19 Spots for Delicious Crispy Fried Fish Around Atlanta

"Chef Scotley Innis brought this elegant Afro-Caribbean restaurant to Buford Highway in 2021, and it’s done brisk business ever since. The cross-cultural cuisine at Continent ranges from Yardman oysters (similar to oysters Rockefeller) layered with the leafy Jamaican vegetable callaloo, duck bacon, garlic butter, and parmesan cheese to oxtail lo mein mixed with savory braised meat, baby bok choy, and chambray onions. One of the seafood stars on the menu is the fried whole snapper atop a creamy red coconut sauce served with a side of Szechuan-style vegetables. Reservations recommended." - Beth McKibben, Sarra Sedghi

Best Restaurants and Food Markets on Buford Highway, Atlanta - Eater Atlanta

"This restaurant from chef Scotley Innis brings Afro-Caribbean cuisine infused with global ingredients and flavors to Buford Highway. Inspired by his travels and love for the diaspora of African cuisine, dishes at Continent range from starters like Yardman oysters (Think oysters Rockefeller) layered with the leafy Jamaican vegetable callaloo, duck bacon, garlic butter, and parmesan cheese to oxtail lo mein and fried whole snapper atop a creamy red coconut sauce served with Szechuan-style vegetables. Relax after dinner in the cigar lounge with cocktails or Macallan scotch flights and rare spirits, like the pricey Remy Martin Louis XIII cognac. Reservations highly encouraged." - Eater Staff

Continental Restaurant & Martini Bar Review - Old City - Philadelphia - The Infatuation

"The Continental - which has locations in both Old City and Center City - is basically an upscale diner that serves alcohol. You can come here for any meal of the day, and, while they’re not open 24/7 like a normal diner, they do serve dinner until 1am, which is about the latest you can get food anywhere in the city. They also have a great brunch that includes a pretty perfect huevos rancheros, and a Bloody Mary topped with beer that will make you forsake all other Bloody Marys" - Sydney McElwee

If you’re looking for great food and a place that truly cares about the community, “Continent” is the spot to visit! The flavors are incredible, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service makes you feel right at home. Not only do they serve delicious meals, but they also give back to the community in meaningful ways. Supporting them means enjoying a fantastic meal while helping a business that’s making a real difference. Highly recommend!

Came here for Valentine dinner. Please disclose prices of water/drinks before things are ordered. $12 for a water is crazy. Limited menu which we did not know until we sat down. My date ordered the salmon dinner and they brought out an oxtail pasta. Once they brought out what he actually ordered, it was salmon over a bed of white sauce. $40 for just that? Yea, we won’t return

Had my 30th birthday dinner here and it was such a beautiful time! The food was amazing, the staff was very kind and I can’t wait to come back again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

We came here for my friend's birthday and this place did not disappoint. The ambience was amazing. The service was TOP NOTCH thanks to Jamal. He was attentive, made great recommendations, and provided top tier service. The DJ shouted my friend out and played a great variety of music. Very very nice vibe. Let's talk about the food. I'm pescaterian and there were so many great options. That lomein was AMAZING. My friends had the oxtail in theirs and I chose the vegan option. 10 out of 10. The salmon was also tasty, it didn't taste fishy and the corn salsa and butter sauce omg! Also the drinks were amazing. Just EVERYTHING 10 out of 10. Can't wait to return.

We went very recently. Me and my husband sat cross a nice family, that look like they were celebrating graduation. Our food we order was good. The menu didn't have much variety. As we almost finished our meal, we noticed and we were being noisy, one of the family member called the waiter and told them that found a bug in the food. They waiter face said it All. That family stayed Calm, Cool and Collected. We wouldn't have known if we weren't all in there business. We left before them, so not sure how it ended.Continental do better. We may not go back because now I don't know if we ate any bugs.

Having heard that the food and vibe here were good, we traveled all the way from Douglasville. Definitely the best food I have ever had. The drinks were just as good, as was the service. I recommend that you try this restaurant if you are celebrating your birthday or any occasion. Shot back out to the DJ who was also throwing down!

Google
I must say this restaurant was very nice ! My waiter and the hostess were sweet . The food was great . I’m giving a 3 star only because of my steak. It was flavored perfectly but overcooked . I ordered medium well and it came out super well done with no pink at all. I asked for a new one or to be substituted for another entree and the manager denied this request. My steak was 140 and I ate none of it due to it being over cooked and still paid for it . This is not the type of service I expect from a fine dining establishment. I came here for my birthday dinner and this put a damper on my experience. I still say try them out I will Come again to give it another try . I love supporting black owned business and would hope For a better experience on the next try.

This place was amazing! I came here on a Friday night and celebrated by birthday with some friends. Dinner was amazing the reviews did not lie about that oxtail lo mein. All my friends enjoyed their meal and the portions were a good size. The pepper shrimp was amazing and they made my birthday a very special night. I will definitely be coming back!!! Thank to my server, manager and bartender. You guys were truly amazing 🫶🏽

Yelp
This is my second time here. I came here on New Year's Eve and for my friend's bday. I liked it here! They had a live DJ on this Friday 02/09 and the appetizers were really good and filling. My friend and I had the Rum Punch drink. I would say the alcohol was lacking could use more rum to be classified as a Jamaican Rum Punch. The Tamarind wings, spiced lamb chops, four cheese Mac & cheese were really good. I didn't like the potato fritters wouldn't recommend it. Overall this place is really nice! Vibes, atmosphere, music and food were all good. Definitely recommend and will be coming back!

Yelp
Great experience. Sexy ambiance. Great eats. This is one my favorite places to go when I feel like eating well and dressing up. I haven't had a poor experience with servers so far. Ive been quite a few times.

Yelp
Ambiance is cute and intimate enough for a date. Service was 10/10 from the moment i entered the building. Server actually cares and so does management. I can tell when a pace takes pride in good customer service and having a quality experience. Only complaint is $25 is too high for 3 small lamb chops. Time for a new food vendor because that's absolutely ridiculous. Brussel sprouts were delicious.

Yelp
This service was literally so slow. It took 30 minutes for us to order, another 35 minutes for us to receive our drinks. Another 30 minutes for us to get our food. The music choice was great and the vibe was neat but the service just was extremely slow and the parking situation was crazy. 5/10

Yelp
Place was amazing except for the parking. Staff was on point and what items they did have in stock were amazing. We had dinner and visited the cigar spot which is adjacent to the restaurant. This is definitely not just a place to be seen, but also a place for great food and drinks. Only complaint was it's a tad too loud to have type of conversation. Excellent for music and a vibe with dinner. For our entrees we had the oxtail lo mein, lamb shank with Mac and cheese and we also ordered the pepper shrimp for an appetizer. The pictures of the food didn't come out clearly, but I can guarantee they were flavorful and appropriately portion sized. We will be going back due to the food, service and we want to try a few more dishes. Chef was onsite during this visit.

Yelp
Visited on a Friday evening for a date night with my husband. It was only one other table occupied in there at the time. We were seated in a booth with menus before our server came over. We ordered water and potato fritters. While we waited we discussed the menu options for dinner and drinks. I ordered myself French 75 and ordered him a Whiskey Ginger Smash. Drinks were good and strong. His came with this candied ginger and it was really good. The potato fritters arrived and we were expecting something more fried but we enjoyed them. They were crispy, flavorful, with a hint of spice. For dinner, he got the Fried Whole Snapper while I enjoyed sides, Three Cheese Mac, Fried Brussel Sprouts, and Sauteed Spinach. Dinner was delicious. Those brussel sprouts, chef's kiss, outstanding. I wish I had gotten another order. Three cheese mac was delicious. Spinach was a lil salty but still good. Fried snapper was meaty and flavorful. We enjoyed everything thoroughly. We also had a couple flaming shots during dinner which was a fun experience. Service was great and we told them it was our anniversary so they gave us complimentary champagne, it was cute and we appreciated the gesture. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
The food is too good for me to stay away lol. S/o to my brother from another mother Chef Scotley Innis. If you're looking for the perfect American/Caribbean fusion cuisine look no further. Not only are the cocktails the best in the city but the food is oh so flavorful. I tried the pepper shrimp and it was a masterpiece on a plate. They really did something special this time. Stop in and tell Chef Ash Said It sent ya! #ashsaidit

Yelp
Hosted a 50th Birthday Celebration Dinner for my husband and about 11 guest. The planning process with Karen was exemplary. Karen described how our dinner service would go and it went smoothly. The food and drinks were delicious. There were a variety of menu options. The ambiance was sultry and chic. Our guest kept asking how did I hear about the place because they were impressed. We had this dinner on a Friday night and there was a DJ. Oh an you can bring your own cake which they will present to your group as dessert. Lastly, the cigar lounge next door was the perfect night cap. Thank you to everyone involved in making this dinner memorable.

Yelp
Last night, my cousin and I went here for dinner and libations. It is off the beaten path, but the ambiance is quite impressive. Art work on the walls, plush red velvet booths, and a DJ was mixing one the ones and twos with a great playlist. Impressive cocktails: Ice cubes with edible flowers frozen in them, martinis with edible hibiscus flowers, smoked old fashioned, and other creations made by a mixologist. Because of this, the price reflects the artisan nature of the drinks. Expect to pay $14-$20 for cocktails. The only critique is that the drinks were slow to flow out to tables, so hiring extra bar staff may be necessary. The premise of this place is simple. Jamaican food executed at a very high level. The chef's pedigree shows that he is really well versed in technique but understands balancing of flavors. In dishes like the head on shrimp with a curry appetizer, he shows a deft hand in incorporating Asian flavors in an authentic way to create Jamaican food that keeps its inherent roots. The tamarind wings were a first for me, but the sauce was amazing, such great flavors that married well together.

Yelp
Ate here lastnight and the food was spectacular!!! See below for deets: Pros: --nice decor --helpful and attentive waitstaff --prob the best Caribbean fusion food over ever had --they had a dj (I assume this may be a Saturday or weekend-only thing.) --full bar Cons: --music was a little too loud. (It's a place with mostly booths, so you kinda have to yell across the table.) Recommendations: --sorrel margarita --fried snapper with the red curry sauce --oysters --fried chicken --pepper shrimp Will absolutely return when I'm back in Atlanta!!

Yelp
Super unimpressed with the food here. I would even go so far as to say the oxtail lo mein (their signature dish) is the worst meal I've had in a long time. It was salty, heavy, oily, and the meat didn't taste fresh. 0 out of 10 - do not recommend. Especially not for the price point ($40). They don't have a license to sell alcohol, so only mocktails were on the menu. That was the best thing I had there though. Another upside was the deejay playing old school reggae, which I love, and at around 10pm there was still free parking available in the parking lot. Again, for the price point, the food should be not only good, but edible. We were a party of three and none of us ate our food.

Yelp
I stopped by Continent on a Friday evening, and I had a great time! This minority owned restaurant and lounge has a fun but chill vibe. I arrived around 10pm without a reservation and found seats at the bar. We enjoyed cocktails from the lovely ladies working the bar(great service very attentive), and we really enjoyed the DJ. We didn't go into the cigar lounge, but the restaurant portion was great. They had small and large groups, and food looked good. Definitely make a reservation here! Also if you check in on Yelp you receive a flaming shot! Parking is free in the plaza lot.

Yelp
My friends & I decided to check out Continent Restaurant & Cigar Lounge. The place looked really nice, and the staff were super friendly. They even had a DJ playing some good music, which added to the fun vibe. But, when it came to the food, I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed. They call themselves a Caribbean fusion restaurant, so I was expecting some bold flavors. But my salmon dish, which was supposed to be scotch bonnet beurre blanc was totally bland. Same goes for my husband's fried chicken - no flavor at all. And my friend's vegan pasta? It was so spicy, it was hard to eat. Considering how much they charge for their meals, I expected a lot more. Plus, the service was really slow, and they automatically add 20% gratuity to your bill, no matter how many people are in your group. Overall, I got the feeling that Continent Restaurant & Cigar Lounge cares more about looking fancy than serving up delicious food. If you're looking for a satisfying meal, I'd recommend trying somewhere else.

Yelp
Good: good and creative Service: pleasant and welcoming Ambience: grown and sexy This is good place for an intimate date or celebratory meal with a festive group. I went here on a Friday night and had a nice evening. There is free parking in the plaza this restaurant is located. Plus, there is an elegant entrance with mini fountains and a grand entry door. This place is a bit vacant early in the evening but the energy and crowd starts to pick up after the DJ starts playing at 9pm. Get ready to enjoy a good mix of classic dancehall and r&b hits from the 90s/00s. I had the stush martini, it was a delicious drink that wasn't too sweet but I wish it was a big stronger. Along with that I also had the salmon dish. The salmon was PERFECTLY cooked and came on a bed of yummy callaloo gnochi. The dish was pleasing but eat before you get here because the portions aren't big. It's highly suggested to get a side or appetizer in addition to your entree because your meal alone won't make you full unless you already ate before you got there. The decor and ambience is quite grown and sexy. It's dimly lit with pretty floating candles to light your table. Beware that if you're a small party of 2-3 persons, they may sit you at one of their small tables that feels similar to a work cubicle. These tables are situated with a pretty red velvet partition that blocks off one side of the table and it can be very awkward for you and your company to sit next to each other while staring at this random wall in front of you as you eat. Other than that, this was an enjoyable dining experience.

Joyrina H.

Yelp
This was place was just ok. You only can be at the table for 90 minutes. Was not a lot of options that I wanted so I wind up getting the tamarind wings which were good but so much sauce. I also had the whisky ginger smash drink which if you like ginger you would like it. Parking is basically shared by several businesses including another business. The place automatically charges 20% percent gratuity and the waitress told me that they didn't have their liquor license so some things were limited and not sure what that meant. So it was limited interaction with the waitress as I think she was making the drinks as well. They had a dj who played pretty good old school music but I personally would not be back.

Yelp
Located in a nice plaza with ample parking in the front and back. Love the entrance. Red carpet and stanchion and hookah stations outside. Space includes bar, dining area, and cigar lounge. Very comfy cozy atmosphere. Good music and staff. Ordered salmon with callaloo gnocchi, vegetables and continent rum punch. Overall not bad, however I have to say for the price, short menu and mandatory 20% gratuity I expected better tasting food. Extremely small plank of salmon, gnocchi sauce was excellent. Not a lot of gnocchi.

Yelp
It was a whole birthday. Everything around us and myself was a vibe. So we had a pretty large table. The service was mad slow. It was 1 server for a big party and things took quite a long time for drink orders and food. Our tomahawk wasn't good it was heavy on the char and there was no flavor the mac was very greasy and dripping on the cheese oil when we picked it up with our fork. Lobster was dry the kale salad was good. Wings were good and the oysters was ok they could have given a slice of lemon to squeeze on or some more love on the seasoning too. The drinks ...the drinkssss were on point but over by the cigar lounge it was heavy on the ice on the same drink. The bathroom is unisex with a blur door so you can see bodies but not parts. Dj played great music it was a vibe manager definitely checked by the table a few times but I didn't want to kill the vibe on the disappointment on food. Get there early or there's no party there's lots of other clubs and lounges in the same plaza. But this spot is great for vibes and drinks.

Yelp
Loved this place! Brunchnista suggested it on IG and I looked at their menu and was like, "Gotta Go!" My niece was in town and I gave her a list of restaurants to choose from. She chose here! I was so elated! We made a reservation on Yelp and went early because I figured this would be a spot that everyone went too! We got there and the escorted us to their cigar lounge. Very chic! My brother in-law is a cigar smoker and would've loved it. We made it to our table and honestly I couldn't get passed the appetizers! So I ordered a bunch of those as my meal. What I ordered: Oxtail Bao- Delicious!!! Love when ppl do something different with oxtail. Yard Man Oysters- they were just okay to me. Probably because I prefer NOLA style of oysters. Pepper Prawns- This was definitely different! It gave me Thai vibes, but the grilled coco bread infused the West Indies with the dish. I paired this with the spinach. Delicious! Sorrel mojito- I wished the mint flavor was a little stronger, but it was tasty. My niece had the chicken and she said it was delicious also. Only thing missing was dessert.

Yelp
Went on a Saturday night at 10pm and it was packed we didn't have a reservation however they assisted in getting a seat in the smoking side where we got a cigar, drink, hookah and food. The music was great but slowed at around midnight when the crowd thinned out. I removed a star because parking was a bit pricey and it took awhile to get drinks and food. It was nice to see the fight on the tv.

Yelp
I was in ATL over night. Hit up an old friend to ask where I should go for a nightcap. They recommended this place and I was pleasantly surprised. I wasn't quite sure what to think because it's in a strip mall. When we walked in, the vibe was definitely intimate. There were people celebrating birthdays, gathering with friends and out on dates. The goal was just to order two drinks and call it a night... that did not happen. The music was amazing! My friend and I sat at the bar. I ordered this old fashion - Call Me Old Fashioned. It was delicious! I decided to check in on Yelp and was pleasantly surprised that they gave their signature shot complimentary for checking in. Clearly it's the signature for a reason. From the presentation to the actual drink, everything was tasty. Needless to say, after the drinks, food was a necessity. Shrimp, oxtail bao buns, and yuca fries. Highly recommend! The oxtail in the bao buns came out a little cold but it could have been just the timing of the other items. Other than that, everything was delicious!

Yelp
Booked 2 weeks prior to Valentine's Day for my BF and I. Upon arrival the entrance and inside decor was nice and the waitstaff and hostesses were very friendly. They gave me a rose upon entry which was sweet. Now buckle up cause it's all down hill from there 1. Sat down to realize it was a pre selected menu which was $145pp. Nowhere on the website or booking site did it say that so I knew what I was walking into 2. $145pp or $350 per couple. That makes no sense whatsoever. They know people will likely be coming as a couple so that price is inflated? Lame 3. We asked to be seated on the cigar side as that's the reason why we selected a CIGAR lounge. They had a total of 8 boxes of cigars with most of the humidor Empty. I was so disappointed because it looks like the kings just opened and valentines dinner was deceiving. Won't be returning.

Taylor P.

Yelp
I had a WONDERFUL time here! Overall, I enjoyed the food, drinks, ambience, and especially the DJ! The waitstaff was very accommodating to my large party. I chose this restaurant to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday and it did not disappoint! The menu has a variety of dishes. I would have tried them all if I could! I ordered the pepper shrimp as a starter and the braised lamb shank for my main. I also partook in the "Fountain of Youth" from the "Four Elements of the World." The restaurant is absolutely stunning. The DJ played wonderful music and catered very well to the crowd. My friends/family and I could barely eat because we were up dancing the whole time! I especially enjoyed the part of dinner where the staff brought out sparklers for everyone so that we could sing "Happy Birthday." I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time! I cannot wait to return and enjoy a cigar!

Yelp
While visiting ATL a few weeks ago, a friend recommended Continent Restaurant & Cigar Lounge. I went on on slow night so the place was empty. However, going to a restaurant on a slow night has it perks... no wait time and fast service. I ordered the vegan Rasta pasta and it was delicious. The staff was courteous and professional, and the owner was mad cool. The restaurant has a good playlist but the music is a little on the loud sound. My only regret about my visit is I didn't get a to-go order of the Rasta pasta to bring back home with me on the plane. If you're planning a trip to ATL, please check them out.

Yelp
For the grown and sexy! The decor and style of this place screams "great vibes". Came on a Wednesday night and the place was very low key. If you want an intimate vibe with little distractions go during the week. Our waitress Ray was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great service! She helped make our experience better. What we ordered? Lamb and wings appetizer, Snapper (escovitch style) and stew peas entree. So good I ordered extra to go. A dinner for two with drinks will run you at least $250 but it's worth it. Do not come here for a low budget dinner, this is quality and class.

Yelp
We're in Atlanta and I know a lot of places get high scores just based on ambiance and nothing else so I'm scoring this for overall experience. So, for ambiance this place is really nice. The outside gives you a real lounge/club vibe and when you step in, it's intimate lighting and feels cozy. The seating is a little weird. I understand peopleay want privacy when they eat or not feel like the next table is dining with you but the partitions between the side tables are so high, you feel like you're in a cubby. Unless you're sitting on the end, you can't see much of the restaurant. Also, this place is a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures or IG videos. We started with drinks first and the stush martini was really good. Now, the price of that martini was giving Miami vibes for $20 (20% gratuity is automatically added) but whatever. I was intrigued by the idea of Caribbean/Asian fusion so we ordered a few appetizers and main dishes. They all came out at the same time! The server tried to say it was because the kitchen moves fast but there was no room on our table for all of the appetizers plus the main dishes and the mains weren't as hot once we got to them because everything came out together. So, here we go... Oxtail BAO: Good concept but the flavor is too mild for caribbean oxtail and it was missing the gravy it needed to combat the dryness of the bao bun Mussels: Pretty good and the broth was flavorful Tamarind Wings: Definitely didn't taste the jerk seasoning although I could smell it and they were really dark like they were cooked too long. Fried whole snapper: It could've used just a little more seasoning but you can't really go wrong with whole snapper Cassava au gratin: This one was great for the first two bites but the coconut milk is way too heavy. After those initial bites, all you taste is coconut milk and it must be full fat because this is a very heavy side dish. Lastly, I'm not sure what the normal vibe is on a Friday night but it was pretty empty the whole time we were there. The DJ was good and we thought it would get jumping after a while but by 11 or so, it still wasn't so I'm not sure if maybe another night is better.

Yelp
I very much so like going to continent. That's a really good vibe. One side is the restaurant that has a full bar, the other side is a cigar area, and also as a full bar. The restaurant food is good, it's pretty expensive when you think about it, but the food is good of quality. It will be great for a date night situation. They have the other side which is the cigar area blocked off so you're not getting the same smoke when you're eating. It's very well ventilated and it has its own humidor. The humidor room looks pretty good and it has a decent selection. Not a vast selection but you should be able to find what you're looking for without an issue. Or something similar. They have a really good Smokey old fashioned, that's one of the reasons that I enjoy it because that drink is so good. The wait staff there is always friendly, and amazingly beautiful! Always with a smile on their face. No matter who you are getting served by. I have been there several times and I probably will continue to go! And oddly enough, when I checked in on yelp, it actually said that I get a free shot (flaming)! That was new, yelp really came through lol!

Yelp
Although we only had appetizers, they were excellent. And the drinks were amazing! Afterwards, we stepped into the cigar lounge (so we could hear one another) which was also nice. Although i will definitely go again, i have to be in a club mindset due to the very loud music and folks dancing between tables. Lol

Yelp
I attended a birthday dinner here. I briefly sat in the cigar lounge area, which conveniently has a bar to order drinks. The cigar lounge is small with an intimate vibe and there appeared to be a variety of cigars. The dinner reservation time was ultimately pushed back by the restaurant, so we ate dinner after 10P, though the reservation was for 9P. The restaurant is dimly lit and there was a DJ playing reggae/soca music up until about 11P; he switched to hip-hop after 11P. The menu has limited options. I am pescatarian, and I didn't want salmon or red snapper. I ordered the prawns appetizer and four cheese mac. The prawns appetizer had 5 large prawns with the head on; the prawns had good flavor. The four cheese mac was yummy. Someone next to me got the lobster mac, which comes with a lobster on top but the mac itself did not have lobster chunks. The group had nearly 20 ppl. Important payment information was not shared when the reservations were made, causing an inconvenience to the party guests. We were told only 3 cards could be taken for the entire group and we could not pay individually. We ended the night cashapping folks and getting cash out to cover the bill--such a headache! Strongly advise large groups to be aware of their payment policy and look at the menu to be sure there's something you'd like to eat!!

Yelp
I rate this restaurant 6/10 out of the ambiance was nice, good music and the service was decent. Just a few suggestions I ordered the oxtail plus rice and peas it was tasty but it was dry more gravy is needed. Also non-alcoholic drinks such as soda should be free refills only specialty drinks there should be no refills. I went on Sunday for my birthday celebration I enjoyed the complimentary bottle of wine. No full menu on Sundays but the waiter did say you can order something from the regular menu and they can see if the chef can fix the meal in per your request.

a spot! Very appreciative of a truly west indian experience. From the decor to music to menu. Not watered down at all. The service is top notch and super attentive. Really enjoyed that. I had almost everything vegeteranian on the menu and it was all delicious. Best stew peas in Atlanta hands down lol. I actually have not seen stew peas anywhere! I liked the extra touches to the cocktails as well. A great place to celebrate something or have a really nice dinner.

Yelp
Always a vibe. Always good service. The food and drinks are also consistently good. I would ask for Titi, the bartender. She's great and makes awesome drinks. I would also let everyone know that since the pandemic, prices have gone up SIGNIFICANTLY. So if you're used to their prices when they first opened, they're no longer the same. Outside of that, it's an enjoyable time.

Yelp
I loved everything about this establishment, it is a complete Vibe! Delicious food, great service, cool decor, and tunes that make you dance in your seat. I dined here in early November and enjoyed each dish and cocktail I ordered. The prawns and coco bread appetizer are very filling, I was almost too full to eat my entree, definitely recommend ordering but only eating half if you're dining solo. The salmon was cooked to perfection and the sauce brought it to a new level. I'm looking forward to returning.

Yelp
Upscale cigar bar with great friendly vibes.. came for Roddy White birthday dinner party and the atmosphere was lively and the waiters did a great job accommodating a 20+ party. The food was great. Most of the party got the fish. I loved the fish just didn't like the bones. The lobster Mac n cheese was a hit for me. The drinks were made strong and were really good. The cigar side was nice also. They have a full bar and good top shelf liquors. I didn't smoke a stingiest but I indulged in the many whiskey's they had. They had a special Basil Hayden punch they made that was awesome. Check out the pictures and tell me what you think!

Yelp
A red velvet rope greets you! Alrighty then. Giving club vibes. It's Sunday so you walk right in, no reservations needed. Low lighting, red velvet couch's, half booth seating is a little awkward. Good music but it gets louder as the night goes on so be prepared to talk loud. But I'm here for the food so let's get to it, Wings- good but a little sweet for me. I prefer a spicy kick not a sweet one. Oysters - these were delicious and my favorite dish! Oxtail lo mien- it's their signature dish. I think it needs more flavor. Salmon- good Cassava- very rich and yummy Take note- this place is expensive considering where it is and what you get.

Yelp
I had dinner here on 8/21/21 and really enjoyed it!! I thought the food was great and the service was as well! Continent serves a fusion of African and Caribbean inspired cuisine. The atmosphere is upscale, with upbeat music playing, that almost gives the restaurant a club vibe - perfect for a special occasion with a group of friends! We found out about Continent through their article on Eater. We booked a reservation for 4 through Resy. When we got there we waited for our table to be ready at the bar next door while we enjoyed a craft cocktail. The host came in and got us and took us to our table. The entire evening we had great service, including a visit from the Chef himself to ask how everything was. For our drinks and food we had: DRINKS *Hibiscus Moët Martini *Bramble-Berry Julep *Call Me Old Fashioned FOOD *Yard Man Oysters *Oxtail Lo Mein *Pan Seared Salmon *32 oz. Tomahawk Ribeye *Cassava Au Gratin *Fried Brussel Sprouts Everything we had we really enjoyed! The only recommendation I would have would be to make sure you share everything with your fellow diners so you all get to experience more dishes. I would definitely recommend Continent!

Yelp
I'm at 4-stars here. The price point is the only hang up I have. But I'm not against spending a little more especially for the level of service I received. I was on a date with my honey-dip and we shared oysters, potato cakes, whole fried snapper, and grilled chicken. For me, the star of the show was the rice and beans that came with the chicken. Everything else was good as well but the rice and beans had me scraping the plate. I'm a country boy from Atlanta so don't judge me! The drink menu seemed interesting but I stuck with my guns and just drank bourbon on the rocks. It was go to as well for the cigar I had later. The establishment, the staff, and the feng shui are top notch. The environment *felt* upscale and gave me confidence that the nice clothes I put on weren't in vain. Parking lot seemed like it could be a cluster due to the lounge next door. Last thing - you'll want to make a reservation to dine here. It's where we are these days. You can't just pop up unannounced and think you'll get served. Gotta stay two steps ahead!

Yelp
The ambiance of the restaurant is nice. The servers were attentive & very sweet. The drinks were good. We orders wings & mussels as an appetizer. The wings were good. The mussels were awful. Super small. I get more mussels from Aldi & Publix. They tasted like they were in a tomato based broth. The salmon was tasty. The chicken wasn't good. The rice and peas were mashed together. The tomato and cucumber side were tasty. Overall our bill was $243 including gratuity. Definitely not worth it. We won't be back.

Yelp
I am EXTREMELY disappointed. We had a reservation for 10 people and 7:30 (not only were we on time) but once we walked through the door we waited 2 mins to be greeted and seated. Once seated; our waitress took our drink orders and explained the menu and what her recommendations were. Now we did move our seats (as we were all coupled and wanted to sit near our spouses. We were all sitting (girls/boys at first). (And understandably the waitress had a little attitude but I understood her process of how she kept track of who ordered what). Once everyone was officially seated our waitress came by and took our orders (mind you at this point we're still waiting for our alcoholic drinks to arrive). Finally the drinks arrived about 30 mins after being seated. At this point the entire party of 10 proceeded to give their appetizer & main course meals. The oxtail lo mein was out, I decided to order the pan seared salmon but it was not available, so after some debating I went with the lamb shanks but then those became unavailable. (Side note) I am a foodie! And for those of you, that love food, when you have a taste for something and the waitress repeatedly comes back every 10/15 minutes later that it's not available, not once, but twice! You become frustrated (which is where I was at this point. Because now we have been here almost an hour and a half). I purposely didn't eat anything since my 12PM lunch because I knew I was coming here to have dinner. So, with certain main course items, not being available, my husband and I were forced to order the spiced, lamb chops (yes, the appetizer) because the lamb shanks, the pan seared salmon, was not available in the main course. We added the lobster mac & cheese, the fried brussels sprouts, and the spinach as our sides. (We basically had to create our meal)!! I was not the only one who was unhappy 8 out of 10 people were not happy with their order. Either it was wrong, the food was cold, or they were still waiting!! we asked for the manager; she came over and apologized, informing us that " they had Wu-Tang & Busta Rhymes" there on Thursday and they had run out of a lot of the items (we"re now 2 hours into waiting for our food). She did offer us two rounds of complementary shots (and then once we received all of our food, we got complementary jerk chicken (which was dry)). Now here is how they can better customer service. (because honestly speaking, the food was great). However, when you have horrible customer service, it makes you not want to return to a restaurant which is now how I feel. I will never go back based off of how horrible the customer service, wait time, how slow the kitchen was. The kitchen needs to inform their waiter/waitresses of what is in stock for that night (communication is key)! Although it was great that the manager offered complementary items; it would have been better to know upfront what was/was not in stock. At the end of the night the manager did offer a 10% discount on everyone's bill. However, I feel there were too many grave mistakes and that more should have been done because each couple was spending $150+. By the end of the night we ended up actually getting our food eating and leaving within 45 mins. In total, we spent 3.5 hours at a restaurant that max should have been 2.5/3 if we were conversing. Lastly, like I said, the food was great, however, I will never go back because of the lack of customer, service, and time management of others. I also want to note this happen on a Sunday night!!

Yelp
If you have any type of allergies to peanuts I suggest you not eat here. I had the continent salad and jerk chicken wings (which on the menu it doesn't say it contains peanuts) and I ended up having an allergic reaction and being extremely sick the entire night. The waiters tried to explain that there was not peanuts in either meal but both myself and a friend I was eating with had an allergic reaction, it could have been cross contamination but these situations should be taking more seriously. Update: I did speak to a manager, I was uneasy about eating the food I had to take home. She was very accommodating and polite and apologized. She rectified the situation very well.

Yelp
Probably one of my favorite Cigar Lounges in Atlanta, and yes it rivals Fellaship‼ Honestly, the food is way better than Fellaship, not even a competition. Escovitch a nice touch on the lobster, I think my lobster was fried to hard. It was hard to get to the meat. But overall I liked the dish. The loser next to me got a Salmon and Brussel sprouts, not a exciting choice at all. It was good tho Nice selection of Cigars, good DJ can't go wrong with Continent if you looking for a Mildly Chill vibe.

Yelp
I came across an article about this restaurant earlier in the year and couldn't wait to try it. Once Continent opened I was there! There is free parking in the parking lot. The restaurant is very intimate. Dimly lit and has a nice ambiance. The music is always a nice vibe. Great for date night. The cigar bar is closed off from the rest of the restaurant which is a plus. I definitely recommend making a reservation prior to coming. I've been here twice and I can say I haven't been disappointed. From the service to the drinks and the food, everything has been good! The oysters, lamb chops, prawns are all great starters. The Escovitch Lobster main course is to die for!! I can't wait to return to try more menu items!

Yelp
I like this place. It's not somewhere I would go all the time but it's definitely nice. Very cozy and grown adult setting/vibe. Mature place. Very clean and great service. Enjoyed the drinks the waiter was pleasant. They had vegan options which were great. I had vegan Rasta pasta very hot and flavorful nice portions. The cigar room was separated from the dinner area which is a plus. Free parking as well. 10/10

Yelp
This place was nice, the restaurant was very clean and I love the atmosphere. The waitress was spectacular. The food was good. My only issue with this place is price. This restaurant was way to expensive and not that much portions. The lobster Mac and cheese was 20$ and the Cup was smaller than my hand. Be prepared to spend some money when you go here.

Yelp
It was our 15th year anniversary and my husband chose this restaurant for our evening date. We started with the Yard Man Oysters. Fresh off the heels of a New Orleans trip, I'm ordering oysters whenever I see them. These did not disappoint. The were a mouth full due to the topping but the flavors were on point with the tender oysters. We both ordered the Continent Punch for a great experience. Our waitress was great and told us how it is intended to work. I appreciate that. The Chargrilled Chicken came with rice and beans and a cucumber/tomato salad. It was delicious. The sauce that came with the chicken reminded me of a Caribbean version of eating Peruvian roasted chicken with Aji sauce. Really nice and Smokey. My husband has the Lamb Shank. It was tender and cooked perfectly, paired with sautéed spinach and a cassava au gratin!!! That cassava dish was rich in coconut flavor and creamy. It was super different but easy to eat. We were pleasantly surprised. Overall we loved it. The decor was nice, the staff was attentive and asked would be we staying for the cigar lounge. This would be a great dinner/Night out date. Reminiscent of the Red Rooster/Ginny's experience in Harlem. We will be coming back for the cigar lounge one day. Give it a go!

Yelp
Fantastic establishment for dinner. Customer service was great...the food was OUTSTANDING!. Had Lamb Chops, Whole Snapper, Vegan Rasta Pasta, Brussel sprouts, Macaroni and Cheese and Dessert. The flavors were incredible. Atmosphere is upscale. And...then went to the Cigar Lounge for an after dinner cigar and cocktails. Loved this vibe and Food. I HIGHLY recommend (great place for a date). Also, there was security on property, made me feel safe even though the area was nice. It was an extra touch. The food was Outstanding.....

Yelp
This place is for the grown and sexy!! It's intimate and perfect for date night! We ordered the pepper shrimp, fried red snapper, and Mac and cheese! Everything was delicious!! The Mac and cheese was indulgent, the pan fried snapper had this addicting curry sauce, and the pepper shrimp was perfect. We also ordered cocktails which were perfection! The service was amazing. Our server was attentive, friendly, and helpful. I hope we get her again next time we come. She was Jamaican so gave us her recommendations for some of their Jamaican dishes. This place is such a vibe. Make sure you checkout the cigar lounge next door!!

Yelp
I came here with a group of friends to have dinner and drinks. We arrived early so we sat in the Cigar Bar until the rest of our party arrived. I ordered a drink at the bar as we waited. The vibe in the Cigar bar was great so some of us decided to stay in the area and order food. I ordered the Continent burger $20 (impossible meat). This was the BEST Vegan burger I have tasted!!! It was flavorful and juicy with crispy edges. I don't know how the Chef got crispy edges on a vegan burger but they did. Kudos to the chef for the great food and to management for great service we received from your staff. I will definitely come back.
