Truly had the most incredible experience tonight with my fiancè! We visited Sicily 2 years ago where we constantly dream of the food and atmosphere, and let me just tell you…. This place comes pretty dang close!!!! The best meatballs, Pasta Alla Norma, Veal Cutlet, etc.. I was in awe! Everything tasted super fresh and just absolutely delicious. Please go ASAP!!!!

The staff and owners were so kind and personable! My friend and I went to Concrete Sicily on Valentine’s Day. Everything we had was delicious. I recommend going here. The staff were also very patient and gave us information about what they recommend and what each dish has! I’d go here again to try her other dishes and have another enjoyable experience here!!

As a Chicagoan I say this with sincerity, this is BY FAR the best pizza I’ve ever had in living in NYC for the last 6 years. Incredible customer service, music was excellent, ambiance phenomenal and the food was ABSOLUTELY sensational. I literally called my buddy mid meal to make sure he brings his dinner party of 12 from out of state here in February. Incredible meal and I couldn’t say more about the hospitality, we will be back soon!!!

The food is amazing. The people are friendly. Their sweetened tea is so good! One of the highlights of my NY trip. Will definitely be back! Love the stage for live music. 100/10. Off the charts! So excited to eat I forgot to take pictures!

I recently dined at Concrete and had an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the rest of the evening. The food here is simply delicious. The pizzas are crafted with high-quality ingredients, and you can truly taste the difference. The crust is perfectly crisp, the sauce is rich and flavorful, and the toppings are fresh and generously applied. I tried their Specialty FRIED Pizza , and I was COMPLETELY blown away!!! But what truly sets Concrete apart is their drink menu. They have an impressive selection of craft beers, wines, and creative cocktails that pair wonderfully with the food. I particularly enjoyed the passion fruit margarita which was refreshing and well-balanced. The service was top-notch, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure that every need was met without being intrusive. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food and drinks you receive, making it a great value for the money. Overall, Concrete is a fantastic spot!!

Best bolognese in the city. Period. Slow cooked sauce, homemade pasta and perfectly seasoned. It was my first time dining in (I’ve had the takeout many times) and the chef and owner is so kind and welcoming. Come for a memorable meal.

Went to this small restaurant on a Friday evening. Had to wait 15 minutes for a table but was worth the wait and no big deal without a reservation. Only 2 people working but still provided good service. Food was tasty. I wanted a bit more meat in my ragu pasta, but the food was good. So much excitement for the 10+ hour cooked meat, to not enjoy too much of it. The pesto was good too. Would go back!

I've been to this restaurant several times and usually have a good experience. However, my most recent visit was disappointing. 1. The restaurant's website says it closes at 9:30 pm, but when I arrived on Nov 1st, 2024, at 8:55 pm, I was told I couldn't dine in because they were letting the chef go home early. I had no issue taking my food to go, especially since I'd enjoyed my previous visits. 2. I ordered two pasta dishes--the ragu and the carbonara--both of which I'd had before and knew what to expect. However, when I got home with my order, the quality wasn't the same: * The pasta in the ragu was thick, chewy, gummy, and even had some hard pieces. * The carbonara pasta was also gummy, and the cheese was extremely thick and heavy. 3. I tried calling the restaurant, but they had already closed, so I sent a message on Instagram with all the details. I wanted to give them a chance to resolve the issue before leaving a public review. Their response was: "Thank you for reaching out about your concern. What you were served last night is our new pasta, which has been in production, in-house, for the last month or so. What you consider 'gummy' is just the texture of pasta Fresca, as opposed to the dry pasta we used before. I hope this resolves your concern. Moving forward, that's the pasta you will always find at the restaurant." While I appreciate the reply, it felt dismissive rather than helpful. 4. I'm familiar with pasta Fresca, and the texture here was likely due to poor preparation or technique. Some common issues that can cause a gummy, chewy texture include: * Undercooking the pasta * Using too little water * Over-kneading the dough * Improper resting time * Incorrect flour-to-egg ratio * Not salting the water enough If this is the quality they consider acceptable, I can't recommend this place for pasta anymore.

I really wanted to try this place for a while and invited my boyfriend for a date here. The food was ok but nothing worth remembering. We were left with very sour impression when my boyfriend's credit card was double charged days apart from this establishment. Very shady! Will never return and I hope he can gets his money back.

This amazing place came highly recommended and it delivered. Service, cuisine, atmosphere, literally checks every box! The fried artichoke starter was such a move. I generally like artichokes, but I've never had them prepared like this! The mint mayo was a tasty dipper. The pasta here is fantastically silken and fresh made. I have the crab puttanesca. I love seafood pasta, red sauce, and lots of capers - what could be better? My dining partner got the gamberi e pistacchio. Love a shrimp forward dish, especially with an interesting pistachio pesto. A really interesting texture and flavor - I kept asking for more bites! The service here really is fantastic and the owner and head chef comes over and checks on you whether you're and the bar for drinks or dining in, it's such a welcoming and amazing neighborhood place.

This is a really cute neighborhood bar/restaurant with fun decor that is great for going out with friends or for a night out with the girls! The service is beyond phenomenal which I value so highly in any New York restaurant to be honest--not always the easiest thing to find. The food was unfortunately just...fine. I ordered their most popular menu item: the Ragu. There was barely any sauce, minimal flavor and seasoning, and the noodles were undercooked. I'm not going to lie--it was disappointing. My drink was their spin on a Manhattan and was a bit on the sweet side and a little unbalanced in my opinion. My husband got the Pomodoro Bucatini Special which was delicious and full of flavor however. The difference in our meal quality and the amazing service make me want to come back and give this place another try. It could be that I just ordered the wrong things--or that they were just having an off night. I definitely want to come back and try something different and see if the experience improves. For now I'm giving it 3 stars for the food, but if I were to rate just the service I would be giving it 5. If you come to try it out--maybe just order something other that the Ragu--and definitely check them out when they are having live music! It's a cute spot that I am feeling hopeful to try again.

Get here immediately. Truly the best everything! The best service, the best food, and an awesome ambiance filled with personal touches. I had a taste for a good carbonara pasta and turned to Google and Yelp. Concrete has really high marks on both, so I decided to give it a try. Francesco's carbonara is the best I have ever had. The pasta was perfectly al dented, and the dish was prepared the traditional way, with egg yolk. What an outstanding, rich, and substantial dish. Additionally, a pizza oven has been installed, so I got super lucky and was able to try a slice. Oh, and let me not forget the DESSERT. Tiramisu and fresh, handmade canolli. My goodness, can you say FOODIE HEAVEN! What's wild is. beyond the food, Francesco and his wife won my heart with their warm hospitality and beautiful family stories. They truly made my experience unforgettable.

My girl and I were visiting from Boston and had and amazing experience here. The ambiance was chill low lighting, attentive staff from the chef, server, bartender etc. Not once did we have to flag anyone down or ask for water etc. we shared the special margarita pizza, the steak and the lamb couscous. We also had one of the best expresso martinis , can't wait to come to NY and eat here again! Everything was delicious , good portions and we shared amongst 3 of us.

My goodness.... The service, the food and the ambience. There not enough starts in here to even address my pleasant experience. The fried Pizza ‍. The espresso martinis ‍. I can go on and on.

Stopped in for lunch to have a plate of cacio e pepe and some coffee. Delicious meal. Service was exceptional and the vibe was off the charts. Definitely a spot to try if you have a hankerin' for some Italian.

There's 2 Yelp pages for this restaurant... I posted in the one that's just "Concrete" at the same address. But here's my review. LOVE A THIS PLACE!: Wow wow wow! I read about this place and decided to try it out. Francesco (one of the owners) was so great to us... we sat at the bar and started with the Greenpoint and Concrete cocktails (both are riffs on manhattans). We couldn't decide which one we loved more! Then we tried the meatballs. I'm not kidding when I say they are the best we ever had! So light and the sauce is unbelievable! Then we tried the special... a fried pizza dough margarita-style. OMG. Everything is heavenly. Finished with house made tiramisu and cannoli and espresso! Please check this place out!

Tasty meatballs and fried pizza. Interior was nice and Candace had great customer service. Would definitely recommend.

We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Concrete. Go out of your way to this GEM. The service is exceptional. There were five of us celebrating our son's Birthday. They went out of their way to make the experience special. The food was excellent featuring Sicilian dishes with excellent pasta dishes, pizza, a great array of appetizers. If Italian isn't your preference they have great burgers, steak and outstanding french fries. We look forward to returning again. Please go and enjoy a great vibe with excellent food & service!

Was in nyc last weekend for my birthday and used Yelp to find this place. We didn't have high expectations especially looking at it from the outside but the inside was so charming! The floors are indeed concrete so I was a bit cold inside. The service was absolutely amazing, our waitress was super sweet and gave all types of recommendations. I'm not an espresso martini girl but after I had a sip of my friend's, I HAD to get one and it was amazing. I don't drink coffee so this espresso martini didn't have that overpowering coffee taste/feel. I ordered the Norma pasta with meatballs and it was absolutely delicious! I ate the ENTIRE thing - our waitress was actually impressed lol the food portions here are great and everything was so flavorful. My only complaint would be the tiramisu - it was tasty, but small and served in a plastic cup. It just didn't fit in with the presentation of the rest of the items. I would definitely love to come back though and try more things on the menu!

We stumbled upon Concrete while craving Italian food and decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in, everything was amazing--the ambiance, the attentive service, and, most notably, the warm hospitality of the husband and wife owners, who made us feel at home. We started with the burrata and salad, followed by the margherita pizza and ragu. Each dish was delicious, beautifully presented, and left us wanting more. Highly recommend!

Friendliest staff around it was a great time! Highly recommend the fried pizza and the meatballs. Owner was super nice and everyone who worked here had the best vibes.

I've had Concrete three times now: two dine-in and one takeout experience. All were pretty decent, but I definitely prefer to dine in. My first visit was pre-pandemic. I had the salmon benedict, sweet potato fries, and a cappuccino. They also had (and still have) a free dessert perk if you check in on Yelp. I believe the dessert varies based on what they've made that day. Our server was very friendly, and I really had no complaints about our visit. The sweet potato fries were crispy and excellent. My second dine-in experience was way later, like just the other day. And, like an Alzheimer's patient, I completely forgot I had ordered the salmon benedict last time and got it again. It's a solid entrée but not the best I've ever had. The side salad could definitely use more dressing. It was extremely dry and sparsely flavored. There was next to no hollandaise sauce either, which is the best part of any benedict. The one time I got takeout, I ordered the steak. It was fine. The chimichurri sauce was a little thin and oily, and I actually didn't even really use it after the first taste. It's unfortunate, because I LOVE chimichurri and was really disappointed. It's not something I would order again. Positive points: the restaurant is nice and airy, and the service is always friendly. We live nearby, so we'll probably go back at some point.

Do not let the outside fool you. This place is a GEM! Service The service is on point. The servers are very attentive. When we asked for peeper flakes not only did they bring pepper flakes but the spicy oil for us to try and with pasta that oil was delicious Ambiance The inside is beautifully designed and decorated. Our first time dining at Concrete and we'll definitely be back. The staff and owner are friendly giving this spot a neighborhood vibe. We had the Fried Calamari as a starter. Yum! Lightly battered and the marinara dipping sauce was super tasty. We shared a Pesto Pasta and Candice was so sweet. She had the kitchen split it so we had our own serving each. Then the Margarita Pizza, the dough was delish. Finished with a Tiramisu and espresso. A glutinous Friday night.

What a wonderful family owned restaurant. The husband and wife that runs this establishment are so warm and welcoming, the environment is comfortable. The food was impressive; for starters we had the deep fried pizza, which is rich in Italian history. I've never tasted pizza like this before the dough was soft, yet crispy, the sauce was delicious and the cheese was like little pillows of mozzarella! The pizza was a special for the day but I hope they keep put it on the regular menu. Next we had meatballs, soft, juicy and well seasoned. Entrees Burger with mozzarella 8/10 with the crispy fries loved it Ragu with rigatoni 9/10 And the carbonara 9/10 Dessert Tiramisu, my mother did not share with anyone one so I'm guessing it was a 10/10 The pistachio cannoli was great the cookie outside was crunchy and the cream filling was sweet and had a nice amount of crushed pistachios on the outside That balanced it out Drinks Benhsonhurt spritz which is a play on the Aperol spritz and it was great Overall; I highly recommend this restaurant, I will definitely come back Also, they have live Jazz music!! I think it's on Tuesdays pls give this place a try, I loved it

This one was a pickle. I've eaten here twice and both experiences were vastly different. My first time was nice! I sat at the bar with my friend. The bartender is very kind, knowledgeable, and funny! We ordered 2 espresso martinis and they were delicious. Sweet and frothy but still taste like alcohol. For food we had the meatballs and calamari. I liked the meatballs but they needed more salt. The calamari was good but I wasn't a fan of the breading or sauce. My friend liked it though! Now on to my second trip...the food was terrible all the way around. The steak was gross and the chimichurri sauce was odd. The carbonara was so salty I didn't come close to finishing it. Bless our waitress because she asked me 3 times if I wanted to box it up lol. The drinks were still good and same with the service! Would I come back? For drinks at the bar only. Would I recommend it to a friend? I doubt it

The vibe of the place is great! It is not too big or too small, and the ambiance provides a great dining experience. The food was incredible. My favorite bites of the night were the spicy bruschetta drinking a shot of espresso and following that up with a bit of tiramisu. The pastas were also so lovely and well made. I loved the size of portions of the entrees, and everything tasted phenomenal. I can't wait to keep going back and trying different things on the menu. I think the best part about Concrete had to have been the service. The server and bartender, Francesco, was beyond personable and attentive. We had great conversations with him while being served our food in a timely manner. If anything, he and the other lady behind the bar would be reason enough to go back to Concrete. They are warm, lovely, inviting people who run a great restaurant that serves delicious food with smiles on their faces!

Came in here for a little quiet birthday celebration for our girl! It was nice because it wasn't busy or too loud. We were the only ones there along with two other customers. We came in just before happy hour ended and ordered some drinks. The daiquiris were so good, definitely hit the spot. The good rush was interesting! The calamari was seasoned and crispy, yummy but way over cooked. The pesto was flavorful and just the right snout of cheese, a bit too much oil. The carbonara was so yummy, shrimp was tender and seasoned, it was a bit heavy- as it should be!! There was more pancetta than we expected, and we were not mad at it in the slightest ! It was a nice dinner.

Taste like home cooking if you're the type to not know how to even boil water. I've been putting this review off since the 1st visit when during a month into their opening. I finally came back because I'm a fool and I like to see first hand if food joints improved. They did not. Overall the place looks like a dumpster fire on the outside and feels like a prison in the inside and the food matches. I hate giving places 1 star so I normally leave them as a draft for me to remeber to stay very very very far away. Now that it appears apparent they are shut down I don't feel so bad leaving this tidbit. And if they aren't do yourself a favor and find better pasta absolutely anywhere else.

This restaurant has earned a spot on our list of regulars, and it's probably at the top. The food was exceptional, with generous portions. I ordered the ragu, and the rigatoni was cooked perfectly, striking a balance between al dente and soft. I have to mention the meatballs. They are just scrumptious and melt in your mouth. A must have when you come here. My fiancé had the fried chicken sandwich and fries. The sandwich was a delightful blend of textures, with red cabbage, pickles, and a soft brioche bun. The fries were delicious and complemented the sauces perfectly, even pairing well with my tiramisu. The tiramisu was so light and fluffy with the perfect balance of coffee and cream. Speaking of tiramisu, it was gifted to us by the restaurant, which brings me to their impeccable service. The food was impressive, but the service at Concrete was unparalleled. From the moment we walked in, Franchesco greeted us with a warm smile. He and the other bartender (I'm sad that I didn't catch her name) were attentive, friendly, and personable. I would return just to see them again. They are genuinely good people who create a welcoming and lively atmosphere.

Excellent local spot. I'm reluctant to write this because you all will flock here and ruin it. Family owned, Italian chef coming out and delivering your food. Best pasta dishes I've had in awhile, a special and the pistachio pesto with shrimp (delicious). Small staff is excellent and friendly but it's not fast food. You aren't rushed and you should sit and enjoy, European style.

Do not sleep on this place! My friend and I truly had the best experience and this goes for food, service, ambiance, and just the overall welcoming nature of this place. The food is authentic, delicious, and there is a story behind each dish. We had the Gamberi E Pistaacchio, the Pomodoro with Guanciale, the Margherita pizza, and the Tiramisu for dessert. All were delicious but the pizza dough, homemade pappardelle, and Guanciale are my favorites. This place feels like home but also feels like a special night out. Thank you to the chef and wait staff for making our night so special! 10 out of 10.

First, you will be surprised when you walk in. Nice vibe. Second, it's been a very long time since the calamari measur3d up but this was excellent. Carbonella lifetime favorite of mine was also excellent and portions are large. Excellent service. Very welcoming.

What a great experience after driving all day! Concrete is perfect in a bunch of ways, 1. Cool comfortable space 2. Really nice sincere service 3. Delicious food and cocktails! We had the burrata, meatballs for starters and the carbonara and fried pizza for mains. All were fantastic but the carbonara was a shiny star! Chili oil was spicy and addictive! When we got to the hotel we wondered if they had breakfast? I think that says it all! A+

staff is great, food is great, vibes are great, everything is great. there's nothing to not like about this place! i have visited this places numerous times, perhaps on a weekly/bi-weekly basis and i'm never disappointed. their pastas are phenomenal and for the price, it's very much worth it. flavors and portions are immaculate, but best if you come here on an empty stomach.

Amazing food, hospitality, and atmosphere. We came with our baby and they were so accommodating. The owner and his wife were wonderful and explained the menu very well to all of us. We had the calamari, ragu with meatballs, and carbonara and loved each dish; with plenty of leftovers to take home. We will be back very soon to try more items on the menu!

Everyone must come and try Concrete to support them! They are a small business and I HIGHLY recommend going there! I took my friends from the Bay Area who came to visit me to Concrete. Prior before coming, I have yet to try their place out but was always dying to come since every time I've tried going, they close early or they were closed due to the summer storms/hurricanes, so I've always been very tempted to come back and actually try Concrete out. What's amazing is that you can actually dine inside now, but vaccine cards and IDs must be shown before entering! We decided to order 3 different plates and 3 different types of alcohol to give this place a try: Fried Calamari, P&N Salad, and the Mushroom Risotto. Everything was A M A Z I N G. The calamari was crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside and it was perfect! The P&N salad was also mmm mmm good. The dressing for it was just right and refreshing. Last but not least, the mushroom risotto was deliciosoooo. How is the food so good here?! The service was also pretty bomb, everyone was super friendly and we just had a good time coming here. Love the ambience!

Everything about this place was exceptional. My best friend took me on a visit to New York, and wow. It's been so long since I could taste love and passion in food. Not only was the food absolutely amazing, the service was the best that I've ever had. The owner completely engaged with us and made us feel like family. It was an extremely special experience and out of all my visits to New York, the best. Please do yourself a favor and check this place out. I will miss it as I return to California!

My son took us here for an early Sunday dinner. He raved about it the entire way there. Once inside we were met by attentive friendly staff. We walked towards the back of the restaurant passing great art work and sculptures. Once we sat, our server was there to answer all my questions. There"s something for every diet on the menu. I ordered the chicken sandwich and they ordered burgers. My sandwich was topped with cooked onions, tomato, pickles, and a slaw. It was tasty but I would have liked a toasted bun. French fries are crispy and nice size portion. I paired it with the Etna Bianco. Great service and food are on the other side of the concrete wall. Tip: happy hour 4-7 Check for Nights with DJ

This is a neighborhood gem built with heart and soul. The staff here treats you truly as family! Come here for a true bite of pasta, impeccable vibes and the best service. Their specials are always delicious too!

Don't let the unassuming exterior fool you; concrete is a hidden gem. I must have walked by it a million times before actually stopping in. We got to chat with the owner, who moved to NYC from Italy a while back, and we enjoyed amazing authentic Italian food (source- my very Italian friend). I had the pesto pasta, which was heavy but delicious, and my friend tore through her pasta pomodoro. I also highly recommend their spritz with Averna and aperol; a nice twist on an aperol spritz. We were even offered complimentary tiramisu for dessert, which was easily the highlight of the meal.

Well let me put it this way, can't wait to come back through and continue to sample the menu! The dishes from today were outstanding and perfectly executed, the ragu transported me to a trattoria in a small piazza in the Italian countryside, highly recommended and the spot is industrial meets Italian in BK !

We came in here because we had a hankering for Italian food while in town for the weekend, little did we know that this would be one of the best Italian dining experiences we'd ever had. The food and drink was incredible, the decor was chic but understated, and boy oh BOY did the staff take care of us (thanks Francesco!). Definitely swing by here if you're in the area, they're a small outfit that managed to survive Covid, and they absolutely deserve your patronage.
