The Best Restaurants in Lexington, Kentucky | Eater Nashville

"Guests can expect to find bread baked fresh daily, veggies from local purveyors, and meats cured-in house at Coles 735 Main. Set in a restored historic landmark building, the restaurant is the brainchild of award-winning chef Cole Arimes. Try the warm Brussels and house bacon salad, followed by the filet mignon, which is served with roasted red pepper, tater tot-style Weisenberger grits, and house made compound butter. For dessert, the Woodford Reserve Creme Brulee is a particular crowd favorite." - Lennie Omalza

Absolutely fantastic. The Cajun honey shrimp and pork flautas were delicious. The beef shoulder tender was cooked perfectly, and the crab hollandaise and mashed potatoes perfectly complimented its flavor. The desserts really took the experience to another level, making the meal well worth the price.

My girlfriend and I dined at Coles 735 Main on Friday, 7/18/2025 around 5:30 PM and we stayed for 3 hours enjoying everything this 5-star restaurant had to offer. We started with the brie appetizer (awesome with the great bread "sticks"), we both had filets with mac and cheese and Brussels sprouts. We finished with butterscotch cookies al a mode. My girlfriend had cocktails, which she loved, but I stayed with bourbon neat! Our server was Kenzie T and she could not have been better. Our water glasses stayed full and she came around just the right amount of time; she made great recommendations!!! The night could not have been better; we sat outside and the rain on the tent (no wind) added to great ambience!! Can't wait to go back and have the scallops!!!

Was excited to finally try this restaurant as it has been on my list for a while. Lobster bisque was great. Pork flautas a bit smaller than expected. I was most excited for the duck which was good. I wish there was music playing as the restaurant was almost empty and with the few tables seated we could hear each other’s conversations easily. Our server was knowledgeable about the specials and dishes served which was very helpful. The check was given the same time the dessert arrived to the table and we saw more of the server during that time than the whole service. That made the experience feel rushed and a bit uncomfortable.

Google
The spanakopita was delicious. My fish had a very mild flavor and didn’t really taste like fish. Strong drinks & sweet server. Fun to try but don’t think I’ll be back since the quality just wasn’t worth the price.

Google
Overall, I really like this restaurant. The filet we ordered last night was phenomenal! The waitress was quite good. The only downside was that it was too hot outside under the cover. I can’t really blame the restaurant for that, but having at least one of those huge fans somewhere would definitely help. In this kind of heat, if you're serving outdoors, it’s important to prioritize comfort as well. But overall, the experience was good.

Google
Our favorite restaurant in Lexington!! The atmosphere is beautiful, the service is incredible, all of the staff are SO attentive, and the food is out of this world good!!! Truly the best spot in Lexington for dinner. The black pepper biscuits are amazing and the beef shoulder tender is my favorite. We’ve never had anything here (app, cocktail, entree, etc) we didn’t like! Cannot say enough good things about the food here-it is all fresh and delicious.

Google
We went here for the first time for an anniversary dinner and left disappointed. Pros: Cocktails were fine (a little underwhelming, but decent). Our waiter was excellent. Cons: We're both vegetarians and we were excited about the options on the menu, but the food was bland and not very inventive. We could have gotten a better meal at any moderately priced restaurant in Lexington. Also, we had to wait over an hour for our food. With the prices being so high, we have no reason to want to go back.

Google
Overall experience was very positive at Coles. The food was good and service was excellent. Fried avocados was something I have never had before. Crab meat and fried avocados went well together but the sauce made it even better. Duck confit was delicious. The potato was very cool with crispy texture outside and moist inside. Also something I haven’t seen before. Apparently, the chef saw it on TikTok and decided to added it as part of the dish (heard from the server) which was just extra layer of how the dish got put together. It was kinda funny to me. The duck was slightly under salted. I think it would have been even better with some salt. Server was amazing. Very friendly and helpful with menu. He know exactly what menu had common allergies ingredients. Not only the server but people who worked there had smiles on their face and was very friendly.

Yelp
Amazing and delicious food, great service (ask for Yolanda)! We had a family dinner, everyone tried everything on the menu. Cod fish entree was divine, filet perfectly seasoned and cooked. Duck and 15 hour potatoes were a big hit. Pork Flautas - also amazing. and they accommodated a schedule change, plus our multiple credit cards thrown onto a pile. Please visit Cole's the next time you're in for the races...or a whatever meal. Perfection!

Yelp
I'd rate this restaurant 3.5 stars if Yelp gave half stars. We arrived early for dinner sans reservation, and they graciously accommodated us. We'd been driving all day, so weren't really looking for the full multi course dining experience with cocktails and wine, just a quick meal, so we both ordered a main dish and skipped the drinks. The menu has a lot of choices, and our server, John, expertly recited the specials to us. Some of it read and sounded good, and some of it seemed like maybe too many ingredients. I was intrigued by the Impossible meatloaf, and my husband went for the duck confit. The meatloaf is a huge portion, served with smashed baby purple and white potatoes, mushrooms and asparagus, all topped with a mushroom gravy. The chef/cooks definitely have some skill, as the mushroom gravy and dainty shaved fresh asparagus were very nice. The purple potatoes were cooked through, but the white ones were not, and that always bothers me. I don't want al dente potatoes, and, while they didn't ruin the dish, they were not good. The vegan meatloaf was good, but not "order it again" good. My husband had issues with his food too, most importantly the crispy 15 hour potatoes, which simply looked burnt to me. He found them inedible. Service was excellent, from the friendly welcome at the host stand to our wonderful waiter. This is a lovely restaurant, with lots of charm and local details. The wall length banquet is comfortable seating, but I think it's time to replace some of the pillows they have lining it. Homey and worn in is one thing, but some of these are falling apart and look like they were rescued from some sofa waiting for the trash heap on the sidewalk. I will try this restaurant again and sample more of the menu.

Yelp
Splitting the Brussel Sprouts and bacon salad was an excellent start Had a lovely steak dinner. The bourbon sauce on the strip steak special and wagyu butter was insanely delicious. The grits tater tots added bit of whimsy. Drinks were boozy Service struggled a bit but apologized and gave us a free beer.

Yelp
We've eaten at quite a few local establishments and have come away disappointed. Tonight was NOT the case! If I could rate Coles 735 Main, I would give them a seven star rating! The food was delectable and very flavorful! Our service was fantastic and the atmosphere was very warm and cozy! If you're looking for a spot to enjoy a quiet, romantic experience, look no further! I highly recommend Coles!

Yelp
I cannot recommend this place enough, every thing was amazing from the moment you walk through the door. This was my first time so I wasn't sure what I what I wanted but our waiter was so good and she explained everything so well and really sold us on the specialty drinks. We sat inside and loved the feel of the restaurant the decor felt homey, and welcoming. I had the bone in pork chop it was absolutely amazing! I truly love this place and will be back again.

Brandon H.

Yelp
This is the BEST place for a steak! Service is amazing. Ambiance is great too! Line up a steak against your favorite steak place and I guarantee Cole's is way better! And yes I've had them all in town.

Yelp
What a little wonder in Lagrange! I met a friend in a Friday for lunch and was surprised it wasn't busier. From fried green tomatoes to start, to chicken salad sandwich and a fried fish sandwich- all was wonderful! They recommend def the pretzel pie (I love sweet and salty). It thought it was overly sweet and not salty enough. Also for the price $8, the slice was very small. But overall, food was delish and the server was stellar. We will be back!

Yelp
Really, really, REALLY good food and fantastic service. Great choice for special occasions.

Yelp
AMAZING dinner experience! Our waiter Tristan was awesome. This was our first time in Kentucky and one of two dinner restaurants we went out to. HIGHLY Recommend! The freight, avocado, and pork flautas were SO GOOD. we also had the beef shoulder and pork chop special, these folks have a VERY talented kitchen! The Woodford Reserve Creme brûlée and pecan cookies were simply MAGICAL! We seriously can't wait to come back and visit Lexington and come back to this special place. The wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and they made it a special evening. Thank you!

Traci O.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious great service always a pleasure to eat here ! The people here are so welcoming. Great job !5 stars Filet is spectacular!

Yelp
The ambiance here was perfect. Quaint, perfectly lit, a fireplace, not too loud or quiet. It was a great environment for a nice romantic dinner. The food was fantastic. We got the shrimp tempura appetizer, honey Cajun glazed shrimp appetizer, the beef shoulder tender entree and chicken saltimbocca entree. All the food was cooked perfect, I was surprised to be asked what temperature I wanted my beef, I've never been able to have that level of specificity and let me tell you, it was great. The cocktails were tasty and did the job, but the bread basket was to die for, and I loved the variety of it. Our server was very nice, professional, and had the very large seasonal/special menu memorized, which was impressive. They did everything in their power to ensure we had a top tier dining experience, we will definitely be coming back.

One of my favorite places to dine in Lexington. The atmosphere is fantastic & the service/staff are friendly & pleasant! The food is phenomenal & I encourage you to come try out their food!

Fat Man Reviews K.

Yelp
On our way to a concert, the Fat Man stopped at Coles 735 Main in Lexington, KY. Coles is an eclectic, locally sourced New American cuisine served in a circa-1938 restaurant space. @coles735main We both decided on the same drink, the Black-eyed Buffalo. This libation is made with Buffalo Trace, Gifford Mure blackberry liqueur, Domaine Canton, ginger liqueur and lemon. It is Bourbon up front but is mellowed by the blackberry, ginger, and lemon finish the drink. It has a good balance, but the ginger liqueur gives it a slightly watery taste. We started with the Pork Tostadas, which come with braised pork, corn tortillas, toasted poblano sour cream, iceberg lettuce, pickled red onion, cotija cheese, and cilantro. The tortilla is very crunchy; the pork is juicy, tender, and flavorful with some slight heat. A squeeze of lime gives it a nice fresh bite. The lettuce cuts through the heat, the pickled red onion adds a vinegar bite with texture, and the cheese adds a saltiness. I tried the special of the day; Pastrami Braised Short Ribs. This is prepared with house-made kimchi, wasabi-washed mashed potatoes, mustard demi-glace, and charred Broccolini. The short ribs are heavily pepper crusted with good flavor and smoke; some bites are dry, while others are very juicy. The Broccolini is crunchy and seasoned well, the potatoes are very smooth, but I do not get the wasabi flavor, and the kimchi is very acidic and salty with a decent heat. It is powerful but fits well with the short ribs. The mustard reduction has a good flavor, but I wanted more mustard pop with a larger serving. My fiancé tried the center cut Filet Mignon, red pepper roasted Weisenberger grits, and house-made compound butter. The grits are presented tater tot style, flavorful with a slight crunch and velvety smooth on the inside and a touch of heat; the butter adds a lovely silkiness to the steak, but the steak was so tender it was the very definition of melt-in-your-mouth.. Coles offers a handcrafted menu with several starters, salads, and entrées. I recommend a reservation. The service was not bad. The Fat Man says Coles 735 Main is Fat Man Approved with 2 chins.

Yelp
Best steak, and boutique food, in Lexington. We eat here every time we are in town. The fillet (Oscar style) never disappoints.

Lisa B.

Yelp
We had a large party and Yolanda (& many others) took great care of us. Food was delicious. Cole and Megan came out to greet us. They all made for an unforgettable night!

Yelp
Cole's is a Go To spot in Lexington. Food, service and ambiance are all top drawer!! A must.

Chris R.

Yelp
My wife and I had an early dinner here last night. We've frequently tried to go but couldn't get a reservation. We got there at 5:30 and the place steadily filled up. For good reason... it's delicious! She got the fillet, I got the duck breast. We cleaned our plates! The fillet was served with grits pressed and fried into cubes. The duck with sweet potatoes pressed and fried into Jenga-like bricks. Each made the presentation really nice and added a layer of crispiness that doesn't typically apply to grits or sweet potatoes. Both proteins were perfectly prepared, juicy and flavorful. Good cocktail and wine list, as well. Our server, Levi, was on point. We look forward to return visits.

Yelp
We were in town for races & made reservations in advance as one of hottest spots in Lexington to dine at. It did not disappoint...as lived up to all the hype ! The staff was very attentive. Food was delicious from bread / spanakolpita for appetizer....filet was tender sessoned perfectly & my friend raved about the pasta primavera....she loved her old fashion with rye burbon. I highly reccommend mac & cheese .... Unfortunately, my cell was dead & unable to take pix but will for sure next time . Highly reccommend dining here for birthday..anniversary or just a date nite.

Abby P.

Yelp
Main server was very good. However, when we were barely finished with our main entrees TWO people ascended to our table to clear the plates.... Rather aggressively. It left our entire table at a loss for words. Some of use were not finished. We were not dining for a long period of time. When we were asked if we wanted dessert we replied no, as dessert seemed more appealing having Butter cake at Jeff Rubies than staying around l. But the best was when the bill came and we were OVERCHARGED on our credit card $100 more than our meal. Again our main server was very apologetic and reversed the charges. But it left us all questioning what was the deal with the rest of the staff. Not sure about the entire experience. Food was average, main server was good, but the rest of our encounter with staff and the issue with the bill would deter us from dining in the future.

Yelp
What an amazing restaurant find! It's so cute inside with such personality. The staff were able to get us a last minute reservation in the bar area. Our server/bartender was absolutely amazing! I wish I remembered her name but she had a cool heart tattoo on her chest. She recommended an off the menu drink which was fabulous! And gave us the daily specials. The food was so flavorful! Every bite of something had amazing flavors. I can't wait to go back and try the other dishes.

Yelp
I had heard good things about this restaurant for quite some time. We decided to go to celebrate my birthday. We were seated at a cute little table in a private nook. We had the panko encrusted fried avocado appetizer. The avacado was delicious as was the lump crab salad on each half. Our waitress, Hannah, was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menu. She was attentive but never hovered. She and the other wait staff made sure our glasses were never empty. I did limit myself to one Wheatley dirty martini . It was wonderful (3 olives and a lemon twist ). My husband and I shared a grilled Caesar salad and enjoyed it very much. The grilling process added depth of flavor. For entrees we had the blackened pompano fish that came on a bed of roasted vegetables ( including Brussels sprouts and daikon radish ) and the beef shoulder tender on mashed potatoes with blistered cherry tomatoes. Both were very good. The bread basket we sampled was also above average in deliciousness. Our favorite was the black pepper biscuits. They were tender and flaky with the perfect amount of pepper. To top off a wonderful meal we had butterscotch cookies as well as the chocolate chip. A big thank you to Hannah for the recommendation! So glad we came to Coles!! Very enjoyable dinner!!

Yelp
Fantastic food and warm cozy atmosphere!! Really enjoyed our experience here and the staff was phenomenal!

Yelp
My first experience at Cole's exceeded my expectation between the service and the quality of food. Our server, Austin, was very knowledgeable about the menu and recommended us the delicious Baked Brie appetizer. He was very attentive to make sure we were taking care of during our dinner. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection, topped with flavorful housemaid butter. To top the night off, I would highly suggest the brownie dessert. It's not your basic brownie, they use a very light peanut butter ice cream and top it with candied pecans, it's to die for! Thank you Cole 735 for your hospitality and amazing food!

Yelp
I can't believe I've not reviewed here yet, I've been here 3 times and every single time is 5/5 for me. They really just get it, your greeted at the door within smiling faces that get you seated immediately. The staff is always super friendly and attentive, they have the right balance of checking in on me and chatting with me just enough that I get to know them and the place but also get to enjoy and be with my guests. The food well is nothing short of amazing. I couldn't find all the food from when I've been but I have posted pictures from my last trip for restaurant week. I choose steak every time I come here as my entree just about and they've always been flavorful and cooked perfectly. I would put theirs up against any others in Lexington. The restaurant week filet was in a bourbon creme and if I was home I may have licked the plate clean because it was the perfect flavor with the compound butter and rub on the steak. They nailed the seasoning and the cook was exactly how I expected medium rare. It was just all amazing. I need to remember this place more often!
google avatar

Sarah S.

Yelp
Came here with friends during my stay in KY. We sat out under their large tent. Started with a Kentucky Vesper cocktail which was delicious. They have us a bread bowl with mini cracked pepper biscuits, rolls, and butter. Very tasty! Thought the biscuits were a nice touch. They were a great texture with a slight crunch on the outside but fluffy on the inside. I have to say what blew me away was the scallop entree! Three massive scallops over some coconut rice, grilled spring onions and yuzu miso sauce. Delicious!!! My friends enjoyed their duck apricot meatballs and French dip. A great local restaurant in Lexington with amazing food. Staff was friendly and patient with our questions. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place is awesome! The food, from apps, entries, sides, and deserts are fantastic. Our party of 4 didn't have one complaint weather it was service, cocktails, wine recommendations, or food. Everyone was extremely pleased. Levi was an awesome server too. Can't wait to go back.

Yelp
Have been here several times... never disappoints, if it's a weekday, weekend, from server to different server it's always superb! Incredible food dishes, great service, and of course a lovely atmosphere.

Yelp
So wanted to update. Went for a dinner and things are much better now! Food was great! Service was better than before but I recommend it now!

Yelp
Went for my birthday recently. The service was great. The specials were creative and the general menu looked good. We had a couple awesome bottles of wine and left fat and happy.
google avatar

Yelp
We absolutely loved our dinner here!!! The ambience is fantastic, from the cute quirky decor and lively atmosphere. The food was to die for an so vegan friendly! Drinks were amazing-mine was a mezcal margarita and I crave it-and very generously sized. We loved the shishito pepper appetizer special and the vegan "crab cakes." The vegan meatloaf was awesome too!! Wish we could have come back every night of our trip!

Mary Alice B.

Yelp
Amazing meal and service. You MUST try the butterscotch pecan cookies. Life changing!

Yelp
I visited Coles for dinner with a friend and we both very much enjoyed the experience :-) We were hungry and in no particular hurry, so we shared everything family style.  We got three different mains (the Bone in Filet, the Scottish Salmon, and the Sautéed Duck Breast).  While all three selections were good, the Sautéed Duck Breast was unquestionably the star of the show - it was nothing short of exceptional! The service was good, though our waiter was a bit too aloof for our taste. The prices at Coles are on the high side; but the quality of the food made it worth the expense.

David M.

Yelp
Amazing food, great ambience, and friendly service. I would definitely recommend it. We can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We recently had a date night and went here for dinner. As we pulled up the outside reminded me a bit of a casual seafood diner I went to when I was a kid. So I was concerned to say the least. Walk through the doors and I immediately changed my mind. It was a very intimate setting nicely appointed and elegant. We were sat immediately and after a few minutes were greeted by our waitress. We ordered drinks and went about the evening. Drinks were ok. The Lexington was ok and packed a punch. For dinner I had the fish with risotto and it was phenomenal. The fish was well prepared and the risotto might have been one of my favorites of all time. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of a bourbon selection but they do have a large selection of wines. Definitely stop here for date night or just because you want a great evening. Don't let the outside keep you from trying this fantastic gem.

Katie A.

Yelp
This dish was AMAZING. The tomato risotto, balsamic, and chicken combination was the absolute best. This is no ordinary dish and I will definitely be having this again.

Yelp
My husband and I have had Cole's on our list to try for a while and finally made it over for dinner this past weekend! Cole's is located where Richmond turns into Main, in between chevy chase area and downtown. I definitely recommend making a reservation! Ours was for 7:15 on a Friday and it was a full house. The decor is kind of equine/french countryside; which makes it a very cozy atmosphere- perfect for a date night. Our server was Andrea and she knew the menu inside and out. All the specials sounded really appetizing, so we started with the sweet potato cakes which were delicious! For our mains Mike had the filet with weisenberger grits and a side of mac-n-cheese. I was impressed with all the veggie options! I chose the grilled pear salad and the marinated cauliflower steaks- both of which I really enjoyed. The dishes here are all very inventive and feature creative flavor combinations. The service was terrific as well! Andrea came to check on us frequently, as well as other staff members to make sure we were having a great dinner. Dining at Cole's is pricey, but I would absolutely suggest dining here for a special dinner out!

Chuck G.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants I have ever eaten in. Fish perfectly cooked, wine at proper the temperature. Great service and wonderful atmosphere. Highly highly recommend.

Aimee A.

Yelp
AMAZING FOOD AND AND AMAZING SERVICE!! We have a young daughter with severe food allergies, Cole and his staff went above and beyond to assure us that her food would be safe! Not only was the food safe, it was so delicious. What a fantastic experience, we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Oh my goodness. I've driven by this place MULTIPLE times and keep thinking I need to go. The end of Restaurant Week is as good of an excuse as any, right?! Parking: their lot fills up quickly, but there is street parking and they do have signs posted that you can park in the school board lot after dark. Walk in and enjoy this lovely decor (farmhouse rustic?). Turn and go to the bar if you're waiting on people - thank me later once you've had the Basil Jane or Green Velvet for something herbaceous or the Black Eyed Baker for a bourbon cocktail. Food wise - I got the chicken and warm brussels with bacon salad. That bacon salad was delicious, chicken was juicy, and the ambiance is wonderful. The dessert (assorted sweets) are dangerous. I'll be back for those black pepper biscuits!

Melissa W.

Yelp
It's okay. People we very nice and the food was delicious. The setting is not the easiest for handicap or low mobility people so just plan ahead.

Tammara E.

Yelp
Loved everything about this restaurant! The rolls, the fried avacado, we were a table of 8 and not a disappointing meal among the group!
google avatar

Samuel S.

Yelp
Stuffy, overpriced and full of local lexington "elites". If you enjoy subpar food with a high price tag, go for it

Shim L.

Yelp
A delightful dinner and superb dining treat. From the ambience upon entering Coles to the final spoonful of dessert nothing left to chance. Gnocchi appetizer, tomato bisque, and a basket of fresh baked bread, all excellent. A real dining treat. Thank you!
google avatar

Margaret H.

Yelp
Another place I have been to a handful of times simply because it is so good!! I am giving Coles 5 stars because their flavors are unique and I had the best bottle of Pinot I've had in a while here. To start we ordered a special mushroom bruschetta appetizer, who would have thought mushroom bruschetta?? Not sure. However, it was amazinggg and I wish it was a permanent menu item. We also ordered the baked Brie, which is a personal favorite. Once again very good. I ordered the salmon for dinner and was very happy with it. The Brussels sprouts were heavenly and the butternut squash purée was divine and tied all of the flavors together nicely. If you like salmon, you can't go wrong ordering this. My mom had the scallop special which was also very good (and should also become a permanent menu item). All in all, the staff was extremely helpful and appreciative of our business, and once again Coles checked all the boxes in that of a nice dining experience. Another spot where if you haven't been yet, get there now. Keep supporting local restaurants!!

Lydia S.

Yelp
I had a great experience for my first time at Cole's 735 Main without much prior knowledge of the restaurant. For starters, the atmosphere was classy while still being comfortable with a strong southern feel. We were first served complimentary bread which is made fresh in house and had a nice sweetness to it. I shared the New York Strip with asparagus and mac and cheese on the side. The steak was perfectly tender with a nice crust and tons of flavor. The asparagus was good but the mac and cheese was the other star of the show. The crust on the top was very impressive and the inside was very creamy. We had great service and an all around good first experience!

Yelp
New Years Eve with my beloved. Panko crusted shrimp appetizer, grilled caesar salad, an 8oz. filet mignon with a mushroom sauce of some kind and a freshly made butterscotch pecan cookie with ice cream. Perfect food, perfect service.
google avatar

Tiffany B.

Yelp
If you have one meal in Lexington, make it here!! OMG- we loved our meal here! Started with the special watermelon gazpacho, then split the special Heirloom tomato salad and I had the cauliflower steak enteee and we shared the chocolate torte w/ bourbon gelato. I was stuffed to the gills but two weeks later still happily day dreaming about that fab meal. During covid, they had a lot of additional outdoor seating. Had to go in front door, get temperature taken from forehead gun and then back outside to seating. A thoroughly enjoyable and memorable meal!

Rodolfo R.

Yelp
Took my wife on a date night and decided to finally try this hidden gem of a restaurant, and we were not disappointed. The food was incredible. The only complaint I would have is since we made a reservation we were expecting to get our food a little quicker than what it took. Nonetheless it is still a 5/5 restaurant.
google avatar

Jasmine P.

Yelp
Went to an early-ish dinner with a friend (5:00ish) and we thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and our meal. We sat on the heated patio, which is often hit or miss, and this one is def a hit! Service was excellent and the food was delicious. From appetizers to desert we had zero complaints. My fave part was the drink we ordered, a white wine sangria with a berry popsicle. Must try: Baked Brie Encroute

Yelp
Very cute decor, seven seat bar, clean bathrooms, easy to find, friendly staff, ok food. Diane, our server & manager Chris were great. Panko Crusted Avocado was slightly mushy & the crab was missing something. Smoked Salmon app needed that side of mustard that it comes with & a side of lemon. NY Strip was cooked to perfection, but very very salty. Grit Cubes, I could've eat a dozen. The Brussels Sprouts were hard, lacked seasoning, needed pancetta. We got two tiny pieces. The other side was potato au gratin cake. It could've flown right off of our table how hard I was trying to slice thru the hard bottom so we ate the top. Drinks were made absolutely perfect. Very happy that they buy all their meat, grits & veggies from local farms. Total plus! Comparing Coles to other family owned smaller restaurants in Georgetown & surrounding areas, I can only give them a three. Five for ambience & staff.
