Every single employee is friendly, welcoming, and genuinely happy to be there. You can tell they care about their customers. The place is super clean and organized, which we love. And the crawfish?! THE BEST. Big, juicy crawfish with perfect flavor every time. Not too salty, not bland just seasoned to perfection. It’s absolutely worth the drive and worth the wait. This is the ONLY place we come to for crawfish and nothing else compares! 🦞🔥

Recently moved to Crosby and heard nothing but great things about this place. I was even more excited when I saw how crazy the lines were. The service was amazing, everyone was extremely nice and the line moved very quickly. Unfortunately the food was not up to par. I ordered 2 combos of crawfish, shrimp, corn, sausage, egg & mushrooms. Server recommended Medium LA seasoning for the most flavor so that’s what we ordered. If you are looking for spice it is here but if you are looking for flavor there is absolutely none. I really hoped to add this place to my roster of Crosby gems but unfortunately I don’t think I will return. The price I paid simply didn’t match the quality.

This place is AMAZING!! It’s worth the drive and the crawfish was on point. Had an amazing time. Definitely recommend.

This place is one of the best crawfish establishments I’ve been to and I’ve been to multiple over the years all over Texas. Our waitress was amazing, very attentive and friendly! The crawfish had amazing flavor and was super easy to peel. I cannot rave about this place enough and highly recommend this place to anyone looking to eat crawfish!

The drive thru moved swiftly. They have a waitress taking orders up and down the line. Be sure to tip her! I ordered the Shack Trio to go. I have only one complaint. The potatoes are bland and hard. Those potatoes need seasoning. Otherwise, everything else was delicious.

Great crawfish and atmosphere. A little wait, but worth it, and they are super organized. We make it a point to visit at least twice a year.

The food was very flavorful and a decent amount. Leftovers were better the next day. I either they were open year round.

If you are looking for delicious, savory, and FRESH CRAWFISH this is the place to be! The restaurant is in a covered, but open atmosphere. Be prepared to wait as this place gets packed very quickly. I would suggest going when they open to have a shorter wait time. Now, as soon as you come make sure you check in so you do not get skipped and take your seat. You can choose between mild, medium, mo spicy, med LA, and Spicy LA. I chose the Med LA with shrimp, garlic butter, and lemon juice on side. The spice was enough to enjoy and still get the kick of Louisiana flavor. Please note they do have a children's menu for the non crawfish eaters. If you are new to the crawfish game or a true crawfish lover come here and grab a taste of happiness! Tip: It is BYOB! Do not forget to bring your cooler with your fave drank! Please add their crawfish seasoning to fulfill your tastebuds!

Absolutely delicious and amazing atmosphere. I recommend getting the medium LA spice. It comes saucy and so good. The service was 10/10, it is such a good vibe. We went at 2pm on a saturday and it was still pretty packed. Crawfish came out boiling hot and they were good quality crawfish. We drove more than an hour to eat here and it was so worth it!!

First tip, be prepared to wait. Once you navigate parking, you may walk up on a long line. This place is popular because it is BYOB. Admittedly the last time we tried to go the lines were so long and we just went further down 2100 until we found another crawfish spot that looked legit and was less crowded(I reviewed it some time ago). The servers are nice. It was surprising that some of them drove from College Station to work there. I think we tried a milder blend which wasn't very seasoned so you may want to aim for a mid-level for more kick. We will keep this in the rotation on days we have time to wait.

Yesss. Very good and well seasoned crawfish. I love that you can drive thru and pick up your bags of crawfish. Lots of extras to add to the bag also. We added boiled eggs, corn on the cob, mushrooms, potatoes and sausage. Everything was fresh and tasty. My only disappointment was the extra items mentioned above were put in a separate bag without seasoning.

Once again I find myself making the Mud Bug Pilgimage to Crosby. Nothin' but good times, despite the climate change-driven difficulties in the crawfish market. I did pay more than I have. Did I get what I paid for? Lemetelyawhat, the value offered was a bargain before, and comparatively, it still is! Here's pictures, ask me no more questions!

Shack combo was just right. We had both styles nice and SPICY. Waitress was very attentive and polite.

I love the crawfish season here. The wait is worth it for dining in and trying to get out the house. I have been here multiple times every time I receive great food, drinks, and service. My friends and I every year plan a day to come to get crawfish even though we live an hour or more away. It makes you feel like you are at a crawfish boil with family.

Love the drive-thru convenience. They get busy but it's worth it! The crab legs are the best in Lufkin and the best price. Wednesday is boiled shrimp special price night. Pleasant service too! Highly recommend.

We drove out from Richmond on a Friday and arrived around 4 to plenty of parking. We were greeted warmly by Dan (who turned out to be the owner) and a hostess and taken to a picnic table with our cooler (we had read online about the BYOB). Our waitress was friendly and helpful in explaining the menu options and ultimately we decided on 2 pounds crawfish, 1 pound shrimp, 1 sausage, and 1 pound snow crab legs w mo spice - a lot of food for two people but we did it! The food was fantastic and honestly seemed like generous portions. Dan was making the rounds and we had a nice chat with him about the family run business. Overall a very chill vibe and fun time with great value! We'll be back!

We visited the Crawfish Shack on a Friday night. There was a full parking lot, a drive-thru lane, and dozens (and dozens) of hungry patrons waiting outside. If you can't find parking on your first turn around the parking lot, I recommend dropping off everyone at the front and looping around again. On our secound try, we found a great parking spot that was well lit. For our party of 4, we waited about an hour. There is a constant flow of people leaving and people being seated. We entertained ourselves while we waited so it didn't feel like it took so long. Once we were seated, our waitress Stasha was fantastic. She was quick, friendly, very knowledgeable, and kept coming back to check on us. We dined on: - 2 lbs of medium spicy snow crabs with LA - 1 lb of the meaux (mo) spicy level crawfish - 2 lbs of the medium spice level crawfish - Crawfish Etoufee Our food was incredible and we even had enough to take some home. It made drive + wait time worth it. I can't wait to go back. I recommend you give them a try.

Food is always good here. Service is as well. It is an outdoors restaurant so if you enjoy that then the ambiance is nice too.

There was a section of the restaurant partitioned for a private party but the was a DJ with volume so loud the rest of the restaurant was furious. Apparently this party was for a friend of the owner and they would not turn down the volume. Here is the message - the owner is more important than the customers. The owner can now post some response about customers focus but his actions speak louder than posting stuff in order to preserve his income stream.

Drove by this place wanting crawfish and noticed the long wait outside so I figured this place must be really good. Hell. No. Customer service was terrible. They have stupid rules that "been working for us for years" that really screws over the customer. The wait outside is just a business tactic that clearly worked on me and who knows how many others. The inside had a lot of empty space but they just don't sit you because it's their rules (don't even try to get an explanation from the owner of the wife, they will give you the run around). Second, nothing special about this crawfish. Matter of fact, it was very subpar. Water. Salt. Crawfish. If you want spice, cayenne pepper. That's it. I didn't taste garlic, paprika, onion powder, anything that goes in a good boil at all, it was literally brown, salty water. My lips were wrinkled after eating 2 lbs. I ordered 3lbs. I barely managed to do the 2 lbs. I left a whole pound on the table. I was so dehydrated from all that salt that I couldn't continue. Anyways, that's just my 2 cents. If you want good quality boil crawfish, go to LA CRAWFISH, THE FAMOUS CRAB, LOTUS FLOWER, hell, even MAMBOS is better than this place (sorry MAMBOS).

Amazing staff! Owners come to visit with us every time we go! Food is absolutely amazing!! BYOB!! We usually don't take our kids it's more of a date night for my husband and I but when we do they have meals for the little ones too!

The BEST crawfish hands down. We have been coming here for years, since they opened. Returning customers because the crawfish is the best and the staff/service is always amazing. We always look forward to crawfish season because this is where we know we won't be disappointed. There is always a line, but it's worth the wait. Friendly atmosphere and BYOB. It does get hot towards the end of the season, so I recommend bringing one of those little portable battery powered table fans if you're going in May. Other than that, enjoy!

Bathroom 5/5: The bathrooms are single-use so expect a line during peak hours. They were cleaned, well supplied, and orderly. Dining Area: 5/5: The place is indoors with an indoor/outdoor flow when the windows are open. For TX weather they were well prepared. Plenty of fans, and plenty of space between tables and high-top tables. There's not a bar area for single or solo visitors so expect to occupy an entire table by yourself. Customer Service 5/5: For a party of 4 we had no wait. We were seated right away and our waitress attended to us right away. She dumped our shells and checked on us quite frequently. Food 5/5: The crawfish was really good. I have been coming here since I was a kid. The food has always been good! They have crabs, shrimps, crawfish, etc. Price 3/5: We paid about $20 per person. They charged us for gloves, 50cents for water, and refills. So keep that in mind. Overall 22/25: I love this place. It's BYOB !! Can't go wrong with that. They post updates on their FB page so check it out before you go for any last-minute changes.

I can't give a fair review on the seafood. I'm allergic. But the sausage was delish. My dining mates all enjoyed the large bowl of crab legs. Shrimp and crawdads. Why would anyone eat a crawfish ewww... Fun vibe place~ the staff were all quite pleasant and accommodating...

Hands down the best Louisiana style crawfish in Houston. The service is always great. The servers are very alert and come back pretty often to check on you. The owners will not serve unless the product is up to standard. So consistency will always be their key.

Been coming here for a couple years and although it's a drive from where I live it's well worth it! Good size crawfish, and the more spicy is a spice lovers dream. Service is good and the prices are fair. Great place for groups, kids and dog friendly. Also it's byob so you can enjoy your mud bugs with and ice cold beer.

As Always there crawfish are spicy, clean, and $9.99 lb when everyone else wants to charge $14 and $16 a pound! Only thing I would change is season the corn more lol! I finally don't have to go to Louisiana to get my Crawfish fix! Thank you guys! Y'all are the best at what you do and that is boiling crawfish!

First off the place gives prejudice, they don't accommodate babies in a stroller they won't allow you to sit with your party they'll make you sit on the complete opposite side of your party. They also have a confederate FLAG. I wouldn't recommend driving 40 min out and have a bad experience like we experienced. Crawfish is also very average you can find better in the city.

They have 10/10 crawfish and restaurant style butter but a very long wait if you're dining in.

This business has both indoor and outdoor seating, the BEST flavor of crawfish I've had in crosby, && the most amazing service that never changes. Consistency is key along with cleanliness.

Crawfish was AMAZING! Cooked to perfection! Service was great. BYOB which is always a win win! Nice clean establishment! Female restrooms are extremely clean! Bucky's would be put to shame. Only thing is it is soooo far from me! Would I make the drive again? Absolutely! Our waitress Megan was awesome!

Once again never disappointed, this is the best dang crawfish in the whole Houston area. The service was amazing, we got served quickly and the waiters are always around so you never have to wait for anything. Even the owners will walk around and make sure you're going good. I will always love this place I highly recommend it!

Crawfish Shack is our go to spot for our mudbugs, They have never disappointed us and is the closest your going to get to a real Louisiana style taste. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Meaux for years of enjoyment, fun and great memories with our family's as we all come together every season at your establishment. The crawfish is not worth the judgment and terrible service. I use to love this place. Our whole family use to come here. I will no longer support this place or any establishment that turns me away because the clothes I'm wearing, especially when I am covered and the lady which is Dan's wife- Dan is the owner... she was extremely rude. This place is a joke! Customer service is terrible they judged me because I have big boobs/am a busty lady and the lady (Dan's rude wife) at the front tried to tell me they have a dress code I'm wearing a halter top and my top is in line their dress code. The dress code states no swimsuits, no see through shirts and a couple other things. What does my age have to do with anything? I'm actually a grown adult. I'm 27... your response is complete bs and yes you can implement your own rules but you clearly are a jealous insecure women Bc I was dressed very decently and there was other women who don't have as big of breast with cleavage who werent turned away. I saw and heard the situation Bc I was there. I read your sign. And told you I am in line with the dress code and I said this is not see through nor a bathing suit top it is a halter top. Your response was snobby and judgmental you said "well it looks like one" (assuming you were referring that my top looked like a bathing suit top when it does not) I am also wearing pants. Imagine being a women who owns a business that doesn't support other women and turns people away based on their own insecurities. Image making a young women feel bad Bc she couldn't take her family to have food at a place they use to love Bc the owners are complete shit. Quick drive thru for being backed up to the feeder. Dine in opens up on Feb 16, 2022. I got 2lbs crawfish only in Mo spicy the hottest level. It was good heat not even half way through the bag my nose was leaking. I'll probably go down a level to see what the heat is like under that next time. Sizes were great.

The place is BYOB, you can bring beer or liquor a lot of people come with coolers. There's always a long wait time, and the season is normally hot! And you're basically outdoors, be prepared to sweat heheh... The crawfish is good but they're dry rub I prefer WET AND JUICY lol they're pretty spicy!

If you're willing to wait then giving them a try. We have picked up and ate there. I'm not much of a crawfish person, but their shrimp, mushrooms, red beans and rice are my favorite. They also have kids meal for little ones. Shrimp are big and juicy with the perfect amount of seasoning. Oh, and their potato's big, soft and melt in your mouth once dipped in butter. The other great thing is you can bring your own drinks (gas station across the street). Again, this place is great if you don't mind the wait!

Really great crawfish and crab! Traditional style crawfish prep that comes to the table pretty quickly after ordering. Crowded, but the wait wasn't too bad. We were a party of 10 and only had to wait about 30 min. They won't let you put your name on the list until the whole party is there, literally standing under the awning. However, we had our cooler with us and the wait wasn't too bad at all (we came at 2pm on a Sunday). Parking is terrible -- they have two lots and we had to circle each a few times before we lucked into a spot, which is what all of our friends had to do too. But aside from that we all had a really great time! Great food, friendly wait staff, good service. It seems as though they cook the add-ins separately, so for added flavor you will have to soak them in your own crawfish seasoning at the bottom of the bowl. They have four different levels of spiciness, so everyone can gets what works for them! It is also BYOB, but only for alcoholic beverages, because they sell non-alcoholic drinks there.

First timers and we will definitely be visiting again! The platter with crawfish, shrimp, and snow crab was wonderful. I got the spicy spice blend and it was the most amazing flavor that paired very nicely with the snow crab and crawfish. Honestly, I could have done away with the shrimp but it was good too. I also tried a cup of the chicken and sausage gumbo. I am not usually a gumbo person, but o.m.g....hands down the best I've ever had. The chicken was fabulous, the roux was not too dark, and the broth was not too thick and not too runny. Perfection. The staff were absolutely delightful . Every single person that we encountered was so friendly, happy, and smiling. They welcomed us, tended to our every need, and sent us home with a fully bellies and smiles on our faces. GREAT job Crawfish Shack! Kudos!

Cant believe I'm about to say this... But this is the best crawfish in Houston. I live in the loop and cant even find decent crawfish place in the city. We drive all way to Crosby (1hr each way) just to eat here! The crawfish here reminds me of how they do it back in Louisiana! 5/5

The best crawfish in Texas, hands down! I've been to many crawfish places and this has to be the best I've ever had. They have Louisiana crawfish. The sizes are huge and the flavors is unbelievable! Amazing!

Only managed to make it here twice before crawfish season ended. If I'm still here I'll be a regular weekend visitor next season. Clean place, friendly waitresses and excellent food!

NOT WORTH IT - WORST CRAWFISH I EVER HAD 2 hours in line for this. the guy who took my order , didn't told me that mild means that the crawfish is just boiled in water. I find out until the cashier told me, even tho I told them both it was my first time and for me mild means just not spicy but you expect some seasoning. I told her when I was paying I didn't wanted if is just boiled it and she keep saying "you will be fine " in rude way. This crawfish are LITERALLY the most smallest tales I have ever seen. Not worth the drive, the wait. It doesn't even taste anything. Gumbo was okei. I spend 55 dollars for pretty much awful food. Don't waste your money

The BEST crawfish spot in Houston. The service, environment, and food is so freaking good. They are actually generous with the spices! I live 45 minutes from this place and it's absolutely worth the drive. Even if the place is packed, you're guaranteed to get a table within 30-45 min. BYOB rule makes it so much better.

I am very disappointed with this place I have heard many good things about it in the past and I was excited to come try it out. My experience did not match my expectations and you all let me down! I would not recommend this place to anyone I am very big on customer services and the energy it brings to the restaurant.. I ordered the spicy 2 pounds of crawfish and boiled shrimp. The shrimp was not boiled it seemed to be steamed only thing was great about the shrimp was the flavor was fully thru .. not the same for the crawfish! It was seasoned on the outside but NOT THE INSIDE.. i had to use extra seasoning! Plus they were the small shrimp that is used for a po boy sandwich .. That is not BOILED SHRIMP! My 2 pounds of crawfish definitely looked on the smaller size portion .. If you are a sauce person !!! Listen up !!!!!! THEY HAVE A DIPPING SAUCE THAT IS NOT GOOD ! It is sweet! Yuck! We wanted Mayo and ketchup but the server insisted on getting us their sauce . She stated word by word "if you don't like the sauce we have we can take it back". That is not True! We tried it and didn't like it .. ask her if she could just bring the Mayo and and ketchup bowl and spoon .. not knowing that we were then charged for the condiments packets (Mayo and ketchup) without being told prior to asking for them , that we would be charged . As we received the bill we see we had additional prices added on the bill . Spoke to server and she mention that the manger told her to charge us for the packets as a dip sauce.. when the equivalence of the cup of sauce and the packets def don't add up ! I asked to the speak to the Manager .. and tbh the energy and the Careless I received from the manager was a very uncomfortable one ! He gave me a BS excuses and just horrible customer service from him ALONE !! I am willing to pay any amount for great food and tip exceptionally well for wonderful customer service ( which I still left a tip for our server ) but I do not enjoy being charged hidden fees regardless of how much extra the cost is ) You never know who someone is when they enter your establishment .. so you should treat everyone fairly
