"The ganjang-gyejang (marinated raw crab) to rival (or according to some, outright surpass) Soban’s offering is on this humble little storefront off Vermont. Sashimi and marinated crabs are classic get-together fare in many Korean households." - Euno Lee

This is genuinely my new favorite, must visit restaurant when I'm in LA because this soy sauce crab is one of my favorite foods of all time and it's been impossible to find one that's good in the States. They don't take reservations and it's not huge, so on a weekend you might have a wait, but it really is such a great meal I can't endorse it enough. My order is: - Korean soy sauce crab (the American was is blue crab which is fine, but not close to the same thing, I'd say one order for two people) - Bo ssam, the boiled pork belly - Spicy seafood stew (small, just for the broth)

I recently dined at Crab House LA and had a delightful experience! The restaurant has a homey decor that makes you feel right in Korean We ordered a variety of dishes, but the standout for me was definitely the uni – we each got our own plate and it was absolutely delicious! The seafood, especially the marinated dishes, was flavorful and well-prepared. However, we did notice that since we arrived at 9 PM, the staff started clearing up by 9:50 PM, lifting chairs and getting ready to close. While we understood the situation as we were the last table, it did feel a bit rushed. Overall, a great place for seafood lovers, especially if you’re a fan of uni!

I came here because Lisa Blackpink and it’s worth it! It’s my first time trying Korean raw crab marinated. It tastes so amazing. My favorite one is the spicy raw crab. It’s not that too spicy but it’s so flavorful and I love it at the first bite. Also the Salmon head was phenomenal. A must to try!! 🫠Only One thing that I really disappointed was the Uni rice bowl. I think it tasted nothing but the Uni was really fresh. Also our servers were really nice to us. They teach us how to eat and take care us very well. 👍🏻👍🏻

Was the best raw crabs I’ve ever had. Food was great. Atmostphere was warm enough to feel like I was in Korea. I love all the raw dishes. But it was pity that we cooked the hotpot too long, making the crab over cooked, losing its freshness and flavor. Would difinitely recommend for raw seafood here !

Google
⭐☆☆☆☆ Extremely disappointed after all the hype. Yes, the raw crab and uni look great on social media, but reality doesn’t match the photos or the price. The marinated crab was way too salty and overly sweet, completely masking any natural crab flavor. The uni rice? Tiny portion for the outrageous price — tasted bitter and definitely not fresh like they claim. The worst part? The service. Staff were rude and dismissive, clearly overwhelmed by the crowds they can’t manage. We waited nearly an hour, only to be rushed through the meal like we were an inconvenience. Not to mention the cramped, uncomfortable seating. For the money you spend here, you’d expect fresh, high-quality seafood and decent service — sadly, neither delivered. If you’re craving Korean raw crab, save your wallet and your stomach and look elsewhere. This place is all hype, no substance.

Delicious marinated raw crabs! So soft and fresh, yum. Leaning towards too flavorful but with the rice and banchan, it all still tastes amazing. We came on a Saturday around 4 pm and we were seated immediately. The waitress provided two dishes on the house which was really great: spicy monkfish head and a cabbage salad. Wait staff was attentive and timely. I highly recommend coming here.

Google
I prefer the Korean crab than the spicy one. The overall quality is good. It is different from the raw crab or shrimp in Chaoshan, which I like more. The Korean crab tastes sweet to me but it is perfect when I ate it together with rice. I will not recommend the spicy raw crab. The urchine rice was also delicious, and I recommend one for each person! 3-29 update: Pretty good. ~60 per person with two friends.

Google
A great place for Korean raw crab. I rarely had one because they need to be fresh for me not to have stomach ache. (This place is great, I didn’t feel anything after eating.) All you do is mix everything together and eat. The fancy uni rice bowl is also worth a try. I liked it the most actually. The owner barely spoke any English. We had trouble communicating but there was a fun y moment. She asked me if I was Korean or Chinese. I said I was Thai and she pointed me to Lisa Blackpink’s signature and said “Oh Thai! Lisa! Lisa has been here!”. Parking is $3 valet only. I don’t know if the price is always the same though because I went at weekday lunchtime.

I had an amazing experience at the crab house in Korea Town, Los Angeles. Their soy crab is outstanding—fresh, perfectly marinated, and incredibly delicious. The seafood soup was also a highlight, bursting with flavor. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving quality seafood!

Yelp
So excited to finally try this place! We came on a Saturday around 12pm, and me and my fiance were seated immediately. It's a fairly small restaurant, but there were only a few parties at the time. All the tables were filled after we left about an hour later, though! We ordered the soy marinated crab, spicy crab, and the seafood tofu soup. Rice is included too! Everything came out very quickly. The banchan was good, and they also gave us a complimentary salmon head! It had a nice flavor. Just a few minutes after the banchan arrived, they brought the crabs. I haven't had much raw crab before since it's not that common in the Bay Area yet, but this was definitely the best tasting crab I've had and it had no fishy aftertaste. I really liked both flavors, and my fiance liked the spicy one a little more. The staff were nice too. They had given a bowl of nori, imitation crab, seaweed, and fish egg that we didn't know what to do with. The worker came up to us and explained to squeeze the soy crab into the bowl and add rice and mix. They were out of the uni, so we ordered the seafood tofu soup since it was a cold day. It was super red, but not too spicy! It had a good amount of seafood too. Overall, I think the price was decent for what we got! It ended up being ~$100 after tip. I was stuffed after! I will definitely be back for the crabs, and hopefully can try the uni next time.

Yelp
*Review is based on the Soy Marinated Korea Crab* I arrived at noon on a Sunday and was seated right away. I ordered the #1 korea crab ($39.99) & it was the perfect serving for 1 person! The presentation of the crab was beautiful. I was disappointed in the freshness of the crab. Flavor was good in the body portion of the crab but lacking in claws. Felt like the claws wasn't marinated enough and didn't have enough flavor. As an avid lover of marinated crab, this meal was okay. Glad I tried it but would prefer other places in ktown over this. Freshness: 4.5/10 Flavor: 6/10 Value: 5/10 Parking: the restaurant is situated around a small parking lot. had no issues at 12pm on sunday but might be packed during dinner times.

Yelp
Revisited Crab House recently on a Friday night and was glad/surprised that there was no wait for our party of 5! Prior times I've visited, there would be a lot of people waiting + parking would be difficult but that was not the issue for us. I was really excited to take my friends here since it's been on their list for awhile. We ordered the soy marinated crabs (KR version), seafood pancake, the soy marinated seafood platter, braised short ribs, and the uni bowl. We ordered a decent amount and we were pleasantly surprised by the "service/on the house" salad and the salmon. We pretty much devoured everything. The soy marinated crabs were delicious but we wish they were a bit more meaty. We only got to try the Korean crabs which are supposed to be bigger than the U.S. ones. I've only had them at Crab House so I can't compare but my friends that have had it in Korea have preferred the ones they had in Korea which is far. I like how they provide a bowl with mixings so you can mix your rice + eat with the crabs. It's a perfect bite. The soy marinated seafood platter is always my favorite because the texture of everything is super soft. My favorite is probably the abalone on the platter. Presentation does change often because it looked a bit lackluster this time vs the previous times I've had it. The octopus was thin sliced and hidden on our plates even though last time there was none! It was a nice surprise also. We wanted to get the XL uni bowl for all of us to share but they ran out so we just got the Large which ended up allowing us one spoonful per person. It was a good spoonful but the uni was def smaller than we wanted them to be. The seafood pancake looked really crispy and delicious and it was but the dipping sauce they provided was overtly salty so it was not our favorite. We've definitely had better/bigger for the price we paid. Overall, I think it's worth trying at least once since there's not that many restaurants that have gejang still.

Yelp
My first time trying raw marinated crab, and I wasn't disappointed. The soy marinated crab was succulent and deeply umami. It's a bit pricy for the portions but I enjoyed the experience. This place has a small restaurant feel and staff is friendly.

Chris C.

Yelp
Definitely a great place for soy marinated crab. It was about $40/crab which isn't cheap but was worth it for this treat. The crab comes with a bowl of goodies (crunchy seaweed, fish eggs, etc) eat with your crab. I also had the biggest uni which apparently just came in. It was HUGE. Very unique dish. I loved the presentation. The uni wasn't as sweet as a Hokkaido uni but they were really big. Overall very quick service, food came out fast. Took a little bit to flag down our server for like extra forks or some plain water (which never got refilled), kind of interesting vibe Power uni Braised rib Soy marinated ribeye

Yelp
The famous raw marinated crab spot in Los Angeles where a lot of Kpop stars visited! I tried: 1. Marinated crab 2. Soy marinated crab 3. Uni bowl

Yelp
This is my second time at Crab House and I will say I think their specialty is their Soy Marinated Raw Crab over everything else! Soy Marinated Raw Crab (5/5): This is a must get if you want to experience first time trying raw crab. Their soy flavor is so simple but packed with umami flavor! It's lightly savory and when biting into the crab it's pretty meaty and melts in your mouth. They give generous amounts of banchan that are all so flavorful with this dish. Crabs have good amount of filling and fresh! I would come back just for this dish. Spicy Marinated Raw Crab (3/5): This flavor wasn't the best for me as it just tasted like gochujang slapped all over the crab which didn't blend well with me. I love spicy but don't love the taste with the crab. It was too salty to my liking and the spicy marinade overshadowed the raw marinated crabs fresh taste. I would stick to soy marinated only next time. Uni Rice Bowl (2/5): This was my second time getting this Uni rice bowl and it still disappointed everytime. The Uni is not fresh at all and slimy. Due to the uni not tasting good, when you mix it with everything else it just equals a bad time. I would skip this personally if you know how to taste good Uni.

Yelp
Solid raw marinated crab spot in LA Ktown! My experience here was pretty good. My friends and I got the Korea Crab and the USA Crab and they were pretty good. Fresh, good soy sauce flavor, and yummy. The shells were a bit hard to crack though, so I wish they gave us shell crackers in the beginning. Despite it being good, I've had better raw marinated crab elsewhere. My favorite though was the Uni Rice Bowl. The uni was delicious and mixed with the rice and roe was a great combo. The spicy stir-fried squid was also solid as well. The banchan variety was good, I liked the fresh kimchi the best. The prices for the food were a bit high for my liking, so I wouldn't really try to come here often. The service was okay, it was a bit difficult to flag down our waiters. There's a private valet parking lot which is $4 outside. The interior is pretty casual.

Yelp
Very solid, taste good, and kind service. We went on a Dodgers game day, and there wasn't a wait! We ordered spicy marinated crab, soy marinated crab, the uni rice bowls and the octopus (I think). All the items were delicious, and it came with a good amount of banchan. We got some seaweed and sauce that you can mix into the rice and it goes so yummy with the raw crab. This is a family restaurant with lots of Korean families there when we went, so that's how we knew we picked something good. I definitely recommend the uni bowl because it's so yummy and so quality. Definitely bringing my out of towners here!

Yelp
Amazing food, amazing service! I have been highly anticipating visiting when I was in town ever since I would see people post all the food from this establishment. I wasn't disappointed one bit. We got seated pretty quickly around 1 pm for lunch. Their menu is straight to the point on one page, but it seems they're trying new menu options! The owners so kindly dropped by our table with two dishes on the house they were testing out, one was a gochujang stewed fish head, and the other was green lettuce "salad" with this delicious toasty black sesame dressing. I am still thinking about that salad! The fish head was stewed wonderfully it was very soft and easy to separate any bones. We ordered the raw soy marinated Korean crab, soy marinated seafood assortment, and medium uni bowl. The raw crab was very supple and bouncy, every bite was so good I was pouring the sauce all over my rice. The shells were too difficult to squeeze the meat out of. They were chopped up into manageable pieces. The raw seafood assortment was tasty too. I loved the raw sweet shrimp on top, my partner enjoyed the scallops. The uni seafood bowl was my FAVORITE that lunch. Be careful for little pieces of the uni she'll when you're eating out of the shell :) it wasn't a big deal, just something to watch out for. Their side dishes were a hit! The service was impeccable. Quick seating, we were checked in on regularly and the owners came by to teach us the best way to eat the crabs. The place had some tvs playing with shows, but nothing loud. It really is a great mom and pop shop restaurant. I hope to be back again next time I'm in LA and try their spicy raw marinated items!

Yelp
Amazing. Period. The Crab House is in a small little marketplace on Vermont. The food is delicious! The owners are super friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is authentic Korean Raw Crab. Delicious and fresh. The crab meat is heartier and more flavorful than the USA crabs. Grade: A USA crabs. Still delicious but a little smaller. Sweet meat and marinated perfectly. Grade: A Life uni. Choose between 5 sizes of uni. They make a delicious uni sushi bowl by using the uni shell. Absolutely delicious. Grade: A+ Owners gave us 2 complimentary salmon collars braised in Korean sauce. Delicious Service is fast. Prices are reasonable.

Yelp
I recently visited Crab House and it was a pleasant experience. As soon as you walk in, there's a strong seafood aroma that instantly sets the tone for a seafood feast. The ambiance making you feel right at home. My friends and I walked in around 12 noon and it wasn't too busy and got a table for a group of 5 right away. The aunties were incredibly nice and showed us how to eat the crabs properly. The menu offers a great variety of seafood options, and I was impressed by the banchan selections that complemented the main meals perfectly. Each one felt like a little taste of home, adding to the comfort of our dining experience. Of course I had to get the infamous soy marinated crabs. This delicacy features fresh crabs that are well seasoned and marinated, preserving their natural sweetness while adding a unique depth of flavor. It's a must-try for any seafood lover, offering a distinctive texture and a taste that's hard to beat. I also ordered the #4 raw seafood marinated in soy sauce plate that has scallops, abalone, shrimps, very good dish for sharing since you get to try a bite of everything my favorite out of the 3 was the abalone! The uni bowl was also very good but I don't think I would order it again next time. While the prices are on the higher side, you truly get what you pay for: high-quality crabs and fresh ingredients. The portion sizes were generous, and everything we tried was delicious. Overall, Crab House is a good choice for seafood enthusiasts looking for a genuine, homey dining experience in LA!

Yelp
Came after work (530pm) on a Tuesday and it was nice and quiet. Order for 3 people: Korea crab x2 - 10/10 Large uni rice bowl x2 - 9/10 Soft tofu stew, medium - 8/10 Rice Banachan (tteokbokki, bean sprouts, tofu, glass noodle, mackerel & root/turnip/squash) Total: $182 This was the perfect amount of food for 3 of us (2 girls, 1 guy) who were only moderately hungry. This was our first time having the crab and it was sooooo good. We ordered the Korea crab and uni bowl based on a previous rec and passed on the US crab from the same rec. The crab was so sweet and soft I can't even describe the flavor, and the soy sauce based marinade/sauce balances the sweetness of the crab. Be careful, those tiny bits of shells will get you! The uni bowl was delectable! The uni was a bit more golden yellow color vs that bright orange I am used to seeing at sushi so I was a bit nervous but it was incredible. Maybe not the best uni I've ever had but for the presentation of the rice bowl and the large slices of uni you get in each, it's totally worth it. The soondubu was the right move too. It offered such a nice variety of texture and heat to our meal. It does come with tofu and seafood and the medium had the perfect kick. We enjoyed it but didn't finish all of it since we were full. Overall, I think this was the way to go vs AYCE raw crab. And splitting 2 between 3 people was perfect, plus getting other dishes. At AYCE we would've had to each order our own (I think T equals fish menu also says min order of two? But I haven't been so can't confirm). I would 100% come back here and bring friends who wanted to try something different, or are ready for something other than KBBQ.

Yelp
It was my first time eating raw marinated crab. I've seen videos online and wanted to try it out. My party and I came later around 8:30 pm on a Thursday so the free parking lot was pretty empty. We were greeted by the waitress and we told her it was our first time eating raw marinated crab. Restaurant ambiance was fine. She gave us a run down of the menu and gave a few suggestions. Everything was flavorful and something that I would definitely eat again. It was on the saltier side but the free barley tea that they give you helps you wash the flavor of the food down. Overall it was a great experience. It was definitely not cheap but I would eat there again.

Jen T.

Yelp
Came here during a weekday and it was pretty empty which I found soo surprising because this place is a hidden gem! Literally everything we ordered was sooo amazing. The raw crab never dissapoints! We got both the reg soy and spicy raw crab along with some other raw items, and a hot tofu soup to warm our bellies after eating all the raw foods.

Joseph M.

Yelp
I went on a spontaneous solo trip to LA and this was a place I've been wanting to go for a while. I've seen it go viral on social media but I've never had the chance to try it, but now here I am. I came in and ordered the large uni rice bowl and their spicy raw marinated crab. They also gave a small assortment of complimentary banchan. The uni rice bowl was amazing! The assortment of textures and flavors in the bowl just go so well together. As for the spicy raw marinated crab, it was my first time trying it and I was not disappointed. The crab was kinda creamy and the seasoning had a little bit of sweetness to it which caught me off guard. It goes really well with a bowl of rice. The service here was really good. The waitress serving me was really sweet and she was great at giving recommendations. This restaurant is pretty small and is located in Ktown. Definitely recommend checking this spot out. Try it if you like. :)

Celina M.

Yelp
Me and my husband's first food stop on our vacation and we were pleasantly surprised and satisfied with the experience. It was me and my husband's first time trying raw marinated crab and it was definitely not disappointing. The restaurant is tiny and the parking lot area was very small. When parking, be very careful around that area as the parking lot is small and there are not many parking spaces. The staff there were very kind and even gave us two dishes that were on the house. The ambiance of the place was nice. Not loud and not too quiet either. The food was flavorful and it was super tasty. Wish there was more marinated crabs, but for the price of how much stuff we got, it was a decent amount. Overall, the place was pretty good and I would come back next time to eat some more raw marinated crab.

Alli W.

Yelp
Hands down, the best spicy marinated crabs in K-town! We got raw crabs with rice, spicy marinated crabs, and uni bowl to go and the wait was about 30mins. Service was spoken volumes by a nice lady who took our orders and gave us tips on how to eat the crabs properly when we picked up the food. Everything was incredibly fresh and soooo tasty. X-small and small uni bowls were sold out so we settled for medium. Price point -- pretty expensive but I'd highly recommend to at least give this place a try!

Hannah H.

Yelp
Crab House is such a good affordable option if you're looking to try raw marinated crab. The interior of the restaurant felt like a mom and pop shop which made my first experience feel cozy and authentic. This was my first time trying raw marinated crab and I was so impressed. The crabs were so flavorful and not too overwhelmingly spicy. The servers were attentive with our table - teaching us the best way to enjoy the crabs and how to get all the possible meat we could. The uni bowl was also delicious. All the toppings together complimented each other so well. I would definitely get these items again. The only minor downside is that the crabs felt as if they were on the smaller side, but I do feel like you get what you paid for. Parking: Valet parking for the Crab House plaza but street parking is available.

Kailyn P.

Yelp
Authentic korean restaurant with great dishes! Even Blackpink Lisa visited :) Seafood pancake - really good pancake that was flavorful, crunchy and FILLED with toppings Spicy rae marinated crab - tastes like what i imagined. Super soft, not too spicy and fresh. Pairs really well with their rice and seaweed

Juan F.

Yelp
I will keep this short since there are already tons of reviews so I must not need to be repetitive. Just come here. The raw crab is amazing. Workers are extremely friendly and welcoming. Food comes out quick and its simply delicious. I cannot wait to come back.

Veerawan T.

Yelp
We decided to come here just for their raw marinated crab (soy sauce flavor) because there's limited restaurants that offers this esp in the bay area. There were two different types USA crab and Korean Crab - I believe the price difference was $10. This place didn't disappoint at ALL. Service was great - older workers who will take care of you. :) You'll have to pay for parking if you decide to park in the parking lot. You can also find street parking as well. Understandably, their prices are on the higher spectrum with their quality menu items. Korean Raw Marinated Crab (39.99) - Came with mini sides dishes of spicy rice cakes, fishcake, noodles, and beansprouts. The lady handed us a bowl with seaweed salad, masago, crashed seaweed, and imitation crab meat. There's also a bowl of rice. You are provided with gloves and container to throw away your shells. You squeeze in the crab into the bowl and mix them together. It's delightfully incredible. The eggs from the crab has a salty-ish aftertaste and raw crab taste jelly-like. The fresh crab covered with their house made soy sauce which was umami/sweet. Once mixed with all the ingredients that came with it, it was the perfect combination. I'm in love!! Surprisingly, I was full after 1 crab.

Noe C.

Yelp
LA Crab House is a restaurant located in Koreatown which specializes in marinated crab. There's paid parking out front, a restroom available, and limited indoor seating. Their menu is mostly in shared portions rather than individual sizes. The service was standard for this kind of restaurant. Food Funny enough, as someone with a crab allergy, we were still able to eat. We ordered the combo for $40, the jumbo uni rice bowl for $40, the braised short rib for $40, and the spicy stir-fried baby octopus for $50. The side dishes were also great and included tteokkboki and a salmon neck. The uni bowls were our favorite; lots of uni and was balanced well with the rice and additional toppings. According to my mom, the marinated crab was great. The braised short rib was cooked nicely but lacked a bit of flavor. The baby octopus were chewy but the sauce was a bit overwhelming. Overall | 4.4 The ambiance + service: 4.5/5 The food: 4.2/5 The price: $$$

Siv S.

Yelp
Pass it on the way home and was always intrigued. So happy to stopped. Everything was delicious. If you like seafood or spicy food, you would enjoy. I really loved the seafood pancake. Service was friendly and prompt. Place is a bit tight, not easy if you're in a wheelchair but if you have a cane or walker, you should be fine.

Sharon C.

Yelp
Crab House lives up to the hype. Visiting from out of town and craving marinated crabs, this spot was recommended by locals as a humble hole-in-the-wall place to get delicious raw marinated crabs. Located in LA downtown, parking can be a little tricky during peak hours. The restaurant itself is also pretty small so not a lot of seating. I would highly recommend ordering the soy marinated crab, spicy marinated grab and uni rice bowls. The uni rice bowls were to die for - we ordered a second round after having it. The service is also fantastic, very friendly and they will get you what you need fast. Highly recommend this spot!

Susan K.

Yelp
Don't get fooled by the reviews!! You don't wanna pay $40 for a tiny little crab that has no meat and talking about the service, except for the female owner, the man and the servers need to get educated on how to serve and communicate with the customers. I would never go back to this place!!

Lucia L.

Yelp
Holy CRAB, I'm so glad I got to finally try @ktowncrabhouse ! This little hole in the wall mom and pop restaurant is beloved by even Blackpink's Lisa, and is 100% worth the hype around their famous raw marinated crab. My must order dish is their Korean soy marinated crab, which is literally so incredibly fresh, and pairs perfectly with the build-you-own rice bowl that they give you. I also LOVED the Uni bowl, which come with super huge and fresh Uni pieces, rice and roe. Their spicy seafood stew is also loaded with crab, shrimp, and fish, and is definitely a good option if you're not craving raw seafood. Service wasn't the most attentive or friendly at times, but that's how you know this spot focuses on authentic, high quality Korean food. There's also $4 parking, although valet leaves if you come after 8 PM. Featured here: Korean soy marinated crab uni bowl spicy seafood stew

Elaine N.

Yelp
K-Town Crab House has been on my list of places to try ever since I moved to LA years ago, and I'm so glad I finally stopped by! For raw dishes, we ordered: the USA raw marinated crab and uni bowl. Both were fresh and rich in flavor, and the raw marinated crab was slightly sweet. As someone who can't eat too much raw food in one sitting, I also ordered the Korean-style braised short rib and seafood pancake to balance things out. My fiance and I loved the seafood pancake which was loaded with a ton of seafood. While the dishes are a little pricey, the quality and freshness is definitely there. For my next visit, I think I'd try the spicy raw marinated crab instead just for something a bit more savory.

Christina B.

Yelp
This was a very delicious experience! Parking around here is pretty tight. There's a small parking lot outside the restaurant, but because the restaurant is sharing this lot with multiple buildings, it can be quite tough to find parking on a busy day. The service and ambiance here is very friendly. A grandma helped serve us and she made us feel very at home (: There were many great side dishes. Great side dishes really add a factor to how much I like a place! We ordered two kind of raw marinated crabs: spicy and soy sauce. The spicy one was quite mild. I think the soy sauce crab is the star of the show! It's very sweet, umami, and full of roe! We also ordered some lettuce wraps and pork, which my boyfriend loved!

Alyssa S.

Yelp
A small establishment in ktown known for their raw marinated crabs. We came around 5 on a Saturday but didn't have any trouble parking ($4 in the plaza) and got seated right away. Definitely got more crowded as the night went on. Although any parties that were waiting were able to put in their order right away so it was ready by the time they sat down. We ordered the soy crab and uni combo as well a few other dishes. The soy crab and uni dishes were smaller than I expected but I will say that they tasted delicious. The other dishes we ordered were also amazing. We got a small order of bossam but that was actually more than I expected. The soondubu jjigae was some of the best I've ever had. I'm still craving it! They serve boricha to drink along with your meal. Overall had an absolutely amazing dinner here! Definitely left feeling full and satisfied!

Yelp
Amazing seafood and an LA staple! Crab House is widely know for their Korean Raw Marinated Crabs and they sure don't disappoint on it. The crab is always so fresh and soaking in their sauce. They have either soy or spicy and a range of size options to choose from depending on how big your party is or how hungry you are! They also have many other unique seafood dishes such as their unique bowl, monk fish stir fry, and seafood stew, which are all very delicious as well! Like every Korean restaurant, every very order comes with a hand full of banchans.I been here a handful of times and a good amount of those times the workers would be so kind and give a random dish for free, and they wouldn't just give it to us, they would pass it out to everyone! The workers are always so kind every time you walk in. It always feels like you're welcomed with tender loving Korean care. They will always check on your table, even the cooks in the back would check. Food and drinks is always brought out very fast, and they're always there when you need anything. This place is a hole in the wall kind of vibe. Not in a dirty sense, but more of a not too decorated, not too big, and not the most modern. Overall still very clean restaurant. It doesn't have much tables, but they tables they do have can hold big parties. I will advise to carpool because the parking lot isn't the biggest and it shares with other restaurants. This place is very popular in LA so don't underestimate the wait during peak hours.

Yelp
Crab House is a super solid spot for first timers looking to try raw marinated crab or uni rice. This is a popular spot among older Korean ahjummas and ahjussis to hang out. The wait times can get pretty gnarly during peak business hours, but on a Sunday afternoon this is the perfect spot to bring a small group after church. I highly recommend the uni bap if you've never tried it. The rice, quail egg, seaweed salad and masago are served in the uni shell with the fresh uni still clinging to the walls of the sea urchin. This is actually so mind blowing if you've never had sea urchin like this. It's totally different from having it at a sushi restaurant! Not a good spot for big groups, but a great place to bring a group of 4. My only gripe is that after waiting for about 30 minutes with a friend who only wanted to try the uni rice, we were asked to just order to go and eat it on the bench outside since we weren't going to order much. That's just Korean business owners for you.

Yelp
Tried raw marinated crab for the first time and wow. Was not disappointed!! So buttery and melts in your mouth

Yelp
Service is good and the food was decent. Make sure to call for a reservation in case if you have a big party.

Yelp
If you're here for dinner, be ready to wait. The best time to come would be during the weekday for lunch! You don't have to wait long and I recommend you come right when they open. Their barley tea is so refreshing. Each time I come here, I literally drink their whole supply. One time, the waitress had to go start brewing some because I kept asking for more LOL At the time, we did come towards closing time haha The spicy raw marinated crab is so delicious and flavorful. I ate a bit of the Bossam but focused on the crab. We also got a soup which was pretty good too! Highly recommend! Parking can be tough but it is worth it!

Yelp
I had saved this spot when I first saw it on instagram last year and knew I had to check it out when I visit LA. I finally made it and it did not disappoint. Came around 5pm on a Saturday and there was no wait. I pulled up into the parking lot and to park there it was $4 valet. I didn't feel like driving around looking for parking so didn't mind the valet. If you're just picking for to go then parking is free temporarily. I ordered the crab combo with the extra small uni rice bowl. Banchan came out while I was waiting and it wasn't anything extraordinary but still pleasant to munch on. The star of the show was the crab and omg it just MELTS in my mouth. They give you a little bowl with toppings and I didn't know what it was at first. The older worker lady came and told me to put the crab in and put some rice in to get the perfect bite. She even went to go get me more toppings because I was eating it mindlessly earlier lol. Uni rice bowl was delicious and seafood tofu soup was boiling hot (a little spicy) and perfect to complement the meal. Highly recommend!!!

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday afternoon for a party of 2 with now wait. I've heard about this place because of the raw crab and how this and Master Ha are the go tos. I ended up getting the regular soy garlic crab, spicy crab, and the unit. I enjoyed the regualr soy garlic especially when paired with the rice and the flavor was very strong and a little bit saltier than I would have liked. The spicy marinated crab was alright. Texture was on point and nothing wrong but the flavor was so one dimensional; it was like just the taste of gochujang. The worst dish was the uni. DO NOT get the uni. It was not fresh, it was bitter, it smelled and looked old, and it looks like they reused the uni shell; I highly doubt they were shucked fresh. Although I didn't get sick from it, I felt disgusted trying to eat. Overall, come here only for their original soy marinated crab and thats all.

Yelp
A little bit of a wait, but definitely worth it. The service was efficient. Got a set with the uni rice bowl and soy marinated crab. Cannot get enough of the crab but the uni rice bowl I think about all the time. So fresh

Yelp
If you're like me and you've seen those raw crab videos on social media, this is the restaurant you wanna go for! Sadly they did not have the popular Uni bowl when I visited, but when they do, they have the perfect combination of the bowl and the raw crabs as a set. Instead, I ordered a whole plate of the Korean Soy Marinated Crab, Seafood Stew, and the USA Raw Crab Bowl. I already knew what the texture of the crabs was like, so the marinade of the mixture was rated a 5/5. It was the perfect amount of salty to marinate the crab and eat with a bowl of steamed rice! The crab bowl is their newest addition in which the crabs are already "squeezed" onto the rice in a bowl mixed with a raw egg yolk, a bed of seaweed salad, red pickled radish, and some micro greens. The banchan selection was minimal, but definitely needed with the bites. The seafood stew was actually amazing! It was better than most stews I've tried. Service is pretty substandard as the staff is doing their own thing. The shop is pretty small and they do expect the high volume of customers they get. It was an adventurous meal to say the least but totally worth it to try!

Yelp
If you have to order one thing here, get the abalone!! The abalone was so good, I still think about it to this day. I love that the rice they give has extra flavor which complements the raw marinated crab very well. They also provide crispy seaweed pieces that elevate each bite. This was my first dine-in raw marinated crab experience and I left feeling very happy about it! Much better than any raw crab you can get from the grocery store. Parking was $3 valet, and it's on a busy street.

Yelp
Food isn't bad, it's not good, its alright. The thing is I've had better Korean food. The Korean marinated crab is good, but worth the price for 1? Not really. Go for the American marinated crab, comes with 3 and 2 is equivalent to 1 Korean crab in size, and its cheaper by $10. It's very tight and small restaurant. It's comfortable, but then it's not. You'll see what I mean when you sit in (like 9 or 11 tables) The server I got before hand.. didn't give me, my partner any beverage or even ask what we wanted to drink. Which knocked a star off and I had to ask for refills. The beverage they give you is a watered down tea. A new server asked if everything is good and if we needed anything though, which was thoughtful of her. I'll keep it simple, food is mid. Each person gets a steamed metal bowl of yellpw rice and banchan to share. Had the Steamed Pork belly (M) forgot to take a picture, Korean Crab, Thin Sliced Ribeye, Uni Rice Bowl (L) also probably was the best thing, but far over priced for the amount you get. I would recommend it for the experience though, alot of KPOP and KDrama stars come here. But idk if I would come here again for another meal. (BTW, bring cash for parking for the little lot!)

Yelp
I like to think that I'm a pretty adventurous eater and when I saw all these viral videos on IG of this place, I had to bookmark this place and go here when I'm in Los Angeles to experience for myself! I've had a lot of raw seafood in my life but I realized I've never had raw crab. I guess the Japanese don't eat raw crab?? Anyways, before coming here, a friend who has been here told me the raw crab is totally a texture thing, it reminded her of Japanese ebi and she's not a fan. I on the hand actually like ebi and was very interested in the Korean raw marinated crab. In order for you to get the meat outta the crab, instead of cracking the shells, you'll need to squeeze the meat outta crab! The restaurant provides you with plenty of disposable gloves for you to use. Yes, this type of food can get really messy really easily! Don't wear white tops! I ordered the soy flavored raw crab and the spicy flavored crab and both were pretty tasty IMHO. I thought the texture was between ebi and uni so I thought it tasted pretty creamy and buttery. To complete the raw crab experience, you'll be provided with a bowl of rice and a bowl with seaweed, seaweed salad, etc to mix in the raw crab that you squeezed out to eat with. Trust me you'll want to ask for more seaweed fixing bowl to eat with the crab. If you get lost in any point of this dining experience, the servers/waitresses/Korean aunties will help you! They were pretty nice and gave me a free salmon head to eat! The restaurant has a very cozy and very mom and pop feel like. it's cute! There are street parking nearby and I totally recommend if you'll never had food like this and want to try something new. No

Yelp
I came on a Thursday night for dinner. Parking was difficult as usual for Ktown and the plaza is valet only $4 to park (I assume only for dinner hours). Wait time was about 20-30min and they do a really good job of taking your order in advance so the food if ready by the time you sit down (it is raw crabs but still service was pretty good). Banchan were all standard and tasted fine. 6/10 USA Crab $30 - soy marinade was solid. Not too salty, not too sweet, goes perfectly well over rice while eating the crabs. Maybe raw crab is not for me but I didn't think this was anything special or worth the price. 7/10 Spicy Crab $30 - crabs coated with sweet and spicy gochujang sauce was better than the soy marinade. Still not worth the price. 8/10 Seafood Stew $22 - soup was pretty solid with great flavors, not spicy, and good amounts of seafood (squid, fish, shrimp, and crab). Average price point for ktown.

Yelp
Did my RESEARCH re: raw marinated crab in K-town and was deciding between Master Ha and Crab House. Master Ha was closed, so Crab House it was. I did not want to bother searching for parking so I paid for the valet. We came on a Sunday around 5:30 and thankfully did not have to wait for a table. As we got started, a line started to form. It's not the biggest space (it can maybe accommodate 7-10 tables) so I was relieved. We got the Korean soy-marinated crab, a medium uni rice, and a seafood pajeon (pancake). The servers here were really sweet and gave us a spicy fish collar on the house, which was incredibly tender. Contrary to some other reviewers, we did not receive any sass/hostility from the ajumma waitresses but were instead blessed with some of the best fish I've had in a while. We were politely told to leave after we finished though, bc there was still a big old line outside. Pros: - Korean soy crab was SO good. My friends from Korea recommended this over the spicy crab because it is supposedly fresher. Glad I listened to them. It has the sweetest, briniest taste. I can't describe it, but it's amazing. The restaurant also gives you some rice and nori to mix into all that good stuff in the crab shell. - The banchan was FLOWING. Great napa kimchi, kimchi cucumber, japchae, fish cake, and tteokbokki. I had to restrain myself from having another round. - The pa-jeon was hot, crispy, and stuffed to the brim with mixed seafood (squid, shrimp, etc.). 100% worth the price, - Spicy fish collar...need I say more? - The uni rice was tasty but I do think it's a wee bit pricy for what you get. I got the medium uni and it didn't seem much bigger than the smaller sizes. Nevertheless, the quality of the uni was A+ and I appreciated having some rice and other fixings (seaweed salad, egg yolk, tobika, etc.) to eat it with. Between me and my friend, we spent ~$100. Yes, it was not the cheapest meal but IMO it was worth it for the quantity and quality. We also had a decent amount of pajeon leftover.

Yelp
Hmm.. I don't think we'll ever be back again. There was basically no meat in our crabs and left with just the crab mustard and the marinade. Listen, I completely understand that these crabs are not on steroids BUT I still expected at least 2 out of 3 decent crabs? We also ordered the large uni bowl which had about 5 pieces of uni inside. We also got the spicy crab and the marinade was better. Anyways, I don't think our meal was worth $120 and I'm still disappointed that we didn't get to eat a decent crab meal.

Yelp
This was my first raw marinated crab experience and now I can't go anywhere else. The restaurant isn't too big on the inside, so be prepared to wait a bit. We waited about 20min. But once we were sat they gave us banchan right away. We ordered the Korea Crab and the small uni bowl. It came with a bowl of turmeric rice for two people and some seaweed. The crab was SOOOO flavorful and juicy and squeezing it onto the rice and eating it with the marinated seaweed was AMAZING. A flavor explosion. Don't let the idea of eating a raw crab and the squishy texture deter you. The uni bowl was also super flavorful and unique, but it was almost too flavorful that it got a little overwhelming for me. The combination of fish eggs and uni and the saltiness was good, but after a couple bites, I definitely needed a refresher overall, I would totally order multiple of the crabs again. It's a little pricey, but it's definitely a place you should try once in your life!

Yelp
Nice spot with fresh seafood. All the food tasted great, especially liked the uni bowl, had a good blend of different textures and flavors

Yelp
Amazing soy marinated crab and it was very fulfilling. We also got the sea urchin medley

Yelp
I took my wife to Crab House for Wife Appreciation Day (which falls on the third Sunday of September), and it's her favorite spot. We ordered one Korean crab and three small USA crabs just for her. She was completely satisfied after finishing the Korean crab. They serve it with a mini poke bowl as a base. Since I prefer cooked food, I ordered the small Korean pork wrap, and wow, it was a lot! The pork was cooked to perfection, and I was full after just 4-5 bites. The ambiance is warm and homely, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The Korean ladies working there are especially helpful in showing you how to properly enjoy the food. The price for the raw crab is well justified--it's the best place in LA to get it. While the pork wrap might seem pricey at first, the portion size more than makes up for the cost. It's a must-try for raw crab lovers, and the cooked dishes are great for those who prefer something else.
