"There's no closer option on this list than Corridor, the new American comfort food restaurant from the owners of Trestle, which offers counter service speed at the full service experience. Here's how it works: You walk in, order at the counter (everything on the menu is priced under $22), and then head to a table, where from there on out the experience is like normal table service, down to ordering more drinks or dishes if you'd like and paying the bill. After which you're off on your way, just a few blocks down the street." - Ellen Fort

"The Hi Neighbor folks (Stones Throw, Trestle) recently scored a full liquor license for their Civic Center area spot Corridor, and with bar manager Tyler Groom (Stones Throw) in charge, they’ve got new cocktails ($10-$12). The menu has classics like sidecars and corpse revivers plus specialty concoctions like the Kick Inside (rye, Antica Vermouth, suze and elderflower) and the Black Death (gin, caraway aquavit, and Benedictine)." - Caleb Pershan

"Corridor, Mid-Market's newest addition, is a counter-service all day until dinner. The menu, created by chef Jason Halverson (Trestle, Stones Throw) runs the gamut from soups and salads to a kill croissant egg sandwich, falafel croquettes, and savory, pull-apart monkey bread. There's also a list of approachable beer, wine, and cocktails, plus LA's LAMILL coffee is featured." - Stefanie Tuder, Ellen Fort, Caleb Pershan

Came to this place after passing by many times and figured it was a good opportunity to come after a show at the SF Symphony. Seems like an interesting place that had a very open design yet very modern. Situated on the bottom floor of the building it seems like a very welcoming place. Came here during their Happy Hour and they were offering beer, wine, and mocktails for $5. Started off food with their Grüner wine and some appetizers before the main course. Thoughts on the Grüner wine. Never that type of wine, so it was enlightening to be able to try it. Being a White Wine, it’s flavor profile seems to be quite positive. Not as sweet as a Sav Blanc and a lot drier. Good for people who enjoy that type of thing, and recommend trying out once. The Monkey Bread. A pretty decadent of fluffy bread topped off with some baked cheese on the top with a light layer of basil aioli. The spicy meatballs were not as spicy as most people think. I would think the Tomato probably offset it, but it had a nice sweet sauce that would compliment the meatballs well. The croutons were crunchy soaked well in the tomato sauce. Panning the horizon for the flatbread, it ended up tasting alright with the different dips. Felt the flatbread wasn’t too tasty and the sauces were decent but not as impressive as I would have thought. Now to the entree. I ended up getting the Pan Roasted Salmon in medium rare compliment with cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, and walnut pesto. Thought that the charring on the vegetables gave an excellent effect that would compliment the salmon well. Salmon was very flavorful and did not seem overcooked. Bringing it together was the Walnut Pesto which provided a bit of a nutty yet a bit of an earthy sauce to the food. Overall I think it’s a good place to grab a decent meal which may be a little pricey. However, their happy hour provides a good value for beer and wine.

Popular place with a happy hour. Friendly welcome, but usually a wait time despite a handful of available tables around 6pm... Wines by the glass are limited but qualitative. Dishes are focused. Starters are a good portion to be a meal. Entrees are okay. I had the Salmon which was good, not the best I've had. Service is just OK, more like quick versus individualized attentive. Can accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies when you ask which is nice.

Came in for the first time today, and we loved it! They have exciting food, but we both had to get the Fried Chicken with gravy, a biscuit, and poached egg. It was delicious! I tried the salted caramel latte, which was enjoyable as well, but they have extensive alcohol selection which is really fun. They have both endless mimosas AND endless beer, which is virtually unheard of. We'll definitely be coming back here to try the prix fixe brunch!

Great location for a pre-theater dinner. Great cocktails and beer menu. We had the spicy meatballs and Yellowfin tuna crudo to start and the roasted chicken for our main. Everything was good and the service super friendly and timely to make sure we made it to our show in time.

I went here for a holiday party, the food was absolutely delicious. The service was wonderful, getting drinks as needed and silverware with each course. Would recommend for any occasion.

This San Francisco Restaurant is a little out of my normal forging zone, so being SF, I expected great things from this place. But I was disappointed 😔. The pictures on line gave me the impression of an old mens club restaurant, with a darker cozier interior, and maybe that was upstairs, we however, sat right by the front door next to two story high windows with a view of the street. A high metal table and the most uncomfortable metal high chair. I have a generous back side and only half of me was accommodated, and one leg was cut by the metal as to stop the circulation all the way to my foot, I had tingly toes! A couple friends had the Carrot "Risotto". (Sorry photo did not come out) Now I'm eating with a foodie group. These people have many words to describe their food, so when they say the dish was "interesting" and nothing more, I know they were politely saying it wasn't their favorite. Another participant had a burger and another a salad. Both ate their meals but didn't comment about them. My husband had the roast chicken. It was not even a half chicken, and although it was covered in a light sauce, it wasn't very tasty. It was however, very juicy. As I always do, I tasted and concurred with his assessment. It was served with peas, onion and fennel? Not sure what the other green thing was, but as there wasn't anything else on the plate, my hubby ate it. I had the Tiki Masala Scallops. As you can see from the picture I only received 4, on a bed of corn with cuts of beet and shoots. I did ask for it to not be overwhelmingly hot, and as you can also see there are peppers in the plate, but still not much flavor. I could have gone anywhere in SF and gotten pan seared scallops that tasted the same, if not better, for a cheaper price. So sad 😔. The dishes were quite pricey, even by SF standards, because the amount of food was very small. My husband even got his own dessert, which he does not normally do. (We even went home and ate leftovers.) The dessert fared little better. My husband had the cheesecake covered with the berry sauce on a graham cracker crumb bed. Exactly what you'd expect. I had the chocolate mousse, my favorite part of the dish was the cashews atop my mousse and the bit of honeycomb served on the side. A couple of my companions tried the "Popsicle". It was in that shape, so that's how it got the name, because I was told it tasted nothing like icecream. The outside was covered in white chocolate and sprinkled with sweet cereal. And that was all they could make out. The inside was a "hockey puck". It was a white undisernable hard mass. The bit my one mate was able to "saw" off had no flavor he could make out and my other friend could not break off enough to taste. Needless to say, neither finished. One bright spot to the evening was our server. He was quick, efficient and pleasant. So since food came out quick as did the nicely crafted cocktails I will also give a thumbs up to bar tender and other restaurant staff.

Decent restaurant for price quality & easy to make reservations to. I booked for Friday night prime time easily on Thursday. I think more people go to Corridor for the bar on the 1F than for a meal on the 2F. MUST GET: Monkey bread (delicious even after you reheat it at home), bolognese (also delicious after reheating at home) DON'T GET: corn risotto - it was just okay, didn't stand out. Felt like risotto and the chef just threw in some corn, the flavor didn't feel cohesive. But it wasn't bad.

Loved this place! Perfect lunch before heading over to the Orpheum to see Miss Saigon. Had a reservation and glad we did! They gave us a little token when we checked in and told us to head upstairs. Neat feeling and nice surprise! Our server was fantastic and super friendly. She bragged about what a great deal the lunch special was, soup & salad for $15. Was not a disappoint either. Had the Leek & Potato soup and a tasty Kale Salad. Good size portion of both!
