Hearty comfort food & handcraft cocktails served in a historic, chic Covent Garden townhouse.
"Every story needs conflict. And in the story of this guide, the conflict comes in the form of British restaurant Cora Pearl. Or specifically, in the shape of a confit potato chip. And, more specifically, whether debating the intricacies of a deep-fried carbohydrate actually matters in the grand scheme of things. Clearly not. While this Covent Garden spot’s chips look like an intricate reconstruction job, the resolution is undeniable: complete and crunchy satisfaction." - jake missing, sinead cranna
"All adults need a place like Cora Pearl in their lives. This restaurant on Henrietta Street serves rich British food that’s refined without being fussy, in a space that’s grown-up without even a hint of ‘do you think a count once died in here?’. Come with your parents or someone you want to low-key impress, or, even better, when someone else is paying. " - sinead cranna, jake missing, rianne shlebak, daisy meager
"It’s okay that you can’t get the zip up on your old jeans, you won’t need them for dinner at this lovely Covent Garden spot anyway. This British restaurant on Henrietta Street happens to be Kitty Fisher’s endearing little sister as well as the perfect place to debut that overpriced shirt that’s been hanging in your wardrobe since the third week of lockdown. Their menu has tarted up versions of British classics, including things like Welsh rarebit, wild garlic risotto, and the most perfectly arranged cheese and ham toastie you’ll ever come across. And their heated, covered, outdoor seating area will ensure your best clothes will be safe from British weather." - rianne shlebak
"A charming restaurant focusing on seasonal British produce, located near 'The Actors’ Church'." - The MICHELIN Guide UK Editorial Team
"Sister to Kitty Fisher’s – and similarly named after an infamous courtesan – this elegant restaurant is set in a characterful townhouse just round the corner from what's affectionately known as “The Actors’ Church”. Inside, there’s a buzz to the atmosphere and a rich, cosy bistro feel; the concise menu focuses on seasonal British produce in fresh, unfussy and boldly flavoured dishes. Service is smooth and attentive." - Michelin Inspector
