We LOVED the French toast and copper top donuts. Their drip coffee is good, and they made a nice vanilla iced latte. Such kind staff, too! Can’t wait to head back in.

Great fresh and unique flavored donuts ! A repeat customer told us there is no flavor you can go wrong with and i believe it. I recommend trying this place. I thought it was some of the best donuts i have had ! my boyfriend thought it was a little too cakey and not crisp enough. However, i think the difference of opinion comes down to preference. we both agreed these r damn good donuts and you will have a hard time not eating all of your order once you start.

This place is a true find! Who doesn’t love freshly made donuts with homemade toppings?!?! The vibe is great, and the donuts, made with minimal ingredients, are delicious. Their variety of flavors is a lot of fun. If that wasn’t already enough to get you here, the people who work here are extremely welcoming and provide top-notch customer service.

Came in for a doughnut hankering and got the delicious Breakfast Sandwich instead! Ha! Came back the next day(Tuesday) for the actual doughnuts AND THEY WERE CLOSED! :( We came in on our final vacation day and told them we came yesterday and didn’t know they were closed! THEY GAVE US A FREE DOUGHNUT 🍩 🥹 it was so sweet, coffee is amazing as well! Got two doughnuts to go too! Shout out to the owner and helper! You ROCK!

Amazing donut! The man who works there and seems to own the place has found his calling. I got the French Toast donut. It was delicious, made-to-order! And they're not unnecessarily large, like some artisan donuts. Perfect size, perfect flavor.

Fresh to order donuts and all the frostings are made in house ! I am obsessed ! My favorite donut is the Elvis (peanut butter, raspberry jam, bacon & banana) I also love their coffee, specifically the salted caramel latte cause they make that in house too !

What a cute place!!! The young lady at the register was very nice and smiley. Great selection of drinks and donuts. We got an iced latte with oat milk and hot matcha latte with almond milk and honey and the Sugar & Spice donut. We sat at this cute little table outside. Donut came out first and drinks were delivered within 5 minutes. Everything was great. Will be back again when I'm in the area. Parking is scarce, but I didn't mind walking a few blocks.

Stopped by here after a run on Mission Beach, and it was exactly what I needed to recharge! Food: I tried the Sugar n Spice and The 5-0 donuts, both of which were fantastic. They were soft, fresh, and had the perfect balance of sweetness. To go with it, I ordered a White Chocolate Macadamia Latte that was smooth, creamy, and delicious. Service: My order came out in about 5 minutes, which was perfect. The staff was friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. Ambience: The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. The music in the background added to the vibe without being overpowering. The open seating setup had plenty of options, with tables, bench seating, and even a small outdoor table for two. It wasn't too busy at noon, which made it a nice, relaxed spot to sit and enjoy my food. Parking: Street-side parking is available, but it can be tricky depending on the time of day. Plan accordingly if you're heading over during peak hours. Overall, this is a great spot for a quick bite or to relax with coffee and donuts. I'll definitely be coming back!

Where is one place that you can go and see the sweet creations get made and see them decorated with the frosting and bacon? With the many eats that you find near the beAch the large corn dogs with the taste of home made greek food . There are so.many food creations that you find near the beach area if your on the east coast there is the foot long hot dog to the early bar openings.. Walking through the Mission blvd area looking through the many eateries there was one place that had a store that was on the Hillcrest area . The many places that I have found the burger grills to the pubs and the bakeries many of them were in the area of deserts . Going down the street I came across a place that I came across on line as one of the best in doughnuts and coffee drinks one thing that caught my eye was the many flavors of the doughnuts they have from the designer to the basic flavors . Walking into the store seeing the tables and the decorative color of the store making the feel of New York and Boston Bakeries . Being greeted by the baked that was m see king a large order he asked me if I needed two dozen Took a look at the many flavors that is one Incredible line up of doughnuts . Looking at the he many things he has the shirts and the hats of Copper Top Coffee and Doughnuts great things for a doughnut place. I was able to place my order and was given one of the doughnuts to tryout the celebration raspberry jelly and moms secret vanilla frosting . When you bite into a warm pancake with raspberry jelly and vanilla frosting is a new of the best tastes of warm soft doughnuts . Great tastes are the best warm doughnuts to find the best made fresh.. The doughnut order I had purchased and the customer service that I one of the best places you can go to having the best As a Yelp Elite Reviewer the many travels to the many cities and the fun places of Las Vegas for the many grills usually have some the sweet places to have after you hae a nic dinner . For the coffee you want the best to have the baked goods that you can dunk in fresh hot coffee Copper Topp Coffee and Doughnuts is one of the best .

I think everyone can appreciate the fact that each donut is made to order. I'm talking so fresh that each one is fried, cooled, and then toppings are added. With that, I was hoping to be wow'ed by these donuts and unfortunately I was not. I think they are okay like some people mentioned in their reviews, but definitely not the best donuts around. I'm not sure what kind of donuts they are because they're not raised, but they're not cake either. They are less dense than traditional cake donuts but more dense than raised donuts. The toppings weren't too sweet, which is a plus. The starred items on the menu are the popular flavors. Service was nice, I came towards closing and the owner, Josh, was there making the donuts. Parking is street and the inside of the store is cozy.

Came here around 9am with my brother. There's no parking lot-- only street parking so it can be hit or miss since it's in Pacific Beach. There was a line, but it moved quickly. The donuts are fresh and made to order. They are the size of my palm which I think is great for eating. I had it for breakfast. They were $3.25 each. I ordered the celebration donut which has raspberry jam, powdered sugar, and vanilla frosting. I really enjoyed this classic flavor since it was reminiscent of a jelly filled donut. The donut itself wasn't sweet at all therefore it was a great base for the toppings. The vanilla frosting was smooth and sweet. The raspberry jam was nice and tart -- I wish there was more of this on the donut! (Compared to the photo online it was lacking). My brother ordered 3 donuts. He had the Copper Top (maple frosting, espresso caramel, and dusted with espresso), U-Bae (ube frosting and toasted coconut), and the Sunday Morning Cartoons (homemade vanilla frosting and fruity pebbles). He love the fruity pebbles one. It reminded me of my childhood. The Copper Top was not sweet at all compared to the other two. It was enjoyable although it was lacking in flavor for the espresso caramel--I wish it had a deeper flavor. The maple frosting really came through. The U-Bae was overly sweet with a hint of ube. I wouldn't get this again. My brother said that the coconut flakes were really dry and tasted like they were old. Copper Top also does coffee. It's nothing special, but they nailed the flavor (syrup, I think it's made in house)! I got the iced salted caramel and loved that the salt part was prominent. It was about $6.25 for a medium sized cup. My brother got the iced white mocha macadamia latte with almond milk. He said was average but tasty to have with the donuts. Overall they were fulfilling and delicious. Hot and made fresh to order, the prices were really great. We would come back here again to try different flavors! Great for morning breakfast or snacks.

Top-notch customer service. The young man and young lady working there were so friendly. They had smiles on their face and greeted everybody. This is what you would call a lost art. This young teenage couple or employees if you will, they really had the right attitude. Just the nicest people ever. Food: the donuts are freshly made to order. What a great concert. They're not just sitting under a heat lamp like the competitors. They make them fresh right when you order them and dress them right there in front of you. The glaze donut was phenomenal. Everything was so good. We will definitely come back. I wish they had these in Houston Texas. I wonder if they'd be interested in putting our franchise here in Houston or Austin Texas. I will definitely come back here next time I'm in the area. Thanks again. Five star review.

Donuts weren't up to standard & coffee was below expectations. Pictures make them look good but felt they missed the mark with flavor & donut quality which felt more like a pancake texture.

Visited here this morning (05/17/2024) with my boo. It smells so good upon entering! It's a chill vibe and clean interior. Love that they have pillows which are so helpful for people who have difficulty sitting on firm surfaces. The girl behind the counter is quick to greet you. The donuts are made to order, which is awesome. Less waste, fresh and delicious, and warm. We had a tough time figuring out which donuts to try. Originally we were going to choose three but we wound up with four with the free donut coupon we lucked out on! All of the donuts we got were light and not heavy on our stomachs. We still had room for more, but didn't! We'll definitely try to be back another time before we head home. I usually detest maple flavored anything, but I have to say that their French Toast flavored donut was tied at first place with the Everything Nice donut! The S'mores donut was meh, but still very light. 16 Candles tasted like a light and sweet birthday cake. The Copper Top is their signature donut, maybe next time we'll give it a go. The Mexican Mocha was good, but lacking in spices. Personally, I'd either revamp it or remove it or change the name to match it better. My boo and I mixed up our drinks after the photoshoot (see pics). Both the almond milk and whole milk versions tasted exactly the same. Hopefully we picked right in the end. Happy eats!

There is something absolutely superior about a fresh donut. They make these donuts right in front of you, so you get to bite into warm deliciousness! The topping choices are fun and they don't skimp on the extras. Great, friendly service from the manager during my visit!

Cute shop with fresh unique donuts. Absolutely loved the texture of these spongy cake treats. They are a bit less sweet than typical but the toppings are so flavorful and fun! They come out warm so the icing kinda melts a bit which makes you devour them fast. I've tried a few of the new trendy donut shops and this is a winner hands down. So dang good

You got to love a warm, tasty doughnut! I do not like a lot of toppings on my doughnuts, so I ordered the Sugar & Spice and the Bear Club with an iced coffee with whole milk. I love the made to order concept they promote here, and what a difference in the quality of the doughnuts. Most noticeable is the actual dough portion of the doughnut. First of all, I love that they come out warm and that they are super soft too. The sugar and spice were perfect for those who do not like a lot of crazy stuff going on top. It was sweet but not overly sweet. Bear Club was terrific! I enjoyed the honey and the slivered almonds. Great doughnut. The iced coffee was good. Service at the counter was super chill and friendly. There's a small amount of inside seating available.

I'm usually for just good old fashioned standard donuts but these are delicious! Once we were able to see pictures of them and figure out what's in those funny names "The Elvis, Curious George we ordered and they are fresh, fresh, fresh! Nice and warm and you can taste the quality ingredients difference between them and typical chain donut shop. The vibes and service was great too. Not a huge sweets fan but Definitely will be back here when I get the craving and in San Diego.

While I appreciate the concept of a fresh, made to order donut, I don't understand why you'd think you can ice hot donuts straight out of the oil. The icing on mine was completely melted off, so both looks and flavor were a little disappointing. Upside is each donut was only $3 so not completely outrageous. Still, wouldn't return.

This was a change to have a business relocate from the central part of SD to a suite along the coast in one of the beach communities. Usually, it's vice versa as the rent is more expensive near the water, but apparently the owner of Copper Top Coffee & Donuts found a suitable lease in PB and took over a vacant suite next door to a pizza shop on Mission Blvd. The interior was a bit bare bones with two tables and a countertop for seating. The donuts here were cake-style with various frostings and decorations added on top. They sell for less than $3 apiece which was reasonable given the size. There were 15 varieties on the regular menu and another five on a special holiday menu. The grand opening was this past weekend and unbeknownst to me, there was a promotional discount on the donuts. I bought half a dozen and expected to pay $15, however they rang me up for less than half that total. My selections were the following... * Gingerbread Cookie Butter - house gingerbread cookie butter topped with powdered sugar & gingersnap cookie crumbles * The Grinch - house green vanilla frosting topped with red heart sprinkles * Bear Cub - organic wildflower honey and sliced almonds * Copper Top - house espresso caramel, house maple frosting, and espresso dust * Sugar & Spice - sugar and cinnamon dust * Date Nite Donut - house raspberry jam, chocolate, and Ghirardelli chocolate chips The first two were from the holiday menu. My favorite was the last one because of the fruity jam. The extra chocolate from the Ghirardelli chips didn't hurt either. Since I am not a coffee drinker, someone else will have to sample and give their feedback on those products.

I'm so excited that copper top is back! Today I ordered an americano, iced white chocolate macadamia latte with oat milk, campfire donut, and copper top donut. Everything was just delicious and fresh as I remember. The service was awesome and the storefront had good ambiance. It was a Thursday morning well spent! I can definitely see this place getting busy after the grand opening this weekend.

Found this place near Pacific Terrace and it's a gem. My wife, the coffee snob, loved the java and both of us enjoyed the made-to-order donuts. They are served warm like a Krispy Kreme but has the doughy bite and a tasty sourdough vibe of a classic donut that balances well with the sweet toppings. I got the curious george and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too sweet even with maple drizzle, & banana. The service was great too! Highly recommend!

my partner and i took our daughter yesterday for the first time and decided to treat ourselves to some donuts and they were amazing!!!!! service was great and we even got a donut on the house! the donuts were so warm and fresh and we all enjoyed it so much! and as coffee connoisseurs we really loved our coffees our favorite was definitely the honey lavender! we are so coming back for more our next san diego trip! also we didn't know it was a small business and we will always support shopping small!!!!!

The best coffee!!! We were visiting and had to get this every day. We tried some other coffee places too, but this was by far our favorite! The donuts are made fresh to order and so delicious (the Celebration was the best)! Love the decor inside too. Staff was super friendly. We'll go back next time we're in the area!

Very friendly staff, decent selection, donuts are made to order- and they are delicious! My only suggestion is improving the identification of donuts. We were not sure which was which once we got our donuts. However, we went up to the counter to ask & they were happy to help us out. White chocolate macadamia latte was very good! Would definitely visit again.

Well, this is the second time I've had their donuts first time. I actually ordered off of Uber Eats and I received the donuts and for whatever reason they seemed a little chewy, but went in the store today. Got some fresh ones. They do make them fresh to order with a nice Salted caramel cappuccino. Definitely great getting him fresh at the store not sure what happened. Ordering them. I live pretty close to the store so by the time they got to me last time, they just didn't taste very good but definitely recommend going into the store. They weren't busy great service great atmosphere nice little store and the donuts were very good and the coffees amazing thank you very much. to the girl that helped me today. Have a great trip in New Zealand.

It was my first time to Copper Top this morning and my friend and I had such a delightful time. I asked the employee at the counter, Lo, for a basic maple and chocolate donut. He was super friendly and helpful, and informed me that the chocolate sauce wasn't similar to a traditional donut. I went ahead and ordered it anyway and they were absolutely delicious. But what I appreciated the most was that Lo brought a complimentary donut with chocolate and raspberry sauce, and chocolate chips for me to try. He said it was worth it to have the full Copper Top experience and I agree! Thanks Lo, for your kindness - I will be back soon!

WARNING IF UR DEATHLY ALLERGIC TO PEANUTS DO NOT EAT HERE. They do not separate their peanut toppings so peanuts are cross contaminated with other foods even if you don't order it. They use the same tray for every donut they make and do not use a separate tray for peanut-containing donuts. They didn't even offer us a refund and dismissed us saying "Call us if anything happens" What kind of service is that?

The donuts here are absolutely amazing! They are made fresh, and I love how flavorful they are! The employees were super nice, gave recommendations, and the service was quick. The seating is nice and cozy, and it is accessible.

Always fresh always delicious!!! Stopped in after a long bike ride and refueled with some yummy donuts and a hot salted Carmel latte. They make all their own syrups for the lattes and let me tell ya it makes all the difference in the world! I would have taken a pic of the donuts but we ate em too fast!

Holy moly - this was an epic donut!! We did not go here for donuts but rather coffee and matcha. We last minute opted to indulge in a donut between two. BIG MISTAKE. The owner came out and said "wait there's two??" We mentioned we weren't even in the business for a donut But after he hand delivered the house made donut, we both had regrets. Severe, regrets. The donut melted in our mouth, it wasn't as sweet as a regular donut that weighs you down but it was absolutely the donut we all wish for. Warm, Soft, flakey, just sweet enough and did not feel heavy. We were so delighted by the experience, service, and products they offered. It is on my "must go back" list. Matcha was delicious. He had the white chocolate latte and both were iced/fantastic!!! Can't stop thinking about the donut

Arrived early on a Saturday and wanted coffee. Saw this spot on Mission and decided to give it a try. There were a few folks enjoying donuts inside and a guy picking up an online order. I was greeted warmly then ordered a cold brew, a copper top and tortoise donut. I almost got oat milk in it but the cold brew was so smooth it didn't need anything more. They make the donuts fresh while you wait so I sat for a few minutes. Texted some friends and before I knew it the donuts were ready. I got a freebie which was awesome. I ate two while they were warm and enjoyed the cold brew immediately. Just like other fresh made donuts they're best right away. The flavors in the glaze were very well balanced and not too overly sweet. I'll definitely come back because the donuts paired perfectly with the cold brew. Thank you for a wonderful first time.

I have lived all over this planet, and being a coffee lover and fiend, I have sought the best cafe wherever I may roam. This being said, I am thoroughly amazed at the quality richness and flavor of all the in-house brews at Copper-top! Amazing in house made donuts that melt in your mouth are the cherries on top! I highly recommend this coffee shop in pacific beach.

Fresh made to order hot donuts a block from the beach. Need I say more? Innovative flavor combinations which applies to both their donut and drink selection. Seating inside or take it to the sand. Friendly small business who is excited about their craft. They support other small businesses too.

One of the best "gourmet" style donuts I've had in recent years. Typically when I have a donut (or multiple) I quickly end up regretting it, but these are made light and airy while satisfying my sweet tooth. Lots of made to order flavors which I also appreciated. The owner is very nice and friendly to take to as well. Definitely give this place a try if you haven't already!

Oh wow I stumbled upon this place in PB. They used to be on Washington St in Mission Hills in the e sharp angled A frame building. That one closed a while ago. It is the same place bigger and closer to the ocean!!! Great doughnuts made FRESH and on demand. Same riendly excellent customer service. Best of luck in the new place they opened in Jan 24

I come here almost everyday, the coffee and donuts are delicious, but the environment is the best part. The service is great and the people are kind. I highly recommend giving it a try!

Fast service, friendly employees, delicious donuts made fresh, free WiFi, good music, and a great place to get some work done. Definitely recommend the dirt pile donut and the Salted Caramel Latte. The Mexican Mocha Latte is also delicious. Will be coming back.

We stopped here after dinner at Bare Back next door - it was delish!! We got two ice cream donuts to split among 5 of us. Freshly made donut with ice cream and any toppings you want. We also got one fresh donut with homemade maple topping, so good. Definitely best to eat right away, not for takeaway. They also have a good selection of coffee and other small dishes. The staff were very friendly. And reasonably priced for how fresh and customizable it is. A great addition to the PB beach scene.

Amazing new favorite donut/coffee stop. Best salted caramel latte. The 2nd time I came back the owner knew exactly how to go above and beyond and even added a little chocolate without me telling him cause yesterday I ordered a Mexican mocha and he remembered me. So today I had the salted caramel/ mocha and it was the BEST EVER! Ok now for the donuts. They are amazing too. I order them totally plain cause they taste homemade just like my mother from Germany use to make for us every Christmas. Finally - quality donuts somewhere to be found ! (For a person who doesn't write many reviews I've just raved quite a bit about this amazing place )

Stopped for iced latte on walk back from Bird Rock to Mission Beach. Donuts made to order. Tried the Fluffernuter-great memories of growing up in Massachusetts on peanut butter and fluffernuttter sandwiches, grandson got the French toast donut. They also make their own caramel. The caramel latte was fabulous. Will be back!

Great little place close to the beach! Stopped in for a coffee before a walk on the beach, the staff was super nice, cute place and great donuts! I will be coming here again!
