLACK SESAME CREAM BUN: Dark, mysterious, and bursting with sesame goodness, the Black Sesame Cream Bun has a black sesame coated exterior and a dual piping of velvety whipped cream and black sesame filling within. RED BEAN MOCHI: Pillowy soft, chewy perfection. Get them! I was definitely tempted to get their Black Sesame iced latte but it would have been my second one in less than an hour! I'll be dreaming of that, along with the Sweet Potato Bun and the Egg Salad Sando until next visit! You can definitely tell that freshness and quality are a priority here. Service was on point, prices are very reasonable, and there's plenty of parking and outdoor seating! Highly recommend!

Yelp
I really want to like this place but I guess my drink is just disappointing. I got the sweet potato latte as promoted as their signature and seasonal drink. The picture shows a swirling-marble yellowish latte but when I received it was more of an ube latte (I'm guessing because the drink is purple), but I take it anyway because I love ube. Now, by every measurement, I'm a really easy going customer because I don't really know the differences between any kind of drink, so if your drink is OK or mid, I'd still come back; but this latte is just really really bland. It doesn't taste like anything, not even milk, or coffee, or powdered ube; none of the ingredients in my drink taste like anything. The ube powder is also not dissolved completely in my drink so it's kinda grainy. I haven't tried any of their pastry, but it looks yummy and lots of them are incorporated or Dubai chocolate inspired. The cashier lady is also the one who makes my drink, she seems sweet and very nice. The parking is small but they have a garage underground. Inside is also very small, but I think it's cozy. The drink is only $5 and the price on menu is already taxed, which I think is convenient and cheap compared to other cafes, but I don't think I want to come back.

Yelp
Wow. I don't know how this place has such good ratings... did the ownership change? Did we come on a bad day? We ordered tissue bread, strawberry mochi bread, garlic cream cheese bread, 2D croissant, cream bread, & some chocolate bun. The tissue bread was dry and doesn't pull apart like it's supposed to. Tasted like a cross between white bread and a dry croissant. Strawberry mochi bread just tastes like white bread and barely any strawberry flavor. I liked the light texture of it though. Garlic cream cheese... the bread was hard and crunchy like it was over toasted? And cream cheese was sweet. 2d croissant would've been way better if it had a sugar glaze. Thought the cream bread would be better since it's a classic Korean pastry. Was wrong. Our hot matcha latte was so gritty. The wild berry matcha latte tasted like bad matcha with jam.
