A Rainier tradition since 1946, known for blackberry pie and from-scratch comfort fare. Recommended in recent Mount Rainier dining roundups by Eater Seattle—perfect after a Paradise wildflower hike.

The entire atmosphere of this restaurant is great! We had the spinach dip appetizer which was very tasty. The blackberry salmon was the highlight of our dinner though! Portion sizes are very large and my husband and I split an entree. We finished the night off with the homemade blackberry pie and ice cream. They make their blackberry pie in house and you can absolutely tell!! I would highly recommend. Also the staff was so incredibly nice! I have nothing but great things to say about this restaurant.

We did not stay here but ate at the restaurant. The place has a nice atmosphere and the food was good compared to other local spots. Burger could've been a touch less done, the fries were super fresh and crunchy. We didnt try it but the blackberry pie is made in house and looked amazing. Not sure his name but the gentleman who served us (long mustache, friendly smile) was beyond professional and kind. He is the epitome of what great service that leaves a lasting memory looks like. Thank you!

We stayed for two nights in Muir cabin and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and upscale place to stay close to Mt. Rainier. Out of 20 hotels and airbnb's on our road trip, this little cabin is at the top of our list. The Muir cabin is set back in the woods for complete privacy and we didn't see anyone else the whole time we were there. Running right along next to the cabin is the most beautiful little creek which you can even hear inside. The cabin is well outfitted with everything needed including a washer/dryer. There's a nice large deck and even a hot tub out back! The cabin and surroundings are quiet, peaceful and immersed in nature. We'd go back in a heartbeat and they even offer early check-in for a small fee which we felt was well worth it. Lastly, we ordered a homemade pie to be delivered to the cabin for our arrival and it was delicious!

Love love love. The food was delicious! After a full day of hiking it is a must stop. The blackberry iced tea is so good! We had yummy burgers and amazing salmon. The garlic fries are so good as well! Highly recommended not only for the food but our waitress was such a sweetheart. We had a group of 6 and she was wonderfully attentive and fun, she even gave our kids duckies. Definitely will be returning, thank you!

Google
On our drive out of the park, we happened across this hidden gem of a restaurant. The beef stew was awesome, with hearty chunks of tender meat and carrots. The baked-goods, produced by their in-house bakery chef, were not to be missed: the blackberry pie was out of this world! Our hostess Becky was kind & friendly and took great care of us!

Google
I witnessed the glory of God's creation and now I am filled with blackberry pancakes. Great food, portions and sizes. I ate here the day before and after they stopped breakfast so half of this review isn't valid. The weakest point is oddly their sweets like their blackberry pie & cinnamon rolls / "copper tops", both of which were mid 5/10 and we didn't finish either. Definitely go here if its not so packed you can't get in. Way less crowded before main dinner hours

Had dinner at their cute and cozy restaurant The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and came in extraordinary generously large portions. Had Salmon with blackberry sauce that was marvelous, our friends had trout and pesto pasta which they loved, we were too excited for the entrees and forgot to take the pictures of them 😁We had such a great time here will definitely tell all my friends who are visiting Rainier to try this place.

First time to Mt. Rainier and the Copper Creek Inn is just a few minutes from the Nisqually southwest entrance to the park. Great location! And with limited options for restaurants in the area, the good food and friendly staff at the Copper Creek Restaurant was another plus to staying here. We stayed in the 2-room smaller suite, Roselea for two, above the restaurant. It was cozy and very clean and spotless. We loved it. No restaurant noise nor cooking smells which surprised me. After going up to Paradise and Longmire, both iconic park areas and very nice inns, but very crowded and expensive, I was so glad I made the choice to stay at Copper Creek Inn. In this suite there is a little fridge and microwave and coffee maker. They had a good selection of DVD’s if you want some evening screen entertainment. Also, free WI-FI which worked great. I highly recommend Roselea for 2 people, and they have several options for bigger cabins if that is what you need. Come and enjoy. Mt Rainier will not disappoint. It’s fabulous. Trails for every type of ability! Or just drive and enjoy all the viewpoints in the park.

Yelp
My son and I stopped on May 22nd for dinner and were seated immediately. We both had the clam chowder for an appetizer. Our entrees were the Copper burger and the Tuscan chicken sandwich. We both had local ciders with our meals. A blackberry milkshake to finish it off. All the food was delicious. Caroline FH provided excellent service and conversation. Rustic atmosphere with a small dining area. Portable restrooms or a flush toilet are available by going out the front and entering a kitchen access area. Seattle prices but in Ashford. There is no service fee, but parties of 6 or more are automatically tipped 20%. A small gift shop is included within the restaurant. Very limited parking.

Yelp
What an amazing place to family vacation/plan sweetheart getaway / or host a wedding/ baptism/church retreat/ work team building retreat! I guess you can tell we had an amazing getaway weekend at Copper Creek Inn. My husband and I have it on the calendar for next year as well. The property and cabins were very well maintained. The property was absolutely beautiful! Nestled away from the hustle and bustle of business! Did I mention the hot tubsss on site and many are hidden behind your cabin under beautiful set up!! We went last month June 2025 and the weather was a little chilly but the fire pits outside each cabin made for a romantic setting and marshmallows lol We were so awe stuck by the inside of the different cabins from one room to several rooms large enough for one or several family/families. The cabins have everything you need from large refrigerators/ stove / gas heat etc. All of the above were five starts!!! However, if we could give this lodge a 10 we would!!!! Because of the excellent service and attitudes of the staff was just amazing!!! We had the opportunity to meet the owners and other team leads and the staff professionalism, hospitality and pride in serving their guest definitely is a reflection of their owners excellent work ethics, down to earth personality and their vision for customer service at Copper Creek Lodge INN! From the owners to the staff friendliest and attention to our needs and us having a memorable stay were at the top of their list!!! In addition, to the service a 10 would definitely be warranted for the little cozy cafe down the street that goes with the lodge! The cafe was clean and the staff nice and oh that BLACKBERRY PIE was delicious!!!!!!!!!! No wander its consider their famous pie it was really good wish we could've taken it back on the plane lol however, I hate my two slices before even getting 30 minutes out it was so good and yes they have vanilla ice cream and other breakfast/lunch/ dinner on the menu at reasonable prices it's definitely a must visit! Finally, the last of why we would give Copper Creek Inn a 10 stars is the location!! It's located less than a mile to the Mt. Rainer State Park!!! I kid you not!!! Talk about a great location!!! It honestly don't get any better than that! The views were breathtaking and there was snow on the mountains! We have already made plans to go back and this time is Texans will bring thick jackets and winter clothe lol live and learn not every place is a 100% in June lol! I believe you'll get the idea lol this is definitely a gem you want to add to your bucket list now than later! Seriously it's worth the trip!!! You will leave feeling reconnected to family and friends, refreshed, rejuvenated, at peace, and ready to go back and start life without the load and stress you carried in! We are more than sure you/yall lol won't be disappointed by the Copper Creek Inn Team or the property / or the amazing memories you will make ! Hope this review helps I'm not big on reviews unless it's earned and they truly earned our time and review Way to go entire Team of Copper Creek Innin the military a high recognition for excellence service/attention to detail (s) we say Bravo Zulu it mean JOB WELL DONECOPPER CREEK INN TEAM!!! Thank you Thomas and Laura

Sat for 30 minutes and NOT ONE TIME WERE WAITED ON. no water, no menus and No food. No we will never bring our business back.

Yelp
Great people. Delicious food. We had such a nice sweet waitress who we enjoyed!!! Their blackberry everything (butter, pie, vinaigrette salad dressing) was to die for!!! All so yummy!! Little cafe right outside of Mt Rainer! We will be back!

Yelp
Loved it! We came here while staying at a local cabin to get a to go order to take back to our cabin. We stopped in here and it was so cute! It even had a little gift shop that we got a few things at to support local. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left everybody we came in contact with was absolutely amazing. They were so kind and helpful recommending different food to try. They have homemade bread that is so good. It comes with blackberry butter that is great. We will be back anytime we are in Ashford and can't wait to try something else.

Yelp
Three of us enjoyed lunch here on a Thursday in September. The seafood chowder, cheeseburger, Tuscan chicken sandwich, chicken strips and fries were all very good. The wild blackberry pie was the real deal. We liked it so much, we bought a whole pie to take home. The staff members were nice and friendly. The atmosphere was rustic and cozy. As my husband says, "It's great place for being in the middle of nowhere." Actually, if you're a hiker, it's not nowhere. Copper Creek Inn is less than ten minutes from the Ashford entrance to Mt. Rainier.

Yelp
After a day of hiking or just exploring Mt Rainier National Park, just outside the park you will find Copper Creek Inn. Nice atmosphere, good service and friendly staff. The food was delicious, if only I could eat more. I will attach pictures of the food I ordered. So delicious, stop in and grab yourself a bite. You won't regret it!

Yelp
What a wonderful dinner we had here at this small (10 tables, one counter) restaurant on the busy highway just west of Mt. Rainier National Park. The Chicken Parm with Fettuccine included two breaded chicken breasts cooked perfectly on top of a generous serving of fettuccine with a nice tomato sauce, plus a soft white bun and their in-house blackberry butter. It was the night's house special. The Seafood Chowder bowl was a 12 oz. bowl with a local sourced white fish, some clams (?), and potatoes in a white broth, plus the bun. The side salad included all sorts of carefully cut vegetables. We were greeted promptly, then seated within 15 minutes and ordered. The restaurant became very busy soon after but the amazing and positive staff worked hard to get everyone after us seated as soon as possible. Come early to avoid the rush. Closed on Tuesday and Wednesday it seems.

Yelp
Service was fantastic. Our waitress was very accommodating and quick to get us everything we needed. The food... was amazing. Easily the best we've had on our trip through the state. We had burgers, chicken fingers, and some kind of specialty chicken sandwich, which was delicious! The fried were banging, and we also had a side of the parm garlic fries, which were super yummy! We ended the meal with the brownie sundae, and it was huge! It was a quiet little restaurant right off the main road to the Mt Rainier entrance. It's definitely worth the stop, and cost less than most of the meals on our journey so far.

Yelp
We stayed in the Copper Creek Log Cabin which was such a delight - very spacious with so many thoughtful details that made the stay so comfortable. The private hot tub is the reason we originally booked this cabin and it was 100% worth it and really made our trip - it was awesome to be able to sit in the hot tub in the middle of a forest! There is very limited wifi, which was a pleasant surprise as it forced us to be more present. And of course, it was super accessible to Paradise. One thing to note - we didn't realize there would be a little kitchenette, which was actually very handy! Since we hadn't planned for that we ended up eating at the restaraunt attached to the Inn, which was not amazing and overpriced. So I'd highly recommend bringing your own ingredients and cooking if you want to save some money!

Yelp
What a wonderful little place outside Mt. Rainier. This gem has great home cooked comfort food. We were there for brunch. The place was packed and the service was spot on. Even though they were busy we still got constant attention. The coffee was excellent. I got the chicken fried steak breakfast, my wife got the Denver omelette. The food is served in large portions. My sister got the special and my brother-in-law got the Sunrise breakfast. Such a great experience. I recommend this place if you are hungry and need some great home cooking. Worth a stop going to Mt. Rainier.

Yelp
Great food great ambiance and make sure to get the pie with ice cream! Before a long day of hiking, we decided to fuel up here and it was the best decision ever. What a cute spot. It's exactly as you would want to find in this location. I had the chili which was delicious. We had the spinach, artichoke dip, and my boyfriend got a sandwich. Of course we had pie as well. Service was great. Everyone was very friendly and we had a very nice meal and a great experience here.

Yelp
Very few food options around this area, and the prices do reflect that. However, with that said, the food was good. Quaint place. Small, once it got further into dinner time, there were some people that were waiting for others to get up. I got the alfredo, it was good. Waitress recommended the cheesy bread with it, and she was right, the best part! One of my favorite parts was the custom cups! Nice touch!

Yelp
For what it's worth, I don't expect much in the way of great food in small towns. The wait was long: 40 mins to be seated, ~40 mins for food. They kept mentioning the Bison burger special, but they had run out, so it was disappointing. The blackberry lemonade was good, and the best thing was the mini loaf with blackberry butter (we bought some butter to go). The coconut shrimp was also good. Everything else left quite a bit to be desired. The chili was lukewarm, as was the seafood chowder. It needed something else, so I put Tabasco and pepper in it. My BLT was meh. All in all, go here for baked goods or if you're really hungry and have no other options. The outdoor bathroom was odd, but I get that it is what it is.

Yelp
Stayed in the area for a girls weekend getaway. The Copper Creek Inn was the cutest little stop for breakfast and dinner. Delicious food all around. The blackberry butter and syrup is amazing with pancakes. I loved the atmosphere and the service was fabulous.

Yelp
I've never had a bad meal here but have to time it right to avoid long waits & service sometimes sketchy. Restroom is in a haphazard place & only one available, so good luck if very busy. The one thing that is always a 5 star rating is their wild blackberry pie, only place I've found that tastes just like my mom's & other family & friends that know how to make an old fashion country style homemade wild blackberry pie of the PNW. Previous times dining here the hamburger I had was deluxe delicious, the breakfast perfection, and tonight I had their house special trout that was cooked to perfection. The house salad was tasty with a decent tasting thousand island on the side, the "mini bread loaf" looked more the size of a dinner roll but it was fresh baked & delicious with the berry infused whipped butter. The trout was moist & flaky, cooked perfect for texture & flavor although had some reddish spicy seasoning I was not too hot on although it brought out the flavor, should have came with a slice of lemon, but did ask for tarter sauce to tone it down, was tart but tasty so I'll have to try their fish & chips next time if I do come back to dine, roasted potatoes cooked perfect but could use some ketchup to bring out any flavor, over all the dinner plate could have used some "presentation", lol, but was a nice tasting meal with the salad. Coffee just ok, it was nice to have fresh chilled water not tainted with chlorine. And dessert topped it all off with a slice of wild blackberry pie a' la mode and took 2 full baked wild blackberry pies home, they are that good. As far as service tonight, walked in & felt invisible, took a long long time with both waitresses looking right past me & avoiding eye contact, finally a young man that also seem to ignore me finally approached me at the wait to be seated sign & grabbed menus & seated me. Then the wait for one of the waitresses to finally take my order, but once I listed off the full order plus pies, I was finally able to go to the restroom and when I got back the coffee & water were there waiting for me. She did bring the 2 pies I was taking home, kind of early for that, but she said she wanted to make sure no one else took them. The place was busy, but really, took awhile to get anyone's attention to ask about the WiFi I thought would help with the wait, but after I did my order things improved, and didn't take long to get my salad, and not much wait after I finished that & my meal came, same with dessert. She did check on me a couple of times, I was able to get some tartar sauce for the trout later, still had water but not asked for more coffee but I had enough thru the meal. Overall the food was very satisfying, but the service was obviously less responsive to me than I seen with all the other customers I noticed that had their orders taken quickly after they were seated, maybe just me looking like I was not going to spend a lot or tip much, my bill including the 2 pies was $109 plus I left a tip over 20%, but what ever. This is an iconic must stop place for anyone going to Mount Rainier, especially for the wild blackberry pie, I'm not asking to be treated special, just not being felt like I was less special, and tourists from all the world stopping here should not experience that either.

Yelp
Cute little diner with great customer service. Their special today was blueberry pancakes with blackberry sauce with eggs and bacon. We got the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon; biscuits and gravy with hash browns and eggs; the special; chicken fried steak; pancakes. Overall food was delicious, coffee was good (but a little weak), and service was great!
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
The best restaurant in all of Ashford, and this is after having tried all the restaurants in this town. The staff was so friendly, attentive, and professional, which was very different from our experiences at the other restaurants in Ashford. We got the fish and chips and burger. I liked the way they battered the cod and the burger meat was pretty juicy. Fries were pretty good too, but not that crispy. The blackberry pie really blew me away. I got it with ice cream because I was worried the blackberries would be too sour (I ate at Wildberry Restaurant the night before, and their blackberry pie was so sour), but they were just about ripe which made for a really great pie. I think it's fine with or without the ice cream. I also tried a glass of Huckleberry wine, and it was a very generous serving with the amount of liquid nearly filling to the rim. I like sweet wines, so this was perfect for me.

Yelp
This is a gem outside of the paradise entrance. I've had breakfast take out here twice. The food is fairly good and it seems they're known for their blackberry homemade goods. They also have a few gift shop items you can look at while you're waiting. I'll say that I'm not thrilled with the customer service.. Both times I've walked in, it's surprising that nobody greets or acknowledges me. There's no eye contact or "we'll be right with you". And each time it has taken them a few minutes to come to the register to see what I'm asking for.
google avatar

Yelp
We wanted to grab a late lunch before heading to Seattle. It was around 2pm and this place was poppin'! There was a wait, but I think we were seated in about 20 minutes. The waitress took our order soon after we were seated. I ordered the cheese burger in paradise and my husband got the beef stew. The cheese burger was okay and after adding some fresh red onions and tomatoes slices that came with it, it boosted the flavor. The beef stew was good. It was a little bland, but the meat was tender. The roll that came with the stew was amazing. Especially when you pair it with the blackberry butter.
google avatar

Yelp
Came in late afternoon after hiking - classic American dishes for fair prices. Highlights were the spinach artichoke dip with toast and the blackberry pie a la mode. The crust was warm and the filling was fresh and not overly sweet. Our waitress was amazing and gave us an extra bit of pie because it was too small to sell. Great service overall, highly recommend dropping by if around the Paradise/Ashford area!

Helene E.

Yelp
We stopped by yesterday for lunch. Our family has been going to Copper Creek for decades and decades and we haven't been here for a decade, but we went yesterday and had their delicious blue cheese hamburger with onion rings. It was the best hamburger I have ever had highly recommend this place
google avatar

Alan P.

Yelp
Took my pregnant wife here after visiting the national park for our 1 year wedding anniversary in anticipation for the famous blackberry pie only to have the server screw up our order after waiting thirty minutes for a grilled cheese and chicken sandwich we left utterly disappointed. 10 out of 10 would not recommend especially if pregnant.
google avatar

Jacque B.

Yelp
The food is AMAZING! The service, not so much! Waited a long time to even get a waitress. They are kids btw. No one knew what they had. Tables were sticky. Not very well organized. Don't expect your salad before the meal either!! Maybe the front end is ran by the kid hostess?!?
google avatar

Casey W.

Yelp
This place was so cute! Such a shame the food is extra mid. Even their pie that they are known for.... was just okay... floppy crust and unbalanced sweetness. I regretted spending my money here but if you like sute ambiance I would go for a coffee.

Yelp
We had breakfast on the day we checked out of the Paradise Inn on Mt. Rainier. My wife saw the reviews and suggested we give it a try. At about 10AM, the parking lot was packed and there were no tables available so we sat at the counter. Coffee was served quickly and we put in our order for the special, huevos rancheros. They were so busy that it took over 30 minutes to get our food. They checked with a frequently and refilled our coffee and brought us water. When our food came, it tasty and we enjoyed it but we have had better versions of this dish in many places and this seemed expensive at $18.95 but a deal compared with the $35 breakfast buffet at the Paradise Inn. Many of their other dishes were less expensive and looked large and delicious. This place is well worn and lots of surfaces including the counter and the front door are a bit sticky. The single bathroom is outside and had a waiting line. The country ambiance is genuine and the people are hard working and friendly. I would come back again on our next visit to Rainier.

Evalynn A.

Yelp
Food was adequate. For a small restaurant they were pretty popular, everyone that helped us was kind but the wait time was absolutely atrocious. Waited about 20 minutes to actually have our order taken and 45 minutes for the food to arrive. It wasn't our servers fault maybe they're low on staff but definitely not ideal to be waiting for over an hour just to eat. The blackberry pie was definitely the highlight of my night, I would definitely go back just for a takeout of that pie.

Sarah W.

Yelp
We ate at the Copper Creek Inn twice during our stay in Ashford. Our first night, I had the cheeseburger and my boyfriend had the Paul Bunyan Burger. Both burgers were juicy and satisfying. I also loved the fries! Perfectly crunchy and seasoned very well. we also ate the onion rings and those were delicious! (We were so hungry we forgot to take pictures) The second time we ate here, we both ordered the beef stew with a side of fries. The stew was perfect for this cold weather and satisfying. The best part of our meal was dessert! We ordered the blackberry pie with ice cream and wow! I'm not a pie girl at all but this pie was delicious! The pie was a perfect balance between sweet and tart. Overall, the Copper Creek Inn is a must-try. The service was great and the restaurant was homey!

Mark F.

Yelp
Great experience at Copper Creek for our family of 5. Burgers, salads, pasta, and even corn dogs for the little guy. Everyone LOVED their meal. Highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Sophia T.

Yelp
Delicious food at a reasonable price and the service is excellent. This cozy lil spot is unassuming as you drive by it but once inside, it's diner-like feel is inviting. The food is good, coffee is good, the blackberry jam and butter so delicious! Thank you, Cathy, for the hospitality.

Hallie B.

Yelp
This place was amazing. The home made rolls and focaccia bread were the best I have had. The blueberry butter was great. The portions were generous. Great chilli, large salad and sandwich's all well made. Great friendly and welcoming service. This was a great change of pace from what we have experienced on our trip. While most place were good for dinner food this was many steps above the rest b

Yelp
Came here on a busy holiday weekend so it may have just been one of those nights but it wasn't great. Really long wait for table was fine but they got backed up in the kitchen and it ended up being a long wait to eat after ordering too. They were out of what I wanted too. On a positive note the blackberry butter they make is really good.
google avatar

Sandy C.

Yelp
Very nice little place on the way to the national park. Cozy, clean. Small, but fantastic menu. Don't miss the pie. Hours and seats are limited so get there early.

Thomas H.

Yelp
This is an awesome place to have a meal. From the outstanding staff to the great food, worth the stop. We choose to stop by on the way back down from the mountain (the back up was over 2 miles by that time - noon) to have lunch. We were greeted with a friendly smile, had an awesome server, and really enjoyed the experience. And we had to buy a few things from the little shop too. The atmosphere was very welcoming and seemed very laid back. Pretty much a "local" vibe that welcomes everyone. Worth the time - great meal and experience.
google avatar

Jason G.

Yelp
The absolute best pie ever is Copper Creek's blackberry pie! It's worth going out of my way and driving from Seattle just for this pie. The food is also very good here as it's diner food and fitting for the area.
google avatar

Kelly H.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch after hiking. Waitress was wonderful. Had seafood chowder and the artichoke spinach dip. Both had amazing flavor and truly hit the spot. Just wish I had left room for pie. Next time.
google avatar

Caleb D.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped by for late lunch after we hiked a part of rainier and we were really impressed with the food and service. The inside is pretty standard for an old timey diner, and the service was quick and everything we quite good.I had the blue cheese burger and garlic parm fries which were very solid and my wife had the sea food chowder as well as a blue berry lemonade. The roll that came with the chowder was honestly the highlight of the meal (along with the blue berry butter that came with it). Overall we really enjoyed our meal.
google avatar

Joseph I.

Yelp
The Copper Burger with cheddar and pepper Jack was amazing. Service was super friendly and even friendlier when they were busy. The blackberry butter is worth taking home. The overall feel was old time diner. To the management--Chantelle deserves a raise. She was a one woman show running the front, waiting tables and getting the side orders all at once.
google avatar

Alison O.

Yelp
The trout special was delicious. Portions are large and well priced. Trinity was/is very personable. Great location and cute inside.
google avatar

Kyra K.

Yelp
Everyone is correct, the blackberry pie is amazing. We stopped in to get a slice to go. Our brief stop was filled with friendly, fast customer service and ended with a great piece of pie.

Yelp
What a nice little place tucked away near the base of Mt. Rainier. The spinach and artichoke dip was very good. I liked the little crostini bread they served it with. My wife had the French dip with fries and it was tasty as well. They were even able to provide some horseradish for her to make a sauce with for the sandwich. I opted for a bowl of chili which I thought was very good. It was served with a little loaf of bread, some cheese and onions on the side, as well a a couple different butters for the bread. I did think it strange there was strawberry butter for chili but that didn't stop me from eating it. We got some copper toppers to go and they were fair at best but the pie was really good. All in all, it is most definitely worth a visit if in the area.
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
Stopped here with my dad after a long day of hiking and it hit the spot! I got a cup of the beef stew (quite tasty) and my dad got the seafood chowder (a little bland, greatly improved by the table salt & pepper). However, the real star of the show was the blackberry pie. WOW. What a scrumptious pie! The warm crust and slightly tart blackberries paired with the cold vanilla ice cream was to die for. It was perfectly balanced flavor wise and was surprisingly not soggy. I'm still dreaming about that pie! Our waiter was friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be coming back if I return to Mt. Rainier National Park!

Yelp
We were happy to get a table right away. It went downhill from that. I was starving from a long hike at Mt. Rainier so nice bowl of beef stew sounded good. Thinking that will be ready fast. It took about 1hr before we got our food. My beef stew only had 1 little cube of beef. I'm not exaggerating. Only ONE LITTLE CUBE OF BEEF. My daughter ordered their seafood chowder & she said she got mostly potatoes. There was hardly seafood in it. As the picture shows i didn't eat what's in my bowl coz it wasn't tasty and there's no beef. The meal wasn't satisfying.

Yelp
This place is open all year around (although specific days of the week can vary), so it's a staple for the area. It's located on the road to the Nisqually Entrance to Rainier National Park. The location feels like a throwback to when it opened up in the 40's, you walk in and there's a gift shop to the left with some tchotchkes, wine, and other souvenirs. In the middle there is a bar area with some seating and the right has the dining room. It's a relatively small place but fits an old timey mountain vibe. The service is extremely welcoming and very friendly. We were seated quickly and while they were short staffed and couldn't get our orders immediately they got us beverages and frequently checked in. Beer and wine selection is adequate for most of what you're looking for (impressive for mountain restaurants) that we sipped on while mulling over the menu. We ordered two burgers and received onion rings and garlic Parmesan fries. The burgers were good, but nothing to write home about. The onion rings were primo - highly recommend getting. I would pass on the garlic Parmesan fries, they were just regular fries tossed with some garlic and parm...it almost made them less desirable than regular fries to me. For dessert we got the pie, which was good. Maybe a little soupy for my preference but still delicious and had a solid crust and filling. Overall, the food is pretty standard - it's located in a remote location after all. But the service, ambiance, and level of service in a rural location is what makes this place worth a visit.

Yelp
OMG, too much food! We should have split a meal! Took half home. But when you order the Paul Bunyan burger, you better be hungry!

Yelp
Food was good for the area. Burgers might have been frozen patties but they were ok. But the seafood chowder was amaze balls

Yelp
This little restaurant was so good we had to eat there twice - once for breakfast and lunch - the cinnamon roll was very good - we would recommend everything on the menu except the bruschetta- the blackberry butter is once of the most flavorful addition to any piece of bread or French toast - actually

Yelp
We enjoyed several meals here during our stay at a cabin down the road. My husband got the cod and chips and it was well portioned and delicious. They have good beer choices and the blackberry lemonade is so refreshing after a day of adventuring nearby! We sampled every option on the menu after dinner on Friday evening then breakfast on Saturday followed by dinner on Saturday evening. I had the "Cheeseburger in Paradise" with a side salad and even the salad was so good paired with the blackberry vinaigrette, so delicious! Service was great! It is a small place that gets very busy at peak hours so patients is key;) And be kind and tip well! They work their tails off, we sat at the counter and saw firsthand how much multitasking is happening.
