"Cowgirl Creamery is a cheese shop in the Ferry Building, and while you might not be willing to just eat a whole wedge of gruyere for lunch, going to Sidekick (their cafe next door) and getting it melted between two slices of sourdough with a cup of tomato soup is a very good idea. On weekdays, Sidekick also does raclette, which is just as much a spectator sport as it is a cheese delivery method. Our second stop at the Ferry Building was for some grilled cheese. We went with their special of the day which was a butternut squash grilled cheese. It was phenomenal as were the pickles that came with it. The cheese was soft and gooey with great flavor. It came with several types of cheeses on it. Luckily they have a few seats and we were able to snag one to enjoy our sandwich. If you love grilled cheese, this place is for you!

Pricey. Got the grilled cheese of the day which was sundried tomato with Italian herbs $9.75. Not worth it. Simply tasted like pizza. Had to wait in a line. Also, weekend raclette is not a thing anymore. It’s weekdays raclette now. Said it was because of the overflowing crowd on weekdays due to their raclette 🤷🏻‍♀️

Perfect crisp. Great surroundings. They buttet their sourdough bread from both sides, use high quality local cheese and you can feel it in every bite. Crispy and fluffy, simple and soooo good

The grilled cheese was excellent! Definitely worth the bit of a wait as they make everything fresh. They get their bread from the Acme bread company so you know that's gonna be good. The pickles were excellent as well. Definitely try this place out if you're a grilled cheese fan!

We were only in town for one day, but at least our cruise ship gave up plenty of time - 8a-11p. Plenty of time to explore with our San Fran friends! Fellow elite, Ms. S. is a fan of this place and introduces me to this place. It was a refreshing and easy walk from our cruise port and the perfect place to grab a breakfast sandwich. Goat Cheese and Seasonal Jam - Simple and nice. Soft bread and bold flavors. 3/5 Cheesey Bacon Breakfast Sandwich - Amazing! Served on a longer loaf and cut in half - this thing was pretty huge. More importantly, it was absolutely dripping with gooey cheese! Add bacon and things only get better. This was definitely 5/5. Blueberry Milk - Pretty straightforward. Blueberry flavored milk. Not overly sweet or thick, it was just right. 3/5

Always crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. But it is a great place to eat something like pasta, salad or sandwich. It offers several vegetarian options. There is not much place to sit, you have a counter with some benches.
