Where to Find the Best Takeout Food and Drinks in Georgetown | Eater Seattle

"This low-key lunch counter serves great sandwiches, including a couple of satisfying vegetarian options, such as the “Herradura” with chickpeas, Sriracha, and sliced almonds. It also partners with local nonprofits to donate a meal for every meal sold and says it averages 1,000 donated meals per month for those dealing with housing insecurity. Open for takeout only." - Gabe Guarente

Wow! As a celiac and gluten-free person. This was amazing to have yummy gluten-free bread with delicious homemade sandwiches with fresh salad. A GF gluten-free bread can be used for any one there sandwiches. Even though it's a shared kitchen the chef and server's are aware and trained on safe allergy practices. I found while enjoy my turkey sandwich with all the toppings and their herb dressing( the owner is celiac)! I felt so safe and enjoyed a welcome lunch with my infant son and husband back from the airport. I did look this restaurant up a head of time and thank the gf reviews before myself. Fresh, flavorful dressing, ton side options also gluten-free abd menu was easy to read. p.s. the turkey I swear made in house real turkey ( not deli) so incredibly Cute and unique sandwiches shop. I can feel the hard work and pride this shop with every bite. Nice line of people pick up. Indoor tables and water for self serve. Seattle prices but value much higher than most shops and options a huge. My non celiac husband had the cubin sandwich on non gluten-free hogie roll said was so good! highly recommend! I'll be back! @fibro_nanny celiac nanny

Absolutely delicious and packed with flavor! I ordered the Spicy Turkey Dip with jalapeño au jus and a half beet salad, and I was blown away. The sandwich was perfectly grilled, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, with just the right kick from the jalapeños in the dipping sauce. It was bold, savory, and comforting all at once. The beet salad was fresh and vibrant, loaded with earthy beets, fresh arugula, tangy goat cheese, and candied walnuts that added the perfect crunch. A refreshing and well-balanced side to pair with the sandwich. From presentation to flavor, everything was on point. Cozy vibes, great quality ingredients... this spot is definitely a new favorite!

Spicy turkey dip is fabulous if you like heat. I absolutely will be back here when I'm in Seattle.

Google
What a great little place! I arrived early so pretty much had open seating. It’s nicely decorated, the staff are pleasant, they support the community through meal donations and the food is yummy. I had the hash bagel, which is basically cut potatoes, peppers, a fried egg that came slightly runny and a bagel. The only thing I can recommend is an addition to the sign in the front…it looks like the eatery should be there, but really it’s on the side of the building.

Google
My bride found this treasure in Georgetown when looking for a lunch stop in Seattle, and what a gem! A must stop, and...make it a meal / donate a meal! What a philanthropic concept! We will be back.

Google
Chaz the owner is doing great work! Food here is delicious. Crazy took time from his busy day to answer my questions about his commitment to the community & giving back. He is a very kind & generous man, & you should get to know him! Obviously also very passionate about his work. Thanks Chaz, Peter & I truly enjoyed our visit!!

Google
They have gluten free bread and it doesn't fall apart like gf bread at other places. I love that I can order a sandwich and enjoy it! Also, the spicy kale salad is very simple, but oh so tasty. Highly recommend.

Google
The catering is amazing! Used the EZCater website to order sandwiches and salads for 65 people. The website made everything super easy and trackable. I was able to message with their team and Cierra was very communicative. She was also on time for delivery and was sure to text me when she was on the way with an ETA. Everything was packaged perfectly with labels which is great for large events and dietary restrictions. Will absolutely use their catering services again!

Yelp
This is a rare, consistently delicious and friendly establishment to patron for breakfast and lunch!! The owners and their staff are extremely friendly and welcoming! They are also doing their part in society to help the lesser of the homeless and disenfranchised. A top philanthropic eatery in Georgetown/Seattle! A must try!

Yelp
Little gem spot offering breakfast. Plus, they were able to accommodate my plant-strong request! Win-Win!

Yelp
Healthy eating and helping people. If you buy a meal, they'll donate a meal. That resonates into my core; this is true hospitality and compassion. A deli/kitchen that serves fresh ingredients, carefully and intentionally designed to hit your palate in multiple places while leaving you feeling good about yourself in both a health and ethical mindset. I landed at the airport and this was the first meal off the plane: Turkey Club and a Pear and Walnut salad... Ohh boy!! the sandwich was made with soft and delicate bread that was the perfect thickness to keep this bad boy together, but not too thick where it felt hard or overbearing to the meal. The turkey tasted freshly carved and the bacon was rendered perfectly. The aoili really blew this dish away: savory, creamy, and the best compliment to the crisp vegetables, hearty meat, and savory bacon. The Pear and walnut salad was so fresh and a generous portion for only being a 1/2 size! The dressing was light, zingy, and really brought this fresh dish to another level. I'm a salad-gal so I recognize and appreciate fresh ingredients that blend well together. This was a well crafted dish, I only wish I ordered it in a full size!! I'm currently sitting in the Seattle Airport heading home, but it was a MUST that I stop here to grab food to eat while I wait for my plane. I'm about to devour a 1/2 Garden & Goat sandwich (vegetarian) and 1/2 Spicy Italian Sandwich. They let you customize your plate so you can try multiple things!!! So perfect for a person like me who can't make up their mind!! Honestly, screw airport food - support local and bring it with you! (keeping in mind TSA requirements for liquids) This was my first AND last meal in Seattle :) Did I mention this is a family-owned business? A truly lovely husband and wife own this business and are genuinely passionate about sharing their food with the customers and those neighbors-in-need. they do a lot of work to support their community so I highly recommend you check out their social media and support them with your business, volunteer work, or even sharing their posts!

Yelp
Ok to be honest, the first time I came to Conscious Eatery I got the Italian sandwich and it was quite good, but didn't knock my socks off. The second time, I got the Turkey Club...and I've now been barefoot for a week. You don't often see the words "spectacular" and "turkey club" in the same sentence, but you just did...and I mean it. Man, that was one VERY good sandwich. The bread was ultra soft and fresh with great crust and lots of real sourdough flavor...definitely baked that day. The turkey was like the best thanksgiving leftovers you've ever had, perfectly roasted and moist, not at all dry, and with some skin(!). Y'all sure know how to speak my love language. The bacon was also plenty crisp (a rarity in sandwichdom) and came in abundance, but everything was in balance. The lettuce was crisp and fresh. And the rosemary aioli brought everything together and tied a nice herbaceous bow on top. The folks behind the counter are always super friendly, but you can also order by QR code if you've fully embraced our robot overlords. They have self-serve caraffes of water and offer Miss Vickie's chips (yes, they are Lays, but they're still good - jalapeño for me please). If you're looking for lunch in the area, get over here. I'll be the guy inside devouring another turkey club.

Yelp
This is stupid. You're telling me, I have lived 24 years on this earth to not know how incredibly fantastic and bursting with flavor something as simple as a grilled cheese can be? I'm in awe. I'm at a total loss for words. Oh and the tomato soup . I looked like a total degenerate consuming that sandwich. The sandwich itself is amazing, when matched with that soup. I swear this is how babies are made or some shit, it's gotta be a similar feeling. Absolutely f****** banger spot 10/10, I literally can't think of a single improvement you could've made to that sandwich. Thank you. You have no ruined grilled cheese for me because if I'm ever not around nothing will come close to this. (Ordered the Fuego grilled cheese with ham and tomato soup)
google avatar

Yelp
If you're gluten free, I'd avoid this place. Not because they'll accidentally serve you regular bread, but because any sandwich you make at home would probably be better than what they have. I ordered a gf grilled cheese sandwich with a cup of tomato soup. That cost me almost $20 before tip. The sandwich came on what I assume is the Seven Grain Franz bread that you can get from Costco, so it was TINY (like maybe 3 in x 4 in) and that type of bread just does not work with grilled cheese. It was palatable, but I can make exceptionally better grilled cheese at home using store-bought gf sourdough. The soup was also incredibly disappointing. It was a very small cup and tasted like warmed up tomato sauce - really no substance or flavor to it. I figured this was an easy order that's hard to get wrong, but they surprised me! I'll stick to making my grilled cheese and tomato soup at home for a fraction of the cost. By the way, I'm still hungry!

Yelp
Never underestimate the power of a good soup or sandwich :) They catered one of the events I attended! I tried a bunch of sandwiches like the tuna melt, turkey pesto melt, and grilled cheese. I also tried their loaded potato soup and tomato soup. The loaded potato soup was rich and insane, and the grilled cheese had this incredible parmesan crust on the outside. The bread and filling ingredients are all fresh and high quality, and everything has a homemade taste. Everything was packaged so nicely too!

Bernard A.

Yelp
I waited 15 minutes for my sandwiches to be made, drove back to my office and found a hair in one of my sandwiches. No one is wearing gloves or hair nets at this place. My food cost me $35. Bad experience. Will not go back again.

Yelp
Want to enjoy your food AND feel good about it? Give this place a try--great people, great mission, great space, and they help people in need.

Yelp
We got the fuego grilled cheese and beet salad. Everything is made fresh to order! Plenty of seating inside and easy free street parking (they might have had a small parking lot too). The salad had plenty of toppings and really flavorful dressing. The grilled cheese was perfectly gooey and crispy!

Maureen G.

Yelp
Amazing. I've just had the BEST french dip of my life. Thinner bread so I could enjoy the baked on promised beef with fresh au jus..with mild horse radish sauce. Nirvana. My hubby just jad a fresh baked turkey sandwich FILLED with turkey and GENEROUS with the cranberry sauce, thick slab of cheese amd artisan bread. To top it off, PROCEEDS GO TO FEED THE HUNGRY. WIN WIN WIN WIN. please come and see for yourself!

Yelp
Just stumbled across this place! Great food, both salads and sandwiches were Yummy. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
Love this place!! I've been eating here for months, and the food is always fantastic and fresh. They also go out of their way to be helpful and give thorough service. It's a perfect lunch spot for many of us that work in the area. I will always particularly recommend the Tuna Quinoa Salad and the Garden and Goat sandwich. Both delicious! Lots of gluten free, veg, and vegan options.

Yelp
The goal is to fed Seattle's homeless and underserved population, what could possibly be better then that? I mean for a restaurant to care for a better future- How wonderful! They've already donated nearly 90,000 meals. The prices are super reasonable. We ate breakfast on less than $25 which is incredible for the area. The food tasted fresh and was locally sourced. This is a hidden gem that more people need to support. The menu is small but packs a punch. They do breakfast and lunch. Hours are limited 9-2 M-F, but it's worth stopping by on your lunch hour. The servers were fast and friendly. They have Aloha cards where you can write positive, anonymous messages and they mail them out on their own dime and time. I thought this was a fun addition to our outing. Parking was easy too!

Yelp
Yummy sandwiches. Nice people. Down to earth. Positive intentions.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazingly good bread being used for the sandwiches. They had just opened their doors when we arrived, and the service was remarkably friendly. I had a roast beef sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by all of the ingredients. They have a small eating area inside, but we enjoyed our stay and our meals. Again, best sandwich bread I've found outside of France.

Yelp
Amazing menu & customer service! Love that they give to those who are in need Please support them!!

Yelp
WOW!! this is the best little secret in Georgetown! What a great place. The food is phenomenal the choices are many and great. AND to top it all off, if you "make it a meal" they donate a locally sourced meal to someone in need. If you haven't been here, you are seriously missing out.

Alicia N.

Yelp
The actual best lunch place I've ever had. The 1/2 pear and walnut salad and 1/2 hot Turkey and pesto sandwich is my order and is so delicious every time, plus staff is super helpful and kind! Their sides are always delicious and you can never go wrong with a drink selection as well.
google avatar

Roscelle S.

Yelp
Love the work they do in the community and I especially love their food. We ordered the Turkey sandwich and the quinoa tuna salad and both were amazing. Don't forget to add a cookie ok your order because they are bomb!

Mike H.

Yelp
Incredible service and amazing people. Great sandwich too. Dog-friendly. Lou Piniella says hello!

Yelp
Excellent food and great service! Love the innovative food choices. Definitely recommend for lunch!

Candi K.

Yelp
I like ordering catering here for lunch from this place. I think it is important to give back but also their sandwiches and salads are delicious. I know it might be the most basic sandwich but the peanut butter and jelly with granola is my favorite.
google avatar

Tammy E.

Yelp
What an awesome place for lunch! To know they are giving a meal for every meal you purchase just makes my heart happy. I had the tuna quinoa and had no idea what to expect. What I got was a generous helping of tuna and quinoa on deliciously fresh arugula greens lightly tossed with olive oil or a light dressing. It was the perfect lunch in an unassuming little restaurant in an industrial strip mall in Georgetown. Follow the signs to the storefront which is around the corner from the other businesses on front of the parking spaces. I love the concept of this place and the food sells itself. My lunch compatriots both had the spicy Italian and tomato soup and raved about how delicious their meals were as well. Looking forward to future meals here for sure!

Yelp
The Fuego Grilled Cheese is the best grilled cheese I've had in my entire life. I ordered online for pickup, which was easy enough, and got a half Fuego Grilled Cheese and a cup of Tomato Soup. The food was ready for pickup at the time I scheduled it for and the staff was very friendly. With the sour mama lil's, spicy jalapeños, and flavorful cheese combo, I could die eating this grilled cheese and I would be happy. Dipping it in the subtle tomato soup made it even more delicious, but the tomato soup was good enough to stand on its own. I liked how peppery it was and that it wasn't very watery despite it being vegan. The only negative was of my own error - that I did not order the full fuego grilled cheese. Heed my warning and go for the whole enchilada (or sandwich, in this case) if you decide to visit.

Yelp
My favorite lunch spot whenever I am in South Seattle! Every time I eat here, my food is fresh and tasty. Some of my favorite sandwiches: spicy turkey dip, philly, spicy italian, ... and I always pair it with a yummy beet salad! I am obsessed with the cookies!!! Macadamia nut, coconut and chocolate chip, makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Also super cute, they put cute little messages on my to-go orders! Makes my day everytime :') Say hi to my furry friends there, Conscious Pups Zander, Zelle & Papi!!!

Yelp
Finally came here for lunch today with friends. I've been following them for awhile on IG and love what they're doing and what they stand for. Will definitely come back. We got there around 11am before they got really crowded which was good since we were newbies and had a hard time deciding and I'm sure had more questions than most regulars. We already knew about what they do for the community before we got there it was just a matter of not knowing what we wanted to order. I went with the make a meal cause it gave me a chance to try their sandwich, salad and soup at once. The salad was fresh with lots of goodies there were fried onions on top of the salad giving it nice texture with out the heaviness of a crouton. My meal had a half of their spicy turkey dip, half of the pear walnut salad and a cup of the tomato soup. We'll be back to work my way through the salad list.
google avatar

Jojo R.

Yelp
I stood there and waited til it opened at 11:00, despite Yelp saying it was already open, and I was turned away and told to order online. Well, maybe perhaps y'all should state that in BOLD before I wasted an Uber trip here!
google avatar

Stacy S.

Yelp
I had brunch/early lunch here with a friend... essentially I picked her up at the airport and when she said she was hungry, I had no idea was close by where we were... so we found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out because of it's name and the reviews. We were glad to see the use of reusable utensils and dishes.... and the staff was super friendly and gave us recommendations. We both had the quinoa bowl with an egg and loved it!
google avatar

Julie P.

Yelp
This is a super great breakfast gem! First he mission to help others is great. This restaurant is taking a great step to try and help others. I am happy to support them. The prices are very reasonable and food is great. I ordered the orcas breakfast It was great you have the option to add sour cream and/or salsa for $1 more. You can also make it into a burrito if you choose. My scramble had eggs, cheese, bacon, bell peppers, onions. It was cooked just right. I also added some sour dough toast with jelly.

Nauxjonkeith A.

Yelp
I went for the first time today after hearing my good friend rave about how good the food was, and man.... he undersold it. The Spicy chicken sandwich is heaven encapsulated in a sandwich. One of the best sandwiches I have had. 11 out of 10! A must have. The side salad is wonderful as well. Fresh fruit and a homemade vinaigrette.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped in for lunch for the first time. I have to say I will for sure be back. I was going to go with a Cranberry Turkey Sandwich but they were out of Turkey so I tried the Garden Goat and it is so amazing. Honestly I waffled on it cause I wasn't sure if I wanted meat in my sandwich and I'm SO GLAD I went with it and it's amazing. I'm glad this was my first sandwich cause it sealed the deal. The staff was friendly and they made the sandwich FAST and the dining area is super cute. Will for sure be eating here again.

Yelp
Second time having lunch from Consceous Eatery . Roast beef sandwich has a hefty amount of beef and a great tasting piece of a baguette. Came with a huge pear which I absolutely love. Sandwich tastes like the best in town. I just recently learned that when you buy a meal from here, you are feeding the hungry as they donate a one for one sandwich to the needy. I don't know how they make it work because their food is very reasonably priced, but love the opportunity to make the difference in the world while making a big taste impact in my own mouth/stomach.... :) :) :)
google avatar

Yelp
I have had delivered Box lunches from this restaurant a fair amount of times but this was my first venture to dine inside for a sit down lunch. I enjoyed it. The restaurant is very quaint and quiet. I just have one complaint and that is the chairs were not the most comfortable! However, for the type of restaurant that it is I didn't have to sit for very long. Was pretty much in and out quickly, but not rushed. I had the Cobb salad, and it was very tasty but interestingly displayed. Rather than being in a bowl it came with everything distinctly lined up around the plate in a pattern. Was just a different visual effect on a plate than in a bowl. They accommodated Keto lifestyle and other dietary needs. The wait staff were pleasant. Prices were reasonable for a Georgetown location. I'd dine in again for sure and recommend their food.
google avatar

Andrea P.

Yelp
Ordered the Tuna Quinoa salad and it was really tasty! I ordered it without the cheese and it came as requested so I was very grateful. I also found out they have gluten-free bread, so next time I will try a sandwich!! I loved my salad and love that they donate a meal for each one sold - if only there were more Conscious Eateries in the world! Fantastic food and fantastic mission. :-)
google avatar

Sara K.

Yelp
Delicious Sandwiches today!! The online system to order is pretty complex so as long as you're willing to navigate that, I'd highly recommend the food. We had the veggie and goat cheese sandwich (they forgot the spicy peppers) and loved them. The como bread was yummy. PS- thanks to the owner for the outreach- complex ordering not I'd come back over and over!
google avatar

Yelp
Wow. We were impressed. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The environment was welcoming. The food was great. We had sandwiches and salads. Everything was great. We will be back. We took our food and went to Georgetown brewery for lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Holy Geeze! Where do I start? First off I LOVE this place! The positive energy coming from all the staff paired with their welcoming faces is fantastic! As you walk in the menus are placed over the cooking line so you get to experience everyone making your food. Clean area with a country rustic look to it. Every single human working here was extremely nice and accommodating. Again the energy here is awesome. As soon as you walk in you want to be here. They have created a great space to enjoy your breakfast or lunch. I have been in here a couple times now and every time it has been extremely packed but it stays super chill. The food has such great flavor. When you order make sure you keep it as is unless it is an allergy. Everything works perfectly together on each item. Enjoy! Stop by! I'm sure your experience will be just as great as mine.
google avatar

Billy W.

Yelp
Excellent sandwich options with a friendly staff and philanthropic goals. Buy a meal and they'll match it, supporting the White Center food bank.
google avatar

Cynthia C.

Yelp
The food here is absolutely delicious I highly recommend the spicy grilled cheese and tomato soup. Although I must say the communication in the establishment isn't always the best. I've had times that I ordered online and come to pick up (was charged) just to find out they're closed for the day. Go order your food inside and enjoy this delicious place!

Nikki Z.

Yelp
Great food. Their salads are so flavorful & they have tasty sandwiches as well. The staff is super friendly (& they have pups employed!) Not only is their food great, but their cause to donate a meal for every meal purchased makes you feel even less guilty about eating here.
google avatar

Jessie A.

Yelp
Delicious. Simple ingredients and polite service. Great little area to eat outside.

Lakshmi A.

Yelp
It's a great place for a quick breakfast or lunch. Their sandwiches are amazing. My other half just loves turkey cranberry sandwich. I went for a turkey club and I am not disappointed. I also got Caesar on the side. The sandwich is really tasty. The eatery has partnered with local non-profit organizations to provide food for the homeless. This is not only a great place to have a meal but it has a noble cause as well.

Yelp
I typically work through my lunch and don't eat while in the office. Today was different as I found myself hungry. I work mostly with guys and they were putting together a group order. Something they do from time to time. However, this time I wanted in on it and when I asked where they were ordering from I couldn't understand what they were saying simply because I hadn't heard of it before. Everyone around the office were yelling out....."it's soooo good there!" and "I love that place!" etc etc. So when I walked over to my co-worker, Omar's desk to look at the menu he said, "Oh no....you don't need to worry about this. I got you. You're going to love this. It's BOMB!" He ordered something for me and literally EVERYONE in the office ordered the same thing. The Spicy Turkey Dip. Maybe 15 minutes later a couple of the guys came around the office dropping off lunch bags at everyone's desk. As I opened the bag I already liked how things were thoughtfully packaged. I opened the dip and it didn't look like the standard Au Jus dip. Nope. This one looked more like Miso Soup with a slice of Jalapeno floating in it. Hmm...I thought. Creative and interesting. I couldn't wait to open the sandwich. It looked great and was perfectly golden with tender looking turkey and melted pepper jack cheese. I went in the the first dip and ultimately took my first bite of sheer deliciousness. Oh. My. God. I stood up at my desk.....made eye contact with my co-worker, Omar, and all he said was, "I know.....right!" I said, "It's soooo Fu!#ing GOOD!" There was another unique flavor so of course I had to look up the menu to see what was on the delightful sandwich. They also have this yummy house made garlic aioli that is to die for. As I'm super QUIET because I'm stuffing my face at my desk and the guys are all laughing because they can clearly see I'm in heaven...they go on to tell me this "Conscious Eatery" also donates a meal for every meal to people in the Seattle area facing hunger. WHAT? Wait...What??? So I read further on their website the work they do to make a difference right here in my city. One of my co-workers said, "They're like the TOMS for restaurants!" Haha! That's when I stood up and said, "I'm writing them a review. NOW." It's been a very long time since I've actually taken the time to write a review and I generally don't write one of this magnitude but this place deserves it. WOW. I ate the food so fast and I was not expecting I'd be writing a review so unfortunately I wasn't able to get a picture of the Spice Turkey Dip so this was the best I could do. But...this place is epic. EAT HERE!!! Your tummy and heart will be happy!!!

Yelp
This place is always great to come to for lunch. It is a longer wait if you order there, but you can order online on grubhub or on their website. Their food is always fresh and delicious! I've had their salami and tuna melt sandwiches! Their salads are always great too! And I love what they stand for I would definitely come again and recommend it to others! I do want to try their soup because I have yet to do that!

Nicholas H.

Yelp
Amazing Spicy Turkey sandwich. Friendly staff. Awesome cookies. I highly recommend this place, if you in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Mozers M.

Yelp
What can I say, absolutely phenomenal. Not just the food. The staff. The family ambiance. The smiles. The happiness that goes into every bite. New hours due to covid are 11-2pm Monday - Friday. I usually get the philly with a side of Au Jus and their salads are awesome as well. I have been frequenting this restaurant since they first opened. Everything they stand for is honorable. They give a meal whenever you buy a meal. That's humbling to think about after you get done eating. Every-time I leave, I leave happy and most of all my stomach leaves happy!
google avatar

Angelica T.

Yelp
The idea that anyone could give this place less than 5 stars in unreal to me. The staff were AMAZING. Because of COVID, you couldn't go inside so they had a cute table in the doorway and the kindest woman took my order. Food wasn't too expensive, especially for the quality and portions. I had the toughest time picking what to order because everything sounded amazing. I went with the pulled pork grilled cheese and the beet salad- both were out of this world. I peeked inside and the environment in there was very cozy, and market-like. I can't recommend it enough! ALSO there was a bag littered outside and the worker ran out and grabbed it and said "who even litters anymore?!" which had me and the other customers laughing!! And tossed the bag. She washed her hands and used hand sanitizer after, and put on new gloves. Very welcoming and comfortable place!
google avatar

Ian P.

Yelp
Delicious, extremely low prices, and with a one-to-one meal donation per order, can't give this place enough love. The staff are very kind and obviously work extremely hard. Go here!
