The 10 Best Torta Restaurants In LA - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Cook’s in Monterey Park does things a little differently. Their warm housemade bread is closer to ciabatta, and there are plenty more filling options than the traditional milanesa and asada (although they have those, too). At this casual sit-down spot, a torta can come with blackened cajun fish, BBQ pulled pork, or salty bacalao (cod), which tastes like the best-ever version of tuna casserole. The menu includes nearly 20 options, but the unique bacalao—which pops with roasted garlic, sauteed peppers, and olives—might be our favorite." - sylvio martins

Cook’s Tortas - Review - Monterey Park - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Unlike many other spots on this guide, the bread at Cook’s in Monterey Park is handmade every day, and doesn’t resemble the fluffy telera rolls that most torta shops use. The bread here is actually more similar to a ciabatta roll and is the perfect vehicle for their bacalao torta. This fishy sandwich consists of spreadable salted cod that pulls apart like delicate shredded beef. If intense fishiness sets off alarms in your head, fear not because the saltiness is never overpowering. In fact, the bacalao really complements the sandwich’s mayo and buttery potatoes that add nice texture to the sandwich - along with bits of roasted garlic, sauteed peppers, and green olives for a great briney finish. Overall, this torta feels like a homemade fish casserole smeared inside a bread roll, and has us rethinking how great a fish sandwich can really be." - Sylvio Martins

10 Delicious Things to Eat in Monterey Park, California | Eater LA

"Inside the small Cook’s Tortas, I find a massive menu of roughly 25 sandwiches plus a dozen or more sides, salads, desserts, and daily agua frescas, making it much more than just meat and bread. The selection ranges from classic carne asada to achiote-rubbed cochinita pork and breaded cutlets for milanesas, which helps explain the place’s broad appeal and why the family-owned restaurant has just signed up to franchise with new locations across the country — it feels like this original could have a big decade ahead." - Eater Staff

Yelp
I absolutely love Cook's Tortas. I used to frequent this spot often before I moved out of MPK. My favorites are the Bombero and Milanesa paired with a lovely glass of their fruit drinks and potato salad. MmmMmm! Parking is a little slim when it's busy, but service is usually pretty good. The restaurant itself is a little on the small side.

Yelp
A little pricey but so is everything right now am I right? The service was too notch, friendly and fast. We tried the " mojito"pork was delish and the sweet onions and garlic sauce flavored perfectly with it. Sweet potato fries were crispy and had the perfect salt ratio. My coworkers had the al pastor torta and the bombero. They both enjoyed them. I like the way the menu is laid out with your choice of beef, pork, chicken etc in matching color All of the sandwiches can be wrapped in lettuce. They say their meat is never frozen Each torta was about $17

Yelp
These tortas are made to order just like Jersey Mike's, so when you want that Latin flare come by. They've added empanadas and desserts and agua frescas. The chicken place next door has made getting to cooks difficukt but they have a better parking lot. Clean restrooms too. Don't know if they have WiFi. Favorite tortas are the Cuban the one with shrimp and the one with all veggies. Enjoy!

Yelp
Been coming here for a while and it's still as delicious as the first time I visited. They offer a great selection of sandwiches with different types of meats and they also have a few vegetarian options. I love their macaroni salad and their aguas frescas. The staff is always nice and they are fast to get their customers fed. The restaurant is small but they offer outside seating and to go. I would recommend you give the a try. The Bombero is my favorite.

Yelp
In the mood for sandwiches, we ordered ham and turkey with cranberry sandwiches, both were delicious! Also got side of macaroni and potato salad, unfortunately both needed a little bit more seasoning!

Yelp
Wanted a sandwich, but wanted something outside of American deli or a Banh mi. Found this spot that had endless variations of tortas! Upon arrival it has ample parking which is a plus and by walking up I can see their menu on their wall already. Fun! Ordered the cucumber agua Fresca, la diabla with the pineapple orange coconut side, and the al pastor with the potato salad. Really enjoyed the agua Fresca, really refreshing and not overly sweet. The pineapple orange coconut was like a nice palate cleanser, it was very fresh, I really enjoyed it, will be making this at home :P Now down to the sandwich, the torta bread is a mixture of ciabatta with focaccia. It was so soft not dense at all like other places that I have tried. Their bread is what made it stick out to me. The al pastor was so juicy, with a hint of spice and bits of pineapple. I don't know if you can tell, but I love pineapple! La Diabla wasn't what I expected it to be, but the chicken itself was very tender. I thought it would be spicy but the peppers kinda got lost. Will come back again to try the other frescas and tortas!

Yelp
Ooof, the prices are not for the weak. I came with my sister and ordered 3 tortas, sweet potato fries as sides, and two mexican cokes. The total was $70. I think its a bit much for 3 tortas with a side and drinks but I suppose inflation is hitting hard. The order takes about 20mins when we ordered it to go so they must be making it pretty fresh. This place is probably more upscale than other places because it is about $19 per sando. The flavors were all there and the sweet potato fries were decent but this is definitely a treat yourself place. It can be a bit oily though since the oil bled through the bag. Regardless, I'd come back only in a blue moon.

Yelp
What I Ordered: -Shrimp Po' Boy #28 $18.71 Side of Ham & Cheese Macaroni Salad My first time at Cook's in over a year. I often pass by Cook's going down Atlantic, but it's been a minute. I happened to be at Shakey's across the street and wasn't feeling Shakey's. With the Wife's permission, I came over to Cook's for a torta. The Shrimp Po Boy was pretty good. It wasn't as good as the ones I've had in New Orleans, but it was pretty dang good. I saved half for the wife and she liked it as well. I will have to get her to come to Cook's in person next time. I was told that the Ham & Cheese Macaroni Salad was popular. I wasn't a fan. The noodles were soggy and too wet not to mention there was too much mayonnaise. I wouldn't recommend this side. I've been to Cook's twice now and both tortas were great. I'm looking forward to coming back again soon. Pro Tip: Pay Cash and Save $. I saved $0.72 on the Po'Boy.

Yelp
I bookmarked Cook's Tortas back when they used to write their sandwich descriptions on a chalkboard. It's been long since abandoned and here I was trying it for the very first time. I thought sharing 3 tortas would be fitting for a first time situation. I ordered the following: -la diabla #666 ($18.99): mayo, grilled chicken breast, jalapeño, chile de arbol, habanero-guacamole, grilled queso fresco, black beans -carne asada #5 ($18.99): mayo, grilled beef, pico de gallo with jalapeños, avocado, lettuce + sour cream -bbq pulled pork #40 ($18.99): mayo, bbq pulled pork, coleslaw with red onion avocado sauce A lil pricey, however, the sandwiches are a bit longer than your typical torta. And each sandwich does come with a side (ham & cheese macaroni, potato salad, fruit salad, fries, etc). I did not heed the warning and enthusiastically bit into La Diabla, nearly singeingi off my ear hairs. It Is indeed spicy. Not spicy, but SPICY. I wish I could handle spice better because I feel like La Diabla sounds like tasty party. Of the 3, I liked #40 best because this was a very good bbq pulled sandwich - the bbq wasn't too overpowering and the coleslaw offset the sweet bbq taste. To be honest, what pulls each sandwich together is the freshly baked bread. It's this soft, pillowy bread that is the perfect vessel for all torta concoctions. Go wild. Choose what sounds good to you and I'm 100% sure it'll be a top tier torta.

Andy V.

Yelp
Meat was delicious but cold, very little avocado, 1/2 order of fries. I don't mind paying good money for good food. Unfortunately this was disappointing, has potential if the food was consistent.

Yelp
I came here craving a proper Mexican torta and left mad I wasted my appetite. Who in their right mind makes a torta on ciabatta bread? A real torta needs a fresh bolillo period. This was like ordering tacos and getting them on pita bread. And the "hot sauce"? Please. It had about as much kick as tap water. I don't know if they were afraid of chilies or thought it was just for decoration, but it was flavorless and sad. If you love authentic Mexican food, do yourself a favor and skip this place. My taste buds are still in mourning. This wasn't a torta it was a crime against Mexican cuisine.

Yelp
I tried Cooks Tortas for the first time today and it was amazing! The Tortas that are a part of the lunch special are the perfect size for a hearty meal without being overly full. I got the cubano and enjoyed the flavor, though I would say that it is not the traditional cubano flavor. I believe there was added hoagie dressing which gave it a good garlicky tang. I ordered online, and while it was not done on time as expected, it was only a few minutes late and the staff were pleasant and knowledgeable about the order status. I will say, I did try to call to be sure they were open as it's New Year's Eve, but no one answered the phone listed on Google. There is a lot of seating inside, particularly for groups of 4 or less. There is also some seating outside, so bring your dog!

Yelp
Stopped by here for a quick dinner before heading to see a movie. I ordered 1 carne asada taco, 1 Al pastor taco, and a mojito torta (#15). The tacos were delicious. They had all the flavor without being too greasy. I added the spicy salsa to the tacos and it was so good! The sandwich was also delicious. The bread was soft and paired well with the pork filling. It was a little sweet for my taste because of the sweet onions and sauce, so I added the spicy salsa and it balanced out well. I had the potato salad on the side and I really liked the balance of dill and mustard. The potatoes were also tender but not too soft. A really great meal for a reasonable price.

Yelp
Cook's is by a sloped street that you can access from the main road or from the back. They have a private lot that usually have space. You can order ahead and they offer loads of customization options. They have a good amount of seating although most times I've gotten food to-go. The fiod had always arrived on time and staff are nice. The tortas are delicious and flavorful. The tortas are big enough to fill you up. I've yet to try them all but I want to! Their menu is definitely leaves you with choice-paralysis. The fries are just okay, nothing too special just soft. I did like their arrow con leche. The light sweetness counters the savoriness. Any time I'm craving a torta, this is the place I go to since it's one of few that actually specializes in tortas.

Yelp
Used to come here years ago when I worked over here and the Bombero has never let me down. The meat is tender full of flavor and I love their ham macaroni as a side. The cucumber line agua Fresca is the best as well. That whole meal cost about $30, but a treat once in a while is not gonna kill me. You definitely need to give this place to try.

Yelp
Stop #5 on our Friday Sammy Tour! Was craving a Cuban so that's how we landed on Cook's for this Friday's Sammy Tour destination. Parking: Plenty of parking is available in their lot. We were one of maybe three cars in the lot for lunch. I assume weekends are busier. Ambiance: Casual dining with seating spread along it's open dining area. The table are well spaced out so you never feel like you're too close to other parties. Our food: -The Cubana: Tasty, packed with meats. I ordered the 7 inch, which might hae been enough to share but why do that when I'm hungers?! haha . My combo came with a side. I opted for sweet potato fries as my side. The other options were potato salad, pasta salad, and a few other sides that didn't appeal to me. The bites that had the pickled onions and mustard were delicious, just not spread out evenly to get full flavor in every bite. -BBQ Pulled Pork: My husband got the BBQ pulled pork sandwich. A little too sweet and saucy for me but I appreciated the amount of pulled pork they provided. On the counter there are several desserts like cake, cookies, and pastries available for purchase. Along with agua frescas to accompany your meal. This was our second visit to Cook's. There is a multitude of tasty options available on their big menu. My first visit I just couldn't decide on a torta so I opted for a salad. Happy to be back to try something new. Service: Extremely friendly. Patient while we changed our minds on sides and debating on ordering a dessert to go. Brand new: We were informed (verbally and read on the TV display) that Cook's is now open until midnight and serving tacos on Friday and Saturday. Adding that to the list of late night snack options.

Yelp
I'm sorry cooks torta. After 10+ years of loving you and driving an hour out of our way to get to you, we have to admit the price does not match the taste and quality. Size didn't change, Taste didn't change, ingredients seem like they didn't change. What was once free hot green sauce now costs 85 cents extra. Tortas now cost 8$ more. $19 for a torta is not worth the cost for me. The business is clearly doing well for it to survive this long and customers are willing to pay the higher prices. One torta can easily feed 2 people if those 2 people also brought their own bag of chips. Ordering system is now through kiosk but if the lines get too long they'll start taking orders at the counter to speed things up.

Yelp
Been coming to Cook's for years, Cook's has always been ahead of the game and is still unique in its options, and definitely one of the best sandwiches in LA. And ive had a lot of sandwiches. Brings together some amazing flavors and a ton of variety. Queso Fresco, Veggie, Shrimp Po Boy and Carne Asada are my faves, and the side dishes are also amazing. Strawberries and cream will always have a special place in my heart
google avatar

Pris V.

Yelp
Pros: Service was nice, the cashier was very knowledgeable and helpful in the process of ordering. He let us know the more popular tortas as well as the sides they offered! Our tortas were good, we both got beef ones. I got the fries as a side which were not the right move, the potato salad is way better. Cons: Tortas were pricey but I get it and the overall establishment smelled like bad plumbing. I went into the restroom and it was a nightmare. It stunk SO bad and the floor was completely wet and everything was dirty, I had to really go so I sucked it up. They need to fix this problem, the entire restaurant has that lingering bad-plumbing-poop smell.

Yelp
Yikes! Not sure how I feel about this updated review but it must be done. Modern times, post Covid and the current state of inflation is devastating to everybody. But I was kind of stunned after today's adventure back to Cooks Tortas. I believe I used to pay $7.99 for a torta here back in the days. It was not cheap back then but I would splurge on a meal here once in awhile because it was a fresh, great tasting, and worth the extra bit of cash I saved up. Today's order was for 2 husky combos and a torta a la carte: Total Damage $66.48... holy mole. Not to mention they forgot one of my sweet potato fries. Or maybe it was included together in one bag and that was that. I did not realize that the husky combos comes in a smaller torta then the a la carte option since the torta sizes were completely different. Also, compare to the old school photo to the current. Not sure where all the protein went? It hurts to say this but I don't think I can recommend this place anymore just based on the current prices and portions of the food. The F&B industry is a difficult one and especially in todays current economy, I understand the owners decisions to keep himself in business and kudos to that!

Yelp
This is my favorite spot for sandwiches in LA. I have to get one whenever I'm in the neighborhood. I've seen a lot of reviews complaining about the prices. Do I think the prices are a bit high for a sandwich? Yes. But do I think it's worth the price? Absolutely! The quality and flavor are always top notch. I've tried other sandwiches places at a similar price point, but this is the only sandwich shop I consistently come back to. The tortas are creative and unique rather than traditional. My personal favorite is the molcajete. The beef is always tender and the salsa is delicious. My second favorite is the bombero. I've tried a bunch of other flavors and they've all been great, but those two are the stand outs for me. I also love their agua frescas. The inside has a lot of seating, but this seems to be more of a to-go spot. I always do curbside pick-up, which is super convenient. The staff is always nice when they bring me the food. I definitely recommend you try this place if you're in the area.
google avatar

Sara D.

Yelp
I've been to cooks a long time ago and I used to really enjoy dining here. But this past time, I didn't realize how much price has gone up and the quality of the sandwich was missing. Mine was pretty dry while other sandwiches were drenched in sauce. First time I experienced inconsistency here!
google avatar

Grace B.

Yelp
Food and service was amazing. Definitely a gourmet torta at $18 each. Worth the cost. Packed with lots of meat and could be shared with two (ladies, not men :)
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Probably the best sandwich place around Monterey Park! I truly missed out years of trying their food, if I didn't look it up I would have not known how amazing their sandwiches are! I always go for the Cubana which is one of their popular choices but this time I wanted to try their shrimp po boy. I gotta say it's probably my alternative if I don't want anything with too much meat. It has a great amount of shrimp, flavor, and crunch. I really love this place and recommend trying it at least once if ever you're in the area.
google avatar

Jennifer B.

Yelp
The food is amazing! It isn't that everything is seasoned well. It's that you can taste every little bit of the Torta. I got the number 40, pulled pork, all the tastebuds danced! My husband got the number 50, the Ranchito- every bite was a delight. Service, outstanding. Friendly personable. The restaurant is clean and very well laid out. I can't say enough about this place!
google avatar

Steve S.

Yelp
The food (ingredients, taste, and service) is awesome but the price does not justify. For a meager sandwich with a side of potato salad literally one bite amount and a large soda with 15% tax came out just shy of $30. For that kind of price, might as well go to Langer's in Downtown LA for their #19, which is a bigger and more appetizing sandwich.
google avatar

Jason C.

Yelp
My wife said 10/10 for this place and here's why: they use the minimum amount of good quality to ingredients to get a bombass taste. No fluff. The taste is very balanced. She wanted to buy a sandwich to take home but didn't want to pay another $20 for it (only complaint she had). The servers are quick and nice. From my perspective, I really appreciate the diverse flavors they have and also that you can get a dessert as a side. They have a big lot. Interior is very modern with chill vibes.
google avatar

Andy T.

Yelp
*Review based on food pick-up from mobile application* I ordered on a Wednesday around 6 PM. I was running about 8 minutes late from the ETA provided on the application. Despite that, the pickup process was easy and straightforward. There were still plenty of parking available in their private parking lot. For my order, I got the Shrimp Po'boy Torta with a side of fries. For the sandwich, there were big pieces of shrimp throughout each bite. They also added a generous amount of mayo as well. I thought the shrimp, mayo, and lettuce combination blended together well. For the fries, the seasoning was a bit lacking. Some of the fries tasted very bland, while few had seasoning on it. I did feel the portion of the fries was a bit small. While the torta tasted great, I think the order was a bit overpriced. The order came out to be $20.

Helen S.

Yelp
Staff is very particular with guests. Showing favor to those who appear wealthier than me. Seriously?!! $20 for a torta?!! Good torta, not worth $20!! Just wish the work staff can smile more often. Not the best vibe, unfortunately.
google avatar

Yelp
This is gourmet, made from scratch and fresh tortas, salads, desserts, sides, and aguas. Whenever in the area we stop to treat ourselves! Wish you would open a Cook's in Whittier Check the menu and prices before visiting. Great casual eatery!
google avatar

Catherine L.

Yelp
The food here is unbelievably good!!!! I've been here many times and never had a torta that I didn't like. The bread is super soft, the meat is always juicy, and their sauces/toppings complement the sandwiches really well. I'm also a huge fan of their drinks. The horchata and the watermelon aguas frescas are both refreshing and flavorful. The horchata is especially cinnamony, which I love. My usual order is a carne asada torta, and it never disappoints. I do agree that the prices are high here, but I'm more than willing to pay for the food. The service can be a little slow if you order in person. Overall, this restaurant is one of my favorites and it deserves all the love it gets

Yelp
Cook's Tortas : Every time I eat Cook's, I crave to go back a second time the day after. ESPECIALLY their queso fresco torta because it is THAT addicting. For those who need meat in their sandwich, you won't even miss it when you get the queso fresco. 10/10 Side Potatoes: creamy and well seasoned 9.2/10 Ham &Mac and cheese: my daughter steals mine! 8.8/10 Corn cake: 9.5/10 not too sweet, and incredibly It feels comforting and welcoming when you walk in, and the service is like you are part of their family. If you want a filling meal that you will think about long after you finish, go get a torta meal at @cookstortas 1944S Atlantic Blvd Monterey Park, California 91746 USA Instagram : @thegourmetsketch

Yelp
Cook's was the one place I'd always rave to people when they come up to LA. Fell in love with the bombero almost 12 years ago, back when each torta was ~$8 with a side. Perfect price and portion. Pretty much ate there at least twice a month. Moved away from LA and came back for a visit craving a bombero. Now - 12 years later - portion is the same, torta still tastes great, but damn I cannot in good faith reccomend it at almost $20 a torta. Yep I get it, inflation, tariffs, supply chains, covid, bird flu yadda yadda yadda. But $20, even in 2025, can still feed you plenty.
google avatar

Sofia P.

Yelp
This is my favorite sandwich place! Every time I'm nearby or in town, I have to stop by and get the shrimp po boy! The sides and agua frescas are good too! This time I got sweet potato fries and chia seed agua fresca ( I forgot the flavor but still good). I definitely recommend trying the shrimp po boy! The service is good, you pay first and order and they'll bring it out to you. You can also take it to go. Ambiance is chill.

Yelp
My friend and I were in the area and she told me that this restaurant has the best Tortas in town. We arrived at the restaurant and we were greeted by the manager. My friend told him that it was my first time there and he was very helpful. He came around from the register and went over the entire menu. He also told us that the restaurant is a freezer free restaurant and everything is homemade. The bread and drinks are fresh and homemade as well. He even provided samples of the Aguas Frescas which was very good!! Onto the tortas; they were absolutely amazing!! I ordered the #17 and my friend ordered the #3. I really enjoyed the bread because you can taste that it was fresh. I only wished that piece of chicken breast that was in my sandwich was a bit larger. Other than that, it was really good. I really enjoyed the ambiance and the restaurant was clean as well. I also noticed that the door was never closed for a long period of time because people were constantly coming in to order. I will be back to try something new.

Yelp
Great food bad service . My call was being forwarded. Was trying to place a phone order before they closed and was not able to get through. Sucks!

Yelp
tried this place out since it was open til midnight on saturday. I got the cubana and it was really dry. The only sauce on the side was ketchup and that didn't really help. The small french fries had a stale crunch. The 6-inch sub had a gourmet price ($20). Service was quick as there was only one person in front of me. it was a to-go order. the staff of 8-10 was just chillin and chatting. If you don't mind spending a luxury price and tasting the different options.. then I guess it's fine.

Yelp
Ah, the tortas. So many tortas. I'd say there are a few tier levels for the different varieties I usually order. Tier 1: Ranchito and Cubana. Both are delicious with a great synergy of ingredients. Love the slightly Mexican take on the classic Cuban sandwich. Tier 2: El Diablo. When I want a little more spice. I love habanero. It's quite spicy, but not extreme. Tier 3: Molcajete and Al Pastor. The molcajete sauce is nice, though the sandwich is more simple than others here. The Al Pastor is also very good. Tier 4: Shrimp Po' Boy. Obviously not a classic or authentic torta flavor. But it's yummy. Obituary: Apparently the Mole Verde torta is no longer available, due to a few imported ingredients becoming too pricey. The sauce was delicious. Their agua frescas are also great quality and very refreshing, especially the cucumber lime and pineapple mint. I considered giving 4 stars because the sandwiches are kinda pricey. But everything tastes great and I can't complain, really.
google avatar

Sandra P.

Yelp
Haven't been here in a few years. Stopped by for a torta and was not disappointed. I ordered the Bombero which is made with a seasoned grilled steak, creamy red sauce and avocado. I added a cucumber-lime agua fresca to make it an extra special treat. Very good. Just be aware my bill was $24. Still think it's too pricey for a sandwich. But here I am again!

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic tortas but with a variety them this is the place for you. Plenty of parking in their lot. No outdoor patio but plenty of seating inside. Clean restaurant with friendly service. My usual it #5 carne asada which comes with Mayo, grilled beef, pico de gallo with jalapeno, avocado, lettuce sour cream. I really like his place because there's not to many torta shops in East LA. Give them a try. There's something for everyone.

Yelp
It's been a long while since I been back but had to take my hubby for his first time and he loved it! I got the shrimp po boy, Mac side, and guava strawberries drink and it so delicious! Just how I remember almost a decade ago since I been back. It was my go to when I lived in SGV and it fell off my radar but had to go again to relive my SGV memories with Cook's Tortas!

Yelp
Sorry, I didn't know! Thank you for helping our community and surrounding areas. But it would have been nice if you just explained nicely and not attack me. I would have apologized and updated my review, Elyan. Here at ~8:55 p.m. in Friday and I see someone cleaning but no one is answering the phone. And..they're closed! WTH

Yelp
What can say... Overpriced tortas... Just my opinion. The tortas are good but i have tried better tortas at a better price. Service was ok.

Yelp
Realized why I didn't come back since my last visit over 5 years ago. Gave it a second try for two reasons 1) my son LOVES tortas and 2) people seem to like this place. Let me tell you now .. NOT WORTH $80 for 3 tortas. The asada was cold and not seasoned The Cubana was basic. Did not have much flavor. The pulled pork tasted good but half my torta was just fat and no meat. I asked for no mayo but the coleslaw was oozing and dripping out. The fries were so soggy and obviously recooked after getting cold from being previously fried. The "side" of potato salad was literally one spoonful. Didnt even have flavor like if they were counting on the mayo to give it flavor. Only reason i gave it two stars is because they CLAIM to have everything made fresh including the bread. I get they are trying to be "gourmet" but I wouldn't come back. $80 for 3 under basic tortas NOPE!

Yelp
Been here a few years ago. They never disappoint. The cashier/server was so friendly; top-notch customer service. You have to try their cornbread and flan: moist, perfectly sweet, and delicious.

Yelp
Cooks Tortas man it is the a nuclear reactor dot com of Tortaland heaven. The Carne Asada torta is a meaty, avocado, oniony, kiss of flavors dancing in a stomach of a hungry fire breathing kaiju dragon. Sides are savory and unleashed on the average Torta hunter in search of the Holy Grail of Torta. Agua Fresca oooh yeah! Cold strawberry, lime or Orange Pina Colada made fresh in house. Come on y'all empanadas de dulce de leche or a creamy dreamy strawberry cheese empanada are a morning cup of coffee Genie in a bottle wish. A wash of cool green dining area and outside tables for those warm rom com nights.

Yelp
Food is so delicious. After years and years of coming here, the salads and sandwiches are still top notch. The restaurant is clean. You can order online or over the phone for pick up, just as easily as ordering in the restaurant. Everyone is super nice, and I'm glad that Cook's is around. People have mentioned the price, but inflation is real for people and businesses across the board. I don't mind supporting a great establishment that serves quality food and drinks.
