I've been to Crazee Burger twice now, and it's definitely a place with potential but with a few drawbacks. The main draw for me is the variety of meats you can try. Literally feels like it has everything! Everything from camel to gator to water buffalo to venison to salmon, to nopal, and other less fancy ones. As someone who loves trying new things, it's the perfect spot for that. The meats themselves are decent. I especially liked the water buffalo, which was flavorful. I've also had the camel (super dry), gator (pretty firm, taste a bit more like fish), and the boar (which tasted like a little bit of beef and pork mixed together).
The main downside, though, is the toppings. They're pretty basic. For a place with such unique meat options, I was hoping for more exciting, creative toppings to really elevate the burger. The sauces are fine. The fries were another letdown both times I went. Some of them were seasoned well, but others felt bland since they weren't tossed properly.
Service-wise, the staff both times I've been here was a bit on the rude side, which took away from the overall experience. It's not a dealbreaker, but it's worth noting. It wouldn't detract me from coming back again.
The seating options were fine...no issues finding a spot with our group of six since it wasn't too busy on a Friday night. There's an outside patio area which we brought our dog the first time. The only real challenge is the parking. It's in a busy area with mostly street parking, so you'll likely have to park a bit far from the restaurant. 1. Because it's in the middle of North Park and with it being residential all around and 2. with all the bars around it starting to get packed when we arrived around 9pm.
Overall, it's a cool spot if you're into trying different meats, but there are definitely some areas that could use improvement. I'll definitely give it another shot because there's a ton of other meats that I would want to try here. Your meal will cost about 20 dollars. Not too expensive.
