Everything About Brandoni Pepperoni's Pizzas Scream Los Angeles | Bon Appétit

"A home-based pizza pop-up run by chef Brandon Gray that functions as a cheese-forward, West Coast–rooted homage to his Los Angeles upbringing; orders are placed by text and picked up at the chef’s Baldwin Hills home. The cooking reflects professional technique (informed by stints at Providence and Trois Mec) and proud California provenance: a 24-hour fermented dough made from very fine Tipo 00, stone-ground Buratto, and a heritage Rouge de Bordeaux flour for extra wheat-y flavor; a sauce of tomatoes cooked down for hours with dried oregano and thyme, high-quality garlic, and Thai chile powder for smoky spice; a nostalgic, maple-sweet sausage inspired by Jimmy Dean but punched up with Kashmiri chile, smoked paprika, and Thai chile; top-tier Wisconsin mozzarella; and finishing touches like leafy broccolini (whose leaves crisp in the oven), yellow broccolini flowers and purple borage for contrast, and a garlic oil made by poaching the farm garlic in high-quality olive oil. One signature pie, named Colors, is meant to capture the chef’s personality—bold, rhythmic, and full of punch." - ByElyse Inamine

I enjoyed staying here for weekend. Very close to the freeway and near a lot of amenities. For the kids, small pool. Small Starbucks in the lounge. Rooms were spacious and clean. A/C good and nice entertainment set up. Bathroom supplied and clean as well. Staff was amazing, especially with Ronnel. Parking was $10 a day and there was enough parking for us.

Not a "Leisure" hotel. With that being said, rooms were clean, bed was comfy, everything inside the room worked and staff was professional and friendly. They also have extra amenities at the front desk if you ask. Great if you are on business or on a budget

I’m extremely disappointed in my recent experience with the Courtyard by Marriott. I had a prepaid reservation for a business trip, and after working a full day, I arrived at the hotel expecting to check in—only to be told that my reservation had been cancelled. According to the staff, my business card (which is frequently used without issue) “did not go through,” despite me receiving a confirmation from Marriott. The hotel later claimed they sent a follow-up email directly (not through the Marriott app or standard confirmation system) asking for a response within 48 hours. That message went to my spam folder, and because I didn't see it, my reservation was cancelled. No call, no text, no notification through the app—just an email to a junk folder, and no reservation when I showed up. To make matters worse, they were fully booked and the only option left was an expensive suite. When I spoke with the manager, Henry, he stated there was “nothing they could do” because I didn’t respond in time. I understand policies, but this felt like a complete lack of care or effort to support a loyal guest traveling for business. Marriott has always been a brand I’ve trusted, but this experience left me questioning that. A simple phone call or text message could have made all the difference, along with a better customer service experience.

Came with the fam to the area for the night. Room was very clean and nice. Bed had a sag in it. Wasn't too comfortable but not horrible. Fold out couch was super stiff. Wouldn't suggest being stuck on that. Only way to turn the shower on leaves you getting soaked. Only 1 shower door moves. Nice shower and bathroom. Parking lot is secure. Pool was nice. The biggest issue was The Bistro inhouse cafe. Food was awful. Multiple items with bacon came with raw barely cooked bacon in it. I would suggest having food delivered from somewhere. Even with the few negatives we would definitely come again for the price. Fyi the options for food delivery in this are isn't all that. Keep that in mind. Lastly the staff were very pleasant which is always very helpful.

When guest asks for ADA room with 2 Queen beds it should be available. We accepted standard room with Queen beds. Toilet too low, no grab bars. Used shower chair and nearly fell. Get new toilets or add grab bars, please. Toilet paper & kleenex like sandpaper. Staff was nice. Will be coming to the area frequently, but will not return here d/t the above. Did not use pool or restaurant facilities. Do not recommend if you have mobility issues. Room was noisy d/t to other guests slamming doors. TV (INTERNET) was broken. Would work for 20 mins, then reboot and needed to start over. Very disappointed.

Google
Ridiculous bathroom! No shelves or racks in the shower or counter walls. Because they froze one of the shower doors you have to walk into the shower to turn it on which causes the cold water to fall on you before you can get away!!! The shower head was old and has no proper spray! Outside of that it is a clean nice hotel.

Nice and newly renovated rooms. The beds were comfortable with new bedding. The carpet and furniture were all nice. Big and bright bathroom with a newly replaced shower. Friendly staff and a nice and new lobby

Friend's home was burnt into ashes last month and the hotel was completely full for the fire victims. Managed to book a room for home and the front desk staff was so nice to give him a complimentary parking which wasn't included in the hotel. Room was not most trendy deco but was clean and alright

Yelp
Stayed for a weekend. Room was clean. Family was comfortable. The room appeared to be updated. I appreciated the roll out cabinet for extra top space for bags. The bathroom and entrance has automatic lights that you could turn off but that was nice to come in when we arrived so we wouldn't be searching for a light switch. There was plenty of lamps. Not many outlets so if your family has several devices, you will likely need some sort of extension. The bathroom was clean with good lighting. The shower in our room hadn't been renovated as it had a few repaired cracks. A suggestion for the hotel though is if you have a family of 4, they should have 4 sets of towels. We had a microwave and fridge with a working freezer. The freezer did freeze our ice blocks overnight. The ice machine worked. We did have breakfast (not in included) and both my husband I enjoyed our food. The parking is $10 a day

Yelp
Friendly staff, clean spacious rooms with all the necessities in a convenient location to the freeway and near shops and restaurants in walking distance. Maintenance responded to complaints quickly. Quiet minus door slamming.

Yelp
Love it here. Booked couple nights because my house AC broke. Love how spacious there lobby is, with lots of sitting places with tables and chairs. Pool is decent size with jacuzzi, and towels provided. Thats a plus compared to some Marriott that either I have to ask for pool towels at the front desk first, or the one that needed to swipe our room key before I can get towels. Theres bar on site. Room is spacious double bed with bathtub. The thing that I dont get is why they kept telling me they didnt have double bed room with bathtub (i inquired prior to my arrival, and upon checking in). But when we got to the room, there you go. Bath tub and double beds??! Funny.. Some other Courtyard that I stayed in have a more comfortable small couch in the room. This one doesn't. One chair, one stool, and another desk chair which I dont prefer because it keeps on tilting back. Some other Marriott also provide at least morning coffee in the morning, or even breakfast. This one doesnt. The Bistro served a la carte breakfast from 630-930 am. The bar serves Starbucks coffee. Very small store next to the check in counter selling some over the counter meds, instant noodles, , sweets and drinks. No ice cream though. Parking is $6 a day. Which is non customary imo in West Covina area with plenty of free parking spaces in different establishments, but its not bad at all compared to other Marriott that charges $43-$60 for a night parking. Fitness center also more spacious than other Marriot's fitness center. Basic equipment of treadmills, weights only. Staff are very friendly. Easy to request service, just through Marriot Bonvoy app. Mobile key also working, which is another plus. Location next to fwy. Within walking distance to Guadalajara Grill who has Mariachi nightly, mcDonalds, Starbucks, Dennys. Its also across Home Depot and Walmart Supercenter.

Yelp
I liked this courtyard. Staff are nice and the place was clean. The breakfast selections were great! This is conveniently located near the highway and there are numerous restaurants nearby. I enjoyed my stay here.

Yelp
Our second stay here and everything is good! Bice and inviting location, friendly service, great little restaurant with some creative food ideas and a comfortable bed! I am not a fan of paying for parking but it is not bad. Next time there is a BMX race in town we will stay here again.

Yelp
2 minutes from I-10. Located right next to Sizzler, Denny's, Guadalajara grill, McDonald's, Starbucks. And within 15 minutes you can find several other eating choices. The Bistro/bar here has excellent food and Starbucks coffee. I stayed here for seven nights and ate here most of the time. I had the grilled chicken Caesar on two occasions. Wingettes came with 10 pieces and carrots/cucumber. Their fries are some of the best I've ever had. Turkey - avocado BLT One morning I have the everything bagel with cream cheese, it's one of my favorites. Another morning I had a ham egg and cheese croissant. So we're definitely a couple of other dishes I would have loved to try and they were highly recommended by several different people I ran into throughout my time here. Chicken bacon flatbread and the Marguerite and basil flatbread. I saw their burger and it looks really good. I have a bar and really good drinks, along with a beer selection. Some things are fair price and others are a bit high, like the bottled water. But it is what it is and it was all really good. Service was excellent. Juan Pedro and Mario were the bar keepers, depending on the day of the week. Michael was a great help as was the morning staff Morning services 6:30a- 10a 7 days a week. Evening service 5p- 10p 7 days a week. Very attentive and kind service staff. Excellent coffee drinks. The front desk at the lobby staff was always helpful. Check in with super quick and easy. Thursday parking lot with a security gate. $6 a night for hotel guests. There is a nice size pool with a small hot tub. They do have several tables where you can sit down to eat and they have an individual TV. My stay was super quiet and the room was clean and comfortable. I stayed in 807 and prefer the upper levels to the lower levels. I had a great view of the sunset out my window.

Yelp
I'm very surprised to see the previous reviews of this hotel. Had I known, I would take more pictures. Our room was clean, comfortable and really spacious. The decor was updated and no funky smell at all. Did I mentioned clean already? I did not check the pool. I did not think I have to. I wish I read the old reviews earlier. The bar and market area in the lobby were open. There's Starbuck on the premise. I took their gym pictures because it's an important amenity for me. I ate whatever "must eat" whenever we are on vacation. So, need to burn some of the excess calories (So, I can eat more) Their gym is really spotless and clean. I enjoyed using their space. The weight machine is not well oiled. So, I did not used them. The dumbbells were clean. Definitely will stay here again

Yelp
Today, I got an email reply from the hotel and hotel of Americans. Obviously, even if you buy any value-added refund insurance, it can not guarantee your refund smoothly. Still ludicrous is the requirement to communicate with and consult with the hotel myself. The hotel responded by asking for a one-day deduction to return the room fee. It got me thinking about what kind of business cooperation there is between hotels and booking sites. I only hope that you will consider your financial risk when booking this hotel.

Riki S.

Yelp
I've never seen such bad hotel service. I booked a room from hotel of Americas for October 11th to 13th and purchased a refundable upgrade for an extra $23 just in case there are any changes in my schedule. Moreover, the cancellation policy clearly states that the full amount will be cancelled until check-in on the 11th. When I called the hotel front desk, the hotel manager asked me to deduct the room charge for that day, otherwise I would not be allowed to refund. When I said I had a refundable upgrade, the manager with the Indian accent immediately became very unfriendly. Don't give me two completely unrelated phone calls to solve the problem. However, so far I have not received my refund, obviously the hotel and the website are passing the buck to each other, I strongly recommend that you do not book a hotel here, in case you lose money.

Yelp
Most Marriot Courtyards serve a complimentary breakfast but this one does not. They also charge guests $6.00 daily for parking. The parking lot isn't even patrolled it's an opportunity for them to charge the customer for something that is usually free at most hotels. There was a dog that lives in a residential area behind the hotel that barked a few hours into the evening while I tried to sleep. In my humble opinion this hotel is run down and not worth the $170 a night they charge. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

Yelp
The location of this Courtyard does not look great but is a fairly safe and accessible area to the freeway. I mainly wanted to point that out for folks, who may be looking for more of a good-looking area to stay during their vacation. However, so far having stayed here for 3 days, I found that the staff is extremely friendly and caring and the hotel is very clean and well-kept. I did have an issue checking in and finding a room that had a broken locker box, but it was addressed quickly after a switch in the room. All of the beds, linens, and towels are very clean and plentiful. The care staff team is also professional with attention to detail. Again, the location and path to get to the hotel are not ideal, and also the hotel is under slight renovation and construction, especially on the higher floors (6th floor and above). So you may hear noise during the daytime (10 AM or so after) if you stay in the room. This should hopefully just be a phase that will pass for the hotel. PS: This hotel is situated conveniently between Whittier and San Marino/Pasadena in case it helps you plan around locations where this hotel might be convenient to help you get to.

Yelp
It's a "Courtyard". No frills or thrills about this one in particular. Kinda on the "older" side of courtyard Marriotts. The rooms have wallpaper that is peeling, the bathrooms may have been remodeled back in the early 2000s. A lot of the amenities were limited due to COVID as expected. No pool and the Starbucks in the lobby was not open. While the staff was genuine and welcoming the site had some irks that made the stay not so great. Here are my list of gripes: There is a parking fee for daily/nightly or hourly parking. The entrance is limited to the front lobby. The side exits have no re-entry/even with a key card. The hallway on the floor we stayed in (6th floor) had a strong scent of cigarette smoke. The TV in the room was not placed in a decent spot. The HVAC controls are on the unit itself. The shower heads are old and had limited spray patterns. The towel rack was located inside the shower/tub. Only redeeming thing is that it's priced accordingly.

Yelp
They have a microwave in the room!! What a luxury. Loyalty Benefits: It's interesting, sometimes they give global ambassadors a 25$ voucher at the Bestro/Starbucks downstairs and other times they don't. No lounges here.

Steven G.

Yelp
I had made a reservation and had to cancel due to a family emergency. They didn't seem to care and they still charged me for one night and I had cancelled 4 days before my reservation. I asked to speak to the manager and the guy on the phone refused to get him . So I made a phone call to corporate and they sent a message to this property to encourage them to refund both nights. I guess I will find out in 3-5 business days........

Chris J.

Yelp
I booked this hotel because I expected the service to be top tier and the rooms to be very clean. The desks were dusty. When I walked into the restroom, the toilet roles were almost done. As if someone had just used the restroom minutes before I arrived. The couch was very dusty as well, like it hadn't been cleaned in years. Later I made a delivery order, I expected the guy to come up and deliver to my room like I'm used to in most hotels I've ever stayed in. They said they don't allow it, no problem. Then I asked the person at the reception desk if they can find someone to help me bring it since I had just got out of the shower, they said no. His name was Christian exactly. Other people at the hotel said they usually bring it up for you so I was confused why I was treated differently. It felt like discrimination because why is it every other person gets their stuff brought up for them but not me? Idk if it has to do with my appearance/demographic as I don't look like many people in the hotel area... but I definitely will not be booking here again. I'll return to other hotels I'm used to with better service, better treatment and cleaner rooms

Yelp
Went here this past weekend for an Anniversary celebration and opted to stay for the night after traveling for four hours from Las Vegas. Check in with Roland was easy enough and gave us a room on the 6th floor. This hotel charges for parking. We will never return here as there are several options in the area. We placed not one, not two, but three calls to the front desk about people in the halls in and out of rooms and excessive noise. All we got was a "I'm sorry" from Vanessa at checkout who said she would contact corporate as there had been two different incidents at the hotel which their security was not able to handle. Roland was very apologetic as well but truth be told after paying so much for the inconvenience of not being able to sleep at all and travel four hours back home, it truly was surprising to get this email. Dear Ms. Vallejos, Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback regarding your stay. We understand how important it is to rest after an eventful day. We apologize for the amount of noise that occurred during the late night/early morning of your stay. Unfortunately, our efforts for noise reduction were not enough and we did have to escalate this to our local authorities, which did take time for us to get them here. We apologize again as you were affected by this, which we assure you is not a common occurrence at our hotel. Upper management has been made aware of this matter to ensure that we have better guidelines and procedures to ensure that this is prevented or swiftly handled in the future. Kind regards, Hector Reyes Front Office Manager Courtyard by Marriott Los Angeles / Baldwin Park hector.reyes@sgvrad.com 626-962-6000 ext. 7119 No compensation if any sort especially when the Office Manager indicates they obviously have issues. I gave two stars because Vanessa and Roland were polite, room was clean and banquet dinner was descent. Choose a different place to stay if you need a nights sleep.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel a few months ago and the room was very nice but in the morning, when we went to our car in the parking lot, the back window had been smashed and our guitar stolen from the back seat. We understand that the hotel is not responsible for damage to our car, but we were told by the staff that the manager would contact us later in the day. He did not contact us and when we called a week later, he did not apologize for the incident and said that Marriott corporate would be contacting me. I did not hear from corporate and called the manager back a few weeks later and left a voice mail to call me, but did not hear back from him. It has been 2 months and still no response.

Yelp
My family and I stayed at this hotel for 3 days when I went down to LA for a business trip. The check-in process was a smooth sail and the front desk clerk was very sweet. Parking is $6/daily or $2 hourly (max $8). The parking lot is well lit which gives me a peace of mind because I have had my vehicle broken into in the past so seeing all of these lights made me sleep a lot better. Our view was not very pretty as we had the room facing the neighbors backyard. The room was clean, came equipped with a mini fridge, a microwave plus a small safe in the closet. They have a starbucks inside of this marriott which is super convenient for those caffeine lovers however please be cautious, they don't make every drink on starbucks menu. If you're favorite drink isn't made here, not to worry there is literally a starbucks in the shopping center right next door. We utilized the hot tub for some relaxation and it was very calming! Although the hotel is located right next door to the freeway, we didnt hear much noises and we slept like a baby. Looking forward to coming back here next month!

Yelp
Can we implement ZERO STARS OR NEGATIVE STARS BELOW ZERO. This place is a joke for a Marriott. Management is unhelpful it's like staying in the past. The payment system is archaic the rooms have what looks like second hand store sofas. God don't sit on them or place your items on them. Gross. They have like 10 minimum wage useless employees. Why don't you update the hotel instead of having entry level employees that are unfamiliar with hospitality. The General manager looks like he should be working at Home Depot. No hospitality energy. He is robotic and annoyed by his position . Literally like Home Depot employees. It's on isle 39 just to send you away. Again no hospitality training. It feels like you are staying a glorified. Road side hotel. Not at a Marriott. Don't waste your money here. Go to an Air B & B. At least you don't have to deal with Crappie employees and you don't have to spend like your at a Marriott hotel and feeling like a roach road side motel.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE!! The general manager "called" us to say they might have broken into our car and nothing after that, he didn't let us see the camera footage, he didn't offer us any help. They broke into my dads car and the front desk general manager Hector wouldn't even help us!! He didn't want to give us the local police number and he was being very rude and terrible ... TERRIBLE HORRIBLE !!

Yelp
I'm not surprised this place has two stars. I booked a reservation and mistakenly had forgotten to add my fiancé's name and he is checking in before me. So like usual, I called up to have his name added. I had literally had just done this at the AC Hotel in Beverly Hills the night prior. The first representative put me on hold and then when he comes back he says "I'm sorry I can't add his name." So I asked him, are you serious? Should I send you an email with a picture of my drivers license? And then he said "no you have to do it through the app" which apparently doesn't let you when you book with points. I thought to myself, this kid has to be new so I asked to speak with the manager. Usforgio, or whatever his name is, gets on the phone and says "yes that's our policy, call Marriott to have his name added." So in complete disbelief, I called Marriott and had my fiancé's name added. I called back to confirm his name was on the reservation and he says "no, it's still not there call them back have them cancel the reservation and re-create a new one." WOW. Apparently loyalty to a company does nothing for you at this place because I'm literally booking a third night tomorrow that is being paid for with points because thats how much we stay at the Marriott. I had a lovely representative rebook me at a different location because I needed to be spared of having to put a face with that horrible horrible customer service. I highly recommend not coming here. Bonvoy members BEWARE.

Yelp
I thought I was going to a nice hotel. This hotel is nicely decorated. My room was nice. The bed not nice. Lumpy and in need of the dumpster. My problem really beside when I got there I had to pay an additional $10.00 for my car as it would be parked there overnight. Im just wondering what they expect people to do with their vehicles when they surprise you with this absurd fee. Plus an additional $100.00 deposit for the room. Now Ive stayed in plenty of hotels and do know that sometimes hotels do this. However, I booked my room through booking. Com and was unaware of this fee. I barely had the money to cover. By the way don't get your hopes up for a good cup of coffee. The nastiest coffee is placed in your room for your delight. Downstairs lobby has the Starbucks bistro that is permanently closed until further notice. My husband and I wont be back.

Yelp
Mmm I love being in Southern California, especially the gorgeous morning weather. Being able to wake up to sunshine and have it warm all day just gives me an amazing break from this bi-polar Bay Area weather. Located in a plaza with many stores and convenient shopping places around, Courtyard by Marriott was an ideal hotel for my family and I to check into. The parking lot was spacious, though there were no bell hops outside to grab my luggage. Check in was fast and simple. The staff were courteous and knew exactly how to handle a big crowd and was very accommodating to our family and requests. It's right off the 10 freeway, so it was easy for us to get to places minus that epic LA traffic at all times of the day. There's a bar and a dining area that's really well-made up at this location, which is the first I've ever seen at a Marriott. There's also a fabulous pool great for kids and lap swimming, as well as a hot tub! I was super excited because waking up at 6am, I got to swim and relax to that morning Socal weather and then worked out in their guest gym, which included tvs, treadmills, a bow flex machine, stationary bike and elliptical. Plus, free towels in the gym and the pool! I really liked that they had pure water filters for drinking since I'm so used to Bay Area filtered water. And they're everywhere, so free water yay! The rooms were well-kept and the towels were fluffy and clean. Everything in the room was perfect and I appreciate the staff for respecting our wishes and didn't come into our rooms. Comes with the complimentary ice and I don't remember a coffee machine, which made me kind of sad. Overall, the water was strong and the rooms were clean- two most important aspects for me when it comes to a foreign hotel. I'd come back next time I'm here for a visit because I left a happy camper.

Yelp
Ghetto/sketchy area surrounding this Marriott. This is further confirmed by the gated and paid parking for this location as well as sketch people walking around. Pros - received 2 nights free for this location. - empty fridge for your drinks/left overs - next to a Starbucks and some ok food options if needed Cons - shady area you don't want to walk around in after 10pm - parking is not free ($6/night for guests) unless you want to park your car outside of the gate, in which you leave yourself vulnerable to anything happening to your car - toilet paper is situated far from toilet.. like why? :( - no microwave for said left overs Overall- I wouldn't stay here again, but grateful we got free nights.

Yelp
I was very pleased and surprised how clean this hotel met my expectations. Due to some of the bad reviews I still took my chance of staying here. Got a hotel for my birthday weekend on Saturday with a few friends to avoid drinking and driving. The rooms were nice clean and the hotel lobby was decorated so beautiful. We took some great pics. We will definitely be back in the future. I highly recommend this hotel

Yelp
The Manager Henry Zamora talks down to his employees in front of customers. Henry Zamora has a bad attitude and not a friendly demeanor when people walk in to the lobby as the rest of his team. He is very unethical in front of customers, he seriously belittles his employees in front of clients. I give him 2 thumbs down. The bartender Juan Pablo and room service are great everyday.

Carlos L.

Yelp
Worst experience I have ever had as a hotel guest. I am 20 years old and I have stayed at multiple hotels after turning the age of 18 with no issue. I drove all the way from San Francisco to Baldwin Park for an important school event I had to attend. Upon arrival, after a day long drive, I was set to check in and suddenly was told that I had to be 21+ in order to check in (Keep in mind, it did not mention anything about age anywhere on their website or even inside the hotel). The front desk worker immediately told me that he would cancel my reservation and refund me. But, as I had mentioned, I drove from the Bay Area, so I had nowhere to stay. Without any sympathy towards my situation, I was told that I could find another hotel a couple miles away and I pretty much had no choice but to leave with nowhere to stay. I have never been so disregarded as a customer and on top of that, they did not refund me for an entire 2 weeks! It turned out that the front desk worker didn't even refund me and I had to call in order for them to actually process the refund. I will not be returning here and I would definitely not recommend telling anybody to stay here. Worst and most stressful experience I have ever had to endure.

Karen R.

Yelp
amazing service! will definitely come back. The bartender was great. You should be very proud of your staff! front desk! security too!

Yelp
0 stars if I could. Very outdated. Stayed this past weekend and our heater caught on fire and spit out some sparks, left a burning smell in the room. When I shined my light inside before going to talk about it downstairs, there was so much dust build up. Nothing looks properly maintained really except the lobby. Starbucks wasn't open in the hotel per the hours. A lot of bugs. We had random puddles of water forming from taking showers even though nothing came from the shower itself. One formed by the sink and the toilet. Just tried to pay it no mind in order to get through the weekend. Hate to complain. But, not worth the stay. Maybe overnight, but with the lack of hygiene this place has no. Customer service was good I'll give it that, but doesn't discount the stay.

Yelp
I've been here for 6 days and have a few more to go. It's been a great stay from the get go. I was warmly greeted upon arrival and checked in within minutes. I arrived to a clean very spacious room. I found a good sized fridge and microwave. They even have smart TV's. I was antsy my first night but too tired from travel to venture out. So I wondered downstairs to Bistro for a beer. The young man behind the bar was friendly and attentive. Now this part may seem odd but it resonated with me. I had to do laundry here. The laundry room was immaculate. In my travels that is not usually the case. And I get it...it's a laundry room! But someone here is paying attention to the details.

Yelp
Located in a sketchy part of town. A bunch of random people were hanging out outside of the hotel. We got there a little late, so we didn't get a chance to check out the pool. Our key cards didn't work half of the time. Our room smell of strong perfume. Their mini shop only offers snacks, no toiletries. They do not offer extra pillows. Beds are comfy and smart tvs were a plus. It was quiet at night, very stuffy so we turned on the AC. Horrible Idea. Ac unit sounds like an 18 wheeler idling in your room with a few thuds every few minutes. Once I turned it off, we had a great nights sleep. For the price per night I expected a little more.

Yelp
I am not one to give bad reviews but I am very disappointed with the courtyard Marriott. To begin, my brother was in from out of town and in my eyes this hotel was the nicest in the area so I told him to book here. My mom went in to check in with him and minutes later they come out with his bags, I ask what happened and they state that they wouldn't accept his card because she has a typo on it, it says Ansel instead of Angel. Of course that is understandable because being in California it is very strict with fraud. So I stated that he could pull out cash and I would put the deposit on my card and we headed back to check in. As we were walking up there was an older taller gentleman standing outside with his arms crossed, from the looks of him I had no idea he even worked at the hotel but he was just staring uncomfortably at us. He followed us in and proceeded to begin the check-in process once more. My brother asked where is the ATM and he told him where it was and the ATM wasn't working but being that he works at that hotel he would know that it wasn't working so why would he send him? My brother then stated "hey man the ATM's not working" and he responded rudely "well then I guess it's not working" in a tough luck sort of way. At that point I already realized that this man did not want my brother staying here. We were going to the ATM that my brother stated that this was stupid because he didn't understand why they couldn't accept his card, I explained it to him but as we were leaving the man came out and said that he canceled the reservation so that we wouldn't have any other issues because we called him stupid which was not true. The way he was treating us felt as if we were looked down on which is really sad and unfortunate. He then proceeded to stand out in front and taunting with his arms crossed just walking around staring. I am usually a calm person but it took everything in me to not react and yes like any normal person I did react and tell him that he was very unprofessional and that I didn't appreciate it. I work for Harley-Davidson dealership and take multiple trips throughout the year and which they do book Marriott amongst other hotels this incident has made me feel very uncomfortable, I have a reservation with the Marriott in San Diego this weekend and I want to cancel just because of this incident. On a good note Home2 by Hilton was a much better fit. The hotel is beautiful and the staff was amazing upon check-in.

Yelp
So far a good start, after reading the negative reviews am sure glad I am not experiencing them but an update if I do. Eating places with in walking distance and staff was friendly upon check in. You need to use your room key to access the elevator of which I was not informed at the front desk but the small sign explains it. The hotel offers a small "Bristo" but no one was there to partake in the free popcorn. Overall the per diem is met and another commute to downtown LA early to beat the traffic...yeah right!

Yelp
Not accommodating. Called on the phone to make a request and the guy working the night shift didn't want to lift a finger to help. How busy can it be at midnight when I called? Check-in took forever. Not a very polished property for a Marriott.

Yelp
The rooms are nice and clean But I will never stay here again. It's nearly midnight right now and I have one guy next-door screaming in Chinese, while the guy in the room on the other side is screaming in another language. Even before they were talking loudly, I could hear every word. Absolutely horrible. Especially considering I have a five-year-old staying with me, and they have surrounded us by the loud obnoxious a-holes. We will be switching hotels tomorrow night. Perhaps we will get some sleep then.

Yelp
I stayed in this hotel for a night to attend a wedding nearby. The location is good because it's inside a shopping center which means you can just walk to the restaurants and it's just off the ramp of the freeway 10 so it's really accessible. They have swimming pool and hot tub. It's not really that big but it's better than nothing. The rooms are clean and the furnishings are up to date. The only thing I don't like in the room is they don't have a refrigerator so there's no way you can stash food or drinks. If you want cold drinks, you can go get ice from their ice machines located in every floor. The problem is, I didn't know if all of them were in working condition because the one on my floor (I was on 9f) was broken so I went to the 8f which is also broken. I ended up going to the 7f! That's a free cardio exercise for me. There's free coffee and tea in the room. Please don't drink it! It's nasty but if you're in a tight budget and too lazy and don't want to get SB coffee (which is by the way within walking distance too) then go ahead, drink it but don't tell me I didn't warn you. There is a full bar at the lobby. Mario the bartender is super friendly. If you're by yourself, he will definitely keep you entertained with his stories. Good old man he is. I will definitely stay at this hotel in the future if I'll be in the area which I highly doubt it :) Oh yeah, if you want to party, there is nothing close by within 6miles.

Yelp
Nice & quiet when you walk in, friendly & professional staff. We were here for about two months; Robert, Kathy, Fernie & Henry (manager) always saw to it to call us when we had a delivery. The housekeeping always delivered whenever requested & the maintenance was on point! We would absolutely stay here again & definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable stay in the area.

Yelp
We used to love coming to this Marriott, every time we came down to LA, we'd stay at this Marriott. My husband is a gold member but our last visit consisted of bad plumbing and bed bugs. Do Not Stay Here!!! I repeat. Do Not Stay Here!! We did a late check in and arrived at the hotel around close to midnight on Friday, April 5. We got checked in and was given room 522. Once reaching the room, I went to use the bathroom and notice a small pool of water under the sink. We called down to the front desk and they sent up someone to investigate. The maintenance guy determined it was not from the sink but from the toilet. He wiped it up and just said call down in the morning and they can send someone to look at the plumbing. It was late and was told there was no other rooms available. After the maintenance guy left, I returned to the bathroom only to find a live bed bug crawling on the walls. My husband called down to front desk again, caught the bed bug in a cup and we packed up our things. The manager came up with the maintenance guy again to investigate, once they found that it was indeed a bed bug, They gave us another room real quick, and it was a suite... after being told there were no other rooms available. We're gold members, we didn't care what type of room it was... we were up until 3am looking through the room to make sure there were no other bed bugs just so we could somewhat sleep... I just spent the week trying to contact Marriott's customer service.... I called the Monday, April 8, when we returned home, spoke to Chris and he told me it would take 48 hours for a response... 48 hours rolls around, still no response, I call back, spoke to Brooklyn on April 10th, who then said it's suppose to take 3-5 business days for a response... still no response. Today, i call back and spoke with Donna, who was finally able to contact the manager of this location and they were only willing to give us back half our points that we used. Honestly, save yourself the trouble and give yourself piece of mind... stay somewhere else.

Yelp
Stayed here for a night, and my experience was delightful. All the workers were friendly, and helped me with any questions I asked. The hotel room was nicely organized, and very aesthetic to look at. A price of $120, for a night, wasn't too bad either. Will definitely book another room here, if ever needed.

Yelp
If I could rate it no stars I would !!! I don't like to write negative reviews but this Is something that people looking into staying here should know!!Never had a problem staying here before actually thought it was pretty nice. This night staying here was awful !!!! I was on the 9th floor and there was so much noise above me . I started getting itchy and didn't know why, as soon as I turned my head to another pillow I saw a bug move by. When I got up to see with a flashlight I saw bed bugs.I immediately called the desk wanting a refund and they told me they couldn't they will just move me to another room. They moved me to another room But honestly I was so paranoid and disgusted to sleep there I ended up leaving and loosing my money !!! The employees didn't care and I should have honestly made a bigger deal about it. Truly disappointed !!! Left with bite marks!!!!! Honestly not worth it!!!!!!

Yelp
Walked in for check-in, and there were three employees there. Was I acknowledged by any of them? No. The associates weren't with guest or on the phone, yet no one acknowledged or sought to assist me. An associate came from the back and checked me in. I had been traveling for six hours and decided to grab a snack from their bistro. I ordered quesadillas from my room and went downstairs to pick them up. Two orders of quesadillas were $20. Twenty bucks I could have saved. They were the most flimsy and falling apart quesadillas ever! So, the customer service and the bistro sucks! Furthermore, the ice machine on my floor was broken, had to go to another floor for ice. I needed to wash clothes, the hotel offered complimentary detergent and fabric softener. I go to the laundry facility and there's only one washer and one dryer for the entire hotel! I've had better Marriott experiences for sure, this location just wasn't it.

Yelp
Room was nice and clean and the rates were more than reasonable. Staff was courteous. I saw a Bistro on the Lobby level but it always looks unstaffed.

Yelp
Had my daughter's party in their banquet room. I was NOT pleased at all... -staff weren't that helpful during the event. I was too busy attending to my guests not knowingly, the tickets for the kids were not distributed ahead of time so kids ate the adult rate. Off course i have to pay extra because according to the staff the kids already ate ahead of time. I NEVER saw during the party any tickets for the kids. I looked at all the photo of the photographer I hired that day. So beware of this scheme this is probably how they rack up your bill. - staff did not even bother to turn the lights on lighter the dessert table. The entire party it was dark. Off course I was too busy even to think about it. I realized all the major flaws after the party when i was at home. - 2 tables total of 16/18 chairs were empty, guests who rsvp'd did not arrive but anyway, a few guests who came a little bit late around 1:30pm, were not able to eat because according to the staff there were no food left in the kitchen. Big question??? -i really wanted to complain to Vanessa (event manager of marriot) but she was not there. Nobody even took her spot to help me coordinate. I wanted to get a refund back. I was sooo unhappy. The money we paid was not n even worth it. Soo displeased. After the party they had me sign a document stating that everything went well. Of course i was sooo exhausted not thinking about everything that happened for the moment.

Yelp
love the water shower heads and the pressure is so great after a tired day. Breakfast was great! And they have starbucks inside the hotel, thought they don't serve Starbucks inside your hotel room and the coffee inside the room sucks!!!

Yelp
Poor customer service. They charged me for parking when I did not have a vehicle. I told them at check-in. However, they still charged me. I spoke with the general manager and he has to wait until the worker return to work to verify that I did not get a pass. It seems like a lie because he seems to mention the night auditor, whom did not check me in. I will file a dispute with my card company. Check in was horrible. The elevator was not working properly. I only stayed for 2 hours, left and did not return. But they still want to charge me for parking. Bathroom needs upgrading. Sink was stopped up. Room felt disgusting.

Yelp
Nasty rooms. Our room had large urine stains all over the fold out couch cushions. I called the front desk and spoke with the manager who didn't understand and then said Ok I'll send someone up tk change them ... umm my kids were sitting and jumping on that couch that's so gross. The hotel stated that I would have to speak with Expedia and expedia stated I'd have to speak with the hotel .. end result nothing was done. The Starbucks is a joke. No one is ever at the counter. O and if you happen to want lunch at the hotel they don't serve that there only breakfast and dinner. No pizza place will deliver after calling 4 that are close I gave up and we at the sizzlers close by. O and a 20 oz soda is 3.54. Yikes We were locked out of our room twice when the keys decided not to work and had to wait for help. The bed is hard. The air conditioner sounds like a lawn mower in the room so you wake up every time if kicks on. The bathroom has no fan or air circulating so you sweat like crazy trying to use the mirror. Don't waste your time here the pictures look nice and most of these Marriott ' s are great, but not this one. Drive further down to find a hotel.
