"This elegant restaurant perched on the banks of the St. Lawrence boasts a charming terrace in summer. It is run by a family team, in which everyone is well versed in good food. They are open for brunch, lunch, and dinner and their set menus change with the seasons. The flavorful cuisine is firmly anchored in the terroir, a case in point being the excellent guinea fowl terrine or the delicious duck reared locally by a farmer who was once a chef here. The service is relaxed and friendly, and the enthusiastic staff are always ready to help you pick out just the right dish or wine. The adjoining store sells mostly local goods." - Michelin Inspector

Côté Est Review - Highland Park - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Though Côté Est is in a restaurant space that sees more turnover than a seasonal Halloween store, we feel like it’s going to stick. On our recent visit, the very pretty restaurant was absolutely packed with people drinking wine and having a good time. Most of the food hovers right around pretty good, but it’s all crowd-pleasing. Their back patio is made for date night." - Brant Cox

The restaurant was closed on Monday but the deli was open. The owners were wonderful and made us feel welcomed. They put together a cheese and meat board and showed us the best place to sit . The view there is great. So we're the lattes. They have a lot of great hard to find products like black garlic oil, dried organic herbs and flavor infused balsamic vinegars. It was a great stop.

Food was excellent, we loved every dish. The ingredients are very fresh, and the flavours were interesting and all very well balanced. Service was slightly disorganized, I feel the bartender was doing much more than the other service staffs, but still very good service nonetheless. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Excellent service and warm welcome. The outdoor patio has a beautiful direct view of the river. We had a beautiful day to visit. To order you go directly to the restaurant which is located next to the outdoor patio. The menu has about 20 choices. We were seduced by the hamburgers. The plate came with a delicious hamburger served with an order of fries and salad. You place your order and you can select one of the available tables outside. When your food is ready you pick it up at the restaurant where you will find the condiments if you want to add a personal touch to your dish. Dogs are welcome in the courtyard, they must keep their collar and leash.

We enjoyed everything about our stop here. The hostess was lovely, and the staff provided excellent service and recommendations. We had a beautiful spot to sit and it felt lile we were at a seaside garden party. The café and gift shop at the front, all inside the historic building made it great from start to finish!

Wow! What an amazing meal in Kamouraska. The wild boar coppa was a beautiful showcase of the animal and spiced just like my friend’s grandfather used to make his. The chevreau rillettes were tender and flavourful. The vegetables were stunning: the honey-carrots and faiselle, and the chanterelles. And the sweetgrass panna cotta was novel and delicious, one of the best bites I’ve had in ages. Exceptional natural wines and a gorgeous space. It’s the type of place you would want to become a regular at.

A favourite stop on Route 132, which hugs the St. Lawrence River. Check site for seasonal changes to days when resto is open. In summer, the cantine/terrasse is open every day. Excellent kitchen & creative menu. Great bilingual pun for the sealburger (Le Phoque Bardot). There's a café in the attached boutique.

This gem is located in a beautiful city with lots of art galleries. The scenery from the patio is breathtaking. Try to go there around sunset. The menu is great and the staff are super friendly. I asked the cashier about the jam on my dish. She went to the kitchen and came back with a jar of the jam.

Another treasure at Kamouraska. Make sure you reserve a table because the place fills up very fast. The food is amazing and fresh from the locals. You won’t regret stopping there as you will enjoy the beautiful view of the St-Lawrence River and good gastronomy.

Yelp
There is a seat in restaurant with service and a outdoor self serve restaurant. The view of the river with the sunset is good. My experience here is for the outdoor food and service. And four ordered item and a drink is totaled 170$, tax and tips included. Considered it so pricey given the food is not too spectacular. The oyster being eastern oyster is too small, and the idea to smoke it with guinea fowl oil masked all the original oyster flavor. The jambalaya was not very flavorful as well and the mussels not very tasty and the texture most a too mushy. The guinea fowl is a good one, the texture is soft and smooth. Not overly oiled. And the fowl flavor is strong. Yet, 28$ for only one piece is just too pricey.

Yelp
Had an unbelievable tasting menu here on a business trip with freshly caught seafood and locally picked mushrooms. Top notch service and food! There is also a little cheese and wine shop attached to the place. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Loved the setting with its view of the St Lawrence River. We enjoyed our spicy fish tacos served with rice and salad. The different sauces were an added touch we enjoyed. The servings were plentiful. Noticed many patrons ordered fresh corn on the cob. Loved the presentation with husks retained! ( next time).

Yelp
Located in a pretty little town this was a great stopover before Lévis, Quebec. Sat on their terrace at the back for a yummy lunch. Great view of the St. Lawrence river and very nice patio. The inside of the house is beautiful with the decor to match it's age. We enjoyed the fois gras and cheese plate, olives and salmon tartare.

Yelp
Kamouraska has become a routine stop for us when we travel from the East Coast to Central Canada. This beautiful little village has much to offer when getting out of the car at the end of a day on the road. This restaurant is one of those great offerings. Situated on the shores of the Saint Lawrence River it provided a marvellous location for a lovely meal highlighted by the setting sun. Not being proficient in French it is sometimes a worry about getting the most out of a night out in Quebec. The service at Côté Est was perfect in both languages. We enjoyed the explanation of all of the local delicacies from local gin to seal burgers to guinea fowl to the final absinthe. If you are looking for a place to get off the highway and get back in touch with the real joys of travel, plan an evening at the Côté Est.

Yelp
This is a little hidden away gem. We both had the Osso Bunco, and it was excellent. Had no reservation but they were very accommodating and friendly. To top it off there was an amazing sunset. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.
