"Copper Top Coffee & Donuts is reopening in Pacific Beach by the end of the year. Founded in Hillcrest in 2018 and shuttered last spring, Copper Top launched with a high-traffic drive-thru window, a method of service that proved difficult to manage with a menu of doughnuts that are made to order. The new Pacific Beach storefront will offer a large selection of doughnuts cooked fresh when ordered, with housemade sauces and toppings like salted caramel and marshmallow. Other menu items include breakfast sandwiches, acai bowls, and smoothies. The space will also allow the shop to expand its options for coffee and espresso drinks, using beans roasted at its sister company in Seattle, with plans to eventually open a roastery in San Diego." - Candice Woo
