"This past December, the long-awaited addition to chef Scott Crawford’s culinary empire landed with a splash. Crawford planted his flag squarely atop the mountain that is the beloved American steakhouse, with show-stopping seafood towers, massive steaks that are dry-aged in a stunning see-through aging room, and a plethora of sides and non-beef items that are as deserving of the spotlight as the steaks. The chicken is superb, the mushroom bread pudding a must-order, and the duck meatballs will disappear as soon as they hit the table, so two orders might be advisable. With a wine list and cocktail program to back up the elegant menu, this is sure to become the Triangle’s favorite date night spot." - Matt Lardie

"Six years in the making, Crawford Brothers Steakhouse opened with a splash just last month and is already set to be one of the most coveted reservations in the Triangle. Diners select from a variety of cuts of steak, all aged in-house in a specially designed glass aging room that divides the main dining room from a private chef’s table area. Aside from steak, there is a stellar roast chicken, a massive seafood tower, and a perfectly cooked Dover sole that is filleted tableside. The duck meatballs are a must, and an order of the mushroom bread pudding wouldn’t be a bad idea either." - Matt Lardie

The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was amazing. This has risen to the top of my list for steakhouses in the triangle. A fantastic array of dishes cooked perfectly and amazingly cooked meat and seafood. The wine list is fantastic. We had bone marrow, meatballs, and smoked fish dip - each was excellent, followed by a variety of steaks - each was amazing in flavor and perfectly done. My favorite was the American Snake River Farms eye of the rib. Are they trying to get on the Michelin list ? - they certainly deserve it !!

Crawford Brothers Steakhouse exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted by the wonderful hostesses, who also provided coat check—a thoughtful touch that set the tone for the evening. We sat on the bar side in the cozy bucket chairs by the window, which gave us a perfect view of the bartenders in action. The ambiance was both lively and intimate, making for an enjoyable dining experience. Our server, Hadley, was absolutely top-notch. She struck the perfect balance—attentive and knowledgeable without being overly formal. Her recommendations were spot on, and her expertise on the menu made our choices easy. The cocktails were outstanding, and the martini service was a fun and elegant experience. But the real star of the night was the food. Every dish was cooked to perfection, but the standout for us was the butternut squash soup—rich, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The braised short rib was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the scallops were nothing short of impeccable. This was truly one of the best dining experiences we’ve had, and we’re so excited to have such an incredible steakhouse in the Triangle area. Crawford Brothers made our anniversary dinner special, and we can’t wait to return!

Cary has an incredible new steakhouse, and this place is it. Crawford Brothers hit the mark in every category. The service was top-notch with everyone from the hostess to the manager who made sure we were taken care of the entire dinner. Everything was delicious, and the filet mignon and scallops were the best I have ever eaten. The steak was perfectly cooked as well. The buttermilk blue cheese dressing was amazing. And the carrot cake was incredible. Be prepared for a $200 plus tab for 2 people, but it is worth it. We will definitely be back.

Google
What an amazing meal. The view of the kitchen adds to the whole dining experience. My friends and I ordered a few various appetizers they were all amazing. When our mains came out I was impressed that all the sides were in separate dishes so we could all sample. Our waiter was very attentive and they had other staff ready to make sure our drinks were full. Looking forward to coming back for more outstanding food!

Long time Crawford fan, first time at the Steakhouse. The whole Crawford team continues to blow us away with the amazing staff, the execution of the dishes, and the best beverage program in the area, hands down. Special recognition goes to Ann Marie, Patrick, and Jordan who made us feel like royalty all evening. Highly recommend!!!

Google
One amazing new restaurant in Cary and I highly recommend it. First, our visit was in celebration of my birthday thanks to my amazing wife with a dining experience that will meet anyone’s expectations and then some. Second, I’d say it’s the best filet I’ve had in the Triangle followed by world class service and wine suggestions like no other. The asparagus is out of this world and the orange vino…like no other. Hats off of Crawford Brothers, as the ambiance and courses were beyond that of a standard steakhouse. Looking for a special event space or dining experience like no other? This is it!

Google
Wowza! Crawford Brothers was absolutely amazing! I definitely recommend this steakhouse if you're celebrating a social even or are really craving an amazing steak. There is a large parking lot across the street that goes by the restaurant on the left or you can park in 1 of the 2 parking garages on site at Fenton. The decor and ambience in the restaurant is great. We got to sit in the corner both table right by the kitchen pass so we could watch the action. Our server, Holly, and the sommelier were excellent. The waitstaff here is overall very smooth and attentive. I have to say one of the other servers is a bellower so it would be nice for the servers to remember to use their indoor voices. Otherwise some sound dampening strategies in the restaurant would also be helpful. On to the food: the duck meatballs were luxurious and meaty. We moved onto and shared a bone in strip steak (21 oz) that was cooked to perfection per our preference. I'm sure the Waygu choices are also delicious so will have to try one next time. The accompaniments were also fantastic. If you go now (May) make sure to get the strawberry shortcake. Not your mother's version but the strawberry flavor is on fire and so delicious! Definitely go and make reservations way in advance or you'll be disappointed if you can't get your date and time.

I want to start with the positives— the food was amazing, the bartenders and drinks were fantastic, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was great. However, we visited for my birthday, and the experience didn’t meet our expectations. My wife made a reservation in advance, and we arrived 10 minutes early. When we checked in, the front desk confirmed our reservation but then seated us at the bar. We were confused but assumed this might just be how the restaurant operated. We ordered drinks, and about 12 minutes after sitting down, my wife’s phone rang from a random 919 number. I answered, and to my surprise, it was the receptionist asking if we still planned on coming to the restaurant. I responded, “Yes, we are already here—someone sat us at the bar.” Roughly 25–30 minutes into our visit, while I was in the restroom, a staff member approached my wife and said, “We have a table reserved for you, but we didn’t know who we sat.” This was frustrating, as we had been waiting without any communication. When I returned, we moved to the table, but there was no acknowledgment of the mistake or mention of my birthday. When we finished our dinner, we received the check without so much as a “Happy Birthday” or an effort to make up for the mix-up. Had this not happened, I would have easily rated the restaurant 4 or 5 stars. Since we made reservations specifically for a special occasion, we expected more. I hope that once they work out these service issues, this restaurant can truly deliver an awesome experience to match its great food. For me, the food was there, but the experience was not.

Yelp
Fine dining in an incredible environment. Crawford Brothers met and exceeded all expectations. Service was excellent, managers and staff worked seamlessly to take the absolute best care of our party. Menu covered about everything, and no one at our table was disappointed. I'm ready to come back... even if it's just for another kale salad and old fashioned. lol

Yelp
Our first visit, and I have nothing but accolades for this place!! Excellent food and service, besides being seated pretty quickly for our reservation. The short rib was the most flavorful I've ever had, the crabcake was perfectly seared with a crunch that was exactly as it should be, and such sweet and tasty crab meat inside with a wonderful lemon caper remoulade sauce. Lastly, the dessert; a vanilla bean and Videri chocolate soft serve sundae, with cocoa nib crunch, toasted toffee peanuts and a salted caramel sauce, was otherworldly! This lovely restaurant is a standout, and the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful as well! They really give attention to detail, and you can observe that they all work as a unified team. So impressed and we can't wait to return!

Yelp
Sunday Brian's this place had buzz. I grabbed a seat at the bar, enjoyed a nice glass of Cabernet Franc and light meal. Bar service was as expected, nothing over the top. While the couple next to me seemed to really enjoy their steak, I wasn't on that mode. I opted for the kale salad - lightly dressed with vinaigrette, fresh and firm kale, and surprisingly stand out hazelnuts, but way too much manchego cheese. So much cheese I shoveled a couple tablespoons to the side. The winner for the evening was undoubtedly the seared halibut. Delicate flesh, silky smooth with perfectly crisped skin. The blend of fennel and beurre blanc was a palate pleaser! I know I went to a steakhouse and order the furthest things from beef, but will revisit when hungry to dig in to one.

Yelp
I must say, Crawford Steakhouse is hands down the finest steakhouse I've visited in ages. From the atmosphere to the cuisine, everything was a perfect 10/10. I went there with friends and highly recommend making a reservation in advance. Upon our arrival, the host kindly noticed I was wearing a coat and offered to take it, providing me with a ticket in return. When we got there, our table was still being prepared, and to my pleasure, we were seated near the kitchen, offering a captivating view of the staff diligently working to ensure we enjoyed the best dining experience possible. Our server, Cayla, was incredibly friendly and attentive. She possessed extensive knowledge of the menu and was refreshingly honest, which I truly appreciated. She informed us about the in-house sommelier who could assist us in selecting the perfect wine--a lovely touch! Here's what we ordered: B R A I S E D B E E F S H O R T R I B - 40 Robuchon Potatoes, Barolo Glaze *F I L E T M I G N O N 6 O Z - 40 x2 w/ B L AC K T R U F F L E B U T T E R - 10 S T E A K H O U S E R O L L S - 10 Whipped Butter, Sea Salt P OTATO P U RÉE - 13 x2 European Butter, Sea Salt In addition to our main courses, we enjoyed in two incredible desserts and enjoyed a glass of Syrah, a Hugo Spritz, and sparkling water. It was also great to reconnect with some familiar faces from other Crawford locations. Overall, our experience was outstanding, and the food was simply delicious. Just a heads up--be prepared to spend a bit!

Yelp
Overall Experience: I recently visited Crawford Brothers Steakhouse and had an amazing experience for my birthday! The hospitality was immaculate! Upon being greeted, the hostess asked if we're celebrating anything and wished me a very happy birthday and complimented my outfit. Service: The service was amazing! Our waiter's name was George. He gave us his recommendations and even gave us extra time to figure what we wanted from the menu. He was extremely nice and knowledgeable about the menu. We loved having him as our server. Food: Crab claws: 9.5/10 We loved this appetizer. It was very fresh and the sauce was really good! George recommended this and it didn't disappoint. Duck meatballs: 7/10 The duck meatballs were good too. They weren't my absolute favorite but my boyfriend really enjoyed them and would order them again. I just don't think I'm a duck fan. Steakhouse Rolls: 10/10 Best steakhouse bread! The rolls were really delicious! I loved the salt that was added to the top. It added to the texture variety of the rolls. The butter was very soft and smooth to spread. Creamed Spinach: 7/10 It was tasty and well seasoned. We enjoyed it but also weren't blown away by it. Truffle Fries: 8/10 Yummy fries but you can't really go wrong with truffle fries to be honest. Waygu Coulotte: 9/10 Cooked to perfection (medium) The flavor was rich without being overpowering and it also paired really well with the black truffle butter.I thought it was good portion as well. Filet mignon 12oz: 9.8/10 My boyfriend doesn't typically eat beef however he throughly enjoyed his steak! Mushroom Ragout: 11/10 it was mind blowing! This was one of the standout dishes from the night. This addition makes me excited to try the mushroom bread pudding. Atmosphere: The atmosphere was amazing. It had a very moody aura. The booths were very nice and could easily be argued as the best seats in the house. Next time I make a reservation I would request a booth regardless of the size of party. Price: The prices were expensive honestly but i was impressed with the quality overall. I guess it's just the price of going to one of the hottest and newest restaurants in RTP! Only downside is they didn't have valet! Where I'm from it's not an upscale restaurant unless they have valet and they didn't accommodate either this luxury. I highly recommend Crawford Brothers! Especially for a special occasion! I'm confident that you'll enjoy yourself and rave about it too! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
A truly memorable experience... probably one of the best steaks I have had in quite some time! Accompanied by the sweet potato purée this meal was hard to beat. Excellent Crabcake appetizer and a very well appointed wine list. Managers didn't just waltz around looking important but actually engaged and assisted... what a concept! The one watch out---I love me so I don't mind spending the big bucks but be prepared for a bit of sticker shock for this market. $200 plus dollars for a couple glasses of wine, Crabcake appetizer and steak was a bit much and they add a 3% up charge for using your credit card... be aware!

Yelp
I had a great dining experience at Crawford Brothers Steakhouse. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the stage for a memorable meal. The service was impeccable --attentive ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our visit. We started with the crab cake appetizer, which was a standout. The cakes were packed with tender, meaty crab, and seasoned perfectly, offering a good balance of flavors. For my entrée, I opted for the lamb chops, paired with a twice-baked potato. The lamb was tender, with just the right amount of seasoning to enhance its natural richness, while the potato was cheesy. The dinner rolls, soft and warm, were a good addition to the meal. For dessert, we enjoyed the double chocolate cake, which was rich and velvety--perfect for satisfying my sweet tooth. To complement the meal, I had a Cosmo and a glass of sparkling Rosé, both of which were very refreshing. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Crawford Brothers Steakhouse and can't wait to return for another dining experience.

Yelp
Very dim lit ambience but great for a date night. Tried a lot of things on the menu and spent a pretty penny. This is not a cheap date night place! The crab cake and poached king crab were DELICIOUS! I highly recommend. The A5 Japanese Waygu was to die for. I highly recommend that as well. The scratch made lemonade was really good and the old fashioned was solid. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
As fans of Crawford Hospitality, we were eagerly anticipating the opening of Crawford Brothers in Fenton, and visited during the opening week. The restaurant perfectly complements the modern vibe of Fenton, with a stunning 20+ seat bar, a classic dark atmosphere, gorgeous wine & butcher fridges, and an open kitchen that adds to the fine-dining ambiance. Even though we were seated at a cozy booth tucked away from the main crowd, the servers were attentive without being intrusive, clearing our table promptly between courses and ensuring we had everything we needed. For appetizers, the bone marrow was a standout. The parsley and pickled onion accompaniments elevated the dish, enhancing the texture and flavor. Both our steaks--the filet and the Australian Westholme--were cooked to perfection (medium and medium-rare). I was impressed that there were over 10 sauce options to complement the steaks, which adds a fun level of customization! Among the sides, we especially loved the beef tallow fries, which had a rich tallow flavor (if you enjoy such tastes), and the mushroom ragout bread pudding (hearty and filling). The execution of the meal was excellent overall, but I noticed that the menu seems to cater to a more high-end audience compared to some other steakhouses in the Triangle. For example, only three steak options are under $100, and while the price per ounce is reasonable, larger portions like the 40 oz steaks make it challenging for smaller parties. Besides the "exclusiveness", Crawford Brothers reimagines classic steakhouse sides with a creative twist, which results in portions can be notably smaller than traditional establishments (e.g., Nana's Steakhouse in Durham, Stoney River in Chapel Hill). Personally, I appreciated the creativity, but I can see how it might be a departure from the more familiar steakhouse experience some may expect/hope. Overall, Crawford Brothers is a great addition to Fenton, and glad to try out this contemporary take on the classic steakhouse experience.

Yelp
Food is amazingly upscale without the outrageous prices. Preparations are tested techniques. The menu ranges from a 6-ounce filet mignon to a giant 40-ounce prime Porterhouse.. There are dry-aged steaks, Wagyu-style beef from the US, Australia and Japan, plus veal and pork chops. If you notice a nutty unctuousness, then Crawford Brothers finishes their steaks with brown butter mixed with beef fat. The meat locker at Crawford Brothers Steakhouse prominently displays some of the restaurant's beef offerings, including giant tomahawk ribeyes and impressive dry aged steaks The sizzle, the crust all make the difference. The truth is there are a million ways to make a great steak. Crawford Brothers goes with an intensely hot broiler, as in 1,200 degrees hot. Crawford thought about going with a higher temperature sear. "I wanted the crust of a cast iron pan," Crawford said. "So we tried several different broilers: 1,600°F to,1,800°F. It was great if you like char, which I do, but we felt 1,200 gave a nice crust, but still kept the integrity of the steak." Service is top notch fine dining style. This brand new location is highly recommended.

Yelp
If I could give this place 10 stars I would! The food was so delicious, the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff was super friendly. Everything we ordered was flavorful and seasoned to perfection. We had the crab cake appetizer, short ribs, sweet potato puree, lamb chops, creamed spinach, and two cocktails. I would definitely return. I highly recommend making a reservation. Plenty of parking in Fenton. And bring your big wallet!

Ron P.

Yelp
Food was very good. So many servers standing around that you always had what you needed. Not very handicap accessible. No valet service. No close parking. We watched an older group stand under the door ledge for 15 minutes in the rain before the doors opened at 5 pm. Our server A B Brown was excellent. Will come again.

Michelle R.

Yelp
This is an amazing experience. First of all, for everyone familiar with the rolls they had at Crawford & Son....they're HERE! Of course the service is top notch and the atmosphere amazing. Now the food...besides THE ROLLS ...we had the Siberian Caviar and while pricey, it's the best I have had since Beluga on the Caspian Sea (yes, I was there in '78). Highly recommend!!! My husband had the short ribs which were UNBELIEVABLE in tenderness and flavor. I had the filet with the twice baked potato, AMAZING!!!! For dessert we had the coffee press with the Hazelnut Trifle. WONDERFUL! Get a reservation as soon as you can! Best restaurant in Cary.

Ron P.

Yelp
Not great - especially for the price. Dinner was comically salty - the saltiest food I've ever been served in my life . Even the ice cream sundae was laughably salty. Aside from salt, the only other tool In the toolbox for the kitchen is to drown everything in butter. The sauces were basically butter and salt. The side dishes were butter with a little potato or a little sweet potato. You get the idea. This is artless food that excels only in excess. It doesn't really mater, but the men's room was sort of a metaphor for how ridiculous this place is. The urinal is approximately at the height of your shins. The sink has an IR sensor mounted so far from the basin that you can only rinse one hand at a time. You need to use one hand to activate the sensor while you rinse the other.

Yelp
My wife and I were very excited to hear that Crawford was opening a restaurant in Fenton. We were big fans of the Crawford and sons restaurant in Raleigh. So when it finally opened in Fenton, we made a reservation and sat at the bar as we like to do. Overall, it is a very nice upscale steak restaurant. The atmosphere is excellent and the bar is a very nice large comfortable bar. However, you better bring your bank account because it is very expensive. We are not cheap and we like nice restaurants but this one seems like it should be in downtown New York City expense wise. We had a couple of soups, a small salad and we shared an entrée. We also had 2 glasses of wine each and the bill was over $300 with tip. Service was above average and we do recommend it, just be aware of the expensive menu.

Ly P.

Yelp
Great service and ambiance. The Seafood Chowder was absolutely delicious. But the steak was not good at all. Since it's a steakhouse, that's kind of a big deal. I had the Wagyu, American Snake River Farms Eye of the Rib 12 oz ($140) medium rare. It was really chewy and did not have much flavor, that's probably why they have so many different sauces available. When asked how my food was I let the waiter know that it was not what I expected for Wagyu and how chewy it was. It was explained that it would not be as buttery as the A5 Japanese Wagyu. I wouldn't expect that but it should be comparable to other American or Australian Wagyu. But it was more comparable to clearance grocery store steak. I'd go back for the chowder but wouldn't have steak there again.

Morgan L.

Yelp
Loved! My brother and I shared dishes...everything was very good and we already know what's next to try! Everyone was also very warm and welcoming. Keep it up! We will be back!

Bob S.

Yelp
I'm not very impressed at all.......the 3% add-on for credit card payments seems stupid ....... You're supposed to be a high-end steak house ( act like it ) The food was just average, way overpriced steak.....we ended up asking to move as the first table given was at the bar service section, the second table was not much better but at least in the main dining room. The kicker was at the dessert portion of our meal they sat a young man at a table across from us who looked homeless or some wack job getting on a spirit flight..... when we paid the bill, I asked on the way out, does the establishment have a dress code, hostess knew whom I was referring too and said sadly no! We spent $425 for 2 people and did not buy any wine!

Eleanor A.

Yelp
Food is 5 stars, but the atmosphere was uncomfortable for me. It was so ridiculously dark and made me feel that it tried too hard to be trendy. We were seated next to some very loud people. The staff was very good. It is hard to really enjoy a meal when you can barely see it, plus having to listen to other's conversations. Now, after eating the leftovers at home, I realize that the food was delicious. It is very pricey, especially if you want a steak, 16 ounces to start. Our meal for two was over $200 and I am sure our friend's bill was much higher as they had drinks and a steak too. If I go back, it will be when the sun is shining.

Jacqueline J.

Yelp
Nice spot and food was delicious...can't wait to back back to try other items! My table had the rolls, seafood chowder, caesar salad, Waygu with king crab oscar, short ribs, beef tallow fries and of course the Baked Alaska. Service was great.

Joshua W.

Yelp
Food was good, service was good, ambiance was good. EXTREMELY overpriced for the size and quantity. Would not go back. Had to go to McDonalds on the way home because I was still hungry. If you like expensive tiny portions, this is your place.

Neal E.

Yelp
3% for using a card. Wow. Can I write a check? With an already $80 filet you are just nickel and dimming folks

Jeremy B.

Yelp
This new restaurant has excellent food and attentive service but is way overpriced. Everything I ate was good, including a Prime New York Strip steak, a sweet potato side, and a hazelnut dessert. It is very dark in there, hard to see your food and you need the phone flashlight to see the menu. The wine was $29 a glass for a small pour on a bottle I later found it costs $49 in a wine store. The menu had few options for a regular sized steak. Two options were priced at $7/oz. I tried to order one but was told both were a minimum 40 ounces. That needs to be clearer on the menu. The 16 oz Prime New York Strip I ate was $98. These are top-end prices. To add insult to injury, they charge 3% more if you use a credit card. Very few restaurants do that. Scott, cut your prices.

Robin P.

Yelp
The good: The atmosphere is outstanding. We were seated in a booth in the bar area. I loved the vibe! I ordered the Vieux Carre cocktail! Phenomenal! It was balanced to perfection and came in a nicely chilled glass with the coolest ice rock ever! My husband was super excited about the old fashioned with Buffalo trace! I didn't try it but he loved it! The rolls- Amazing! Caesar salad- Amazing! Bone Marrow- best we have ever had!! Baked Alaska dessert- truly delicious Now here comes the not so good part; The $130 dollar prime rib steak special- disgusting! I hate to use such a harsh word but no other word can describe it. Our server highly recommended it so I felt like I would be a fool not try it. It wasn't edible! The fat wasn't rendered and it was extremely gristly and not chewable. We kept trying to trim it but my husband and I couldn't eat it. We were with a group of people and didn't want to make a big deal about it. We asked for it be boxed up. Today I opened it up to see if I could somehow remedy this piece of meat. When I opened the box, I was shocked to see that the server put all the fat pieces we chewed and cut up in our to go box! So incredibly gross! Picture is below. I am only mentioning this because this is way too nice of an establishment to do that. I got grossed out and just threw the whole thing in the trash. I will definitely go back but I will not try another steak there. There are so many other offerings, that I am still excited to try! Just not any of the steaks!

Glenda T.

Yelp
The service was excellent. The food was superb. The ambiance was wonderful. It will be our go to steakhouse. Another win for Scott Crawford.

Todd S.

Yelp
Last night was the single best meal we have ever had. We are foodies and it may take a foodie to truly appreciate the level of complexity that Scott has created; however, everyone will know that it is amazing. The service is fabulous and we love watching the chefs do their thing while we dine. If we could give six stars we would.

Daryl R.

Yelp
Beware that it is a restaurant that happens to offer steaks, not a "Steakhouse" that offers other items, with 6/7ths of its two-page menu reserved for cocktails, fish, salads, appetizers, and more fish. For some reason a very large bar area sits in the center of the restaurant, so dinner tables are ringed around the bar area. Our entire party was put-off by the gratuitous use of butter in every dish. Prices are 40pct higher than market for no better-than-market ingredient or preparation. Service was so-so....why does it take 7 minutes for an iced tea? It was a waste of time. If looking for a Steakhouse, you will be much happier at Oak Steakhouse in Raleigh.
